These folks are great. I've been going there for a few years now, all of the staff has been very friendly and they really do give a damn about your pet. The two vets that I have seen there were excellent. They followed up with me personally via phone and email. My dog will not eat kibble, we were able to discuss options and I suggested making my own food for the pooch. They were able to recommend a cookbook and proper supplements to keep my dog healthy and happy.

On Monday, I had to make the incredibly difficult decision to have my cat put to sleep. I brought her to this clinic, where I've been a client before, despite the price gouging myself and other clients have experienced. After a lengthy wait, a vet came to assess her - the assessment lasted under two minutes, and I was charged over sixty dollars for it. The vet agreed with me that it was time to put my pet to sleep. The injection did not take, and the vet grabbed my cat and took her into another room. It was incredibly confusing and worrying. She informed me several minutes later they would have to administer a lethal injection to her heart, which I reluctantly agreed to. I was not allowed to be there when they did it, despite previously being assured by the vet that I could be there in the final moments of my pet's life. The vet assured me she would call me later that day to let me know how the process went. I have yet to receive that call. The ordeal cost me over $300 and I received no news. They managed to make a devastating process even more painful and awful. I will not be taking future pets to this clinic. And they should be ashamed for providing such poor and heartless service when both animals and people are in suffering.

I brought my new cat in for his first checkup last Saturday and it was one of the smoothest, most pleasant experiences I've had in recent memory. The vet, vet tech and really all of the Centretown Veterinary Hospital's staff were warm and incredibly professional. The vet seemed genuinely concerned with asking as many questions as possible to determine what is best for the health of my cat. I really can't say enough good things about this business.

I visited on Tuesday for my 11yrs old ShiTzu dog, Meika. We met with Dr. MacDonald. He gave Meika a check, he was gentle with her and she seemed to like him. I was very impressed with the time he took to explain to me Meika’s condition and what my options were. He even drew a simple picture / diagram. I was very impressed that he did not rush me and was patient with me and all my questions. I have already told my family and friends how please I was. Everyone is extremely nice and capable, but the price was almost double what they had originally quoted us. Apparently they forgot to include the $67 vet fee on our estimate, which is the fee just for having a vet enter the room and pick up the animal. This was on top of the actual treatment they gave our kitten, which was much more affordable ($25 for vaccinations). We have gone twice now and each time have paid nearly double the original quote. Don't appreciate that they were misleading about their prices nor how expensive it is just to get a basic kitten treatment!

This is by far the best animal hospital we have been at. We switched from Gatineau to this one and my boyfriend has even switched taking his cats and has come here instead. The girls are very knowledgeable and friendly. They do not push you to get extras and if you need an added expense but not on that day they will let you know that maybe the next couple of visits it should happen. They have given me pretty much a year notice that my cat will need a teeth cleaning which runs at approximately 900, so I could start saving now. I can't say enough good things about this place! They also have a parking lot that can fit 4-5 cars.

Amazing Vet clinic! They are thorough and caring, they have treated my adult cat and a kitten very efficiently and you can tell they care about what's going on. I'm really glad I found this vet clinic on moving to ottawa, i wouldn't take my cats anywhere else. The prices are competitive - in response to other reviews i've seen about prices being "misleading" the prices are very fair. You need to pay for the vet's time - they are a professional! I find the prices VERY good - and i would pay more for such good service!

Unfortunately due to covid and the # of additional pets looking for care, I had a hard time getting my dog seen for allergies and GI issues. He was licking his paws raw and was going to be taken to the emergency vet in the next day or two. I think her name is Alison? Took my call, was very understanding of the situation and in less than 24 hours I got my dog seen due to a cancellation. Dr. Cooper saw my dog, did not rush considering how busy clinics are right now, and took the time to explain everything to me. 5/5 service and care. Thanks again!

