My cats have been seeing Dr. G since he was practicing in Mississauga so naturally we had to follow him when he moved to Oakville. I say we had to simply because Dr. G is one of the great ones. Him and his fabulous staff always take great care of my family's kitties, as if they are his own. He takes the time to explain things even if you have a lot of questions - always honest and straightforward. If you're looking for a vet who truly loves animals, please take yours to him, you won't regret it!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr. G. is very skilful and explains every option available before proceeding. He is attuned to the clients' emotions as well as the pet's. He truly cares for the animals. The appointments and checkups are easily scheduled and tracked by the hospital which makes things very convenient. I honestly will never go to another vet for my kitten or any future pets! With covid I was very skeptical about taking my pet to the vet due to the no contact or entry policies, but I have never met such welcoming and kind staff who walked me through the entire process as they took my little baby in! I also was able to have a phone call while my pet was being examined and after, allowing myself to feel as if I was inside and comfortable enough to ask as many questions as I wanted. They are so kind with my little furry son, and i could not ask for a better team to take care of him! Dr. G truly is an animal whisperer and any pet would be lucky to have him as their vet. 15/10 would recommend !

Dr. G has restored my faith in veterinary medicine after my experience at his Bronte practice. From our first appointment with Maddy, Dr.G and his staff have gone above and beyond with each visit. We came to his practice with our pup having a pre-existing heart condition and when we needed his help with kennel cough and pneumonia Dr.G and his staff were thorough and reassuring. The Bronte practice is well managed by Sarah and she checked in with us often to make sure Maddy was doing ok. We haven't experienced this level of trust and care until we met Sarah and Dr. G. I had given up hope of even finding a half decent vet until I met Dr.Safwat Gobriel. My cat Luna has been battling an upper respiratory infection and had severe conjunctivitis of her eyes. So much so that they were glued shut. Luna has the herpesvirus and has been seeing another vet for an upper respiratory infection since she was 8 weeks. Luna is now a year. So she was battling this for a full year with no results. Needless to say we were desperate when we walked in. Dr. Safwat Gobriel did not disappoint. He was attentive and truly cared about what he was doing. After the proper antibiotics and care Luna is on the mend. She looks a 100% better than when we first walked in. Thank you so much for everything. You have restored my faith and will have a life long customer with us.

The Vet. and staff members at this clinic are FENOMENAL! , they even stay after hours to make sure your your pet is 100% good after check up or procedure. I would recommend this clinic to everybody, they would never give you a wrong diagnose of ur pet's condition and they would advice you in the best way they can!. I have been going to Dr. G's clinic since his first clinic in Mississauga for almost 5 years now. There is no other vet I trust my cats with more. The facilities are always clean and the staff loves my pets as much as I do. The clinic has emergency services and they also do all the blood tests in the office. It is always such a relief to get blood test results within 15 minutes rather than days later! I now live in Hamilton but I still make the drive out to this clinic with my cats because I wouldn't trust them with anyone else!

I really like Dr. Gobriel and his staff. Their approach to pet care is compassionate to both the owners and pets. Last May my daughters and I adopted two kittens from Ninth Life Cat Rescue, they suggested me to take them to a vet right after for a general check up. I picked Lakeshore Road Animal Hospital, because is the closest to where I live. I got an appointment the same day I called. We discussed which shots were most appropriate at that time. No waiting, once we had arrived, it was obvious that the Doctor was ready to take charge of giving the best possible care to my beloved new furry babies. His experience and confidence is unmistakable. Honestly, in one visit I found exactly what I was looking for trustworthiness, outstanding care and kindness. Yesterday, they both had their routine spay and neuter, both bounce back very well after their surgery. I can't say enough how happy we are with their services and boarding, if you are looking for a place to bring your pet, this is definitely a place to go!

