You will see all the opinions of people who buy the services of Royal Oak Pet Clinic (Veterinarian) near to the territory of Oak Bay (Canada).
At the moment this firm gets a score of 4.4 over 5 and the rating was based on 71 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is very positive, and it's founded on a large number of reviews, so we can be quite sure that the valuation is quite credible. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to place feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

For the 19 years of our cat's life she was cared for by Angie and her team at Royal Oak Pet Clinic - and I mean CARED. We could not say enough good things about their consistent caring professionalism. After her death we received a kind card with lengthy individual condolences from each of the four staff. We thank them deeply.
Super knowledge and always give good advice to help my sick rats. Great staff! Especially the 2 dogs that hang out in the back, they are the cutest!
Just visiting from out of town but need a vet. They got us in right away and we're all great to our dogs and us!
I've never been there before, I'm not a client of theirs, but I called them to ask a question about my diabetic cat being lethargic thinking it might be an emergency (my vet was closed). They were able to help me and I'm very grateful!
We've been taking my cats here for almost 19 years and they've always cared for and done everything they can with our cats. They're always kind and put up with my many phone calls. Angie has been our vet since my first kitten and she is kind and caring and always provides the best for our pets. She gives good advice and keeps an eye on them when they need it. My current cat is 18.5 years old and has some health problems and they call me to check in at least once a week- and I'm always calling them too! I know all of the staff there and they are so supportive and kind- thank you all so so much! <3
Great facility, really felt at ease leaving my pupper with them :) Experts that know what theyre doing!!
Great experience here so far. Dr. Chambers is very knowledgeable, and has no problem researching an issue further or consulting with colleagues if a case is particularly difficult/strange (which my dog's is). Friendly service, knowledgeable vets and staff, and a genuine love of animals. Highly recommended!
Dr Bay has been great with my dog who had had ongoing skin issues. She is extremely thorough and goes out of her way to follow up. My dog is sensitive to medication, and Dr Bay took this seriously and suggested the safest methods for addressing the skin issues. Thank you for your hard work!
Been taking my Scottie dog here since I got her, they have fair prices and great employees!
I've always had good experiences here. They seem genuinely interested in my puppy's health. They're knowledgeable and effective communicators.
Really helpful for a new cat owner :)
A very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Friendly with all pets and people...highly recommended!
This review is hard to write but a must as I wish I could give this clinic 10 stars ! my beloved girl BUBBLES passed last month after suffering a stroke at the age of almost 14 . She was a long time client at royal oak pet clinic however she passed at emergency care. Despite her last visit not being at royal oak , we received the most beautiful well written condolence card from royal oak pet clinic. this was incredibly thoughtful . Great clinic with wonderful staff .
Got a letter from them today Dec 24 dated Dec 06 posted Dec 21 (postmarked) and based on so very correct statements we will not be returning as clients.
Great friendly service.
We were just checking it out
Absolutely amazing. I felt like I wasn’t being treated seriously at other vets (I have a hamster) and finally I could breathe a sigh of relief when I walked in this pet clinic. They actually CARED!! It was so refreshing and the staff are so kind and caring!
As a client for over 5 years and totalling 6 pets cared for - my experiences with the Royal Oak Pet Clinic has been fantastic. From regular check ups, medications, procedures, and more they have been constant professionals. The staff there are incredibly knowledgable and friendly and you feel like your pet is in the best care. Dr Chambers and her staff are reliable in their communications and efforts to help you with whatever you need. As a pet owner there are often times where the news isnt good and its helpful to know they understand and discuss options that are realistic to your and your pets needs. Happy to be a client!
Money hungry! Always up-selling vaccinations/ different food. Extremely judgmental. We've moved to another veterinary clinic and are MUCH happier!!
Friendly, competent and usually easy to get appt times
Helped
Dr. Chambers and staff are very knowledgeable and especially kind. They truly care about all their patients. My only wish is they could do more in-house without the need to use the central hospital.
Great veterinarian who takes her time to explain things in a comprehensive manner.
Very friendly and helpful staff who clearly care about the animals they care for. Was a little bit expensive to take my rats there, but not much more than expected. Will be choosing Royal Oak again in the future!
My mother is 98. Her dog is her life. She does not have a lot of money. They prescribed food made by Hills where the reviews had complained about dog pancreatis and death. The food had wheat bran and beet pulp in it. We asked for a refund. They told us we could bring the food back if he didn't like it or if it wasn't suitable. They refused and gave her a credit. Her dog needed dental work. They quoted her a minimum if $1200 plus $181 per MINUTE for extractions. We went to Bark Bite and had it done for $250. These guys are like lawyers. Watch CBCs marketplace on vets.
Really good service!
The veterinarians and support staff that have worked with my darling animals have all been so kind to my fuzzy companions and so supportive for me in challenging times. My darling Pippin will be in again for surgery, and I know he will be given the best and most loving care he could have.
Great staff. Beautiful new clinic. Would recommend
They are so great! My cat loved them and they are extremely helpful and great with animals and people!
Do not buy your food at this pet clinic...there are other Vets In the area which have the same brands a lot cheaper. They charged $15.00 more for a 8 lb bag of dog food . Royal Canin..