I had two encounters with Centretown Vet that ultimately made me switch my two (now three) cats to another hospital. In Oct 2017, I took my two cats Zita and Terry for their annual checkups after moving to Ottawa. My 11:30am appointment was pushed for 2.5 hrs because one of the vets had an emergency. I didn't have a car and couldn't afford to take them back home and come back again, so I waited there until they were finally able to see my cats. Zita, my senior cat, was understandably upset at having to wait so long and wasn't on her best behaviour. She has had some health issues in the past and was a regular patient at a different hospital, so this was really out of character for her. The vet convinced me to purchase anti-anxiety medication for her future visits, which, in hindsight, made me feel quite uncomfortable. I understand vets sometimes push unnecessary medication or procedures, but this just felt inappropriate given the circumstances. Last month, during the hurricane blackout, my cat Terry vomited three times in one day, and with his history of swallowing hair and string, I didn't want to take any chances and called Centretown to make an appointment as soon as they reopened on Monday (Sept 24). My first phone call was at 8am and the woman on the phone told me they needed to reschedule their Saturday patients due to the hurricane first, but that she will call me back at 10am with any leftover spots. She never called back, and at 10:30am, I called and was told that they only offered me spots late in the week and are still reserving their appointments on Monday for their Saturday patients. I called my third cat's vet and they immediately scheduled me for a same-day appointment at 6pm. I've decided to transfer all three of my cats to that clinic instead. Even though Terry was okay in the end, at the time I made the phone call to Centretown, he was acting less active than usual and had just pooped a stool with a hair attached, which we had to snip off. I was very concerned at the time, and was upset that Centretown would brush me off like this.

I've been taking my cat to this animal hospital for just over 3 years now (I've had my cat for 10 years), and it's by far the best hospital I've been to in Ottawa. The staff are what makes this place so wonderful. They genuinely care about every animal that comes through the doors. Dr. Miriam Boileau has been my cat's vet and she is a wonderful person and extremely thorough in her decision making regarding tests/exams etc. I have received several follow-up phone calls from the staff, just to check in and see how my cat is doing, which in my opinion is going above and beyond what a hospital is required to do. Yes, the prices can be expensive, but you pay for the good quality service that you receive at this hopsital - and as a responsible pet owner, you should be considering pet insurance to assist with those expenses, anyways. This place is fantastic! The staff here are very prompt and responsive to email queries. Appointments for your furry friend(s) and advance orders for food is easy and efficient. The front lobby is very spacious, conducive to you and your furry buddy to relax and wait for your appointment. There's a small assortment of toys and treats for sale as well. You can also sign up to their affiliate website for food subscriptions, etc. They also have resident kitties that live and free roam around the hospital ????

We showed up on a pretty rainy day, and staff actually brought out a towel so I could dry off my little dog who was shivering. The vet was amazing, and welcoming. My dog was a little nervous, so the vet brought her around to meet everyone before getting started. It was really heartwarming, and I had the best experience. I'll keep going back. Thanks!

I am very disappointed with CVH - I have been going there for years with both my cats. Once our regular vet left (Myriam) I started noticing small things - more expensive, long wait times, new vet at every visit.... at this last visit, the vet came out saying that she will be looking after us - when I asked why we wouldn't be dealing with our regular vet, she didn't say why - just that she is the vet on weekends and evenings. She treated one of my cats as if it was a violent beast - all my cat did was hiss a little - her nails were trimmed and we gave her the sedative that CVH prescribed! She walked around my cat and was scared to examine her, as if she would injure her? My cat has never done that - she is petrified when she goes to the vet and simply does not move! The vet then proceeded to check my cat's joints??? I have never seen that before - but then realized it was to push more medications $$$$. It continued with more money grabs - dental and the rabies vaccine.... which I said was no longer needed (as recommended by another vet at CVH because of her age and that she is only indoors) and she started to say - well, I don't know who told you that - but that's not our policy - and it has changed! Then she proceeded to say the following ...the technician will not see the cat, and we would get a fine if she bit someone, the cat would be quarantined for 45 days and then she said - and I'm not embellishing here - the only way to check and see if your cat has rabies is to cut her head off?!?!?!?! I was speechless.... who talks like that to a pet owner/lover??? We proceeded with the vaccine b/c they gave us no choice - and did not advise us of this new policy. And, usually after they give a vaccine (in the past) they would call to see how my cat was doing - she is after all a geriatric cat that may have issues with these vaccines - they didn't even call! When I shared this story with one of my friends - they had a similar experience at CVH - saying that when they brought their dog in for his excessive scratching, they were asked if the dog had been dragged behind a vehicle???? Needless to say, I am taking our cats and never coming back to CVH. Disgusted and disappointed.

Just to add comments to my review ... so glad to have an independently owned and operated Vet clinic to attend in Ottawa ... the Doctors and techs and counter folks are all very friendly and professional ... There are negative reviews here that state the clinic has gone downhill since it was sold to a large corporation. False information ... Centretown is locally owned and operated ... has not been sold ... is getting better all the time in my opinion To the naysayers spreading falsehoods ... not cool ... support local and be truthful ... you will sleep better.