The team at Lakeshore is incredible! I simply could not trust any other animal hospital to provide my baby Kobe with such care and compassion. He is never afraid to go in and loves them. They were able to help my dog after an attack and within a day he was already back to himself, as much as he could be at least. Dr. G and his staff, especially Rachel, Sarah and Cleo have been amazing in providing care for our kitties Marshmellow and Gingie. We have been particularly impressed by the team in managing the care of our little Gingie, an 8 month old Persian, who developed a rather rare and complicated case. I felt assured from the minute Gingie was assessed that Dr G would provide the best possible care. Consultations about what course of action to take was provided continually with clarity and sensitivity. I continue to be struck by the genuine care and compassion he showed in talking with me throughout this whole process. I felt supported and consoled at times given the fears of losing our kitty and I could feel everyone I spoke to at the clinic was authentic in the empathy they had for our family and the decisions we had to make. For a while we were not sure if our kitty would recover. And through our tears We were left to make decisions within the realities of costs for care. This was difficult at best but we felt Dr G ensured we were informed about the risks and possible outcomes of recovery. We always felt costs were more then fair and transparent with options to payments flexible allowing us to make a financial commitment to various procedures in hopes we would have our kitty recover. It has taken several weeks of care and follow up including a 2 week hospitalization but we have continued to see progress and remain hopeful. To note during the hospital stay my children and I were always welcomed to visit anytime. At every visit staff were patient with us, would take the time to chat, answer questions and give updates. They would even provide educational info to my kids curious about the procedure and what they do at the clinic. We were invited for multiple visits during the day, received regular updates by text and late night visits were offered given there was a point Gingie was getting 24 hour care by the staff of the clinic. At times we were on the brink of euthanizing. Thankfully when our kitty started to show signs of recovery it was with the confidence and trust we had in Dr G’s knowledge and experience that allowed us to be patient and to remain hopeful. We are amazed that our Gingie is now home and on the path to recovery. I am in awe of the medical knowledge, skill, and willingness to work difficult cases of Dr G and his team. Especially given the circumstances of this case as it was so severe I could find no other case on the internet and it even baffled the team at University of Guelph Veterinary Medicine. I was confident that Dr G was up for the challenge and eager to make for a successful outcome if it was within his power. I know this review is long but there are not enough words to say how amazing the entire team is at Lakeshore hospital. Given our experiences I actually feel like they are our extended fur baby family. I have no hesitation recommending this clinic and I believe if your pet is sick, if there is any chance of a positive outcome, it will come as a result of Dr Gs care. While not all cases will end as successfully as Gingie I am confident that the support you will get from the team will make it easier because they journey with you.

Brought him at Mavis and Eglington Animal Hospital and there I met Dr. G and his lovely staff who took care of my puppy. They saw a foreign body in his stomach. My dog Gemma had a bad injury on late Saturday morning. It was an emergency as my dog has a condition where she can bleed to death as her blood does not clot. I rushed her to Dr. Gobriel’s Lakeshore location and he immediately attended to her. He treated her with utmost care and ensured that she got all the attention she needed. It even meant that they had to work after closing hours just to make sure that Gemma got the appropriate medical treatment. Dr. Gobriel further answered all of my families questions and concerns, which left us feeling relieved after the experience. This is my unbiased comment about the Lakeshore Animal Hospital. And its only natural you would be skeptical when you read my review. However I felt compelled to put the word out about this clinic. I was recently a drop-in client with a very, very sick dog. I desperately needed a 2nd opinion given my last visit to another vet proved unsatisfactory leaving me with the instinct to not go back there. I needed someplace nearby my place of employment and quickly did a search for local vets. What first grabbed my attention was the fact that this clinic is shown as being accredited. The minute I stepped into the clinic after getting a same day appointment up until my last meeting with the staff, I can only comment that I was met by professional, knowledgeable, kind, caring and emphatic staff. They truly care and go beyond to make ones pet feel as comfortable as possible. I am forever grateful to Dr. Gobriel for his expertise and for explaining in detail the outcome of the tests that were done inhouse. I wish I could write more. But as is previously mentioned, you will not be disappointed.

After taking my cat here under dire circumstances and in the middle of covid (after I had unfortunately lost my job) the ONLY opinion I got from these vets was a $3000 overnight stay for my cat “to see if she’s okay” after many tears and feeling this was financially unviable, I took her home. Only to call elsewhere for second/third opinions and be given plenty options that were medically and financially available. Other vets actually couldn’t believe I was never given these options here and it’s honestly heartbreaking to think other people may have gone through the same situation. I was basically told I couldn’t afford, so I should go home and see if my cat makes it.

