They took care of my cats, I got to brother's from cats cradle and they are affiliated with eachother so this vet took care of the needles and neutering. My only issue is when I called a few years later I asked to have a copy of there medical documents, I didnt get them, I'm not too happy about that.

This clinic had an incredibly nice atmosphere! I came here to buy food for my puppy, as they had a specific brand I was recommended, and I don't know why I hadn't come here before! It was very busy, but I was helped quickly and efficiently. The receptionist, Alex, was incredibly friendly and helpful; she made the visit very enjoyable! I will certainly be coming back here for all my future food and clinical animal needs!

This has to be the best Veterinary Clinic that we have ever taken our pet to and over the years with living on an acreage and having many pets we have encountered a lot of Vets. We took our very sick year old cat in to see Liz and within minutes she knew exactly what was wrong with him and took him on as an emergency. Liz managed to pull him through and get him on a healing path, and it was touch and go a few times but she is so passionate & committed. I have never experienced such dedication, she even came in at 11:30 pm each night to check on him. Without Liz's expertise we would not have Mr. T today. If you are looking for a compassionate and caring clinic for your pet Broadmead Village Veterinary Clinic is the best I have ever experienced. PS My son's Old English Bulldog wandered away one evening, we spent hrs looking for him concerned that he would be picked up or hit by a vehicle, after checking FB we found that someone from BVVC had found him wandering down the ramp to the highway, stopped and pick him up and took him back to the Vet's Clinic. Erik has Feline Asthma, is prone to urinary infections and has high anxiety and if it wasn't for the expert advice of Dr. Wilson our cat Erik would not be here today. They've been so kind and helpful with our two cats. We adopted a kitten who later was found to have parasites (and gave them to our other cat) and they were very helpful throughout her treatment. Our kitten needs eye surgery (she was missing an eye when we adopted her) and they've been very good about letting us know what the procedure will be like and how to prepare her for it and how to help her recover.

I have been taking my three cats to Dr Wilson for a few years now. Dr Wilson is brilliant, and is always so kind and gentle with them. The staff is lovely and I have no hesitation when I have to leave my animals in their care for procedures. I am always kept up to date with what is happening, and they fill my prescriptions so quickly (even though I know it can take up to 48 hours.) I am so thankful for Broadmead Vet Clinic and they have my business for a long time!

Wonderful clinic! Dr. Wilson always takes extra time to make sure my (very anxiety-prone) cat is comfortable during examinations. I have met with several other vets there who were all professional and caring. I always feel listened-to when I have concerns, and my cat has always received quality care!

I took my dog Azeet, to Dr Wilson when she was already becoming very ill , she had received two very different diagnosis from two other local vet offices, I was told she had everything from Worms at one vet to when the situation became worse and the hospital told me it was Kidney Failure, Kidney Cancer or even possible Kidney Disease and then came the over night blindness, Rani suggested I take her to Doctor Wilson , not only did she provide me with a far more realistic diagnosis , but treated her for it and within days of this first visit she showed signs of recovery she regained some of her sight and 4 weeks after this first visit she gained back 8 pounds and most of her sight , a happy 3 year old dog starting to relive the life she was almost deprived of. Azeet and my personal thanks go out to Dr. Wilson. To us she is a hero and so much more I would never recommend any other then her she proved she really cares about animals and understands their needs. Thank You Dr. Wilson for saving Azeets life !

I'll give 5 stars to out vet but one star for reception staff. They are openly rude, condesending and very judgemental. I always think twice before deciding to come in with my pet as I know the front desk experience will provoke a great deal of anxiety in both me and my dog. Its really a shame as the care here is excellent.

I have had 2 dogs served by Dr. Liz since 1998. She has competent staff and is an amazing vet. Very thorough and caring, she is cautious and prudent in prescribing meds and treatment. Highly recommend this clinic!

I started attending this clinic in 1998, we were happy with Dr Wilson a fellow Ontarian when she joined practice. So much so, we continued to use clinic despite living in Oak Bay and others areas over the years. Upon recent return to Victoria, we went back. Today I called to get a RX filled and was met with rude front desk staff Arlene. I was told it was 24-48 hrs for refill( unaware) I asked how long and was met with, “ I don’t sign RX the vet does”, fair enough, know this of course. Then was told “ I’m not interrupting the vet in an appt) which I had not asked, nor would expect. I live in Sidney and wanted to avoid two trips on a holiday weekend. I was told “ I’ll call you”. I drove home and attended the Sidney clinic across street from my house. They tried to get the Rx faxed to them so Buster would not be without his meds over weekend. I only buy special food from them BTW. That request was met with a snarky “it would be faster for her” to return to Broadmead when they “ call her”. Approx 20 mins later I received call from vet tech to say meds were ready. I then drove back to Broadmead in holiday traffic to pick up. There I was met with a scolding for asking Sidney clinic, the vet tech pointed out the 24-48 policy on the desk. ( side note you cannot request refills over phone unless you talk to staff) I spent hours on hwy only to be to be met with rude staff and condescending comments. I post this long review hoping Dr Wilson will appreciate how her staff has ruined a long time customer relationship and created a distressing avoidable experience. There are many wonderful clinics in area, I would AVOID this clinic and judging by the comments on here, my experience is not unique.

