I love love love this clinic! When i first ment Dr. Nain he was very unsure about my munchkin scottish fold kitten but he said he was willing to hit the books and find out everything he could. Now after years and many kittens later Dr. Nain is a super hero. Today, after a major surgery my munchkin is on the mend. BIG SHOUT OUT TO THE STAFF for keeping us informed of the progress......it made the day a little more bearable. If you truely love your pets these people are willing to put in the time and effort. I know it's the best decision I ever made. Thanks again Taylor Veterinary Clinic for all your caring and all your hard work!

I've had nothing but good experiences at this clinic. I've been with them for just over a two years now, and my cats has never been treated better! Both vets are very informative, and they give you options. They really explain the pro's and con's of all the options as well. The staff there is very friendly, and you feel that they really care about the well fair of your fur family. I don't think I'll ever take my pet anywhere else!

Originally had our cat diagnosed there with urinary problems, got the food, medication and it cleared up. A few years later, noticed she seemed sick and brought her back in. Spent $750.00 for the vet to tell us he had no idea what was wrong with her. We brought her to a different vet, where she was very quickly diagnosed with a UTI. Im dissapointed the vet at Taylor Plaza did not do a urinalysis, knowing her background but insisted on every other test.

Oct. 23\18 Update: After leaving the appointment with Dr. Nain this evening; I am happy to report that the clinic has reimbursed the extra expenses incurred by the removal of Mew's catheter. Mew was given a new catheter (the one being covered here.) after having surgery on his bladder to remove the one broken at the clinic. The clinic chose the following ways to cover the cost of Mew's additional care. They reimbursed their costs for sedation in cash a total of $68.25. Followed by the remaining $249.73 to be covered by means of pet food, supplies, and services over the next few years. Both my husband, and I feel that this is acceptable repayment. Update: I have just received a phone call from Dr. Nain in response to the events that have unfolded. He has stated that there was a miscommunication at the clinic, and we were not to be charged for the catheter removal or sedation. I have an appointment scheduled with him for Monday. Where he will be reviewing the charges incurred, and what costs will be recovered... At that time I will make a decision on changing the review I left... Thank you for your phone call Dr. Nain! I look forward to resolving this issue!!! Please don't take your pets here!!! They injured my boy (male cat) ... They did do the surgery to correct the mistake... But, I have to pay for the meds, catheter removal and follow up care...unacceptable!!!! It was their mistake, their negligence!!! I will be delivering the bills to this clinic my hope is that they take responsibility for their mistake!!!!

They got me in last minute which was nice, but she barely tried to help my cat before saying I had to sedate her, which fine, extra money but ok. Turns out my cat has an infected tongue. My cat is not friendly with strangers and was in pain so she was hissing and trying to bite, so I guess the sedation makes sense. Anyway, from seeing my cat’s behaviour you would think she could get an antibiotic shot, but instead tried to give me pills, which I explained I would never be able to get her to take. So the vet gave me liquid antibiotics. Which I asked about a shot and she said she couldn’t do it, but my regular vet will give antibiotic shots. They said they gave me 15 ml, but there absolutely isn’t enough medicine for a week, I called and explained that and they said there is and that I can buy more if needed. I feel scammed, they probably only half fill on purpose to make people buy more. I found the vet cold and unfriendly. It was also quite expensive compared to my usual clinic. I don’t like writing rude reviews, perhaps my experience was a one off, everyone has a bad day at work or just isn’t “on” everyday. I’m just disappointed.

I took my friend there to have her cat spayed on Friday, on Sunday she died. She was only 3 years old. The Vet that my friend took her to in order to cremate her said it looked like they missed doing bloodwork on her. When my friend called the Taylor Vet this morning, they offered her a CREDIT before giving her a refund. Absolutely zero integrity. Don't take your pets here.

I recently started bringing my Fostering Hope rescue dog to the Taylor Veterinary clinic and couldn't be happier. The staff is so helpful, knowledgeable and patient. The doctors are caring and professional. Dr. Arya has been especially amazing ! She managed to get a tenacious infection in my pup to improve after previous vets couldn’t. I feel the staff cares as much about my dog and his well being as I do. Highly recommend!

