Our 13 months old Chum Chum was throwing and had diarrhea for 48 hrs. We called and took him to this outstanding facility. The staff welcomed our puppy with warmth and then Dr. Parker consulted for possible diagnosis and next steps. Everything was black and white and no hidden if's and but's. The tests and costs were discussed in advance and then after diagnosis the treatment was discussed with expected costs and scheduling for treatment etc. Overall very satisfied and top of that Dr.Akram also got involved and talked about the diagnosis and treatment. The technician staff was very professional and everything finished in a very pleasant way. After we arrived home and started administering the medicines we got call from the hospital in one day that how our puppy is doing and I tell you smile speaks even it was from the other side of the phone. On third day again we got a call from the hospital to find out the well being of our Chum Chum. Job well done, you guys really love your profession.

Exellent care of our 3 cats Shadow, George and Luca. I highly recommend this place for your pets. Had an accidental surcharge once that i may have overreacted to. The owner called me promptly and fixed the problem without any hassle. They really do appreciate your business here and they treat you and your pet like human beings. We've been with them for 3 years now. God bless their establishment. ????????

The vet aspect is fine. The vets are competent. However, their office staff, while kind, are slow. You will for sure find better, more organized experiences at other vets.

Highly recommend!! Exceptional service right from the minute you walk in the door and beyond. They took excellent care of my cat, Sophie aka Silly(dental work) The prices are very reasonable. They took me within an hour of calling!! A very busy clinic however, the Vet took time to examine our Silly and answer all our questions and concerns. He was clear and concise with his answers, very informative. They follow up on each visit and also call to see how Silly was doing. Always offering exceptional care. I cannot say one bad word about this clinic. Just excellent!

I am a ancient client of Bank. I have a lot of pets and I have experienced serval hospitals in town. I would not say Bank Street Animal hospital is the best veterinarian, but it definitely on the top list. Nurses are super responsible and warm. They welcome you with their charming smile and greeting for every visit. Doctors are extremely professional and experienced. They give my pets proper treatments and professional suggestions all the time. You deserve five stars! I will stay with you!

Kendra Knaggs

My husband and I have been been bringing both of our dogs here for the last 2 years. They are great! I love that once we were established if we had questions or I was nervous they allowed me to call or send pictures via email for help. They are all so friendly. I also like that they give you all your options and all the prices and help you choose the best and most affordable treatment. My pug ate garlic last year and had to stay overnight and we didnt feel that they were unfair with the fees for the large amount of treatment he needed. We are moving to NB this week and stopped by for a last nail trim and flee medication. Thanks for everything. Would recommend.

My go to place for all my vet needs when taking care of my pup. Amazing service and wonderful vet techs, I highly recommend Bank Street Animal Hospital to any animal owner and you surely will not be disappointed.

Run to another vet! This vet's incompetence and neglect killed my mother's dog. Repeatedly seen for urinary issues and never properly examined even though my Mother was charged thousands of dollars. The dog had such bad cancer of the kidneys the emergency vet couldn't even recognize them. The emergency vet diagnosed him in less than an hour with very advanced stage 4 cancer that spread from the kidneys all over his body and he was in multiple organ failure. This vet only cares about the bottom line.

Hazelyn Torres

Thank you to Dr. Mengi for taking care of Noelle when she was very sick and for taking extra calls and answering all my questions. To Dr. Parker, thank you for taking us in very late in your shift and staying beyond your office hours to help our Noelle pass on peacefully. Thank you for making a very difficult time a bit bearable. To all the Bank Street Animal Hospital staff, thank you from the very bottom of our hearts!

