Dr Emma and the amazing staff at Vetcetera have always been the only ones to take care of our 3 furkids. There no other group of people we would trust more with our pooches health and well-being. From regular check ups to a major dental procedure & most recently sugary to remove a tumour from our little puglet we've always felt at ease with these girls taking care of us. We couldn't be more appreciative & grateful for everything you guys do!!
Good people who have the best interests of your pet at heart.
Dr. Emma and staff are compassionate, professional and the kindest of animal lovers that strive to make you and your pet's experience with them the best that it can be. They are experts in their field and will go above and beyond for you and your pet. I honestly have been to other veterinary clinics over the years and have never felt more at home with Emma and her staff. Keep up the great work guys! You're a cut above the rest! Love everything about Vetcetera and my pet's health care team!
We have been taking our animals here for years. All staff extremely professional and kind. Would recommend above all.
Efficient, compassionate, love your pets as much as you do
I've tried out many vets in the city and this was my final stop. The people here really care for your pets well being. My dog Ico doesn't get scared to come here because they're all so nice, he's always got a tail wagging coming in!
No matter how many times I go to and have gone to Vetcetera Animal Hospital, our experience (mine and my furry family friend) has been a positive experience. Dr. Emma is always caring and understanding of all situations. Sometimes it can be an upsetting experience however she and her staff do all they can to ease your mind and to make your pet as comfortable as possible. She and her staff are experienced and offer great educational tools so you better understand any issues your pet may be having. Keep up the great work!
I love my vet, Dr Raghavan. She is extremely thorough, gives you all your options and truly wants the best for my pet. She never cuts corners, and always practices gold standard medicine. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dog.
Our family has been going to Vetcetera for more than 10 years now. We can't say enough about the amazing staff and the care they have given our pets. Our concerns are always addressed professionally and with true compassion.
Our pug requires lots of attention and he is well loved and cared for by Dr Emma and her team. Highly recommend!!
Professional and clean. However, it's quite pricey and the staff makes you feel like a bad pet owner even if you do a lot for your pet.
All of the staff at Vetcetera is very welcoming. I believe that they have fostered the perfect balance between friendly and professional. Going into the office isn't like going into any other vet that my family has seen. I was thrilled with my first experience at Vetcetera, and have never been disappointed since. I especially appreciate how much time Dr. Emma is willing to spend with each pet (and their owners). I always have a lot of questions, but she is happy to answer them, and does so in a supportive, humorous, and informative fashion. It's also very helpful that the staff encourages owners to call with questions or concerns. I appreciate all of their advice, and the time and energy they spend on their clients. I've recommended Vetcetera to my close friends (with great results), and I highly recommend them to anyone currently without a vet, or anyone who is feeling uncomfortable with their present veterinarian. You and your pet will both be well cared for.
The staff at Vetcetera are very friendly and helpful. I have been taking my cat there for a number of years and we are very happy with them. They make you feel right at home. When I fist started taking Tippi there, we were both welcomed with open arms. Dr. Emma is very good at what she does and has gone that extra mile for us, which is a big plus in my books. It's always nice when I walk in the door and they greet me by name and ask me how I am doing.
We bring our cats here. They are friendly and compassionate.
Vetcetera staff and Dr Emma - took amazing care of Swayze and solved issue why he stopped eating. Swayze is a diabetic cat so with not eating meant his sugars were completely out of wrack. Swazye stopped being social butterfly that customers at the dive shop were use to and he just wanted to sleep. Vetcetera asked a lot of great questions and got down to the root of the problem. This was my first visit with Vetcetera they gained a new customer!!! A very cool connection was Vetcetera use to be at our dive shop's location at 1440 Bedford Hwy. We had always heard how amazing Dr Emma was!! If your looking for a vet please call them!!!
All the staff are super friendly and helpful!
Staff are great and very knowledgeable.
I moved to Nova Scotia 9 months ago with my obese diabetic kitty, Tank. The staff are superfriendly, and the office doesn't smell like a vet (all mediciney-plus-litterboxy). Within 3 months, Dr. Emma had Tank down to 1/3 the insulin and on his way to a healthier weight. My previous vet didn't offer any of the suggestions and support that Dr. Emma did, just kept upping the insulin dose. Tank is much more playful and happy now! VERY impressed with Vetcetera!
Absolutely disgusting experience with this vet, my 5 year old cat ended up passing away! We took him to the vet cause he was not eating and having liver problems and was yellow all over! We got there after being told he was going to need to be hospitalized we agreed to it and paid 635 dollars to vetcetra and 600 to metro emergency. He had no diagnosis but dr Emma suspected (Fatty Liver) we were told it was treatable, after having dr Emma continuously avoid my question of if he was going to survive or not, she kept refusing to answer saying its treatable. The next day we get a call saying we have to spend another 500 dollars on him to stay with vetcetra all day cause he was still sick, we agreed! So after spending close to 1800 dollars, he isnt even getting better at all and in worse shape then he left in. He's howling and crying in pain won't come out of hiding. We followed every thing exactly as told and still he ended up passing away. So we took him to a emerg vet a different one and found out he was misdiagnosed and had kidney and liver failure and cancer and was going to die anyways. So we spend almost 2000 dollars to find out our cat was going to die! All because vetcetra didn't do their job as a veterinarian to help our cat and a week later we lost him! Never going back to this vet again.