Started taking my dog there because of low prices. First visit vet was SCARED of my dog (so obviously my dog didn’t trust her, although he isn’t dangerous it made him more scared to be there) then when they told me they would preform a $500+ surgery on my cryptorchid dog but didn’t know if they could take/find the testes out. (My new vet had no problem with this surgery and not finding testes wasn’t an option + my dog loves new vet and vice versa)... Tried them again for prices when taking my rescue cat in because he had diarrhea for weeks.. they just throw antibiotics at you. Came back after a week with no improvement and they give me more antibiotics (which obviously weren’t working).. Seems like they want you in and out fast as possible. Had me collect a “clean” sample of watery Stool (not fun).. basically involved locking the poor cat in an have him hold in his poo until he couldn’t anymore because you are making him poo where he didn’t want to...brought it in and then call back and say that we would have to wait 2 more weeks because lab couldn’t use a sample of cat was on antibiotics (which they knew we were on because they prescribed them to us.) on top of everything it was Never a very pleasant interaction with the vet. You get CHEAP service for CHEAP prices. Not worth putting your animals through The distress and more expensive in the long run... :(

We went to this clinic first time for our cat's, one having diarrhea and other one having ear infection. Highly impressed with the services provided, great treatment and we saw the improvement right from the day one. Very professional staff and the Vet was simply great. The first couple visits were ok, but then I asked to have the medication for ticks and fleas prescribed so I could get elsewhere and buy with a volume discount (you know you don't have to buy your Pet Meds from the Vet but have choice to go elsewhere?)! Well, the vet I dealt with apparently did not have much of a clue how to write and fax a prescription as it ended up taking several days and phone calls to eventually have him fax a prescription (properly) to the supplier I was getting my pets meds from . He was doing things like sending the prescription not signed, and not dated... wow, I didn't think writing prescriptions was rocket science, and anyone that is going to be a doctor of any kind (human or animals) ought to have the training to write a proper prescription. His lack of dealing with this in a timely and appropriate manner has me off to another vet, or if I do go back will ensure my dog is going to see some other vet at this business and not the fella that had trouble with the prescription.

We're a Chihuahua Breeder in Red Deer for over 7 years now. I've always taken all our Puppies here for their Vet Check, First Round of shots, Deworming etc. We've also had an older Female, that required extra special attention, Spayed by him. Also had our other Two Females and Stud Shots and checkups done here, ie second, third round of shots and Rabies shots by Him. We've also had pet emergencies handled by him. Really disappointed by the quality of service my bird received. We took our cockatiel to the vet to get his nails trimmed because we were afraid we would make him bleed. The vet made him bleed on almost every single one! If we had known that the vet would do this less than stellar job, we would have taken him somewhere else. So, in short, my bird got maimed to the tune of $35. This place is great for checkups and general bird health, but take your birdie somewhere else to get their talons trimmed.

BEST CARE! I have a little yorkie who has had a lot of health issues since his adoption. The staff at Taylor Vet love and care for Snoopy as if he were their own. I have piece of mind knowing that Dr. Nain will answer any and all of my questions and always willing to go above and beyond to help us. They are very compassionate allowing me to be with Snoopy until he is sedated, they call immediately after surgery and report his progress. I now drive from Calgary to Red Deer to bring Snoopy for his appointments and know that if I need to call they are always there to assist me in caring for Snoopy.

Our 7 month old Great Dane puppy ripped apart and ingested 5 pieces of his stuffed toy, long story short, he had to have surgery to have those removed. Our pup is recovering and he is back to being the energetic, mischievous youngster he's always been. These guys are only after your money. They treated me like I was stupid and guilt tripped me for things I couldn’t control with my dogs past. We went in to check on my dogs mammary glands and they told us they were inflamed and possibly tumours. We spent 15 min in the waiting room and they spent 5-10 min with the dog for 75$, just for them to tell us if it got worse to come back and have the 600$ surgery done. Also the male doctor is sexiest, he is very nice to my boyfriend but when it comes to me he is a completely different person (he’s the one who hung up on me) We just went to east hill cat and dog hospital and I had the most incredible experience. They spent a whole 30 min checking over my dog. They told us she didn’t have inflamed mammary glands and that she was just fat. They gave us a huge bag of diet food for free and a diet plan. Everything costed us 85$ and we got waaaaay more out of it. They also started us on an insurance plan, take your business there. They will actually treat u well and not hang up on u when u call them to ask about your dogs condition. I was treated with respect and kindness which I never experienced at Taylor. They also have 10% of spaying right now and 20% off microchips with a complimentary ear tattoo.

