The team at Tantallon Vet is just lovely. The booking process was easy and quick. The clinicians and doctors were constantly communicating with me and making sure my kitty was well taken care of. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Great service by all three different vets I have seen there thus far. My dog gets better health care than I do! Admin staff are great to deal with also.

Very friendly and professional. Very responsive to inquires and they truly care about our loved ones. Excellent service and communication. They always follow up in person before and after appointments and do not hesitate to get out of their way to help. I my puppy and kitty are lucky to have such care ????

First visit Referred by a coworkers Clean premises, friendly knowledgeable staff and on time. Simple Already suggested to a relative looking for a place.

I am seeing some positive changes with new management. Previous to this I felt the staff was still caring, but constantly trying to upsell. Veterinary products and services are expensive to most of us. I appreciate good Information for what actually IS needed, and what is “extra”.

My 3 month old kitten presented with diarrhea. She was tested and found to have Giardia. We treated her and it didn't clear up. We were advised to get her tested again and it came back positive. More medicine for her and our 6 month old kitten. She still had issues. We were advised to get special Gastrointestinal food at $60 a bag. We did. The issue continued. We were advised to get her feces tested again ($30 each time) and it came back positive for Giardia again. The vet "called in a favour" to consult with one of her professors at the Veterinary College in PEI and learned that our cat likely had another parasite that could only be tested for in Ontario at a cost of $200. He also advised not to treat the Giardia as she was likely just expelling it from her system. Which means all the other fecal tests and 2nd round of medicine was likely not necessary. I am now on the hook for all those fees plus another $200 for this test and possible cost for treatment. If they had known their stuff in the first place I could have used the funds I spent on unnecessary treatments to pay for this test. I've expressed my concern at every turn and they did try to accommodate, but I wonder where we'd be if I had just gone along with their advice each time without pushing for a better answer. My cat would have been given more medication she didn't need.

(Translated) The dean of the doctor was patient and answered various questions carefully. The cat surgery was very successful. When I came back at night, I was alive and well, and the price was right. Very satisfied! (Original) 医生院长很有耐心认真解答各种问题,猫咪手术很成功,晚上回来就活蹦乱跳了,价格也合适。十分满意!

I’ve been taking all my pets to see Dr. Lang and her fellow colleagues for a number of years without any issues . The staff always take very good care of my doggies and do whatever they can to make their vet visit pleasant . I made the mistake of going to a different vet out of connivence , what a mistake that was ! Never again. Tantallon is the vet for my fur babies hands down????

Robyn Kenny

Staff were extremely friendly and explained the options to me. When the examination was complete the vet discussed the treatment with me. Although the COVID protocols were in place, the appointment went very smoothly

Shanelle Topp

Wonderful staff! I had my kitten in for a routine booster and exam and the vet was lovely and took her time to ensure that all of my questions and concerns were addressed. I did not feel as though I was being rushed at all. I would definitely recommend this clinic to any pet owners!

Holly Makary

This place is printing money. Very expensive for procedures compared to the other 2 good vets nearby.st Margaret bay vet is much better and so is the Hammond plains vet.

Andrea Cavicchi

We've been really happy with this clinic and have brought our two dogs, cat and hamster here. It's always clean and friendly, easy to make an appointment because they have lots of evening hours and test results are always in quickly, due to their on-site lab. They also give follow-up calls to see how treatments are going. We've been able to get a written quote of costs before agreeing to any specific treatment and their small animal vet is amazing, very caring. He welcomed my daughter's hamster like a part of the family and, even she passed away of old age, they sent us a card. Is the clinic cheap? No, but neither is going to veterinary college or running a business, so I think that's to be expected. I would say their prices are fairly comparable from what I've seen.