MsH Quinn

Amazing service every time we go!! They really do understand that our pets are our family. Thank you for that

My wife and I took our two cats here for the first time. We liked the convenience of the Saturday hours. One of our cats was getting his rabbis shot and previous vets had trouble vacinating him because of his nerves and fear. The vet and staff easily had the tools to vaccinate hin without using medication. The vet Dr. Jahangir was thoughrough with our other cats coughing issue. Sadly we had to edit and update this review. Our one cat did not get better after spending $150 dollars. We realized that we could have picked up the same product with a perscription for $50. Learning from that we went back to pick up a stronger perscription. We did not want to fill the perscription at the vet because we did our research and the same drug would cost a tenth of the price at a local drug store. Getting the perscription was incredibly painful. We spent a week asking the doctor and he made it very difficult to pick up the script in order for our cat to feel better. It got to a point where we lost our patience and the doctor finally said we could have it free of charge. We picked it up and were charged. We were so annoyed and exhausted we will never go there again. As a pet owner you have the right to do independent research and not be forced to buy the inflated price of your pets meds at the vet.

Poor manners on the assistants side, prices increase on medications frequently and I'm often waiting more than 30 minutes after my appointment.

I feel like the priority is as a business -- making max *profit* per visit. I needed a 45 dollar cream, and the total bill was 250 dollars with the extra fees (i.e antibiotics. I asked why, the area being free from infection, and the vet backtracked and said it was not needed. Then.... ok?). Erring on the side of 'add it to the bill and see if the owner argues', which becomes and uncomfortable negotiation. Also, it was clearly *overbooked* the last two times I've been during Covid. Lots of waiting in the parking lot, line ups out the door with others who have made appointments for that time. Waiting to get in past the appointment time with a nervous/sick pet, then waiting again to receive my treated animal because they had so many people they got confused who owned who. Another indication of their money-making priority, it seemed. The animal care is fine, and vet trips are expensive, yes, but I don't feel respected.

Being a medical professional myself and a client of this practice I called them after my cat began having the exact same UTI symptoms as over a year ago. I called looking for a refill of the antibiotic that was used. The staff stated that my cat needed to be assessed before they could do that. When explained that I am a MD myself and that I have recognized the exact same thing is occurring with my animal the staff stated that their policy was that the animal needed to be assessed. When asked for an apt time, the staff said the nearest avail apt time is 4 days from now. I explained to her that during our first visit, no urine dip was done, no X-ray was done etc as I wanted to try the cheaper solution of just antibiotics first. The staff refused and stated my animal would have to remain sick until I can bring her in refuse the X-ray and urine assessments and leave with the antibiotics. They are just looking for charging the extra $$$ for assessment

We had a wonderful experience when we brought our Pet here for a check up . The staff and the Doctor in Attendance were very professional and caring and walked us through the process step by step . The personal attention and service is un-matched, Highly recommended to bring your pets here for the ultimate care and personalized attention.

Mike McLean

The service and staff at Bank Street are exemplary. From the speedy service to their amazing technicians, they really take the time to give your pet the care that it deserves. I especially loved my experience with Dr. Parker. One of the most compassionate and attentive veterinarians I have come across. I would recommend her to anyone that attends this great clinic.

Adrienne Turnbull

My puppy's neuter was okay, but they left a needle in his leg! I removed it myself as I didn't want to return to a clinic that was 45 minutes late for pickup and had a chicken bone just outside the door (had to reach into the pup's mouth to remove it)

Miguel Alarcon

We get our medicated cat food here. Staff is usually friendly and gets our order within the time they estimate.

Garth Tucker

They were very caring during a truly horrible time for me while my boy Jack crossed the bridge. They didn't try to gouge me like the 7 other clinics I spoke with who wanted $800+ for euthanasia services. Highly recommended for a caring, friendly staff.

Guy Beauregard

Just thought I'd give Bank Street Animal Hospital a bit of praise after visiting them... As always, the staff and doctors are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, they treat my scared husky Phoenix as if she was their own. Everyone is compassionate to her needs and do their best to comfort her so that her experience is like she's at the spa, even though she's getting poke with needles or having her nails trimmed. Any and all questions and/or concern I have towards Phoenix petrified behaviour was answered professionally with many helpful suggestions and references. I would 100% refer anyone to BSAH with no hesitation.