Dr G and his staff are amazing!! We recently moved to Bronte and wanted to find a vet closer to home than the one we had. I'm so happy we found Dr G! Our dog Kenzie was not feeling well for a few days, so we took her to see Dr G. He was able to diagnose her with Salmonella and coccidia right away. Kenzie needed to be put on an IV and stay at the hospital for two nights. I hate the thought of her being alone, but Sara came in both nights at 1:00 AM to check on her and take her out! The staff obviously have a passion for animals - Sara, Hailey, Katrina and Cleo all treated Kenzie like a queen. I was able to go in and spend time with Kenzie while she was hospitalized, and I saw how loving they are to all the pets in their care, not just Kenzie, while I was there. I felt very confidant that Kenzie was in good hands while she was there. I would highly recommend anyone to take their pets to Lakeshore Road Animal Hospital. And I cannot thank the staff enough for their care of Kenzie while she was sick.

I absolutely LOVE the Lakeshore Road Animal Hospital. I tried several different vets and was never completely happy with the service. It's hard to compare Lakeshore Hospital to everywhere else I tried because it's honestly just so much better. You can tell everyone who works there sincerely loves animals. After spending two and half months and almost $3000 with another vet in the neighbourhood trying to determine what was wrong with my dog, I was recommended to get in touch with Dr. Gobriel at Lakeshore animal hospital. He seemed very knowledgeable and actually interested in finding a diagnosis. After asking around, we decided to take our new puppy to the lakeshore road animal hospital for a check-up and to get the first shots. The staff were very warm and welcoming. Dr.G put us at ease and took the time to answer all our questions without making us feel like we were uninformed. We never felt rushed or like we were taking up too much of the Dr’s time. Dr. G is the only vet I would trust my pets with. He will only do the work that is necessary and always knows what is best for your pets well being. His staff is willing to go above and beyond for your pet. Coming in the middle of the night to check on your pet, calling you to make sure you're updated and will love your pet as if it was their own. You know they are always comfortable in their care. I can always rely on them to take care of my pet and get them back to the highest levels of health.

I’m not here to cause a fuss. But its been 3 years since my puppy daisy passed during surgery. And i just cannot understand why your vet didn’t blood test her beforehand. I’ve spoken to so many that are ADAMANT on pre surgery blood work. But your business chose to skip out, why? To save a buck or two? My angel is gone for good because of negligence. For anyone reading this, PLEASE throw a fuss and ensure that your dog has bloodwork before surgery, there’s a slim chance they could be a hemophiliac. I would never wish the dread i still feel upon anybody, shame on the vet who we TRUSTED with her life, just to brush her off for a quick dollar. Sarah was the sweetest girl I’ve ever met, and i know she felt just as terrible as we do. But I pray you’ve gotten a better vet, someone who actually cares about animals.

At 4 years old and with all of love and dedication to him we werent convinced that this unbearable suffering was the best veterinarian had to offer and that he needed to be put down. Some how we managed to find you and your prompt professional response to see him, the utlization of highly advanced investigative techniques and technology in house and the informative discussions that followed about best practice, benefits and risks to suggested treatments allowed us to make an informed decision that led us to trust that you could make him better. And Yes you did! Casper's quick recovery to health and quality of life was back. He was eating , drinking, being his wonderful mischievous self with a few days. We couldnt believe it. This was something he was not granted by other experts for years, and we are grateful. Cannot say enough great things about lakeshore road animal hospital. My big kitty ended up getting very sick with urinary problems, turns out he had a pretty severe infection and a blockage as a result. The day that I noticed I thought for sure it was too late. He couldn’t walk, he had been howling in pain. I immediately called my regular vet and as soon as they know it was possible blockage they advised me to go to the emergency and couldn’t even see him, I called few other clinics in the area , no one was able to see us. But once I called lakeshore hospital the receptionist recommended that I bring him as soon as I can as this is a life threatening emergency. The first person we saw was the technician and I couldn’t even express how wonderful she is at what she does! She is an absolute doll! Then we saw Dr. G and he too, provided the best care imaginable for my boy! He is incredibly kind, caring, and has a great sense of compassion for the animals he cares for. Dr.G told me all about the blockage, and he need to be unblocked immediately, although I was super nervous about it he made me feel totally at ease with his kindness and knowledge of what was going on with my baby. I can’t thank the staff enough for the love, warmth and care they provided for my kitty. They frequently called me for updates and were nothing but compassionate for my boy. After 2 days of being in hospital, my boy came home healthy, well groomed, full of energy again and happy as ever! If you have a sick pet with an emergency, or need any sort of care at all for your babies, do yourselves a favour and bring them to lakeshore animal hospital !