I had my puppy vaccinated here for his second vaccine. Two days later he stopped eating and drinking so I took him back here to get him checked. They said he was probably sore from vaccine and gave him pain killers and an injection of Cerenia, with a couple doses to follow. They did not take his temp. When I left I took his temp and it was 40.8. I called the vet back and the receptionist told me to call back at 5 and let them know what his temp was. I said that was not acceptable and that I was bringing him back. She huffed and said just a minute and put me on hold. Dr Penny came on the line and proceeded to tell me that a 40.8 temp was "really no big deal", the same vet who told my cousin that her dog probably had cancer, and when a second opinion was sought out, it is not cancer at all!!!! I immediately called Hammonds Plains Vet and they took my dog right away. They were very concerned with his temp and his swollen joints on his front paws which the other vet did not even see. My puppy is on the mend now, thankfully due to the kind and compassionate care provided by Dr Will, and Dr Emily at Hammonds Plains Vet clinic. The reception staff at Tantallon vet hospital are rude and very unprofessional. Shame on you for being huffy with a client whose concerned with their animals well being. Dr Penny should not be practicing . Showing no compassion for an animal with such a high fever, telling me it's no big deal as I watch my dog shaking with fever. Shame on you Dr Penny. I would never recommend this establishment.

The Tantallon Veterinary Hospital is close to where I reside. It is a clean establishment. The Veterinary service is impeccable and extremely talented. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable and professional.

We've used the services at this Veterinary Clinic for many years to look after our family of cats, we've always been very well looked after by all the staff and wouldn't hesitate in recommending them and their services

Paula Boutilier

We received a call from Dr.Penney regarding our beagle Shadow. It means so much to have a vet that genuinely cares enough about their patients that they take the time to call and follow up on how treatment has been going. This means the world to us and we are ever so thankful. We have recommended this vet to our friends and will continue to do so. Thank you for caring like you do. All the staff there are the best and make you feel like you matter to them.

Hilary Newton

My dog had HGE my own vet told me at 9 am that I could not have an appt until 330 He would have possibly died by then I drove to Tantallon and they took us in right away Dr Emily and Dr Heather are amazing I highly recommend

Michel Levesque

Very professional On time and reasonably priced No problem recommending this clinic.

Ramón Filgueira

Not the best experience. They try to schedule as many appointments as they can. $$$$

eric racine

Worst place ever !! They love money way more than your pet. They will say anything just to make you pay for additional services and meds. We paid $1700 for a surgery that turned out to be useless. Tried to sue them but the Vet's Association ruled on their favour. Hope that place shuts down soon

Alex Brennan

Great Vet clinic! Always friendly and they genuinely care about the animals they care for. Been going here for 5 years and won't be changing any time soon!

Steven Shortt

All of the above. What a terrific team of personable, caring and professional people. They have a great system of operation and conduct it with genuine caring. Highly recommended .

Kitty Richardson

Very nice vet and staff ! Me and my cat felt very comfortable ! I will always go to this vet because their amazing

Donna Fardy

I have brought our two dogs, a cat and a few bunnies to Tantallon Veterinary Hospital for years and have never been dissatisfied! It is so obvious how much they love the animals we place in their care. And SO convenient - open 7 days/week and evenings! I can always reach someone by phone or email if I have a question or concern. Highly recommend trusting your beloved pets to this team!

Chris Foreht

These people are scary. Their concerns are money over your animal. They have an amazing business model, quite clever in fact. Their banker and accountant will be pleased, but their success comes at a cost to animals and pet owners. Their model is simple. Build an annuity (an ongoing income). Their goal in each visit is to put your pet on a medication plan. Quarterly, monthly, and if they can find things to justify for daily doses, they pounce. Again, very clever. If they can get 40% of their clients on some sort of plan, they start each month with a significant guaranteed minimum income before they even see an animal. Another clever tactical strategy in their business plan is their insistence on unnecessary appointments. Here again, not only do they capture a visit fee, it creates a new opportunity to sell you a recurring prescription. I'm not at all suggesting they prescibe medication dangerous to your animal, I suggest they like to prescibe unnecessary medication knowing it's harmless to your pet. After just seeing and diagnosing your pet, if you call, their answer is always "bring her in". Our new vet, BTW, will ask questions over the phone, then say "ok, do this...". He provides immediate relief for our pet and peace of mind for us. Specific Examples: Dr Heather insisting on shots only to admit later it's for a parasite not even in Nova Scotia. Dr Karen is the worst of all. If you've ever been to a time-share sales experience, you will relate to an experience with Dr. Karen. She took a skin scraping for analysis. The entire time we are waiting for results, she is high pressure selling on a treatment plan (initially $600, then $125/month for LIFE). I spent the entire time reminding her she doesn't have the results back yet, doesn't know what it is, and is being premature selling a plan for life on an 11 month old puppy. Scrapings came back, she loaded me up with 4 meds, 2 of which we found later were unrelated to our puppy's illness and were totally unnecessary. Having paid over $300 in treatment with no results, my wife went to see Dr. Karen. Karen says "bring her in" and starts saying all she would do in the visit. My wife stopped adding up and stopped listening once Karen got up to $400 in tests without once discussing healing our pet. We went to another vet. The entire vet visit, including treatment, was less than $100. What's more, we left with a treatment plan which is working and have a happy 11 month old puppy we finally can trust is in good hands. UPDATE: Thank you for your response. Reality is this was our experience at every visit, not just the last one. We have more examples, such as when we brought our 4 year old in-perfect-health cat in for shots. Dr Karen spent her time telling us how much pain the cat is in (which he was not) and that we need to have surgery to remove his teeth. But not to worry, we can discuss implants next. Thank you again for your response. We are satisfied now with 3 healthy and cared for animals