This is the only place I will take my animals! I take both my cats and my new dog here, and have been doing so for years now. They are so friendly and personable, and we are always greeted so warmly when we enter. They even remember us and our pets which we of course appreciate! Dr. Emma and her staff are very professional and knowledgeable. They are extremely thorough and never make you feel rushed. It's obvious that they genuinely care about each and every animal they treat as if they were their own pet. I highly, highly recommend taking your pet here. You will not be disappointed and your pets will be treated like family. You can take comfort in knowing they are in the best possible hands!
Vet siad to brush his teeth,
My first experience walking through the door of Vetcetera was how clean the place is.You would never know you were in a animal hospital. The staff are kind and caring and we immediately got a warm feeling that this was the right place for our dog who has diabetes. Dr Emma is also caring. knowledgable and a trustworthy doctor who provides outstanding treatment. She always explains everything and provides options. Vetcetera is the best animal hospital in Halifax...
Very nice staff, efficient services, free coffee!
Dr Emma is so caring for our pets and explains things in a way that are really easy to understand. One of our cats was sick and the staff called regularly to check in to make sure that everything was going well.
Vetcetera is the ONLY place I will and can take my peterbold queen. They are the best.
No better place in the city for vet services - from a Great Dane
My dog actually enjoys going to the vets! The staff make such a fuss of him ????
Of all the veterinary clinics I have experienced, Vetcetera was the best. My pet's care was always the main priority. They created a safe and comfortable environment for all the pets that come their way. The entire team is fantastic!!
Dr Emma has been our family vet for our 6 cats since I moved to Bedford 9 years ago. Her whole team is professional, caring, compassionate, and know us by name. We've since moved to Hammond's Plains, but wouldn't consider finding a vet closer. I can't recommend this team enough.
The staff here are second to none. I've been going there for almost twenty years and the care and attention my pets have received is always great. If you take their advice, you and your pets will have a long and healthy relationship.
I had a very different experience at Vetcetera. My dog is a rescue and has only one eye. I got home at around 4:30 p.m. on a Friday afternoon in the fall to find that his eye was really red with a lot of discharge. I tried to take him to my vet but the doctors had already left for the day. So, I tried to take him to Vetcetera. First, I didn't realize that the front door is actually the door to the surgery area and I walked right in (it wasn't locked). A vet was there speaking with the owners of an animal who obviously was receiving care. The vet politely but firmly told me I was in the wrong place and to go to the side door. I felt very awkward about that the whole thing and found myself apologizing and backing out. I went around to the side door. When I entered, there was a very charming man leaning against the counter talking to the vet technician about his cat. They were having a long and very friendly conversation. I stood and listened and listened and listened. When she finally asked if I had an appointment I said no and I tried to explain what was happening but she did not appear to be interested in my dogs plight. She told me she would be with me shortly and continued her conversation with the charming man. When I started to get impatient she told me that if it was an emergency I could take him to the Emergency Clinic, which I did.
Great clinic, always have our dogs best interest in mind. So friendly towards all animals .
Great place, caring staff, polite and prompt, professional service. And they have pet-sitting kennels!
They are wonderful. Dr. Emma is sweet and even called to check up on Bjorn after his emergency.
Although I work at the clinic, I was a client here first so this for me is the only place I would take my furry family members to be cared for. I see it from both sides and am impressed every time I come into the clinic either to work or to bring in a fur critter. Dr. Raghavan has looked after all the orphans that have been part of our Pick of the Litter Society rescue organization over the years and we thank her for her compassionate care for even the tiniest of orphans.
My dog cut his foot badly which involved a trip to the emergency clinic late on a Sunday night. The staff at Vetcetera where very helpful and regularly squeezed us in to check his foot . I was not charged for these checks that were for my peace of mind. I am very grateful for all of them and am completely confident in their abilities.
My wife and I have been clients of Vetcetera since returning from out-of-province in 2008. We have always found the entire staff to be friendly and helpful. Over the years they have celebrated the exciting furry new additions to our family, and were there for us when we had to say a few goodbyes. We are so glad they are right around the corner!
I first visited Vetcetera when my dog was a puppy and she just turned 14 years old! My partner and I have three dogs who've had various health issues (sometimes complicated) throughout the years. Dr. Raghavan and her staff have always been there for us. I trust their professional and personal opinions 110%. They show such care and compassion everytime we visit - whether it's to pick up monthly meds or to have surgery!! I'm a dog owner, dog lover and professional dog walker and love that I have such a strong and connected 'team' at Vetcetera that I can rely on for all of my 4-legged needs! My first (and second!) recommendation for a Vet is and has always been Vetcetera. Shannon Halifax, NS
