I've been going to the Oakpark Pet Hospital for almost a year with my kitten (now full grown cat) Monty. After our first wellness check - in which the vet was open to answering all my questions and assuaged my worries that came with being a first time pet owner - there have been several occasions in which Monty has gotten into trouble and needed to be seen quickly and they have always been able to squeeze me in and get him seen as soon as possible. Dr. Terri has been incredibly helpful and informative in answering email questions, helping me pick a flea medication and food for Monty and I couldn't be happier with his care. I highly recommend Oakpark Pet Hospital, if you're looking for a vet, this is the best!

I took my cat here starting after our old vet moved practice, and every experience I had was wonderful! The vets are all excellent as are all the other staff I had the pleasure of interacting with. They are very caring and explain everything thoroughly, including the costs. The office itself is large, bright, clean and inviting. The only reason I stopped coming here is because we moved away, and if it were financially viable for me I would continue to commute to get my pets seen here. Would absolutely recommend!

We have been taking our pets here for over 8 years. All the Dr's and technicians have always been beyond helpful. There have been times when emergencies have popped up (my dog pulled put her nail and another time we found a huge tick on my cat) and they were great at fitting us in last minute. I have been going to Oakpark for 5 years, I have a cat, English mastiff and now a puppy olde English bulldoggee. I would never go anywhere else, I know I can always trust Dr.Lara advise. Before I started going to Oakpark I went to a clinic that squeezed me of as much money as possible for something that should have been an easy fix for my cat. I know Dr.Lara cares about my animals and tries to be mindful of costs. I know whatever she advises me to do, is what is best for them. And this is goes for all the vets at this clinic, when Dr.Lara is away or on her day off and my animals need to be seen I can have faith in any vet there. This evening my dog hasn't been feeling well and I saw Dr.Emma and she was fantastic and knowledgable. We saw her two weeks ago for his shots so she didn't charge me for a check up. Which I was very surprised even with out having a rapport with Dr.Emma she did exactly what Dr.Lara would for us. That was really amazing. Thanks guys! I always refer my clients to you guys! We initially got our baby bella spayed and we were very impressed with the whole experience. When we had this complicated surgery of the patella fall on us, i wanted the best surgeon to do the job and Dr.Matt was amazing. His professionalism and experience oozes confidence and we looked no further and got the surgery done almost immediately after meeting Dr. Matt. Our baby bella is still recovering from the surgery and we cant emphasize more that the whole team at oakpark has made it so much easier for us to go through this painful period. I came all the way from Aruba to spay my 10 years old 2.1 kg Toy poodle . I was nervous because she is older and small but Dr. Matt and his staff were very professional and they answered all my questions and concerns . I did some research on the laparoscopic surgery and phoned few places but Oak park hospital become my first choice because of their experience and professionalism. I am very glad that I choose them . They called me the day of the surgery and told me everything went well and I can pick her up in few hours . My dog was totally normal the day after the operation and she didn’t seems to be in any discomfort to my astonishment. I tried to keep her quiet for few days just in case . Her very small incision heeled perfect and her stitches were removed on the 9 day . Thank you Dr Matt and all the staff of Oak park hospital

Took the dog here for yearly shots, first time I was there and wow. the place is huge, clean, and bright (I never get all that in a vet, maybe one of three). The waiting area is spacious, the examine rooms are biggest I've been in a vet, and the service was top notch. Everyone was friendly to us. Only thing I am not a fan of is that the shots are administered out of view (so no real assurance the shots are actually given). Free nail clipping is a nice bonus though. Prices are very fair and the vet does not force you to pay for stuff not needed. I will be returning for sure. I'd give a 4.5 if I could.

Excellent experience with Dr Terri today! Very knowledgeable and patient, great bedside manner, a sense of humour, clearly loves dogs and was very thorough. I love the fact that the waiting room is so spacious, as are the exam rooms, it’s very peaceful and pleasant with the lovely front desk team. Salinger had a fantastic time and really appreciated the low-stress, creative ear-cleaning - In fact he enjoyed it a little too much! :). Oak Park has been by my side for 3 of my dogs. My older 2 passed away 5 years apart. Oak Park was a huge part of diagnosing and helping us manage some really difficult canine diseases such as Hepatocutaneous Disease (1st dog), and then a combination of Kidney disease and degenerative disc disease for my 2nd one.