They always charge you for more. Had my cat getting nutter and even if he is an indoor cat. .. they want you to put a chip in him.. 65$ more without other things that i tottaly refused....than asked to have him watch over while I was away for a week.. will cost 100$ more than anticipated... telling me he needs all his vaccines... witch he HAD!!!! With prouf!!! at 5 weeks old. ..not good enough he need a booster of all previous vaccines and also rabbies shot for staff protection ... again indoor cat who lives with 2 children and a dog....I did asked why now and not when he was getting nuttered has they also needed to take care and handle him.... didn't had an answer to that other than "well 25 reported cases of rabbies in PIE". . What about NS?????? For indoor cat???? so just an heads up. .. unless you like to spend on your cat and dog more than you do on your child.. good place to be .. for us it's a last time... if I am expecting a price that they are telling me originally... Thats what I plan on... not 100$ over for stupid things every single time I need their services.. I do love our animals and dpnt mi d to spend for the health bit with a limit.. but next time I am planning to have our neighbors daughter to help and prefer to pay her instead of paying them.

The staff is friendly, the puppy packs they have for your pup is excellent. I never had trouble getting my pup in when she needed a vet immediately as many other vets refused her. I highly recommend Jamey she’s an excellent vet and always gave me good information on any questions I had always recommended what was best for my pup but most of all she’s been very good with my puppy. Thank you Jamey and your team for the excellent service for Nyla. ❤️

I've had great experiences here. I see below others complaining of over selling and pushy people. Not true in my case. Do you understand this is a business? They are not a charity. How about listening to their opinions and making your decisions? Would you question your own doctor like that? Your lawyer like that? No. See you next time kittie needs some TLC. ????

Trace Ward-Hackett

First and foremost Dr. Emily is a fantastic vet. I have remove my Animals as patients from this vet hospital as a direct result of the owner operator and veterinarian Heather Mosher. Unfortunately over the years she has become very money hungry and will do unnecessary procedures to make a buck. Watch out for how many teeth she tells you your dog needs to have removed this is a money grab. Another very well-established vet told me my dog had tartar on one tooth she told me she wanted to remove all of the teeth let it be known that she couldn’t even get the dogs mouth open so she had no idea and was just looking for the money. The other vet gave me suggestions for the one tooth with tarter that would remove the tarter within about four weeks – that being raw bones with the Marrow removed as my dog had pancreatitis in the past. I have never minded paying for my animals care; I do mind when a veterinarian is so obvious that they are all about the money that it makes me sick to my stomach. The other vets at this practice are all very good and seeing as how they are not the owners obviously they do not set the prices. In my experience Dr. Heather Mosher is all about the money and her new kick of removing all teeth from all dogs even when unnecessary. Her obvious greed and lack of compassion for the animals at this point has led me to take my business elsewhere not because I am too cheap but because I want a vet that actually cares about my animal. I cannot in good faith support her business which is unfortunate as the other vets are very very good and compassionate.

Dennis Titcombe

Always great to deal with. They really care about the animals!

I took my cat here yesterday for the first time and they went above and beyond for him. I got an appointed quickly and he was treated and operated on immediately. I got a follow up call today to check on how he was doing and I felt they truly cared. I was very impressed with the service and will definitely be back with my other cat and two dogs.