The staff communicate well with you and each other, and they know what they're talking about and exactly what their limitations are in terms of available services and cost management. The staff range at this clinic range from nice and helpful to rude and unprofessional. Bev, (who runs Cat's Cradle Rescue) who I believe is the manager of the clinic, is going to run this business into the ground single-handedly. When I called this clinic I was met with her nasty tone, unsympathetic attitude, and downright disrespect. I can't imagine if I had received that treatment if I was calling in regards to humane euthanasia or something life-threatening. According to friends who have been clients there, staff turnover is very high (I imagine this is due to the nature of their manager). I have heard good things about the vets, but I guess I will never be able to see if they are true as I will never bring my pet to this business. I will not deal with a business who treats customers and staff poorly.

A great, reality-based clinic that will do the right thing for your pet. Knowing these people and their level of care and education, I find it frustrating to see negative reviews by people who clearly don't understand precautions vs contraindications, couldn't define a covalent bond or any other aspect of chemistry, assume if a patient died during surgery that that means surgeons don’t help people, they ‘kill’ people, or think they themselves have the skill to determine if an injury would have "healed naturally” when staph or strep was suspected. Dr. Liz and staff are intelligent, knowledgeable, and will do the right thing for your pet.

I wasn't impressed with this clinic. The woman at the front desk was openly gossiping to me about another client and her dog, coming off quite rude and judgemental. The vet was kind and thorough but didn't introduce herself, I thought she was a tech the whole time. I have taken my dog elsewhere due to the unprofessionalism at the front desk.

Very disappointed in this vet clinic. Very rude and unprofessional front reception...they refused to send over necessary vet documents to my current vet, and on several occasions trashed talked other vet establishments in the area. I was also unimpressed with Dr. Wilson...she is not thourough during health exams, and misdiagnosed my dogs skin condition...would not recommend to anyone.

I don't normally write reviews but after reading the most recent negative review I feel I have to. I switched to the Broadmead Vet Clinic a few yrs ago after adopting a special needs cat (my youngest has Cerebellar Hypoplasia). The staff has always treated my cats with the utmost kindness and compassion. Dr. Wilson's knowledge about my cat's neurological issue is above and beyond and her suggestions for strengthening/re-rehabilitating exercises has meant she is living her best life. When my other cat needed several teeth pulled, they were amazing not only for the surgery itself, but for the post-op and follow up. Their professionalism and concern for animals is always evident. And while sometimes clients may not understand the rules/regulations of veterinary medicine (they are different than human guidelines-I can vouch for this as I have work in healthcare for almost 30 yrs) the staff at Broadmead Vet always do the best (within their scope and legality) for the animals even if that means inconveniencing the owners. I never question the care I get here and will continue to trust them with the lives of my fur babies.

Dr. Wilson and her team are wonderful. She’s never hesitated to consult other vets and specialists in order to give my dog the best care possible and allow me to make informed decisions (including tracking down info and emailing me). When I’ve had an urgent issue, Broadmead has been really accommodating and even stayed late to see him. My dog happily goes into the clinic, and her staff is always really good humoured and affectionate with him. Their prices are very reasonable. I’ve had referrals from her for both dental work for my dog, as well as a laparoscopic surgery, and my experience with both her recommended specialists were excellent. I trust her - she’s an old school vet and she and her team all clearly love animals. Super grateful for these people!

Dr. Wilson is a fantastic veterinarian. While her manner with people may be somewhat brusque, her manner with the animals, attention to detail, compassion, and care towards animals is extremely evident. Further, her knowledge far surpasses other vets that I have dealt with to the point that I am uncomfortable with how in the dark other vets seem in comparison. Her ability to explain the situation and diagnosis, course of treatment, and available options is clear and concise.

When our cat was spayed she would flip out if we tried to put any sort of cone on her and had licked at her incision while we were arranging for another solution. It looked irritated so we called and they got her in to see the vet the next day, gave her a checkup and prescribed a light antibiotic just in case, all for free! Great people, always very understanding and polite on the phone if you have questions and looking out for your pets best interests.

They botched my dogs spaying operation and left my dog in extreme pain. They made two incisions and denied it when I brought it to their attention. I also found the staff to be very rude when I calmly voiced my concerns. After having this terrible experience I have spoken with several others who have had similar encounters with this vet. For the sake of your pet STEAR CLEAR of these guys!