Hubby and I have been brining our kitties to Centretown Vet since 2008, and we positively adore them. Over the years we've dealt with every single member of their team: they go above and beyond to make us feel welcome, informed, and put our nervous kitties at ease. Years ago when one of our cats passed away at a young age, our vet cried with us and even sent a handwritten card and flowers. We were so touched. Our current kitties are now senior citizens and Centretown is helping us keep them healthy, happy, and comfortable in their golden years. Proposed treatments and pricing are always transparent and well explained, and never feel excessive. Our appointments never feel rushed, and even now that we can't go inside, the vets and vet techs call us to discuss everything in impressive detail and answer our questions. I want to give an extra special shout-out to Brenna, the vet tech who runs Centretown's nutrition program. I honestly get more time with her than I do with my family doctor! Brenna checks in with us weekly to help manage one kitty's weight and the other's joint pain and early kidney issues, and provides us with detailed guidance and notes. And she does all this for free! I'm completely blown away by the level of service and care she provides. Thank you Brenna!

No answer. At 205 they saunter back from where they were. I waited outside the entire time but several others left.

Staff are awesome here. I recently adopted two kittens, one ended up being very ill (upper respiratory almost constantly). They seemed to genuinely care and wanted to help. Dealing with sick animals regularly can be hard for both the owners of the animals and the staff - I appreciate clinics like this being around, even if it's a bit far from where I live!

I started going to Centretown Vet when I adopted my cat from the Humane Society 4 years ago. They have been wonderful in every way. I now bring my 9 month old cockapoo there as well. I feel like the Vets and supporting staff there really care about the animals, as well as people. They are taking Covid regulations very seriously, so for all my appointments lately I speak with the vet over the phone. It has not changed the service whatsoever. My dog has major separation anxiety and the vet gave me the best advise she had but ultimately said we can refer you to a Veterinary Behaviourist as well, which I opted for. So now with a mix or training and medication my dog is improving with her anxiety. Another example of excellent service during the pandemic was her spay. They provide pain medication before hand to relax the animals. They called me when her spay was complete to tell me how she was doing, and explained how she's the happiest dog they've ever seen - wagging her tail while they are talking even though she's too sleepy to open her eyes. The surgery was also done very well I assume because she healed extremely quickly and seamlessly, even though I couldn't manage to keep her calm at all - the sedatives I was giving her to stay calmer during the healing process were no match for this energetic pup. They took into consideration her anxiety when discussing the surgical onesie vs. cone, saying they recommended the onesie. It's the thoughtfulness like that that I really appreciate. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a vet clinic in Ottawa.

The first time I was here, we got a great vet and were happy with the services we received.. Sadly, the second time was absolutely horrible! (So much so that we won't be going back here and would actually recommend against them if you have a puppy or kitten and need the initial vaccinations- elsewhere will charge you far less & still be happy for your business.) They gave us a totally different vet the second time and as I've never had to ask to get the same vet again from a place, I didn't even think to-- the second vet we got seemed more interested in billing as much as possible. The other beyond strange bit it how ridiculously expensive they are.. If you have a new puppy or kitten, I would highly suggest going elsewhere as they're the only place I've been to who actually charge an exam fee every visit, even when you're just going in for the rest of your pet's booster shots. ($70-$100 a month ON TOP of shots and deworming medications once a month for 4 months? Others only charge the shots after the initial exam, as they're already marked up.) On the bill they put that we got a "good clients discount".. I was absolutely disgusted as people don't get this ripped off elsewhere, let alone have people claim their overcharging has actually been discounted. This is the only place I've been to that does that kind of overcharging to new pet owners.. but at least now I know why it's so easy to get a last minute/next day appointment here.

Today was our first visit at this clinic. I can honestly say I've never experienced better service at any other ventrinary clinic in Ottawa. We were booked in for a rabies update. The technician called us (covid safety) once we dropped our dog Dex off for his appointment. The person I spoke to on the phone was very informative, reassuring and knowledgeable. She took her time explaining things to me & answering any questions I had. We have another appointment in a few weeks & I'm so relieved we have finally found a clinic that really cares about their clients. Dex went in happy (a little nervous) & came out even happier. I've been taking my cat, Walter, to this vet this since late 2012. My cat was sick with an upper respiratory infection and my other vet couldn't fit him in until the next day, I called this place up, and they said they could fit him in an hour. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it in myself due to an emergency at work. My mom brought him in to the vet, and after the examination, the vet Dr. Sime, called me at work and explained what was wrong with him, and what I needed to do in terms of medication. Since then, Walter's been diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease, and the staff and Dr. Sime have been wonderful and answered all my numerous questions. Dr. Sime even spent a lot of time researching what food is appropriate for him, giving his history of urinary crystals, allergies and now kidney problems. I highly recommend this vet to anyone.