Chrissy Burton

They've been a blessing to me and my cat after he ate string and required surgery. Currently out of work and they've always taken the care and life of my cat over making a huge profit - from meds to post op check ups and the surgery itself. Will be a happy client of there's for years to come!

LOYAL Rescue Bios

With so many of us feeling like we are just another number, Bank Street Animal Hospital has made compassionate, patient listening a cornerstone of their practice. They feel that it is important for pet owners to be able to voice their concerns openly and completely and then works with the owners to ensure that both pet and owners receive the care which is needed and which addresses all of their concerns. Bank Street Animal Hospital strives to help ALL animals and their families to maintain the highest standards of compassionate medical care. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, everyone who works at Bank Street Animal Hospital truly cares. Laurie W

Took my cat for a check up and the cost of simple blood work was very expensive.Did not even receive a copy by email. Don't be fooled as I was.

Stephanie Dong

Every person here cares for your pet, and is willing to go above and beyond to give them the best quality of care possible, as quickly as possible. Would recommend to everyone.

Michael Joly

They take such good care of your pet. I've never had a bad experience there. Prices are reasonable.

Amy Richardson

Dr. Parker is super comforting and knowledgable. She doesn't push anything and makes sure we are always properly informed. My dog loves her too so that's a big bonus.

Great Animal Hospital. After doing quite a bit of research (location, affordability, business hours, medical equipment on site and reviews, etc), I have chosen the Bank Street Animal Hospital for the care of my two felines (Valerie and Coal (incidentally Coal is originally from the Parliament Hill Cat Sanctuary). I have been extremely satisfied with the services from the doctors and animal technicians and staff and whole heartedly recommend this excellent animal hospital. (My cats' family doctor is Dr Rosetta Parker). I can not say enough good things about this place.

Retro5girls

My mom had to put her senior dog down today. They handled it with such care and professionalism and compassion. Ty so much for everything. Kc was very very loved. Dr. Lanre Odusote is an amazing vet and this is definitely his calling. He is meant to be a vet

Steph Drouin

Amazing experience with them. They were the only place close to me to accept new clients. I brought in my puppy a couple of weeks after getting him for a couple of shots. I called a month after because he got a reaction to something, and while we were in the office, my puppy went into shock, and they were very friendly and loving, to make him feel as comfortable as possible. For a whole week the Doctor, himself, called me to check-up and make sure things were going great with my puppy and the last time I came in for his last vaccination, they were as loving and remembered him like he was one of theirs.

Sean Nolan

Wow, unbelievable! Great staff and great service. Both Jessie and Dr. Jay were extremely helpful with our cat Layla. They were able to diagnose her issues and explain to us exactly what was going on and instruct us on how to tend to our cat's infection. Our bill was also a LOT less than we had anticipated. Furthermore, Jessie made a follow-up call not even a week after our appointment to see how Layla's treatment was going. A+ service, would recommend to anyone in the Ottawa area!

I chose Bank Street Animal hospital as they were the only ones who would accommodate my appointment request during this pandemic as we took in an abandoned kitten. Got an appointment in good time and the visit was smooth and trouble free. Excellent friendly staff and my cat Simba was treated with care. Got home after the appointment and needed to ask a follow up question, gave them a call and they did everything to answer my question. So glad I found these guys as their service was excellent. 10/10.

We were late by 20 minutes to get our male cat neutered and to our surprise, they let us in at 8:25am and just made the whole process easy for us nervous pet owners. The lady at the desk outlined what the pros and cons are for the surgery and broke it down in lamest terms. Thank you. Great customer service and easy to follow. Don't be afraid to ask questions because they will answer! ????

Laila Booth

Great experience with the Bank Street Animal Hospital. We brought our 7 year old cat in because he was having trouble urinating. Dr. Parker was very knowledgeable, explained all possible scenarios to us patiently, and walked us through the next steps. When we were finally able to bring our cat home, we got daily phone calls from Dr. Parker and the staff to ask how he was doing and to answer any questions or concerns. The staff are always very friendly with us and always very gentle and loving towards our pet. I would highly recommend.