It took one visit to this vet and I immediately switched. The front desk staff is amazing and always so accommodating and friendly. Dr. Matt has been wonderful with the care he has given my dog. His attention to detail is spectacular and he truly cares about the work he does. His confidence is also appreciated - especially when I’m always so nervous about the health of my dog. He makes me feel certain that my dog will be taken care of. I recently asked Dr. Matt about a surgery for my sister’s dog and his quote was thousands of dollars cheaper (yes I said thousands!). My sister is also switching vets - and she lives in ancaster. She is willing to travel far because the veterinary care is so good. I would recommend this hospital to anyone.

I have been waiting for some time to write this review because there is truly so much to say. Dr. Matt Croskery is the best Vet I could have asked for. The passion to be the best at what they do as well as deliver the best service for the animals along with their owners that cross their doors is unreal. Dr. Matt has been our family vet for the last 12 years and I highly recommend everyone to go to him because of his compassion. He isn't one of those "in it for the money" Vets you hear about. He says things as they are because he really cares. From multiple surgery with our family dog who has now passed away to now our 9 Month old puppy's Rocky start to life, Dr. Matt has been a continuous support. Our puppy had been showing issues with walking and joints cracking and just not being puppy like. Dr. Matt had his doubt but advised us a CT Scan to see what it could be. Turned out our puppy has elbow and hip dysplasia. Dr Matt then went above and beyond by reaching out to an Orthopedic Surgeon who recommended we get surgery done; which we have now. Dr. Matt has helped us by understanding our wants to keep our dog as long as possible, healthy and happy. This is where your pets should be treated!

My cat started acting weird this morning and I called the vet. They told me they only had a 3pm appointment but that I could come in and they would hopefully squeeze me in earlier. When I got to the office they were extremely friendly and helped me to a room right away. Within minutes one of the doctors came to assess my cat just to ensure he was stable. When they determined that he was stable, they told me that another vet would come in and see him as soon as they could. Not even ten minutes later, my cat was seen. Dr. Laura was wonderful and made my cat, who can be very scared at times, feel safe. She did an extremely thorough assessment and made me feel confident that my cat was ok. She told me that if when I got home, something else happened, that I could call her right away. I will be coming back to this vet for life. Great service, great staff.

I’ve been to over 20 vets in the past 21 years and I can honestly say that he is in a league of his own, no one compares to him. This animal clinic is truly amazing. We heard about this clinic from multiple people when we were getting our first dog, who is a great dane. We wanted a vet who had experience with dogs (obviously) but also a lot of experience with big dogs. We decided to come here and have never ever thought about switching. We cant even list all the reasons they're so great. They have taken Mango, our dane in last minute when she cut her paw, they're always so gentle and careful with her, the facility is stunning, and they'll always give you a tour around, even in the back area, they also have a lot of appointment rooms. Oakpark Pet Hospital is a vet clinic that you can trust, and we all know that this cannot be said about all vets. I've been taking my kitties there for about 3 years, and with every visit I have always felt that their vets cared for their patients, and I have never felt up sold on anything. I will give you an example of a time Oakpark's advice truly helped. When I first adopted my kitten Gracie, she had an eye infection and a lot of diarrhea. She was covered in diarrhea so we took her to another vet clinic that had a groomer. The vet at that clinic said we needed to buy some 100$+ eye drop and needed a cone for Gracie. We ended up taking her to Oakpark and they sold us an eye drop for only 20 dollars that completely healed her eyes. No cone was needed. Just today I took one of my other cat's there as well who had been vomiting. The vet recommended an X-Ray, and I'm so glad she did because they found out that he ate something he shouldn't have. They were able to book him in for surgery today in order to avoid further issues. I can't say enough good things about Oakpark. If you are looking for a vet that is reliable and trustworthy, this is the vet!

Dr. Matt is definitely the best vet there is and we can't imagine taking our three little pups (toy poodle, lhasapoo and cockapoo) anywhere else. Through the years, he has conducted successful surgeries on all of our dogs ranging from knee surgery, hip surgery to oral surgeries. The staff and Dr. Lara take the best care of all our pets, I know others whose pets are cared for at Oakpark, including my sister's pets and my partner's family's pets. Recently we had to euthanize one of our cats, and while she was sick (cancer), the deterioration of her health happened very suddenly (we thought we'd have way more time with her). Oakpark handled the entire situation with gentleness and empathy. They gave us time to gather our wits and despite covid, they had a safe process in place where they allowed us to come in and be with our pet during the process (otherwise they're curbside because of Covid). They're very informative and helpful. Others have mentioned that they're able to get cheaper vet services with other vets, but I think Oakpark's prices are fair given the level of care and cleanliness. I can always trust my pets are safe with this clinic and I would highly recommend this clinic to others.