Everyone is very friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Our fur babies have always had great treatment here.

We recently adopted our new kitten Henry from the Tantallon Veterinary Hospital. This week, Henry had his first examination and vaccinations. My husband and I were so pleased with Dr. Emily Poynter and the way she cared for our pet, as well as making sure that we had no questions about anything related to our new kitten. After we left, we found ourselves raving about the service we received from every one at the clinic. Not only was Dr. Poynter fantastic, but the rest of the staff was exceptional as well. Everyone seemed happy and truly enjoyed their job. This is a clinic that we are extremely lucky to be able to bring our pets to.

Jamie Soucy

I have nothing but good things to say about our experience at the clinic. All the staff have been great especially Dr. Emily and Dr. Heather. When we lost Bruiser the compassion and care was overwhelming.

My 13 year old dog required some dental work which would require surgery. I had known about her poor teeth (understatement) for some time but had always been nervous to put her under for surgery. When the time came and we had no option, the team at Tantallon Vet were wonderful in diagnosing the issue and explaining the procedure to me. They were able to fit her in for surgery quickly and included me in the process along the way. The staff was very personable and made me feel very comfortable with the entire experience. Thank you to Dr. Lang and the entire team!

Dr Andrus is awesome! My kitty is very leery with most people, but she is cooperative and does not fuss at all when Dr Andrus handles her. I will always bring our cats back to Dr Andrus.

Gentle care with our senior dog. Patient with all of our questions. Willing to take the time helping us understand the plan of care and reason for a particular treatment.

I trust that I will get good care for my dog. They listen to my concerns and recommend just what is needed to keep her healthy and happy.

From only one visit: Extremely impressed with Dr Emily Poynter. I don't know the other vets. Some of the staff are great, a couple are less accommodating, though all are efficient. Dr Emily Poynter is extremely thorough, very knowledgeable, caring and kind, really good with my dogs - they take to her right away, did not try money-grab but was quite thoughtful, is very good at explaining, very respectful of people and dogs, and just a really good and nice person. I believe she will be consistently nice in the future so I'm giving her a full 5-stars. Lots of parking at this facility too and the location is ideal. The negative comments about her below were from people who gave negative comments for EVERYBODY so I don't give them any credibility. Google really should weed out and ban people like that.

The staff were warm and friendly and the service was excellent..I moved to Tantallon early December, have a rescued cat and in Fredericton challenges to get his nails cut..the staff cut his nails in less than 10 minutes and he was not overly stressed with the procedure..a first!

I have been taking my dog here since he was a puppy for his routine checks etc and up until today was more than happy. Just before Covid 19 kicked off I had taken him in for his Lepto vaccine which I paid for and he had the first of 2 injections. He was meant to go back for the final injection but due to Covid restrictions and high risk family members in my household I called today to arrange to take him and was told that the time to have his second injection had expired and we would have to start over. I said that I presume there is no charge to start over to which the girl was rude and said we would have to pay again. I said how I do not think I should pay and I should maybe take my business elsewhere. She just simply bidded me farewell.

Been taking our cat to this Vet for a long time ,they always are very good to my cat he has passed now but we have a kitten we are taken there. The kindness they showed him helped put him & me at ease. The place is always clean & staff are friendly & knowledgeable, thank you for taking good care of my babies.

I’ve been bringing my pets to see Dr Andrus since we moved home in September. Before we moved home we adopted a Northern Dog and Dr Andrus has helped diagnose and treat his pain related to tooth decay and gun shots!! Although these interventions are expensive, Dr Andrus is very reasonable and honest and up front about what her services entail. She’s kind, approachable and no nonsense. Occasionally you’ll run into a vet who is definitely in it for the money - this has not been our experience. When Dr Andrus realized that the source of our dog’s pain was old buckshot and a 22 bullet I thought she was close to either crying or raging in disgust - I felt so supported and that she was truly invested in my pet’s well being.

My cat Pekoe had a blockage in her intestines. They acted quickly and were so very kind and caring. I’ll never forget how they saved her life.

We have been going to Tantallon Veterinary hospital for a few years now. I have a 10 year old Rottweiler (who absolutely hates the vet) and they always make us feel so welcomed. We also have three cats and we just got the last one fixed. The team was amazing and have made themselves available to answer and and ALL questions that I have. I can’t recommend these guys enough. Thank you so much for your continued support.