I implore any one and everyone to read this threw completely if you love your animals the way we do. I gave a review a few weeks ago trusting that my girl was getting the care she needed. After my daughter brought our dog to the vets, I was still concerned and had questions, so I went after work to book for her surgery she apparently needed for a burst blood vessel from scratching as a result of her allergies. This was on June 24. I spent $450 on prednisone and her heart worm pills. I booked her appointment for surgery for July 2. That was going to be a cost of $800. Followed instructions to a t that the vet gave me. As we got closer to the weekend, I noticed she was sleeping a lot and not eating as much. Called the vet on the weekend and of course they were closed till July 2. By the Sunday I was overwhelmed with concern for her so I told my husband to find a ride to go to the vets at Alta vista emergency hospital. ended up coming home cause he couldn't find a ride. We had to carry our baby into the car and rush her to Alta Vista. They had to bring her in by stretcher cause she had no strength. They worked quickly and got her stabilized and had her on intravenous. We spoke to the vet and gave her full history and they took the time to explain that with all the information we gave they should run some blood work as they thought there must be something deeper going on. We got the estimate and went a head. They allowed us to go to the back to say good night to our girl and told me I can call at any hour to check in for an update. We were so devastated as a family and they were so compassionate. I did call at 3:30 in the morning cause I couldn't sleep and they filled me in on everything since we had left her and promised the doctor would call us by 11 am that morning. True to their word, I got a call at 10 am and the prognosis was not good. Our girl had actually cancer of the blood. We had to put her down on CANADA DAY!!! Bank street did not take the time to ask the questions that needed to be asked. They barely gave my child the time of day to give a proper diagnosis!!! When I spoke to them on July 2, they didn't even offer any condolences and tried to put the onus on us and said my child turned down blood work!! I called them on it cause I had 3 people with her for support!!! You didn't even offer to find out why this happened!!! You soaked me for $450 and were willing to soak me for another $800!!! If you had done your job diligently we would not be suffering with pain. cause if we had known our girl was suffering with cancer we would have taken her pain away sooner!!! Not even an apology!!! Shame on you Bank Street Animal Hospital!!! Alta Vista Hospital was amazing with us and very caring and compassionate. People say they are expensive but let me tell you, I would pay the expense any day over going through the hell Bank street put us through. We will no longer be bringing our pets to them and will be telling every one we can about the kind of treatment you get there. SHAME ON YOU especially for basically calling my child a liar when we had 3 witnesses there with her. She had my debit card and full authorization to do what needed to be done for our dog!!!

Our vet was closed and I needed a booster for on of our pups because our boarding place wouldn't take them. I was supposed to take my fiancée on vacation the next day! We were stuck. I called 5 vets and none would take the boys in on short notice. Bank street took my pups in within 20 minutes and gave amazing care. I'm so thankful!

Micheline Lajoie

Although they were booked up for appointments on the weekend, Bank Street Animal Hospital squeezed in an exam of my senior cat and were able to diagnose a UTI on the spot. As a result we were able to start him on antibiotics on Saturday instead of waiting till Monday, and a faster recovery for him. We drove an hour in from the country for the appointment, and it was well worth it.

Rob Hart

Not only has Bank Street consistently had better prices than other vets, but all the staff here are wonderful. The doctors really care and take time to go over any concerns and are thorough.

Diane Jesmer

First appointment, first shots for my new kitten. Very friendly staff and vet. Covid protocols in place so waited in my car and the vet called to give an update and book the booster appointment.

Heather Langille

We are so pleased with our visit here. The staff was very friendly, we were able to get a same-day appointment, and they were prompt and efficient. Even better, our cat was very well cared for. We are happy to say we've found our new animal hospital!

Ubaid Rehman

Always go here friendly service cats and dogs are safe feels like family. This group of people are the nicest you will ever meet. They care about all ther patients and the owners. I wish i'd found them earlier!

