No line up, nice staff, but what this place is great with my cats in the sense that they like them, which is surprising. And when they're done they bill you with a cost lower than any other I've seen around Oakville. Deserves and 5 out of 5.

We met Dr. Fisher today for the first time, and Daisy the Pomeranian and me the human???? both loved how she tried to make Daisy’s appointment a lovely experience. How passionate she is about her job makes her exactly who each dog deserve to have as a vet. She dealt so well with my fearful rescued dog.

Dr. Kohlmaier, Dr. Fisher and the team are all really nice. We've been with the clinic for many years, having tried out about four others before settling here. We've brought a couple of rabbits and three dogs through there. The clinic is responsive, answer all questions, layout all options and do not pressure you to adopt a particular decision. When one of our rabbits died after a surgery due to complications, the clinic was extremely apologetic, did not charge us for the procedure and made a donation to OVC. We've had two of our dogs put down there and the team has always been been sympathetic. We've been very happy with Westoak and highly recommend them.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this clinic is. The staff get on the floor with the dogs to make them feel comfortable, they always squeeze us in when our pup has an issue, even on a busy Saturday. In the past the vets have taken early morning calls before the clinic is open to advise us and usually give us information on things we can do from home. they care so much about the animals and owners. Vets take the time to explain things and make owners feel at ease. They are the MOST knowledgeable vets we have experienced, able to diagnose and treat things other offices haven’t and I trust them entirely with my fur baby! They’re also an incredibly affordable clinic- they removed an object from my dogs paw, trimmed nails and just charged the basic exam fee. I love this clinic and it’s staff and am so grateful to have found them- we even drive 30 minutes to see them!

This is an exceptional animal hospital. As a breeder, I require many spay/neuter surgeries every year and Dr. Kohlmaier's surgical skills are unsurpassed. He will dive into an unusual diagnosis with enthusiasm that is rarely seen, exploring options and clearly explaining the path ahead. Dr. Fisher's compassion and concern are genuine and heartfelt and the puppies respond to her unreservedly. I truly appreciate the practical approach of this practice and you will not be bombarded with unnecessary procedures that will draw on your heartstrings and empty your wallet. If they recommend a procedure you can be assured that it is needed. The staff, headed by competent and knowledgeable Sabrina, keep this practice running smoothly with appointments, record-keeping and getting answers to my unending list of questions. My only disappointment - over the years I have recommended many of my puppy people but lately some have been told that the practice is full and that is a loss for those puppies. Hope they stay healthy and safe during these stupid Covid times!

went in to buy cat food, have bought it here in the past and I'm still on file with them. they refused to sell to me this time because my pets are not on file. then tried to tell me the food was by prescription. I'm not an idiot, went to another local vet clinic and bought it. they are not happy to make 60 bucks on a bag of food unless you spend $$$$$$$$ on your pets there. would give them a zero star if I could. then they talk to you like your an idiot. all about the money. Oakville, more like Jokeville.

Dr Kohlmaier and Dr Fisher are truly caring Veterinarians! They genuinely care, have pride and passion in their work. They have gone above and beyond for us! When my dog got spayed, I was very worried that she would be scared and lonely during the recovery process. West Oak Animal Hospital sent me pictures of their staff member in the kennel cuddling with my dog and explained how my dog was a bit upset, but their staff stayed with my dog as long as they needed too. This made my heart melt and I knew we went to the right place. On another occasion I was absolutely terrified that I would have to give up my nervous and reactive dog when I became pregnant. I called Dr. Kohlmaier and voiced my concerns. He spoke to me on the phone for over an hour giving me advice on how to prepare my dog for a child and assured me that we would be fine. He said to speak to him anytime should I have further concerns. He volunteered his time to assure me everything will be okay and didn’t ask for any compensation. That advice and reassurance was priceless! Today my dog and daughter are best friends. Thank you!
