We had our first visit with Dr. Arthur today and were blown away! He was incredibly understanding and kind with our nervous cat, Luna, and was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with us humans too! This really felt like a safe space where pets and owners are treated with the utmost respect and kindness. They let you know all your options and are not pushy in anyway which really makes for a more comfortable vet trip. We also got Luna's nails trimmed and again, the vet tech Kassandra was very sweet and gentle with her. Nails were done in no time! Thanks for the great experience! :)

They are excellent at explaining any home care going forward, and fantastic at following up to make sure everyone is settling in well post-care. The care my pets have received here has been prompt, realistic and professional; no one jumps to do unnecessary exploratory surgeries or to sell you on things your pet doesn't actually need. I highly recommend bringing your pet here if you're in search of a (new) vet for your pet's health needs. They genuinely have your pet's best interests at heart.

My dog had severe periodontal disease. Another vet had quoted $3000+ to investigate and remove teeth if necessary. A friend recommended Billings Bridge Animal Hospital. Not only were the doctors conscientious, caring and informative, the cost was $1200 even though they had to remove all his teeth. I now have my happy healthy dog back - and his breath no longer knocks you over from ten feet away!

Wish I could them give lower! Me and my wife had been going here for a while, thanks god my wife got a job at Pretoria Pets. So we adopted this new dog and noticed a few odd things that we were concerned about; 1) he peed in his sleep: was told it's normal for males to do it. Told them I've had many males and never did this happen. Was told it was maybe physiological and nothing serious. Pretoria: did the urine testing we asked and discovered he had crystals in his urine! 2) panting heavy and heart: wrote it off as nothing serious . . . Pretoria: after a heart ultra sound we discovered he has a 4/6 heart murmur and a faulty heart valve! He will need meds to make sure it doesn't worsen! It even told us his age which we though he was 7 he's 10! I had no problem spending money to help my rescue! We now realize how little they did for all our pets. This was the worst case of all! NEVER AGAIN WILL I COME HERE! Ps Him panting was not nothing! He had pain in his mouth due to teeth now he's getting 16 teeth removed!

I have a dog who has extreme anxiety and is very dog aggressive, the staff at Billings Animal Hospital were more than accommodating for us and were so kind and helpful. We went to see Dr. William MacDonald and had our other dog with us as well to keep my anxious girl a little more calm and he was great taking the time to say hi to both of them, giving them all the pets treats and love. He was great with talking to me about options for her anxiety in regards to medication, things to consider, etc. I am so thankful I decided to switch my vet to come here, my dogs both left so happy and so thankful(even after her shots!!) and so did I!

Having worked in veterinary care, there are certain things I look for when in search of professionals to treat my own pets, and I've been very fortunate to find everything I value here, at Billings Bridge Animal Hospital. We had previously seen & really liked Dr. Arthur, who'd cared for our late dog, but since his retirement have had our cats in with Dr. Hopwood, and Dr. Ha, both of whom have been wonderfully helpful and kind. They've taken the time to explain their findings and recommendations, never rushing or making us feel pressured, in any way. Appointments have always been easy to get, including those we've needed at short notice, and we find all of the staff very pleasant, too. Thank you, Billings Bridge Animal Hospital!!

My dog has been a patient of Dr. Hopwood's since she was 2 months old. She loves him and the whole staff, she is always happy to go in, no matter what poking or prodding has to be done. I had to take her in today for an emergency GI issue and, not only could they help, but, as usual Dr. Hopwood took the time to explain to me exactly what they checked (and showed me the x-rays) and why and what meds she would need, why, and how I was to administer them. Dr Hopwood and the whole staff always treat Xena like royalty, but I imagine they treat all their animals this way. Oh, and they knew how to calm a frantic pet owner too. I am so grateful for the BBAH, I recommend them to all me neighbours and friends looking for a vet.

When I told them of my cat having chicken allergies they told me my cat did not present in the way an allergic cat would. Never mind all of her symptoms - yeast in her ears, skin reactions, diarrhea. Another vet confirmed she did in fact have chicken allergies. Not sensitive to owner's financial limitations. Expected me to pay thousands of dollars for testing which was purely diagnostic (for heart murmur) where there is no cure besides management. I am a student, this is a cat I rescued from living outside in the winter, I have already paid for her spay, vaccines, special food etc. Cannot afford additional thousands of dollars for testing, they were unsympathetic and repeatedly called to get me to book.

I have never felt pressured, it’s the opposite - they provide what’s needed. If you want a really good vet whom is good and personable this is the place for your pet ♥️

I took my cat here initially because of how close it was to home (and the great reviews), then left town for a few years. When I came back to town, I came straight back to BBAH. Initially we dealt with Dr MacDonald and now we are with Dr Arthur. I thoroughly recommend both, and I am sure the other vets at BBAH are just as great. Overall the doctors have been honest, caring, fantastic with my cats (even the petrified one), and they take the time to explain everything. Shoutout as well to the front staff and the vet techs. All just a pleasure to deal with in person and every time I call. Plus good hours and some weekend and evening options. Not a single complaint about BBAH, thanks for running such a fantastic animal hospital.

I had my cats spay done at bilings bridge animal hospital yesterday and they truly were the most professional veterinarian staff I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They were informative, very upfront about costs, addresses all our concerns and took excellent care of my cat. They called me not once, but twice to give me updates on her condition and made me feel like they genuinely cared for my pet. Not only were they one of the cheaper locations for a spay but we're by far the easiest to deal with. Would recommend !!!

My girl friend and I have brought 3 cats here over the years. One timid, One super friendly and one murder all humans. Each time they have had good interactions with the vet. Shots and nuder. The vets are friendly and caring. Each of the cats had no problems and the aftercare was great too.