Bank Street Animal Hospital is super understanding and professional. I would highly recommend seeing Dr Rosa Parker! She is the best at handling the pets and also she is patient and walks you through the cost of different treatments. They are also much cheaper than other hospitals in the Ottawa South area

Katerina Moscovoy

We have had excellent service and care for our senior dog Teddy. The staff are kind and courteous. No one has pushed us into unwanted or unneeded services. When we received an upsetting diagnosis for Teddy, Dr. Karman and Dr. Mengi guided us through our options and how to best care for him. Because of that guidance and excellent level of care, Teddy has survived and surpassed his initial diagnosis of only 2-4 months left by 1.5 years.

Debbera Haggarty Jara

Love the veterinarians, always good with my dogs, answers all questions

Meagan Chisholm

Friendly front staff with great follow up. Some lovely vets, would give 5 star but not all vets are as helpful and friendly as othera

Rita Sharma

Very nice and friendly staff. Dr Kamran is very nice and caring Whenever my pets need him, he is always there for them even so many times I reached his clinic when he was about to close but he never refuse us. I would trust him for all my pets. Thank you very much.

Mark Tibshirani

Great service, nothing against the employees, but the vets don't care about your pet, just what's in your wallet

Laura Myers

I had such a terrible experience here with my dog. Vets are cold, vague, give misinformation, overtest and overcharge whenever possible. So happy to have found a new vet.

Daham Fusuy

I brought my baby cat in for a check up because he was not feeling well, the vet there did a check up and sold me a whole bunch of medication. He said to start administrating the medicine tomorrow and he will be fine. The next morning I woke up, and my baby past away overnight. Simply heartbroken and lost, I would not recommend bringing your loved one here, as they were not able to see the severity of the situation. I wish I could go back in time and take him to a real hospital but now all is lost :( Please don't make the same mistake I did in trusting these people, I really thought they cared and did a thorough check up.

Emily Greer

I love this place, they've always taken such good care of my Dina.

Mona Reda

My boyfriend’s puppy, Mira, has gone through several visits at the hospital due to extreme flare ups of dust mite allergies. Fortunately, all the staff and Dr. Jay have been extremely helpful and have been very considerate/helpful due the high vet bills. Prices are reasonable and they can be accommodating. However we’ve only visited Bank Animal Hospital therefore, we haven’t gotten to experience different price quotes from other hospitals. Now on the days when we don’t have anyone to watch her, she spends almost 2-3 days a week with the staff (while they treat her like she’s their own) while they allow her to run around, play and make some friends with the other dogs and cats: They allow her to finally experience her puppyhood since her allergies are under control.

debbera haggarty

Love the staff, always their even if it's just for information, has taken great care of my dogs. Big and small .

Elsa Chi

Service was amazing. Dr. Parker takes good care of my dog. She is very accommodating and gives us quote for all her recommendations. In addition, the ladies at the front are always welcoming. We go there everytime my dog is sick and will go again for my dog's vaccination.

Ali

Wow! What an amazing experience. Dr. Kamran and his team are highly professional and are very fair with their prices. Dr. Kamran is Knowledgeable and a great listener. One thing I am sure about is that I wont have to search for a new Animal Hospital ever.....I highly recommend this place for all your Veterinary needs