Used to bring my cat here but no more. They suck.. Always running late for appointments. Last straw was having a 7:30 appointment and by 8:15 still not called in. Staff didn't even apologize, acted like I was being rude for daring to wonder why its 45 minutes late.. So I just walked out and now I'm going to find a new vet

i took my rescue here and got completely hosed on tests and exams when my own instincts told me he was fine, almost $800. Somehow he only gave my dog the 1-year rabies vaccine when the 3-year was available, so I had to go back after a year and pay for the 3-year rabies vaccine. Total ripoff we've been back a few times and im confused as to why we always see a different vet. i have to tell my dogs story over and over. i dont even recognize the staff listed on their website. As a pet owner I would like to work with one vet consistently so I can get to know them and they can get to know my dog. Instead of just getting whoever's on shift and guessing it was wrong with my Pet. too much going on here. no personal service.

They offer a fast service but every time I come I feel as if I'm over charged and they have made mistakes with 2 of my dogs now. They miss calculated by a lot how much food I should give my puppy which caused me to underfeed her for 3 days and high calorie consumption is essential for puppies. Would not recommend them to be honest.

I’m thoroughly impressed with Centretown vet, they are responsive, compassionate and give you thorough explanations for their recommendations. The vets also respond by email with all the details from tests and treatment plans made. Yes, they are super busy but as is all the vets right now in Ottawa. They were able to book us within 48 hours for ‘emergency apt’ and provided us with guidance over the phone on next steps, sign and symptoms to look for and a plan going forward. Unfortunately, we needed to put our dog to sleep & despite it occurring at the emergency vet, we received flowers and a card which was unexpected and lovely. Highly recommend ❤️

Worst place to take your pets ever! Staff wants to argue about facts out of ignorance, they don't know a thing about what herbs or foods your pets can or can't eat! But pretend to be authoritative over your life in complete arrogance! If you care about your pets do not take them to these careless people who argue the facts.

This place is worse than a Doctor's office. You will wait and wait and wait, then Dr BLACK comes in all rushed and no apology given. The front desk clerk EVE is the rudest pitbull and for the life of me I cannot understand why she is the first line in the clinic. The "office manager" is as sympathetic as the rock in my front yard. However, saying that, I absolutely loved Dr Tamara Richards and Nancy at the front desk (hence the reason for a two star) It is a shame I have to take my dog elsewhere because of their unprofessional attitutes and rudeness.

My cat injured his paw. I had to bring him in to see the vet really awesome people front desk people were amazing professional fast and the veterinarian was able to explain things awesomely. She really knows how to talk to people. I get what she was saying but wow amazing job. And it wasn't overly crazy expensive cough cough cough Beechwood Animal Hospital LOL. definitely bring your pet to this location and all jokes aside even the Beechwood animal hospital that is a great hospital as well for are furry loved ones.

Unfortunately we had to switch vets for our 3 cats for a few simple reasons: 1. Inconsistency in the messages we received about care for our 2 week old rescue. Different messages in regards to treatments for worms and unnecessary tests being done just to collect more money. 2. Their prices are exuberant in comparison to other vets. They claim this is due to the "high quality" of care our pets receive... it isn't any different than other vet clinics. For this prices I'd expect a red carpet rolled out and towel service for my kitties. 3. Dishonesty. The vet techs attempt to blindly sell you on a test or treatments because they've been recently told to up sell every customer now that they belong to a major chain of vet clinics (a corporation). When confronted, the vet just makes excuses for the vet techs using a script to screw over the client. We have switched clinics to a smaller, privately owned and now receive exceptional services that are transparent and honest. The price is way better too!

The vet I dealt with was very caring, don't get me wrong. The 2 stars come from the outrageous pricing they have. I find this particular vet to be very over-priced, especially when it comes to puppies and kittens. If you do your homework and shop around to other vet's you'll find one that gives just as quality service for far less. It turns out I was way over charged for all my puppy's vaccinations as well as they tried to overcharge me for her spay. I would never allow another vet to do the surgery if they were not reputable but trying to charge me over $200 MORE then any other vet would seems ridiculous! Shop around, go to meet and greets with other vets. But if your willing to pay more for the same quality service then this vet is right for you.

