I had an emergency with my 5 month old great Dane puppy while up in the area on vacation. The team at this clinic were kind, professional and very thorough. I can't thank them enough for taking such good care of my boy. I highly recommend this clinic!
They are amazing at this Vet. The best place to go in the area. The staff are excellent and go out of their way to accommodate you. The regular girls out front are amazing.
I could not attend the appointment with my dog, so have no opinion on the visit. Did not speak with the Vet. either!
Awesome can't wait to go again!
I came in with my shepherd after he had gotten into some trouble with a porcupine. We had pulled the visible quills out but the area began swelling and pushing over the next few days, and it appeared there was a few small ones we had missed. I brought him in to Parry Sound Animals Hospital and they advised me that the infection should resolve itself without antibiotics or any invasive procedures. Sure enough a few days later it did. Its always nice when a vet is brief, and honest with the animal and owners best interest in mind.
Turned away myself and my dog who was in pain because they didn't have the time to help.
I have had only good experiences when dealing with Parry Sound Animal Hospital. The staff and vets I have dealt with have all been very friendly, helpful and professional.
Nice clinic, friendly knowledgeable staff, Service was excellent. I had 3 puppies checked, dewormed(and second dose for 10 days later), nails, and vaccinated for the price of 1 pup in sudbury. Highly recommend, is now my new vet without question.
The fabulous staff here took our Boo on even though we are seasonally here. Thank you for all of your advice and care! Nicole and Jeremy
Great services and really helpful staff
Awesome communication and service, thank you for taking great care of our Bella.
Excellent, professional but a bit pricey
It’s an amazing animal hospital for parry sound
Got me in quick and fast
Wonderful staff. They really care about your pet and you.
Amazing and so much care thank you for caring for Wasabi
Worst. Veterinarians. EVER!
While on holidays this past week I brought my fur baby to the clinic with a concern about her teeth because she already has kidney disease. After doing some research online I learned that infections in the gums could possibly affect her kidneys. The clinic was able to accommodate seeing us the same day and Dr. Jones was nothing but professional and reassuring about her gingivitis and the care we should follow up doing with her. He spent a good half hour talking to me about our next steps over the next few weeks once we got back home. He apologized for keeping me waiting a few minutes while he had to deal with a more urgent matter and then after all that he didn't charge me a dime! Kudos to you Dr Jones for your friendly professionalism. We will recommend anyone up north to seek you out and should we need you again while on holidays up north we know where to go! Your attendant at the front desk was also very kind and lovely.
I think that all the vets are great but Dr.White is my favorite the vet tech's are amazing. My dogs loves all of them. They are my go to when my fur kids need help.
Very friendly staff, great service.
I've been taking my animals to these doctors for 15 years - both at this location and Port Carling. Things have changed a bit due to COVID-19 protocols (they seem to charge things differently) but I trust them implicitly with my babies! When we went through a loss due to aggressive cancer in one of our dogs, Dr. White was our hero and the staff were so good with us. Definitely recommend.
I took my little shih tzu Sicily in to have a lump on her mammary looked at. They strongly recommended I have it removed as it was high risk for cancer. They were able to book her the very next day for surgery and removed the tumor. They took great care of my little girl and treated her as she was their own. The doctor, nurse and staff were remarkable and kind. They answered my many questions, looked at her a couple times after the surgery with no charge. They gave me more medication for her as she was still in pain at no extra charge. I am very grateful to them for recommending the removal of this tumor as it did turn out to be cancerous. They saved her life and you can't put a price on that. I highly recommend this hospital to any pet owner that wants great care for their precious animals. Thanks again to all of you for the care you provided to Sicily. Sincerely Paul Heartfield.
We brought our dog in because we found a lump. We were told to bring him back in for an X-ray (which cost over $1,000). They brought us in to go over the results and gave us absolutely no new information other than “yes it’s a lump” and told us we should go get a cat scan, but they don’t do cat scans there. Well, why wouldn’t we have just done a cat scan in the first place? So now that put us a week behind in getting the cat scan and ultimately getting surgery to remove the lump which was growing very quickly. Because of its size, the surgery was very complicated and my dog did not recover from the surgery. If we hadn’t wasted a week of time getting a useless and expensive X-ray done here my dog may still be alive. They knew they couldn’t do anything to help him but they wanted to make some money off us before referring us elsewhere.
Everyone I have dealt with at the PS Animal Hospital has been amazing! You can trust that your pet is in caring and gentle hands.