Brought my cat Molly in about a month ago. Was given antibiotics and pain medication. The doctor advised I should bring in a urine sample for analysis. He thought it was a urinary tract infection but wanted to make sure. I made an appointment and went in today for them to do a urine test as I was having a hard time getting this done at home. I was very clear about this when I booked. When I arrived, they advised they were behind due an emergency. My appointment was at 2:30pm. About an hour later, staffer came to advise they were still running late. I waited. A staffer finally came and advised it was my turn. Another staffer came out and said that I was there for a checkup and a Doctor consult. I clearly stated no, I was there for my cat to have a urine test. About an hour later, another person came out and asked me to go into a consulting room. He was a Doctor. No introductions. I was advised the bill would be $500.00 for another antibiotic, pain killers and a blood test. He advised I would not be charged for the consultation - which I did not ask for. He said that was being respectful on their part. No urine test was completed but my cat was soaking wet on her belly and back legs were soaked. I was advised that she was wet due to a mix of rubbing alcohol and urine. Mostly urine I was told by the Doctor. No-one bothered to dry her. They had charges on the invoice which I did not authorize or agree to. I refused to pay for a $25.00 tech charge-whatever that is. I asked what happened to my cat's urine test. The Doctor ignored my question and told me to do it at home. I waited from 2:30pm until 5:00pm and I ended up with a urine soaked cat who was very stressed and no urine test. I was not prepared to pay for a blood test until I had the results of the urine test, as per the directions of the first Vet who was very kind. I paid for another round of antibiotics and a pain killer to be on the safe side. Everyone is very friendly but they are disorganized and they obviously don't communicate between booking, reception staff, techs and doctors. I clearly repeated I am here for my cat to have a urine test so many times, it is beyond my understanding how this happened. What a total waste of my time and upset for my cat. I will now go to another Animal Hospital where they know how to listen.

sher V

Called to book my dog for her annual vaccination was told my dog was listed under deceased..was told I could not be present for the exam. My dog returned to me petrified then was charged for vaccines she wasn't due for. It's never the same vet constant change in staff. Will not be returning.

Marc Balian

Great overall experience. Friendly and professional staff. Vet was knowledgeable and very helpful. Clinic followed up to see how our pet was doing later in the day. Highly recommended.

Tiffany Apartments

The staff are rude and disrespectiful. They dont help your pet.they only want money. They ripped people off durring the pandemic. i would have posted a 0 if it was possible

Chris Lisk

This place should be shutdown for malpractice. No wonder the BBB doesn't approve of them.

Incog Nito

This place is definitely promising. The owner is nice and polite, the staff are super friendly and kind and the vet assistants are pretty great. However a lot of items in between are not so great. One of them is communication, other is the fact that a few of their vets aren’t very nice (or experienced). Overall the wait times can be intense, they seem to often double book appts, my case out of the 12 appts that I’ve had there... I’ve always had to wait about 30-40mins each time before the vet gets to my pet, I get that sometimes they’re running behind... but communicating that is important... I could have taken a walk with my nervous pet or went to gran a coffee. Also they don’t ever discuss prices with you(not in my case), unless I specifically ask. so at times you’re surprised at the front desk. When I did ask, they were clear, but most of the time it slipped my mind because I was preoccupied with my pet instead(sorry not sorry). Also, not too sure they realize how the cleanliness is an issue. But it needs to be addressed I feel. I’d also like to note that on 4 occasions I discussed my concerns and complained because I felt they were sub par enough for merit. Each and every time they said “oh we have never heard this before” and “nobody ever complains”.... reality check in dealing with the public= just because nobody complains (or has the courage to do so) doesn’t mean there isn’t a issue and that it should be dismissed. The majority of people never complain to businesses(fact: look it up), what they do instead is go somewhere else. Which is exactly what I’m doing.

I took my bunny pet for over 4 years to this location and the staff was NOT there when I needed them the most. I came to them for the first time after having researched for a vet that specialized in "exotic animals," as most vets in Ottawa do not take in pets such as rabbits and considered them to be exotic. At the time, the staff confirmed that taking my bunny to their location was OK as they did take bunnies in. Fast forward to a few days ago (April 23rd, 2018), I called them in to book an appointment for my bunny who was not feeling well at all and needed to be seen immediately. She was experiencing seizure -like episodes and partial paralysis of her hind legs . When I called and described the symptoms, the person on the phone communicated that they could not see my bunny and later said that "the vet did not feel confident taking your bunny at this time." For those of you reading this review and with a pet at home, this is certainly NOT what you expect to hear from the only people who you trusted with your pet's health and well being. I think these people should have been honest since day one! If they do not feel"confident" seeing exotic animals, then do NOT ADVERTISE otherwise. In my case, my bunny pet did not make it. However, it would have been so much more bearable if the people I trusted at the beginning (Bank Street Animal Hospital) had been HONEST about their expertise level since day one.