We take all of our animals here. We have a Dane who is high anxiety and they do absolutely everything to accommodate him on his visits. Recently we took our veiled chameleon in for a check after having seen another “exotic” vet in Red Deer. The previous vet had sent us home with Glaxal base cream and said it was “soft tissue and no need to worry” ... it’s been months and getting bigger so we took Sheldon (our chameleon) into Taylor vet for another opinion... Sheldon had an abscess above his nose that was growing and surely causing discomfort. In a quick visit we paid 1/2 the cost of the other vet clinic, including Lansing the abscess and an antibiotic injection. Hands down, we’ll continue to drive in from another town to bring our pets here. Love this place and the people in it.

Do not take your pets to Taylor Vet Clinic if they need medical attention! Dr. Sukhbir Nain should have his license revolked if he even has a license! I brought my cat there because he was scratching at his ear lots, he did the usual check up, sent me home with pills to calm him down, 3 capsules for flees, Ok, i think thats a good call (which he is an indoor cat I should mention) only goes outside on the deck when i'm there with him. He also mentions I should consider putting him down! I find that VERY odd! What kind of vet says that because he scratches his ear? He also sent me home with pills to boost my cats appetite. After a few days my cat wouldn't eat or drink water, I was worried about him so i brought him back, Dr. Nain then tells me he's diabetic! Keeps my cat there, puts him on an IV, I go back to pick him up, Now he gives me insulin and needles so I can treat my cat at home. He also mentions i should consider putting him down again! He leaves the room for 5 minutes, comes back and injects a syringe with clear liquid in my cats mouth, tells me to give him 3 more every second day! I googled what it was he prescibed, its called, Vetergestesic Bupenorephine, which is fentalnl mixed with heroin!!!!! He needs to be reported! How do i go about that?? Long story short, putting your animal down is his diagnosis for everything, or he sends you home with drugs that would kill a horse! I never did give my cat the syringes he sent me home with and still have pills he gave me. I later spoke to other friends that said he told them they to should consider putting there pet down! DO NOT BRING YOUR PET TO THIS POS! I really think he printed his certificates off the internet! HE WILL DO MORE HARM THEN GOOD TO YOUR PET!!!

I took my cat Angel in on Friday to get spayed. She was fine that night and Saturday. But she passed away last night after vomiting and having culvusions. I got a full refund of my fees but that doesn't bring her back. The vet doesn't know what happened. I will never take any of my other cats to that vet. Be warned.

Best Veterinary clinic ever! My dog now has been going here ever since they saved her toe from another vet doctor that wanted to amputate it! Anyway, she went under had it set, and it’s been good ever since. And it didn’t cost me as much as the other vet that only took X-rays. She’s now had all her shots here and been spade. Yet, she still loves coming to the veterinary clinic. I’ve never once had a dog that enjoyed and looked forward to a visit to visiting this clinic again!

After a bad experience at another vet clinic, I was really apprehensive about trying a another vet to get a second opinion on my cat's irregular blood test. Right from the beginning, everyone I interacted with here was absolutely amazing. Dr Arya was the veterinarian who looked after my cat from beginning to end. She was vet sympathetic to my previous experience, helped explain all processes clearly without fear mongering. She made suggestions as opposed to telling me what needed to be done, and didn't move forward with any treatment without ensuring I knew why it would be beneficial to move forward with and gave me cost in writing prior to do anything. She tentatively diagnosed a very rare disease in my cat and ended up being correct. I had to move my cat for further care to another vet at his rescue's request but once he gets better I will 100% be making Taylor veterinary clinic for my regular place for checkups. Also thank you to satff for being so wonderful and kind through a difficult process.