While vacationing in the Parry Sound area, our German shepherd dog had a one-sided chat with a porcupine. Thankfully a family member was there to assist in removing all but two of the quills from my dogs muzzle and mouth. I was concerned about the two quills that we were unable to fully remove in the roof of his mouth, so early the next morning I drove my dog to the Parry Sound Animal Hospital and the kindly vet staff took a peak and offered to have a vet take a look. At that time she also reassured me that because this is something that the hospital sees quite often and because my dog was eating, drinking and playing, that I could wait it out and see if they become a problem. I opted on waiting-and-see, as the cost just to sedate him was in the $400 range and we were going to be in the area for another week and a half. She warned me that they could become infected and if I had ANY concerns or worries to bring him back in. I was surprised and impressed at the front desk staff taking the time to get all the details and dealing with my concerns. They alleviated my concerns and allowed the vet to deal with their more urgent cases. A smart way to run a business and I was impressed. My dog never did have a problem with the two remaining quills that we were able to remove all but the ends in the roof of his mouth. I'm not sure how we lucked out, but we did. So, her advice was sound.
Very friendly staff and Vets!
My favourite
Great staff first time taking my dog there for nails to be cut very good with all dogs
Vets and staff are terrific. Very knowledgeable, professional and, most importantly, caring.
All the staff genuinely care about your animals. Well worth the money for the level of care you get!
Everyone there is friendly, helpful and the Veterinarian's have great personalities and make my Charlie feel safe and loved. I highly recommend Parry Sound Animal Hospital for your pets!
Very friendly staff! My dog loves it there!!
Dr White was awful to deal with. I have a dog that’s basically palliative and he wanted to do liver function tests before he prescribed more pain meds. Not only that but my dog would be without pain meds for 8 days. Awful vet. Please avoid.
Our 12 year old pup had a dental cleaning, extraction and multiple skin tag removal. I was hesitant because our pup is also diabetic. Dr Lee was quite confident in treating her and gave us a reasonable estimate. Her confident, no nonsense approach gave me exactly what I needed to have the procedures done. Our pup came through with a secondary problem unexpectedly improving after the antibiotic treatment following the extraction. We are so pleased and grateful to have had Dr.Lee care for our pup. Thanks to the entire staff!
They are friendly and take the time to explain the problem and the options that can be taken. We have two dogs and this summer had to make three trips in. Each time we were given a quick appointment and all three times the treat worked.
Very thoughtful of me old cat. And her needs.
Here's the deal. If you are wondering where to take your pets for the best care possible, Parry Sound Animal Hospital is best in class! I have always liked their service but my 2 most recent larger interactions have galvanized my relationship with them and I am branded their customer for life. The first experience of the aforementioned two, is the support in the ending the suffering of our best friend Cash. A golden doodle, who, was the catalyst to a zillion positive changes in my families life. Dr. Kit Lee was on the floor with us as we wept. She delivered straight forward explanations about what was happening, professional, to the point, and with empathy. Dr. Lee's ability to combine comfort, support, and empathy, whilst being completely straight forward and candid is something I will always be thankful for. I am crying happy tear's right now, as I write this. The second experience is a very recent trauma with some garden equipment that our Portuguese Water Dog had to his front leg. It looked terrible but Max was demonstrating no change in behaviour, ability, or signs of slowing down, so we did not panic and waited until the following morning to engage the team at Parry Sound Animal hospital. Despite being fully booked, because their the best, we were advised to bring him in and they would fit him in somewhere. When I was dropping him off at the door, due to Covid, Dr. Jones was just arriving. He said he would look at the cut right away. Shortly after that, Dr. Jones called and advised the next steps. He advised due to where the injury was it would be very unlikely the stitches would hold and that recovery, although for sure, would take a long time. The wound would need to heal from the inside out. We kept the cone on, limited his movement as best we could (very hard for a PWD puppy), and gave him the full series of antibiotics. All but one of the stitches held and Max really didn't lose a beat. 14 day's later the cut was completely healed, dog was groomed, and jumping in the Lake. Thank you Dr. Jones for prioritizing my best buddies needs and providing skilled care and clear instructions. Oh Yeah, The office manager, Lynn, owns Max's sister! How cool is that.
The team here really helped with a dog emergency even though we were not clients. The techs and Dr Barker were thorough, kind and compassionate. I've since switched care of both my dogs to Parry Sound Animal Hospital. Highly recommend!!
After moving to Parry Sound last year, finding a good vet clinic was high on my list. After meeting one of the veterinarians, I decided that I would feel confident taking my pets to Parry Sound Animal Hospital. I was right. I've been several times now and each experience has been a pleasure. They've taken care of general vaccinations as well as diagnosed allergies and detected infections. They've taken care to give me options depending on what I feel comfortable with and have been respectful about concerns I've had. And they didn't bat an eye when my dog decided to mark his territory right at the front desk. :-) I would highly recommend this clinic for everyone who wants quality care for their pets.