Only vet that doesnt want to rip me off to get my dog neutered. Haven't had my appointment yet. UPDATE: I take that back. They said around 350 on the phone, turned up to he $600. Not happy.

Totally Blown away with degree of excellent service I received from this animal hospital Especially Dr. McDonald. THANK YOU!! Again. It was Christmas Eve 2015. I was looking at the possibility of having my best friend in the world (my cat Thomas) put to sleep because he might have cancer. I was beside myself with grief. Dr. McDonald took it upon himself to go that extra distance by taking time out of his day off (ON CHRISTMAS EVE EVEN) to deal with me and Thomas explaining everything in detail and making it so I would not be shuffled from one doctor to another while trying to deal with this all. This Vet is truly full the the real meaning of Christmas Spirit. I can not thank him enough and so far Thomas is still alive and doing better! ------- It is now February 19 2016 and although there was never a definite diagnosis of Thomas's illness. Doc McDonald relied on his knowledge and experience and Thomas is now off his medication and is doing fine for his old self. Thank you again doc!

This review is strictly regarding their grooming services. Do not take your cat there to be groomed....terrible grooming. I was quoted one price only to show up on the day and be given a totally different price that was $100 more. The vet my cat saw prior to this grooming recommended that my cat be sedated while she was groomed..... very bad idea and I wish I had not listened to her...but given that you would think that the grooming would so perfect as the cat was knocked out.....not the case. The grooming was horrendous , uneven around the head and you could see the lines from the clippers. When I mentioned to the girl on the desk that the amount I was paying was crazy as I was quoted a lower price she had the audacity to tell me I could always go elsewhere..... WHAT....I paid almost $300 for my cat to be groomed and it was 100% not worth the money spent.....save your money and call Purdy paws mobile service and not this vets grooming services .....horrendous .

We went there a few years ago to have our dog euthanized. It is a hard thing to do. They made us wait for over one hour! I believe that a dog knows what awaits it and that the vet (a man) was extremely cruel. As i walked out I told them that I would never be back. We had and still have another dog and we have been going on Beechwood Street. The staff is very caring.

This place is great and the staff are amazing. Our timid cat hates car rides and had come into her appointment covered in pee and Dr. Hopwood helped me clean her up/calm her down before the examination.He was very gentle and kind to our little one and was able to diagnose her right away. He also had no problem answering any questions I had. This is my second visit to this vet clinic and you can tell they take pride in their work and care for their patients. 10/10 would reccomend to all.

I can't recommend this hospital enough. They took their time to examine my Schnoodle and answer any questions we had. We saw Dr. MacDonald an he was so very helpful. We were concerned about his teeth and instead of pushing an expensive dental cleaning on us he suggested that we try an enzymatic toothpaste and dental food first since he didn't have much build-up. Their prices were extremely reasonable, the office was spotless and you can tell that they really care about the animals and educating the owners. I'm so happy I found this practice.

So my 2 boxers have crazy allergies. I missed 2 annual appts so one of the Veterinarians decided to not fill my dogs allergy prescriptions of Apoquil. Now for dog owners seeing their pups suffer from allergies is disheartening especially when its BECAUSE of your Vet!

Vet techs are super friendly and explain answers to my questions thoroughly. The reason for my rating however is reception and communication of costs. Whenever I have called or interacted with reception I have felt like they were judgemental of my questions and not answering them to their fullest capacity (I’ve just recently started going to this place and wanted to know more about the process of becoming a patient and usual practices when coming for first visits). I notice I am treated differently to other pet parents when I come in. Moreover, when I have came in and had questions about costs I feel these were not communicated to me properly. I was told when coming for a follow up booster shot for my pet that it would only cost about $30 which was totally fine. But then there was the hidden cost of a “short visit” slapped onto my bill for an extra $45 - I was with the vet for less than 10 minutes and my pet had already gotten a preliminary checkup during its first visit and I had not expressed any further concerns since then that would warrant another general evaluation of health. I already paid $130+ the first visit for a checkup and vaccines. When I asked what I was being charged for (because the “short visit” cost was a surprise to me) the receptionist was short with me, answering my question in a way that they thought cost shouldn’t be of concern to me. I understand that vet services are necessary and are not inexpensive but having a breakdown of the visit explained to me without me having to ask would be nice. I just wish they were a little bit more understanding of where I’m coming from when I need more information and that I was clearly told what my options are and their costs before I consent to anything. I can afford to care for a pet but I don’t have money to just throw away so I think asking for a breakdown of costs isn’t an unreasonable thing to do.

The folks at Billings Bridge Animal Hospital are top-notch. They gave the best quality care for my cat Agnes from her cancer diagnosis to end of life care. A huge thanks to the receptionists, vet techs, and especially Dr. Ha for taking such good care of us and going above and beyond, and during crazy COVID times, no less. They showed her care like she was their own pet, even when she was being "Angry Agnes" (I promise she was the sweetest cat outside the vet haha). The Better Business Bureau accepted my claim of poor service due to their unprofessional and arbitrary behavior. The hospital insisted that my 14 year old indoor cat needed a vaccine against my wishes and refused to clean her teeth as a result. She had been tested by them a month earlier and found to be free of disease? Cost me 165 dollars. Appears they are more concerned with their own interests (money) than good service and the welfare of my cat. How does an indoor cat get rabies?

I needed to tell them what medication my animal needed. Now a year later my cat is dead. Dr Lu said she was ok. Apparently not. It's one thing to be over priced, it's another to be dead wrong. Rest in peace.