Really disappointed. I specifically stated I needed a vet ophthalmologist. I drove an hour to Red Deer. They are not vet ophthamologist. Still charged $77.00 for nothing.

I talked with the vet looking for someone to help with a new puppy that we were getting and had specific requirements. In talking with him over the phone he said that he would be able to help out. When taking the puppy in gave a lecture on why would you crop our dogs ears. Not his business to lecture me on this and it had already been done by the breeders vet for us. He was to take out the last of the stitches and help us with posting of the ears which we had never done. He told us that is not what he does and we need to figure it out with posting the ears. I talked to him on the phone about this specifically when looking for a vet and he would help us and even said that he would contact a customer to see if he could give us his number and he could help us if needed if we had any questions about ears being cropped. He did not get this information for us or even try. Not to mention a few days later after we replaced the posting we did and learnt off the internet found he had not taken out all of the stitches and we were able to pull one out but two had been in to long now and we couldn't remove them. Have to take her to a vet that does their job properly and probably pay again. Sorry I would not take anything to this vet. He lied to me and on top of it didn't do his job properly. Never again. You have been warned.

I have nothing but good things to say about this veterinary clinic. I live on a tight budget and the veterinarian worked closely with me and came up with a treatment that was both effective but was financially viable. It is rare that veterinarian is willing to work with you but Dr. Nain is a phenomenal. The care and compassion shown by the doctor and staff was incredible. The staff also called the next day to see how our pet doing. I would not consider bringing my animals to any other veterinarian office.

Called in on a Saturday to have our cat looked at. They didn't have any appointments available but offered us a 2 pm appointment for monday. They called my girlfriend at work at 9 am Monday morning to see if we could drop him earlier at 11 because of the new covid rules. (couldn't make that happen because of work) For some reason the 2pm appointment couldn't work, only other option was for next day (we had already waited the weekend) Fed up, we called Piper. And they got him in same day. Unprofessional.

First off, I was late for my appointment, not something I'm in the habit of doing but it's annoying and I get that, so there's a degree of rushing I can expect when they decide to wait for me, I appreciate that... But I don't appreciate the service that came after that, I left feeling ripped off and even more, still very concerned for my dog...

Took our 1.5 year old cat in a couple weeks ago because he want eating and was lethargic and the vet said that he was probably just being picky and gave us some medicine with no directions on how to give it to him and sent us on our way. He seemed better for a day or two and then his health started rapidly declining. We took him back and the vet said again they didn't know what it was but we could do more tests if we wanted. She then said she would ask the other vet for another opinion. The other vet came in and said he was severely dehydrated and thought maybe it was pancreatitis but he wasnt sure. He gave him an iv and sent us on our way with better directions to take care of him and how to force feed him and give him his pills. Unfortunately it was too little to late as our beloved pet passed away yesterday with late stage pancreatitis. I just feel that if they would have been a little more aggressive on the directions of what we had to do he might have had a better chance of survival. I will say the one vet did seemed genuinely concerned for our cat but the other one didnt really care.

Vet was okay but wasn't too warm. Didn't show any compassion or tried to buildup rapports with the animal or the owner. The vet check exam seemed pretty cursory. Felt like she was just pushing for procedures and medications that weren't completely necessary. I suspect she became a vet not because she loved animals but she loved money. The girl at the front was pretty unfriendly too.

They recommended what should and what should not be done, the prices are always very reasonable. We have known them since they opened and have no intention of ever changing. Dr. Nain is awesome vet! I took my cat to him about 6 months ago, she was eating too much and loosing weight and was diagnosed with diabetes. He gave me different options to diagnose it and made me really understand the pros and cons of each, I find him really honest. After this visit i took my other dog to him. I found him one of the best vet i have seen so far. He always takes the time to explain about my pets. If he doesn't know something he isn't afraid to admit it and will go look up the answer. He will do his best to your pets in your limited budget. He really cares about you as a client and about your animals.