Not only they provide great services, from the warm welcome at the front desk to the examination from the technicians and the veterinarian; but their fees are really reasonable and they will not hesitate to tell you when services/procedures are not necessary and they will even send you a follow-up e-mail after each visit to make sure your pet is responding to the treatment and is getting better! If you are looking for a team that will genuinely provide the best care and who is not after your wallet, Centretown Veterinary Hospital is what you need!

The staff went above and beyond for my dog when I brought him in to get neutered. He was very nervous after a bad experience elsewhere and they took their time with him, even when it took 30 minutes for him to get from the drop off room to the examination room. They called multiple times with updates which I really appreciated. Very, very happy with every experience I've had with Centretown. 100% recommend this vet and it will be the only place I take my dog from now on.

My dog Brady had been with Centretown vet since 2017 when we first adopted him. I was very fortunate to have Dr. Finsten as his vet since she joined the practice. Brady had a lot of health issues, including separation anxiety, food allergies, gut issues, dental issues, and worst of all he had lyme disease, so kidney disease was a risk. Unfortunately that became a reality but fortunately we received amazing care from Dr. Finsten and amazing customer service from all of the vet techs and receptionists. I can't thank you enough for all of the patience, advice, and quality of care that you provided Brady, especially towards the end. I know he was a much loved visitor of the clinic (too often!) and really appreciate all of your compassion and professionalism throughout his life and especially his treatment. I would really recommend Dr. Finsten and Centretown Vet to anyone who is looking for good quality care for their pets.

I can't say enough good things about Centretown Veterinary Hospital. My boyfriend and I brought our cat here because he is getting older and experiencing a few issues. Because of his advanced age, we were nervous to take him out of the house and expose him to any potential stress an exam and tests might bring. They helped put us at ease from the first phone call because they are so friendly and kind and answered all of our questions. On the day of the visit, they took him in right away and Dr. Wong examined him. She was caring and professional, taking the time to explain everything thoroughly. Our cat needed a few tests done and they took really good care of him, plus we got results back very quickly. The entire team here is amazing. They seem to truly care and want to do the best job for you. I am so glad to have brought my cat here and would recommend anyone who needs a vet to look no further.

I absolutely love CVH. I started taking my dog Joey there during Covid-19, so I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting staff in person. However, over the phone and over email, the staff has been so sweet, compassionate and an absolute pleasure to deal with. A special shout-out to our vet Dr. Wong who is incredibly kind and thorough in her examinations. Despite their busy schedule during the pandemic, they always do their best to accommodate us. CVH truly cares about their patients and is priced extremely reasonably as well. 10/10 would recommend! ❤️

I highly recommend centretown vet. As with all vets in the centretown area, the prices are a little higher, but I feel that the level of care here more than justifies the cost. Getting in contact for follow ups has been easy, I have been able to get appointments on short notice that still fit my schedule without issue, and everything has moved much faster here as well. One thing I really appreciate is how Dr. Wong takes time to go into great detail about my pets health and the thought process behind her recommended course of treatment - really understanding the "why" behind lola's care has been great for my peace of mind.

Absolutely love this place. I went here originally years ago because it was the closest vet to my apartment, however now I drive across the city because I trust them so much. During normal times the front desk staff are so friendly and welcoming and they welcome my cat by name which is really nice. The vets are gentle and very knowledgeable. My cat has had a few operations there and they have all gone smoothly and I felt very safe leaving him in their care. Now during COVID they have very strict and safe precautions in place. We have completely contactless pickup for medications which is fantastic

I'm not one to post negative reviews, however, I am frustrated with the inadequate level of organization at this clinic. The staff is very pleasant and kind, but there is a lack of communication between them which has caused two of my appointments to date to be either missing from their system entirely or their database time was different than the information e-mailed to me when confirming the appointment. Also, there are sudden additional costs for every single thing possible. I was told to bring in a fresh fecal sample from my pet for their first/new patient exam which I brought, but when I came in for my appointment it was nearly over until I remembered to mention it and then I was told that is would be $50.00 for a fecal examination...if reception would have been honest about this with me over the phone, I would not have carried poop with me all morning. Ultimately, I do not recommend this clinic for those reasons.