Staff is very friendly and we switched our dog from another place to this one. The hospital is very big and there is never a crowd or waiting when I visited. The doctor will give advice and make sure any decision you make is not for the money but for the dogs best and their owner too.

Our cat became ill rather quickly, we brought him to the ER to find out that he had a blockage in his intestines. We were told he needed surgery within 24 hrs or he may not make it. Our current vet was unable to help, so we went on a hunt for a vet to do the surgery the next day! Oak Park Pet Hospital saved our cats life. i can not say enough postitive things about Oakpark. they lovingly cared for my dog Toro for 17 and a half years. They always informed me of my options and never pressured me to do tests or treatments for my dog , but let me decide what was required . I always felt they had Toros best interests at heart and were also understanding of my needs and concerns. And when I finally had to decide to part with Toro, they were considerate and caring and I would not have wanted anyone else to care for toro. Oakpark made a donation, in toros name, to the Pet Trust at the University of Guelph for research into animal health. I was very moved by their contribution. if/when I get another dog , I will absolutely go back to Oakpark

They sent me an email to confirm the appointment time for my cats, which are 3:30 pm and 4:00 pm. When I called them due to the traffic congestion and would be late, so I would like to keep the 4:00 pm one only because we would be there at 4. And they said I only have the 3:30 one. They plan to have ten minutes each, which means 3:30 for one cat and 3:40 for the other one. When I show them the email, they still denied it. After all, they said they could do the exam and vaccination. When things were all done, we required the weight numbers for cats on the booklet. They said they didn’t weight them due to rush. So I really suspect they even didn’t do the exam like the first time. For the first time, I took our cats to take their first vaccination and deworming here. And the doctor said they are healthy, while we found severe lice for them at home. At last, the hospital and we had the agreement, not going to work again, and closed file.

I cannot thank Dr. Matt enough, for his expertise and compassion. 3 months ago, my dog woke up limping, with a large bump, by her ankle. With the Covid lockdown, I went to a local vet ( I’m 329km away) After tests xrays etc., the vet informed me, my dog had Osteosarcoma ( bone cancer) To say, I was devastated doesn’t come close!!! In all this time, my dog did not deteriorate or lose her energy. I called Dr. Matt and asked if he could see her and re assess the situation. He didn’t hesitate!! We were in his facility 4 days later. He felt a Cat Scan would be the best course of action. His mannerism and concern was beyond comforting. By the day’s end he was 99% sure it was NOT cancer!!!!! It was a rare injury that was already in the healing process.. Confirmed by a radiologist the following day! I am so forever grateful to Dr. Matt and his entire team!! I trust him 100% with any of my dogs!!! Thank you again, Dr. Matt!!! You are the best!!!!!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Matt at Oakpark. I have never experienced a Vet or individual as great or compassionate as Dr Matt. We got our 2 puppies 15 years ago and within 3 days of bringing them home the one puppy became very sick. Then a day later the second puppy become ill. Upon taking them to Dr. Matt he said both of them had Parvo. The second puppy was out of his clinic within 2 days and back home. The first puppy spent over 2 weeks there and Dr. Matt was there day and night looking after him. He told us he was in bad shape however after 2 and 1/2 weeks we brought him home to his brother and he was good to go. Dr. Matt did not charge us a cent for their care as he stated the puppy’s should not have been in this state when we brought them home. He is an awesome Vet and someone I would highly recommend to anyone. Both our puppies are now 15 years old and Dr. Matt has looked after them there entire life. I have had many dogs and cats and have never met a more qualified vet in my life. I have recommended Dr, Matt to several of our friends who will share the same experience. He is a true professional. I really do not need to send this post as I am sure there is a waiting list for his services but if you are lucky enough to have your pet under his care you will truly understand what I am saying. Dr. Matt is truly one of a kind. An animal lover, husband and father to his kids and so dedicated to our 4 legged friends. He truly is a godsend to all pets who are man’s/women’s best friend. This pet hospital has a self wash station, complete with shampoo, conditioner, towels, blow dryer for $10. They also offer nail trims for $5. Very reasonable priced if I need wash my dog. I definitely recommend this place for self wash. I have not been here for any vet services but the staff is very friendly.

