Dr. Dieter was fantastic with our 14 year old Maltese, Daisy, and her teeth extraction. We had been at another vet and were not happy with the quote we received ($3400), and it was also taking a long time for them to give us an appointment for our dog. After calling Bronte Road Animal Hospital, we had an appointment for a consultation within 3 days, and a date for her tooth extraction a week from that. We were quoted about $850, and ended up paying $888 - super happy with this reasonable pricing. Daisy is now 1 week post-op and her mouth has never been healthier and she's feeling great. We were also given before and pictures of her mouth which was cool to see. Dr. Dieter really knows his stuff, is completely transparent about the procedure, and was more than happy to explain everything to us. We have now made him our primary vet not only for our dog, but for our cat and our rabbits as well.

They are great, everything I could ever ask for. They went above & beyond when I was coming from a string of bad vets. The doctor even learned a new procedure, became proficient & then brought my guy in to do his vasectomy. It was perfect & my guy was in excellent in hands I could trust. In all interactions I've seen he was outstanding, even down to talking to a young kid concerned about a bird that had fallen out of a tree. Really just an outstanding doctor & practice. I appreciate that I never felt that I was his teacher, he is extremely knowledgeable & very professional in seeking continuing education. I also never had to argue over stupid stuff or get in fights over them wanting to (they didn't but others had) wrestle dominance into my dog; these guys even went so far as to happily have my new puppy visit a few times & get lots of loving before any actual vet visits (obvious with covid wait on that). They are amazing, they had all the proper equipment, trained professional staff, lab access, etc. Frankly, I would probably be more confident in him doing surgery on me than I would many human doctors. Anyways, a bit off topic since he doesn't do surgery on people but still just excellent all around. Also the best vet in the Halton region.

This is the best clinic in Oakville and I had tried others when we first moved to Oakville. Dr Schmidt and his staff have cared for 6 of my cats for over 15 years. Everyone here is compassionate and highly skilled ... we had one cat with cancer who received chemo, a diabetic cat and most recently a cat with a thyroid tumor that was successfully treated by taking the advice to have a one time treatment. As another person mentioned, Dr. Schmidt does not push unnecessary procedures and when necessary he gives you all options for available treatments.