*** Update *** The office manager contacted me. This clinic appears to have taken these issues very seriously. They did their best to rectify all issues and assured me that the behind schedule issues was isolated and based on improper booking of prior clients (which they have rectified). The also address the other issues through training or new procedures. Although my experience was problematic, I am very heartened that they took it seriously and tried their best to rectify all issues. Speaks to how their value their customers - good job! *************************************** The vets are nice and appear to care for the animals. They also seem to provide the right treatment. However the staff is super disorganized. Both appts were almost an hour late (stressed out cats sitting in a carrier waiting). Don’t know if that is the staff not booking enough time or the vets not organizing themselves well. Also had a problem with the bill. They phoned me days later to say they forgot to bill me for a treatment. Never gave me a bill when I did pay so at this point I have no idea what I’ve actually paid for. Finally they did a call back for one of my cats that was sick to see how he was doing but enquired about the wrong cat. Very scattered. Think I’ll find a different vet with an office that runs better.
Great care
Dr. Chambers is a very experienced and caring vet, she has been seen my elderly cat, and she is always very careful about checking everything and explaining what is happening, and what are the alternatives, she never rush and give you advice and always follow up. I am grateful that we found her. I would not go anywhere else, and would highly recommend this clinic. The staff is also very nice and caring.
I adopted a 15 yr old Seal Point Male Siamese 8 months ago. As with a senior pet, he had health issues, including a mouth full of bad teeth, inflamed gums, abscesses, cysts, and breath that smelt like rotting flesh. He required 6 teeth to be removed. Dr Chambers performed all the work and now he is one happy cat. Wonderful knowledgeable and professional staff. As with people it is important to keep up on your pets dental health as it can adversely affect their overall health.
THIS CLINIC IS THE BOMB ! As a first time pet owner, it was intimidating trying to find someone I can trust, and I feel extremely lucky to have found Royal Oak. I feel like they truly care about my pets’ wellbeing, and not just about profit, as I’ve experienced at other clinics. I’ve been bringing my rats to see Dr Bay for over a year now, and Dr Chambers even performed surgery for one of them. Soon I’ll be bringing in my new cat to see them, too. They are incredibly thorough, and are always patient and informative when I start asking way too many questions. The reception staff is always very organized, helpful and great to talk to. It’s very clear everyone loves animals and their job. My own doctors office isn’t even as kind and caring as this team haha 10/10 would recommend! Can’t wait for the new renovated clinic!
had Dr. Chambers look at my blind bunny for the first time and she was very good! knows her stuff for sure.
Only buy my pups food here. Always friendly.
Excellent Warm, friendly and knowledgeable
The staff is amazing here. Very friendly and knowledgeable.
Royal Oak Pet Clinic has looked after our friend (cat) Oberon for the past four years. Dr. Chambers and the staff are very caring and we will always received excellent professional service. Our friend is now 18 years old and is requiring some extra care which we have appreciated from this clinic. Highly recommend to all pet owners.
They were great with my pet rat highly recommend
Even though I was pet-less, I had a family veterinarian whom I had a great relationship with and had been taking my pets to for over 10 years. I was a bit apprehensive when I decided to foster an adult dog with special needs because he already had a different veterinary clinic working on his issues. I work in the veterinary industry so I knew I could meet his needs, but a different Doctor and different staff members? During the initial settling in period everyone at Royal Oak Pet Clinic was friendly and helpful, but I was still unsure of how things would play out when it came down to the nitty gritty. I quickly realized my qualms were all for not! During any given conversation any staff member is able to go from “shop talk” on subjects I’m knowledgeable about, to regular explanations on topics I’m less familiar with. I always feel like I’m being heard and understood and that any changes to Charlie’s treatment plan are in his best interest, just as important though is that he’s always happy to go in and visit. As most foster parents do, the thoughts of adoption started sneaking in. Providing a long term home to a loving, gentle middle aged dog who would need constant veterinary consults, and a lifetime of medications was a no brainer. I had the love to give, the training to provide the care he would need, and most importantly I had found a group of amazing people who where just as invested in his well being as I am. Over a year later I’m proud to say that ALL of our hard work is paying off and he’s a normal, happy little guy!
They are lovely people here and very kind with me and my animals
Dr. Chambers is such a compassionate and caring individual. Our puppy is in the best hands when he is with her. However, I’ve deducted one star as I have no interest of seeing Dr. Grant again. Offering a highly biased and rather personalized opinion is highly unprofessional when only medical advice is requested by the patient. Her energy is cold and unwelcoming. Otherwise, we love this clinic and will continue to see Dr. Chambers.
Good emergency hospital and the only full service clinic. Expensive after day hours but open 24 hrs. 2 thumbs up for the staff.
I can't say enough about how much I trust and feel comfortable with Dr. Chambers and the team at Royal Oak Pet Clinic. Through two dogs and some pet rats I have only ever left feeling confident in the treatment, followup, and support they offer. Always available to help in some way, the team often goes above and beyond to attend to my pet's and I's needs. From the front end staff to the follow up calls form Dr. Chambers, I cannot recommend this team enough. (Shout out to Alisha at the front for always leaving me feeling better than I came during stressful times).
Dr. Angie Chambers was very informative and helpful, while also being very careful with my two cats. My oldest can be very finicky, squirmy, and hissy if messed with too much, but she handled him with care and patience, and never once needed to forcefully manhandle more than necessary to do the check-up! It's good to see someone able to put the extra work into making clients more comfortable.
