Truro Veterinary Hospital is the #1 place to go for all your pets' health needs. Dr. Gwen and her staff are wonderful and treat your pets as if they were their own. I would not take my own pets anywhere else and leave with my concerns at ease. If you become a regular, the staff knows your name as well as your pet's, even if you are dropping in to pick up pet food, the staff asks how your pet is doing, let you know if next check up is either due soon or over due, call you to follow up when any surgery or prescriptions/treatments have been given. Truro Vetinary staff are passionate to ensure not only your pet, but will inquire about how you are making out as well. There is free parking and wheelchair accessible. Shout out to Wiggles (in house feline they rescued and treated, then adopted into the family) and my condolences in Loving Memory of Victor, who was also a rescued cat who became a well known and dearly loved family member & mascot ambassador. I highly recommend Truro Veterinary located on Arthur Street, Truro.

I was at Truro Vet yesterday to have my ferret euthanized. Both the receptionist and the vet (Dr. Jessica) were very compassionate and did everything they could to make the process as easy on me and my ferret as possible. Everything from a box of tissues and a cup of tea, to giving me the procedure room to myself for a while so I could cry. I will definitely be taking my pets here in the future. As awful as it was to let my ferret go, it was made so much easier thanks to the amazing staff.

Great vet clinic. Staff are friendly and informative. The vet answered all my questions in a good amount of detail and let me know all the possibilities! My dog has social issues and they had patience with my dog so that she could get comfortable with them! They also gave me many tips and tricks to help my dog with her social issues. This was by far the best vet experience I have had in a long time! Well worth the money.

This is the best Veterinary hospital we have ever seen. We needed to get our puppy checked and they where able to fit us in there busy schedual. Valerie and Melissa where amazing as well as all the staff. Very knowledgeable and caring. They made the experience memorable for the kids and there new Jack Russell puppy. I received a call this morning to see if all was ok with our little Charlie. Not to mention the price was more than reasonable!!! Wow keep up the amazing work...

This place is amazing. The staff are wonderful, very accommodating and attentive to the animals. They clearly love what they do and have always taken amazing care of my kitties when I take them here. When my cat Tobi died, they were very empathetic. We got a sympathy card. Their prices are a little higher than a few other vets I've been to, but the way the vets and technicians handle my pets makes it worth it. They even call after appointments to check up on animals. I love them. I will never use another vet clinic for as long as I live in Truro.

Have always used Truro Vet for my pets. They love animals and treat them very well. During COVID-19 they have all safety measures in place but unfortunately for me it means waiting outside for my appointment. Expensive but not excessively so compared to other vets.

I would like to take the time to thank the truro veterinary hospital for all the wonderful help during our hard times. We had to make the horrible decision to uthanize our little beloved kitty Henry Jacob due to a spinal issue at the young age of only 10 months it was hard but with the help and heartfelt caring words we were able to make that unselfish decision. Not only were they caring but also sent us some of his fur, 2 paw prints, a beautiful poem and a wrote out sympathy card signed by the staff, as well as my favorite thing which was a donation to help homeless kitties that need help. They knew Henry was a rescue kitty from a barn and we tried to show him love as much as we could. I loved my little buddy and I still cry about him and prob always will but with the help of staff there it was and is easier. Thank you Truro Veterinary Hospital you are by far the most caring place for anyone to bring their animals

September 2011 we became new parents to an adorable golden retriever baby boy. We needed to find him just the right vet . We went searching and quickly realized the vet we chose was not going to be a good match for us OR him. I didn't have a comfort level at all that he was going to have the best care he could, so off we go again looking for just the right place. I called Truro Vet and talked to two different ladies for over half an hour. I immediately knew this was going to be the place our boy would get the best care ever. They took to him like he was their very own, and he took to them just as well! They love him so much. They truly care about his health and well being. I have total faith that EVERY single person in that clinic would go to the ends of the earth for our boy. They ALL stop what they are doing when he walks in and play right on the floor with him, and make US feel like we are just as important. When we drive by the clinic, he shakes with excitement and cries. Its amazing he knows where we are. If we pull in he goes bananas!! I knew this was going to be a happy place for him, not a place of fear and stress right from the first visit. Our doctor is PHENOMINAL. I trust her judgement completely. She always goes above and beyond where his health is concerned and I feel so at ease with her. She takes all the time in the world with us, and I ALWAYS have a list of questions for her. She never rushes us, never pushes us, or pressures us, just guides us in what works from her experiences. We love our dog so much so it makes us so happy when other people love and appreciate him for who he is, and every single girl, right from the receptionists, to the vet techs, to the girls behind the scenes, to our doctor all love him...almost as much as we do! When we needed to find a new food for him because his old one wasn't working for his system, I called the clinic. Their knowledgeable nutritionist spent 45 minutes talking with us about the best food that would work for him, and all about the good and bad of the ingredients, all the information I needed about the plants where it is made. I switched to the food she recommended and he has never been healthier. Shiny, clean coat, good energy...the total package. So, long story short....... I will NEVER choose another vet clinic. Every single girl that works there absolutely LOVES their job and it shows. I wish OUR health care was half as good as our boys' health care is

Dr Gwen and her team came to our rescue when my older dog became sick suddenly while we were on vacation. It was late afternoon and he wasn’t their patient, but they cheerfully agreed to see him. They immediately put us in a comfortable room with a soft blanket on the floor for him and Dr. Gwen saw him within a minute of arrival. She was very thorough and caring and all the staff were kind. She was able to get him feeling better; what a relief! I am so incredibly grateful for their help.

I had been purchasing Royal Canin Dental for my cats here, I was charged $48 per bag for 1.5kgs. I have been able to purchase the EXACT same food at East River Veterinary in New Glasgow for $22. They have been overpricing and pushing items on customers under the guise that this is what your pet needs, and that they have low prices. Don't fall for it.

The staff here are amazing. I always bring all my cats here. They are friendly and honest. Their prices for the care and time are worth it even if you can get it $20 or $50 off somewhere else. They follow up with you after any surgery and offered me a free follow up appointment when my cat had dental work done. On top of this, none of my cats are ever stressed coming or going.