Dogs don't like going here but it isn't needed service dr. White take care of my dogs
I became a client a year ago and I have paid hundreds of dollars for my dogs. They provide a free service for nail clippings but pick and choose when they want to charge you. I could not afford vaccinations and annual physical this month as I had some unexpected expenses and wanted to rebook a month later they now tell me I have not been a client long enough nor given them enough money so they will not offer this service and want to charge me $20.00 per dog. I emailed them and instead of getting quality customer service pr try to retain me as a client they offered to email me my pets history to GO ELSEWHERE! So I will do this and go to a better vet with better customer service and who care about their customers and their pets instead of Dollar signs. I do not recommend and I will be letting everyone I know not to go to Parry Sound Animal Hospital.
Covid-19 experience was well organized and solve our issue.
Always great. Dr Jones and the girls that work there are by far the best!!!! Mom and pups are doing great. Thank you
Wonderful
Kind caring and profesional. I am new to town and I wish I had found this clinic first. The clinic is clean and spacious allowing animals to have space from one another while in the waiting room (even though I never had to wait more then a minute for my appointment). I can't stress how clean the office is which was a welcome change from the first clinic we had been at in town. The level of care and love that they show to your pets is truly genuine.
Friendly, knowledgable, and great service
They're awesome!! Very happy with the service! Very kind. Helpful, and patient!
Very professional. They took all the necessary precautions for covid-19. I actually loved that I didn't need to come in with my dog. She is always so anxious and it bothers me to see her like that. I'm hoping she was a bit calmer without me there. I'm not sure cause I didn't ask ???? They were also very patient and polite with all my questions regarding my cat and pricing. Thanks!
The staff at Parry Sound Animal staff are very helpful and honest. I like tbe girls. They are very friendly and make you feel comfortable. Good vets !!
We called Parry Sound Animal Hospital after our dog had an emergency at the cottage. They agreed to see him right away despite not being a regular client of their clinic, and he was in and out of surgery within the hour. They were friendly, trustworthy and professional. We are so grateful for the staff at this clinic!
Wonderful clinic and staff! They have always been so caring to my dogs and to our whole family. Will always use parry sound animal hospital so long as we have pets
All the staff are helpful and polite. Dr. Kit Li is wonderful.
Parry Sound animal hospital is a great veterinarian clinic. With a very active dog, we find ourselves making visits fairly often and are always taken care of very well.
Professional..personalable experience
Not compassion. All about the money they dont care about the animal.
Our much loved pet became suddenly immobile and, despite their busy schedule, this clinic was the only one in the area who agreed to immediately assess his condition . They were compassionate, kind, and caring when they broke the news that he would not recover due to his heart condition. We will be forever grateful for helping us with such a heartbreaking decision.
Most amazing veterinarians in the world saved my best friend
My puppy fell down the stairs at my cottage and fractured her leg in two places. I had a beyond phenomenal experience with this veterinary hospital right from the start. The receptionist on the phone was very friendly and made me feel at ease despite having to explain my situation. Dr. Jones knew right away that it was a serious injury and had her x-rayed immediately. He searched for an orthopaedic surgeon and made all the calls around southern Ontario to find whichever one could get her in the fastest. He was so thorough in explaining every single aspect of the injury and why it needed to be surgically fixed. He was compassionate, approachable, and friendly with my young niece. Dr. Jones even called to personally follow up the next week and gave me an in depth explanation regarding the UTI symptoms that emerged post surgery. I will be making the 3 hour drive to have Maisy seen by him again to rule out kidney problems because I trust no one more than Dr. Jones to nail the problem and make sure it is fixed.
Im up to $3000 for a dogs skin rash....they keep charging over and over again .. Im mad at myself for coming here three times and expecting a different result each time.. In short all they care about is money..money and all your money
A bit on the pricey side but friendly staff and Dr Lee very good. Dr White the owner could use a lot more compassion when dealing g with patients and their families. I try to avoid having any contact with him.
They were very nice with you at ambulatory care and admitting
I would recommend this vet clinic to anyone. We were up at the cottage and had a pressing issue with one of our pups. The staff were so helpful and got us in to see a vet within a couple of hours. The vet was gentle and patient, our pup is a bit anxious and he made the experience very pleasant. If I could give them more stars I would :) Thank you so much Parry Sound Vet Hospital!
Dr. Was great. Social distancing was ineffect. Return calls were done. I feel they cared for my cat to the best of ability. I will continue to use this office.
I have brought all my dogs and cats to Kit Lee for the course of their lives and she has been excellent in her diagnosis and care of them all.
They're more into it for the money vs helping animals. Typical business.