Carla Bezanson

This is hands down the best experience I’ve ever had with a vet. They are truly caring and want what’s best for your pet without trying to gouge you in any way. We took our cat for a surgery and it was much cheaper than we were quoted at other places. They also called to follow up many times to see how he was doing, and when we had concerns post-op they provided a complementary check up and asked for photos to see how he was doing. I truly would not bother reading any more reviews and just go here. You can’t do better.

AnneMarie Comeau

We had great service from the staff and vets at this clinic. We would recommend anyone to take their pet to this clinic. The front staff absolutely love every animal who enters and are very helpful, the tech's are top notch and caring. The Vets will do whatever is required to help your pet feel much better.

Kenney Difford

We took our beloved cat Nookie there today, and unfortunately the outcome was a very sad one for my wife and I. But I cannot say enough about how sympathetic the doctor and all the staff was for us. They all went way above and beyond to help us cope. Thank you for making this very difficult time a bit easier.

Jessie Annis

My Dog has had 2 surgeries here and they are awesome my dog loves to visit, we will return for his next surgery they always go above and beyond thank you

Leanne Dobbs

We were new to Nova Scotia and took our Billy to see the vet for a check. He is older and had always had the same vet back home. The Doc and team were amazing, kind and very gentle. I have had to take him back again for an ear infection and once again the team was wonderful. They even call to check up after immunizations , i was impressed. Very happy and felt at home which was so important being so far away from our previous home and places of comfort.

Brandon Gouchie

We have had fantastic care at the Tantallon Veterinary Hospital. We have had great service from all the staff, but Dr. Will Hoskin has continually gone above and beyond for us and our dog. I highly recommend Dr Will Hoskin and the Tantallon Veterinary Hospital.

I implore you, to prevent the suffering of your pets, do not visit these charlatans masquerading as an animal hospital. I discovered today that our beloved dog, Mattie, has been suffering for 3 months from walking on a dislocated leg (radius separated from the carpus) after having been mis-diagnosed by the Tantallon Veterinary Hospital as having a “severe sprain” that would heal in about a month. After doing an x-ray (that has since been deemed worthless for its poor quality by other vets - there were no radiographic markers on any of the x-rays to indicate what bones or even which leg was pictured) the Tantallon Veterinary Hospital declared it negative and sent us on our way with painkillers and anti-inflammatories that did nothing to treat the fact that our beloved dog was struggling to cope with a dislocated leg bone. Three months later we have had a second x-ray done by a competent vet that shows clearly, even to an untrained eye, that the leg is dislocated. Our dog requires surgery. If it was left up to the Tantallon Veterinary Hospital she would have been left to suffer and deteriorate until she died. Informing Tantallon Veterinary Hospital of her continuing pain and deterioration received not one word of response (though they were more than happy to sell us more painkillers at an inflated price). Our family’s disgust with the greedy opportunists at the Tantallon Veterinary Hospital defies description.

Adopted two kitties from Tantallon Vet. The amazing experience led us to switch from our old vet clinic in Halifax to Tantallon. The staff are fantastic - very friendly, always excited to see our pets, and provide a great service. The Doctors we've seen have also been excellent. They take their time to do a complete exam, ensure any questions we have are answered, and always follow up with a phone call to check in to see how the pet's issues are. Couldn't be happier with our choice of vet. Well worth the short drive from Halifax!! I should also mention that I've had appointments before and during the COVID pandemic. Their COVID precautions have been excellent. Very happy! :) Thank you Tantallon Vet!!