I'll preface this by saying we haven't had issues in the PAST with Centretown but this previous experience was very disrespectful and I am extremely disappointed with how we were treated. I will also mention our dog has high anxiety and is terrified of going to the vet because she had bad experiences as a rescue. We had an appointment scheduled a month ago and due to their COVID protocols, our dog had a bit of a panic attack and could not be examined despite medicating her. The current COVID set up they have was very stressful for her unfortunately (having to leave her in an isolated room on the side of the building). The vet suggested we come back on a different day, so we could go into the examination room (which happens to be today). They were very nice at the time and we agreed. With COVID cases going up again in Ottawa we decided it was best to call ahead, so we called YESTERDAY to make sure we could still join her during her examination. They told us it was fine as long as we wore a mask and gloves, no problem. The vet also told us to administer drugs the night before, as well as a few hours before the appointment, so we gave her some medication last night before bed. Today, 3 hours before our scheduled appointment, they call us to let us know they have changed their minds and don't want us coming into the exam room any more. Now, knowing that COVID cases are rising, this is completely understandable - what's not understandable is letting us know 3 hours in advance when we called yesterday. This is EXTREMELY disrespectful of our time and now our poor dog is drugged out of her mind for absolutely no reason. They left the option available for us to bring her and leave her again but what would be the point as this did not work previously? Which was the whole point of us having to wait a whole other month to bring her in again - so we could accompany her (at the vet's recommendation)! The individual I spoke with over the phone was also very rude and the least bit understanding. Her attitude was very curt and not sympathetic to the situation. She said the most they could do was refer us to a behaviourist if our dog was misbehaving but I still need to take her in for an appointment! Also not everyone can afford a behaviourist so this comment felt extremely backhanded to me. Suffice to say we will not be returning ever again in the future.

I have had a great experience bringing my cat here. My cat (and me!) were treated kindly through the whole visit, from reception to the RVT to the vet, and their care was gentle, knowledgeable, and never felt rushed. I was able to have all my questions answered and even though my cat hates leaving the house she was able to relax and enjoy some treats! I will not hesitate to continue to use Centretown vet for my cat's care.

Very conscientious. Animal patients are handed off through an airlock and the vet discusses the pet's situation over the phone. Purchases of meds and food are placed on a table outside the front door where the pet owner can pick up the purchases.

This is truly the best vet clinic I have ever had. I have friends who have used them for years and recommended them to me. All the staff are very empathetic and really go out of their way to help you from reception to vet care. I found the vets at the clinic to be non-judgemental and supportive of the decisions you think are best for your pet. I felt like they considered everything when making recommendations (quality of life, finances etc.). The treatment suggestions were always reasonable and never felt pushed into anything. All of the vets are great and go above and beyond, especially in tough circumstances. I had a very ill pet and all the vets I dealt with called me regularly to check up, most notably Dr. MacDonald. Worst experience at a vets office ever! Vet had no bedside manner, stressed my cat out to the point of him collapsing, then asked “does he do this at home?” WTH? She was really freaked out, then went on to explain that if cats get too stressed they can pass out and die. Meanwhile they tried to get blood from him for 10 min while he yeowled and growled. He was a 17 year old cat who was having health issues. This was our favorite office years ago, but I’ve been informed that it was sold. My cat died within a week of this visit. I knew he didn’t have much time, but I’m sure this event sped up his illness. Soon after this experience, I got a recommendation to the Algonquin animal hospital. They were amazing to say the least. I would highly recommend you avoid the Centretown Veterinary clinic.

My kitty went in there for a regular check up and left with high anxiety. She got even worse as the visit progressed and they did not handle it well (I even had an anxiety attack!) My cat has seen a few vets in her day(she's 8 years old) and has never been so terrified. My heart broke for her. I was so glad to leave. I have never seen a vet or vet techs treat a scared animal so poorly. We are new to Ottawa and will not be returning to this place.

This week I had to say goodbye to my cat after a wonderful 18 years together. The compassion and care showed by the whole team made the whole situation as bearable as possible. The vet was supportive of my decision to choose human euthanasia as my cat no longer had quality of life. She made sure that I understood that my choice was the last gift I could give my cat, to end his pain. The vet made sure the process was clearly explained and let me control when each step was taken. There was no rush, the vet let me come to her when I was ready. I do not believe I could have asked for a more peaceful passing. The day after, I arrived home to a bouquet of flowers and a condolence card from the whole team. I know when I am ready to welcome a new cat into my life, I will be taking them to this clinic for all check-ups and medical needs.