Once again there are not enough good words to say about this hospital! Our beloved elderly dog Murphy was suddenly not acting himself. He was very lethargic and vomiting quite a lot. We did not think Murphy would make it through this last bout. Given Murphy's history extended diagnostics were not required just some simple blood work. With the information from the blood work Dr. G. and the staff were able to lovingly help our guy back to good health.

Where do I begin? TOP NOTCH, WONDERFUL, CARING, PROFESSIONAL, LOVING, EXCEPTIONAL FACILITY, CLEAN. That was just for starters. I am dedicated to my kitty-kat and found the perfect team at LRAH. My little kitty needed help. Dr.G, Sarah and Rachel took care of her so well. They loved and cared for her as I would. Dr G. took time to explain things to me. Sarah and Rachel gave me daily updates. Every time I visited her she was clean warm and bundled in her pink blanket. I am so happy to be a part of this wonderful group and trust them with my little girl. I feel safe knowing I can call them any time day or night in an emergency. What more could an owner want.

My Brussels Griffin, Frankie, had a serious corneal ulcer, and I tried to treat it myself. I did not have a vet in Oakville but luckily I chose Dr. Gobriel . Dr G and his staff were so sincere and took the issue seriously with Frankie. Dr G outlined the approach and gave me options with full transparency of costs and timing. After trying antibiotics with marginal results, Dr G proposed an operation that he could perform, a very creative and delicate operation. I felt very confident with Dr G and went ahead, even though he did offer an option to go to a ophthalmic specialist. The surgery was a complete success and I would recommend anyone who wants an experienced and compassionate vet to go to see Dr. G. A vertified board surgeon performed the surgery and the Lakeshore Road Animal hospital provided exceptional care before and after the surgery. We are very thankful to Dr.gobriel and all his wonderful staff for saving our little puppy, Sissy. We definitely love to share our story with everyone living near this hospital. We were a big group visiting from Quebec, our little puppy was running around and suddenly fell down on a big rock and she became unconscious, we panicked and called many clinics around , they all turned us away to the emergency clinic, luckily one of us called the lakeshore hospital and they advised us to bring her in right away. Since we brought her in, we have received nothing other than excellent care and compassion. We couldn’t believe that she made it out safely in few hours. They even followed up with us to check on her the day after and emailed us a copy of her radiographs and blood tests. These people are truly awesome ???? ❤️

The best vet office in area, wouldn’t want to take my babies anywhere else. I found them three years ago when I got a barn kitten whom I knew had a few health problems. It was Thanksgivings weekend and not a lot was open. I’m glad they were. They have heart, you can tell they care and want the best for my babies. I have confidence and trust in them, which is the most important part. I wouldn’t go to a doctor’s office I didn’t trust, why would I take my my fur babies to a vet office I didn’t. Amazing vet and staff. My dog was panting and coughing the night prior to my visit. It was suggested by the emergency hospital that I monitor him (ensure he slept) and bring him to my vet the very next day. My original vet was nowhere near equipped with the necessary equipment to care for my dog. This is where I decided to try Lakeshore Road Animal Hospital. I was so surprised that Dr. G was able to read my dog’s X-rays himself (it required a specialist at my previous vet and took 2 weeks to get my results, Dr G had my results within 3 hours). He also informed me that he can do an echocardiogram as well! I’m now bringing all of my animals to them.

First thing I have to say is, If you are looking for someone trustworthy, who cares for animals probably just as much as you do... Go see Dr G. and the team at Lakeshore animal hospital!! My dog was suffering from an open pyometra, a scary and possibly dangerous diagnosis. From the very beginning Dr. G and his team were responsive to my needs and educated me on all my options. After a stint on antibiotics - I opted for the emergency surgery to have her uterus and ovaries removed. Dr. G and his team did everything in house: - x-rays - complete blood work - provided me with meds for my dog - blood transfusion - IV and antibiotics - surgery - post surgical overnight care I highly recommend Dr. G and his team for your pets care and needs. His experience as a vet and the team’s ability to communicate with me was exceptional.

