Very deceptive....make sure you get everything in writing. If you don't, be ready for a bill twice the price discussed to be yours.

Wrecker of Days

I was in Osoyoos for a few nights when my dog ended up with a circumstance that, after calling my vet in the lowermainland and a few other second opinions around the Osoyoos area, required immediate vet attention. This vet was the only one that wasn't booked for weeks and I'm so glad they were free. They had the opportunity to take maximum dollar from me, knowing I was from our of town but instead were very transparent and honest with me. They offered me multiple pricing options and sent all their notes to my vet as well. They have such kind and honest service, that if I lived in the area, they'd be my vet.

I expect an animal hospital to have 1) more lab equipment than my vet 2) longer hours 3) higher standards of service. But at SPCA Penticton urine analysis take 10+ days, call backs don't happen, you get handed off to a new vet who hasn't read your records. It's been a month and I don't have results.

Excellent service! We had an emergency and they took my cat in right away. She had a head injury and they acted very quickly. We had been to 2 other clinics that wouldn't even look at her. Thankfully the SPCA has wonderful caring staff. She was released within a few hours and the bill was less than expected. Our cat is doing great and I am very relieved!!

The staff at the SPCA Veterinary Hospital are very compassionate people they help you out in dire need at probably your worst time with your sick pet. I have adopted both of my pets from the SPCA here in Penticton and I suggest to anyone out there who wants a pet please rescue one.

Dr. Mike has taken care of my Shih Tzu Sadie Elizabeth since her very first shots. She turned 10 years old last month (September 2019). I have always been happy with the friendly service towards the animals and their people. However, when an emergency popped up with Sadie, I got told full schedule, find another vet. Sadie passed away. Never will I take an animal back there.

Took my new puppy for her first shot. She is very friendly but when he put her on the table she was scared. So he sat on the ground with her so she was way more coftable. Dr. Mike made sure she would never be scared of the vet and that really did make a difference.

Dr. Mike and staffs provide excellent care for the little members of our family. Even though veterinary care aren't inexpensive, you don't get overcharged here as we experienced in the past at some other vet. Genuinely friendly, caring people.

This wasnt my first questionable experience with this vet but it is now my last one. Got a call yesterday confirming my appoinment for my dog's shots i confirmed in would be there. I show up 5 minutes early for my appoinment today only to be told they weren't sure when the vet was showing up as he was at a dentist appointment. Would have been nice to at least get a phone call before i drove all the way there. My time is valuable too.

Pandemic changes necessitate owners masking up, meeting the vets outside to discuss appointment particulars & then waiting outside until exams are completed. Worked fine for my elder Aussie, but my younger adoptee Aussie was too terrified being w/o me, so that exam was a bust. Dr. Mike was great, as per usual & payment was quick & safe! Now both dogs are safely on their seasonal tick, flea, lice, etc.meds????

I want to thank Dr. Harvey and his Technician Erin who help us with an emergency two nights ago. Our dog ripped his torso apart on a chain link fence at Carmi Elementary School. Although it was after hours(8 pm), Erin was there in 20 minutes to start treating my dog's injuries. Dr. Harvey arrived soon later to perform surgery on our poor border collie Jack. Dr. Harvey did a beautiful job with the surgery. We suspect that scarring will be minimal and that all hair will grow over the 16 inch gash. I believe he is the best surgeon in town! The bill was HUGE but its a price I'm willing to pay to have my dog taken care of. If you have an emergency with your pet, Dr. Harvey is the guy to call. Thank you to everyone at the Penticton Veterinary Hospital!

Wonderful! Under new management and is very honest! Dr. Mike was very gentle with my brother's dog who was shaking at the beginning of appointment but relaxed by the end. He was very gentle with her and had patience in abundance! Thanks Dr. Mike. I am switching my dog here as I moved back to Penticton recently!

We have brought our dog Sadie here for many years now, the service has always been prompt and professional, there diagnosis of the issues has been spot on, and corrected by there care and advice ! It would be nice to have this same level of care for the human race here !

Friendly service and got in fairly quickly to get a quote teeth cleaning. Got good feedback, but was surprised after the exam there was a charge for this as was not told upon booking there would be a fee for this. I have no problem for fee for service, but tell me upfront. We were not charged at other vets for quotes. As well, after the 10 minute exam, was told they couldn't do procedure for months, but could make referral to a specialist in Kelowna. Why take an appointment for this if can't do the procedure for months? Went somewhere else for the work.

Dog passed away, and when I phoned in to inquire about cremation, the woman who answered was very rude. Told her my dog passed and her response was "ok". Unbelievable. I went through the phone call and got a quote for price of cremation, but not wanting to send my dad alone (I live out of town, I was doing this for him) into rude place for such a delicate and sad day. I phoned a local vet, Lindsey Vet, and they were not only 100% kinder, but it was actually cheaper as well! I can only hope they treat their animals with more care then their clients.