9 months ago Dr. Arya is the only vet I would trust with my pet. She will only do the work that is necessary and always knows what best for my pet well being. Her staff is willing to go above and beyond for your pet. She will love your pet as if it was their own. You know they are always comfortable in their care. I can always rely on them to take care of my pet and get them back to the highest levels of health. I will recommend this clinic to everyone the vet and staff are amazing.

When my mother was alive, I took her cat to a clinic and left them there in the cage. He has got a very vicious temper. I needed his coat shaved and they had to anesthetize him. I picked up the cat and he was just fine but at a later date I had to get some more work done on him. The veterinary clinic refused him and said I had to take him someplace else because of his temper. Since then my mother has passed and I have inherited my mothers cat, who is the farthest thing from friendly. I talked to Dr. Nane at Taylor veterinary clinic and he said he would take care of him. Dr. Nane now takes care of my cat which means the world to me because of my mothers passing. I don’t know what I would do without Dr. Nane, but I’m glad he was there to help me. Dr. Nane and his staff are a pleasure at all times and very helpful.

We just rescued a dog and noticed his stitches broke in one spot after being neutered by another vet in Red Deer. This was the only place open and they took us in 15minutes prior to closing. Turned out it was infected. We are very greatful that Dr. Nain gave us options right there to fix him up and stayed late. He seemed very caring and good with our new pup. We will now be switching to this vet!

I had to bring my dog in after she ran into a porcupine. We got all the quills out ourselves except one stuck under her tongue. They only charged for the anesthetic and exam fee. I’ve been dealing with Taylor Vet for over a year now while fostering and volunteering with rescues and I also bring my own animals to them. They are absolutely fantastic to deal with, they explain everything in detail and are very thorough in the “simplest” of things. They won’t charge you anything with explaining the costs and why they suggest that route and they also provide you with a plan B. All the staff are amazing, I deal with Kayla (vet tech) a lot and she’s extremely knowledgeable, helpful and personable. Dr Arya and Dr. Nain are so intelligent and really have the animals best interest in their hearts. Cannot recommend them enough.

We got 2 puppies we start going to them since April our both puppies has glands problem so went to this clinic for their vaccination and check up we been there 1st time like their friendly staff both doctors there dr. Arya and dr. Nain they are awesome we receive very friendly behaviour and knowledgeable advice . As per other vet in red deer they charge very reasonable as well . The best part is they always follow up next day how is the puppies are doing after there visit at clinic if we need any help . Highly recommend taylor vet .

They are caring and compassionate towards us and our fur babies. We have lost two pets and Dr, Arya and the staff were kind, caring, and compassionate. We were not rushed in any fashion and we received beautiful cards with our pets’ paw prints and a tuft of their fur. Excellent veterinary clinic with kind and knowledgeable staff. My dog has to get injections every month and Dr.Nain has been so accommodating not to mention very cost friendly. I must also say that I really, really appreciate that they don't try to upsell you on services you don't necessarily need. For example, instead of saying "we need to do an x-ray to confirm and it's $300" they will say "this could be it, but possibly not, so let's watch for a few weeks and see before we do any substantial testing because it can be expensive". This is rare in Red Deer. Also, their long hours are incredibly convenient and even after 6pm, when the staff must be tired from a long day, I'm always met with smiles and helpfulness. I am very thankful I found this clinic! Thanks for all of the great service you've provided both me and Diego!

Dr Nain has been so kind and understanding with both our dogs. One of which has some very special needs. He always makes himself available to help us (including one time where his entire family was waiting in the lobby to catch their flight to India but he wanted to squeeze our surgery in before he left). They stayed late and did a wonderful job of stitching up my dog Lucy, who I brought in after she had been bitten by another animal when I let her out in the back. Dr. Nain stayed late until 10:00 pm and did not charge extra, saved me a visit to emergency. Price was half what I was quoted at emergency.

I have two dogs and one cat, i have taken my pets to this clinic on multiple occasions in last five years, I will say there guys are wonderful and there prices are very reasonable and they treat our pets very nice, I can't believe someone will write negative comments about them.