I have been a customer of Tantallon vet for about 10 years now and my first 8 years of going here I couldn’t say enough good things, I passed on more verbal recommendations and probably significantly boosted their customer base not to mention the amount of money I’ve personally spent there over the years, as I have several animals and a lot of them have regular ongoing medical issues that cost me a lot of money. In the beginning, this vet was amazing and I had the general sense that they really cared about my animals and they used to try different things to help alleviate the financial stresses for me like charging half price for a follow up appt when it was for the same animal and condition and I just thought they were the greatest. In the last few years they’ve renovated, expanded and had some personnel changes and in my opinion the place has really gone down hill. Now they are extremely money hungry. I go in there now and they try to charge me for things I don’t need, full price for everything, even follow ups that take 10 min....full hour charge, and the Customer Service has gone terribly downhill....I’m not too sure where Bobby is these days but they should of held on to her! So I have done a complete 180 and I find myself telling people not to go there! And I now regret giving them all the business I have over the years. It’s very disheartening for me as I felt like I should’ve been treated better, especially as such a regular loyal customer who spent as much money as I have over the years, yet it seems like they really just don’t care, so I have been slowly pulling my animals out one at a time as I try to find a new vet. I know a lot of vets these days are money hungry and don’t actually care about your pet, but if that’s something that is as important to you as it is to me....don’t go to Tantallon!

Tammy Hubley

I want to express my thanks to everyone who helped us today to get through a very difficult time, our beautiful fur baby Abby passing away. You didn’t know our family or our girl yet you opened up your hearts and helped us through a very difficult time. Thank you for your compassion, your kindness and support. Thank you for taking care of our girl and for making sure she’s looked after. Our family is forever grateful! ???????? Doug, Tammy, Jayme & Josee Hubley

I went to Tantallon Vet Hospital for the first time the other day with my new Kitten. I had heard positive things about them so I decided to check them out. When I say I can not say enough good things about them it’s true! First off the vet called me before we went in, while my baby was in there and then came out after to talk even more. Every single person there was beyond friendly and the vet was so kind and caring but gave me so many suggestions and seemed so genuine. Not to mention their prices are BEYOND reasonable! They also called me a few days after to make sure she was doing well! I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely make it my one and only vet we will be seeing! Thank you to everyone there who made our first visit so amazing!

After my 26 years of dog ownership, and now having four bullie breed in my home, no one sees my pitties except Dr. MOsher! After surgery 2 months ago, the doc still asks how dumpling is doing.

By far, Dr Kathryn Butler is the best vet I have ever seen and I have seen so many. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring and more than anything else very compassionate. She truly cares about helping your animal recover. Her follow ups over the phone are so very much appreciated and very helpful. Anyone would be lucky if their animal sees her! I am so glad she helped my cat recover back to his normal self! The clinic itself has great staff and is always willing to see your pet on short notice appointments. I also adopted one of my cats here and couldn’t be happier! Marisa

We had a horrific experience with Dr. Penny (Penelope) at Tantallon Vet. After a 2 minute exam that we were unable to be present for (due to COVID), we were told our dog was in immense pain (he wasn't), had cancer, there was no point in operating, and he had a few months to live. Just like that. The conversation was completely unexpected and extremely insensitive. It was rushed, harsh, and completely uninformative. Aside from the short physical exam there was no actual testing for this diagnosis, as we were told the cancer had already spread and there was no point. We were told our only option was to put him on medication, which we had to pick up at the window, with no explanation of how the medication worked or what kind of side effects there are. A few days later we made the best decision ever to seek out a second opinion and the other vet was INCREDIBLE. He spent over an hour with me and my dog, examining him thoroughly and giving a detailed explanation of what he was seeing. He did testing during our visit and found no signs of cancer. We immediately started weaning our dog off the medication that had been previously prescribed. We found out that among a LONG list of horrible side effects, one major side effect was that our dog could become aggressive and dangerous -- something we weren't told even though it had been discussed that we had young children at home. The side effects from the medication would have killed him had we not got him off of it. Now, months later, he is thankfully still alive. He shows no signs of pain, has plenty of energy, eats normally, and is acting like a puppy again now that the medication is gone -- with no operations, procedures, or meds. After discussing our experience with others in the community, we've now heard multiple other experiences with the same vet where euthanization was presented as the only option but after seeking second opinions, their pets are still alive and have now recovered. I won't return to this vet and will let others in the area know that there are other vets in the community that are a much better choice when it comes to not only trusting the care of your pets, but having a much more humane experience for both the pet owner and the pet.

Awesome place to take your pet. Even though due to Covid restrictions we were not allowed in but could still see and smell how clean the place is. The staff are very friendly, helpful and caring. Even got a follow up call the next day to make sure our pup was doing well after his shots. I think we have found our new vet❤

I am from Ottawa and needed help to facilitate medication for my dog. They were very helpful and made the process pleasant. Much appreciated

They identified the issue with my elderly pet right away, they were fast kind and knowledgable.