My lil Tuna (Luna, half Maine c0one) was looking like she was about to pass away at a young age (just over 1 year). She even hid from me for a good two hours when I got home and couldn't even look up at me or lick my hand. Super skinny and dehydrated, as lethargic as an actual sloth. Long story short, I show up with no appt at opening time and Dr Matt and the Vet assistants at OPH saved my cats' life. She is now passing stool freely again with no surgery and eating and drinking water, playing, etc doing cat stuff. Miraculous work, 100% honest review from a new customer. Not sure if she's all good yet, but this is as good a job as anyone could expect. A little busy on the weekend but I can see why. Good work yeilds repeat customers. Thanks Dr Matt!

Two years ago, our 9 year old female Chihuahua became gravely ill with a blood disorder that is known to be fatal approximately 80% of the time. The illness came on suddenly, without any warning whatsoever when she was on a daily walk and my wife wound up having to carry her halfway home. Our own Vet Clinic was unable to see her due to many of their staff being off on summer holidays, as such we reached out to Dr. Matt and his staff at The Oakpark Pet Hospital. They told us to bring her in right away, which we did. The component of her blood work related to her illness was at a dangerous level and they told us that it would be touch and go for the next few days while she remained in their care on an IV. They kept in contact with us over the following days and informed us that her progress was encouraging. She was well enough to come home two days later and almost back to her old self again. She required medication for the year that followed, however during routine visits during that time period, they monitored her blood and reduced the dosage until she was no longer taking any meds. She has been healthy ever since. As any dog owner will tell you, losing your beloved four legged companion is no different than losing any other member of the family. The care that was provided and compassion shown by the entire staff was second to none and the expert care she received ultimately saved her life. The costs we incurred as a result of her treatment were more than reasonable and both our dogs are now regular patients of Dr. Matt and his staff.

I'm extremely disappointed with Oakpark and their services. We took our senior cat here back in March because he had really bad nasal congestion and had really loud breathing. They recommended dental surgery and said the nasal congestion is likely linked to his teeth. We got his dental surgery booked the following week and they did a great job with it. HOWEVER, post-surgery service was horrid. We kept following up with them because his nasal congestion was getting worse, he wasn't moving as much, and he lost a lot of weight, and there was nasal discharge with some blood. They wouldn't see him yet kept prescribing a different types of medicines over the phone for us to try. After practically begging them to see our cat, they just prescribed another medicine to try (one that we had to get through an actual pharmacy so it was quite pricey) and some high calorie wet food. Throughout all this, the vet told us that it was a virus which cannot be cured through antibiotics even though we kept saying he was getting worse, so we waited and hoped that the virus would go away. Our last visit to Oakpark was in May. Fast forward to September where we took him to another vet due to his worsening condition. Last week, the new clinic determined that our cat had a nasal tumour, and this week will be our last week with him. Although his cancer is incurable, maybe if Oakpark listened to our concerns instead of brushing them off as a virus and wasting thousands of dollars on the surgery and unnecessary medications, he could have been diagnosed earlier. Instead, we wasted his last couple of months with us waiting for him to get better, and now we only have a couple days to spoil our old guy. Needless to say, we are never ever coming back to this clinic.

Its a super speciality hospital capable of handling simple things to most complicated health issues. Not at all money minded. Very caring and my BELLA loves to come here! Genuine pet loving team in this hospital.

The examination (even with the pandemic protocols) was thorough and informative. There was no rush to our conversation and Dr. Croskery took his time to make us comfortable. Great experience today with our pug Lily. We are new to Oakville and unfortunately our puggy had a bladder infection (which she is prone to). We where concerned that a new vet would not understand that we have had a lot of experience with this including 3000.00 worth of surgery over the last 7 years and that we "know the drill" when it comes to this. I came in and they took us immediately without an appointment. I had Dr. Angela and she was fantastic :)))) In and out with an exam, 14 days worth of antibiotics, urinalysis and culture.....212.00...fantastic :) Great staff, super friendly, knowledgeable and caring vet. This is now our new clinic. Thank you :)

Always a great experience. I've been coming here for 2 years and still leave astounded by how attentive and professional the staff are at this establishment. They also don't try to upsell you on anything and have reasonable prices on care. Secondly, the place is clean and the people are friendly, which is always a bonus. I will always be coming back!!!