I want to give praise to an amazing Vet named Dr Safwat Gabriel. I recently took my 10 year old lab to him for a growth that was growing under her eye lid. Our previous vet had given us two options to fix this problem after a biopsy confirmed that is was negative for cancer. Option one was to lose the eye lid whereas she would never be able to close her eye again and option 2 was to lose the eye completely. we were heart broken to hear this and said we would discuss it and get back to them. Their recommendation was to lose the eye completely.For months prior to this I have seen pictures and stories of this vet in Oakville on Facebook, that had done very difficult surgeries and posted pics of it. I had never heard of this place but had mentioned it to my husband that I would like to go and see him for a second opinion. I felt if he cant save her eye then we don't have a choice and it was interfering with her vision and was bothering her. I made the appointment, saw this vet and right away he laughed and said there was no reason to lose the lid or the eye which would do more damage to her mental health and she would go down hill. He said he could save her eye with a 20 minute surgery. We were so excited and booked right away. She has had the surgery and is doing very well. I give our heart felt Thanks to ALL the staff at Lakeshore Animal hospital and would Highly recommend them to all. We have now switched all our animals care over to them and I cannot be more pleased. Dr. Gabriel is now helping her with stiff joint issues and I have all the faith in him that he will do right by our Furbaby. Thank You again Dr. Safwat Gabriel and to all your staff who are amazing. Made an appt for our dog to be put down due to age and complications. The doctor spoke with us for 1.5 - 2 mins as their end of life consultation (which is $89.50) and apparently illegal to put down an animal without this done. The lady at the front came out and handed me a $1094.00 invoice for putting down a 1.2kg dog and cremation. The cremation charge was $302.50 + $90.00 for paw print stone. I usually don't get upset or when it comes to animals money is no issue, but to have a vet practice charge as much as humanly possible to someone who obviously is in a very upset state is theft and you guys should re-evaluate your charges and reasons for them. Also doctor was very unprofessional while dealing with us.

Well I have to say all of the great reviews were right. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You can really tell they love their job. I would definitely recommend this place to any other pet owners. I called to bring in my puppy for a check up on his eyes and they had an opening right away. They were very quick at getting us back there and answered all our questions. Everyone loved him and they were so caring and making sure that my puppy got the best care! I highly recommend this place. There are 2 other vets closer to me but I still chose this one and I definitely made the right choice!

We are forever thankful and grateful for Dr. G, Rachel and the staff at Lakeshore Road Animal Hospital for giving Oreo the best care ever imagined. We first were clients at a clinic in Burlington but that soon changed when we repeatedly visited the clinic in Burlington and nothing they were prescribing or suggesting was helping. In fact, it continued to get worse.. rapidly. We decided to look online for a specialist that could possibly help, a second opinion. We found Lakeshore Road Animal Hospital and we truly wish we would have started our journey with them. They were passionate, professional and truly genuine. They did not push us away prescribing medication that “might work”. They took her in as one of their own and cared for her right then and there. They saw how upset we were and reassured us that she was going to be okay. After the proper care she received (including being put under to clean up her skin, tests, medication and so much more) there were a few follow ups to make sure Oreo was doing well and even during the days we were not scheduled in for an appointment, they would call to see how she was doing. I sincerely recommend Lakeshore Road Animal Hospital for all of your furry, or hairless, companions. I assure you that you will not be disappointed but rather regretful that you did not go there in the first place.

To say the least, Dr. G is a Phenomenal doctor and his medical team are exemplary! After a friend of mine referred me to lakeshore hospital, I brought my dog, who suffers from serious disease, and in critical condition. We had given up hope, having been turned away from other clinics or given grim diagnoses. But Dr.G and the nurses welcomed me and my senior dog with open arms and devoted their hearts and experience for a solid hour and a half to treat her and figure out the best long-term treatment plan for her. They reacted swiftly, demonstrating impeccable knowledge and practice. Dr.G gave me several options for treatments, keeping in mind the financial aspect, which is so thoughtful as well!, few days after out initial visit he called me to explain the test results he run and to plan our next steps. In other words, me and my dog have never been treated with so much care, support and professionalism as in lakeshore animal hospital. They saved my dog life, and now she is happy and healthier more than ever before! My deeply heartfelt thank you, Dr.G and his outstanding team!