Very interesting And quite cynic

Chris C

Great experience . We took our two Bernese dogs. Now we take our German Shepard and loves going there.

Tina Brookes

2 big thumbs up! Been going here for a couple of years now and very pleased with the service. Prices are reasonable and often better than other vets. They take time to listen and discuss options. Highly recommended!

Jared Lavoy

First off, all the reception/assisting staff were incredibly nice. Dealing with them was a pleasant experience. We brought our small kitten in because we suspected ear mites. We were not allowed in with the vet as per their Covid procedures and I believe he took this opportunity to neglect his due diligence. He assumed they were ear mites without verification and prescribed a medicine that was not suitable for our cat's weight nor did he inspect her ears properly for possible perforation as they were filled with wax and debris from the mites. The medicine he prescribed contains a powerful insecticide that could cause severe harm to cats if it enters their blood stream. We found this to be extremely unprofessional of him and we were glad we refrained from administering the medicine to her after reading the information paper it came with. They did allow us to return the medication for a refund at our request which the staff happily processed. We only wish the vet we dealt with would have been as professional as them.

Nicoleta Stancu

Sad and disappointed in the way services are provided to clients , lately. Assistants show lack of interest in a job well done , and caring for the life of the clients' pets. It used to be such a well cared for environment. As I said I'm deeply disappointed. Thank you but not thank you for your business

Belinda Warren

Really like the people here. The staff are very friendly and helpful and you can tell they care about your animals and love what they're doing. They even took the time to give us a courtesy call to see how our pet was doing after her appointment which I really appreciated. Their fees are quite reasonable as well. I would and do highly recommend Bank St Animal hospital to anyone who lives around the Ottawa South region.

Unfortunately I have to edit my previous review. I had a great experience with the Bank Street Animal Hospital at my first visit, but after that things got really bad. They made mistake after mistake. A non comprehensive list : They gave my dog who has a medical condition that limits the amount of vaccines she's allowed to be given at once, a vaccine without my consent. I could not intervene because people are not allowed inside the clinic as a COVID precaution. Then they messed up the vaccination certificate that I explicitly told them, was needed for international travel and when I noticed their mistakes and asked them to fix it, they expected me to pay for it. Just for them to fix it, not for an additional service they had not charged before. When I went to receive the needed travel documents, I had everything prefilled, they "corrected" the vaccine validity date on the papers, only to have CFIA correct it back to the dates I had written into the papers. And last but not least did they let my cat with a terrible eye infection wait for several days to be seen, because they did not have appointments for their own customers. They suggested we try different clinics. I will gladly do so, and I will never return.

I had an excellent experience at this animal hospital. I called about my geriatric cat and got a 10 minute consult from their vet who helped me to decide to put the cat down. They saw me and my beloved FuzzButt as soon as I could come in. The physical exam verified the vet's original opinion. Their sensitive handling of the procedure and helping me was outstanding. Thanks so much

I walked in with a Persian cat and walked out without a Persian cat and a $1,000 bill. When my husband (thoracic surgeon) asked questions as to what could have possibly happened for a cat to go under cardiac arrest but for over sedating the cat. The doctor became very defensive. He said “you are accusing me”! After a 5 minute exchange, the doctor turned around and slammed the door. I just lost my cat but the doctor felt he had the right to slam the door. Unfortunately for the clinic, I am a medical negligence lawyer and took a copy of my file. I truly feel my cat died because of the doctor’s negligence. Never going there again. Oh wait, no need, I don’t have a cat anymore!

I can't say enough good things about Bank Street Animal Hospital! My dog has had a few health issues and concerns and each and every time I have been treated with so well. Most importantly, my dog is well cared for! I trust them 100% with my dog's care. We had been to another vet when he was first a puppy, with terrible experience. I have been so pleased for he last year and a half with Bank Street Animal Hospital. Their care and attention to my dog is always so much appreciated. I would recommend them highly!