We were impressed with treatment our dog received at this clinic. Examination and explanation of condition and treatment clear and concise. Cost itemized and explained .When we picked up our dog he had been given time to recover from procedure and in better condition than we had experienced with other vets.

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Jayme Erjavec. My cat became sick Monday morning and I brought him in to be looked at. It turned out he had a bladder disease and the hard end result was euthanasia. My cat was only four and was like a child to me. After the decision had been made I made a comment about how I wouldn’t have my cat to sleep on my pillow which Erjavec replied “You’ll probably have a better sleep.” There was no kindness, empathy or compassion from Erjavec during our time there or ANY of the other staff. After my cat had been euthanized the Dr. left the room immediately, leaving us, traumatized, and having to try and move our cats lifeless body back into his kennel as there was no offering of a box or blanket to put him in. The whole situation felt extremely cold and uncomfortable. I will NEVER go back, or recommend this vet to anyone I know.

I adopted my very first kitty from Tantallon Veterinary Hospital last year. I was immediately impressed with how easy the process was and the value I received for the adoption fee. It gave me piece of mind knowing his neuter, microchipping, and first vaccinations would all be covered. Since then, I have adopted a second kitten and yesterday had them both neutered. The communication from staff during and after the procedures, was second to none. They called me when the boys were out of surgery. They spent some time with me when I picked them up and went over any things I should do and what to expect. In the past 24 hours since I brought them home, they have texted, emailed, and called to check in and offer any support. Super, super impressed with how much they cared for my boys.

Sheila Barrett and Gracie (golden retriever) Very happy with the compassionate service and felt very comfortable with the welcome. I'm new to this veterinary group and am quite glad I heard about them from a friend. It seemed to be a thorough exam concerning Gracie's diarrhea problem and we're pleased.

These guys are great, I been bringing my 2 cats and dog for 5 years here and they are amazing with my pets. I would recommend Tantallon Vet to everyone looking for the love and attention our furbabies need and open on weekends and some evenings which is great but they are very cautious of covid and they take all precautions necessary.

The entire staff at Tantallon Veterinary Hospital are top notch. I have complete confidence that my pets get the best of care with these folks. The clinic is very clean and the prices are competitive.

Our fairly young cat is very ill. The vets and staff have been very responsive and king to her. I have been able to get her in to the clinic very quickly. We have been dealing two vets and they have both been quick to research and consult with specialists when needed. I would recommend this clinic to anyone!

I have been taking my Ollie boy there for years. the staff is wonderful and Dr. Moser is great! The prices are great and they have been very helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend them.

I just switched vets recently on a recommendation from a friend, and I'm glad i did that. Staffs there are friendly, caring, compassionate and extremely competent. The front desk was very patient. And the doctor explained things very clear to me. Although it's a little far away from where I live, I still willing to drive there for the great service.

We have been using this vet for a couple years now and I would recommend them to anyone. We recently had to deal with our cat getting cancer and they were very compassionate, told us every available option, the cost of each option and the possible outcome of each option. There was no pressure to make a sudden decision or pressure to pick any one option. This was in the summer, sadly our beloved Sookie is no longer with us as of a couple weeks ago. The Tantallon Veterinary Clinic were compassionate, caring and I thank them for their support and professionalism at such a difficult time as letting go of a fur baby. I would like to state that I've never been charged more than quoted, or told I needed anything without a reasonable explanation. I see another persons rating and review and I think it poorly reflects the reality of this vet clinic. I have 3 dogs, and had 2 cats. I've been to many vet clinics living in different cities and provinces. This clinic's prices I find are reasonable for their exceptional service.

So many bad experiences at this vet clinic. Went in once and they told my my animal "looked perky so must be fine" and gave me painkillers, we went into a second vet for another opinion the next night however by that time it was too late and he didn't respond to treatment, two days later he was dead. Sent my dog to the boarding kennel at this vets and when I came to pick him up he was limping so badly that for two days I had to carry him everywhere because he was in so much pain that he didn't want to walk. His pads were a bloody mess. Saying this I have heard people that highly recommend this veterinary hospital, however I personally will not be using them again.
