I took my german shepherd to Shirleen for needles. Stating before the apointment that she was a nervous dog... Needless to say she was unprofessional and ignorant. She told me within the first 5 minutes of meeting her that my dog was a liability, I was a poor pet owner, and many more terrible things which she had no idea of.Her way of stating her “worries” was in nothing but a run down manor. I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone.

Be careful as Shirleen Guest has dreadful boundaries, she talks about her personal life, on and on. She is intolerable to any ideas other than her own and did procedures that were totally unnecessary. I felt like she was trying to make money rather than give my dog the best possible treatment. If you look up her reviews from Ontario you will see this theme over and over again. Just look at the dog food she is selling, very low quality, full of corn and she was touting it as healthy and pushing it on to an elderly couple.

I took my baby girl Midge in for a check up, something was off. After exrays and blood work, we were all shocked to find her kidneys were compromised. I made the decision to put her out of her pain immediately. The Doctor and staff were just wonderful. It was such a horrific time but they made it as bearable as possible. I would recommend them to anyone.....

I have to say Shirleen , the Vet, was the Best Vet I’ve ever met! She She was very professional and compassionate at the same time. She came to our home and she took control and managed to sedate our Dog, K-Oss so she could take him to her Vet hospital and thoroughly check him over. What we thought was a broken leg turned oout to be Cancer.She gave us time alone to decide what to do next.Finding out the Cancer was eating his bones, was enough to make our minds up to have him euthanized. She gave us a room and time to say goodbye. I will be forever grateful to Shirleen for helping us during this terrible time. I will recommend her and her Welness Hospital for animals to everyone who needs a Vet ❤️????❤️

My Golden Retriever had been struggling with a congenital deformity and while we had managed the health issues brought on by the defect we knew that ultimately corrective surgery would be necessary. Living in Halifax I didn’t think it would be a challenge to find a veterinarian with the surgical skills and experience to perform the required procedure but, it was. Not wanting to have to travel to PEI for the operation, arrange for accommodations and then travel the distance back to Halifax with my dog post-op, I am happy to have discovered Dr. Guest when I did. Dr. Guest confidently assured me she was capable of performing the operation and was able to book us in immediately. Not only am I very happy with the outcome of the operation, I am especially happy with the support that was provided to me and my dog throughout the entire process, including the recovery period. I will continue to travel to Petite Riviere to have my dog’s veterinary needs looked after because not only did I receive skillful, personalized and attentive service, I received it at a much better price than I think I would have in the city.

We love this place. Nice spacious decor (although I keep wondering how they clean the tree - do they clean/dust the tree? ) in the middle of the room. Nice details like fresh warm pita bread, good Greek food. Friendly, respectful servers. A gem/oasis I in the Chain Lake Drive wasteland.

dr guest is an absolute angel. she responded to my panicked call on a long holiday weekend and completely talked me off a ledge. my dog had eaten a porcupine (or tried) and i thought he was going to die. she calmly assured me she would do everything in her power to save him. she coached me to her office and ultimately saved his life (and mine!). she also identified other issues with our dog while she treated him for quill trauma, including lyme disease, and allergies. she sent us home with new food, meds, and a healthy doggo. i am forever indebted to dr guest and feel so, so lucky she answered the phone when we needed her so badly. we’re also visiting from out of town, so we really had no idea where to take the dog. she did a fabulous job to talk to me and point to similarities in our experiences (she recently moved home from toronto to open this clinic) as a way to distract me. i love you dr guest! thank you so much.

We had trust issues with vets in the past, Dr. Guest has regained my hope and restored my trust in veterinary care. We absolutely love petite pet hospital! Just recently our boy Luka got stung and or bitten by a spider and his leg swelled so bad he couldn't walk. Petite hospital took him right in and got him started on meds asap and a week later our boy is all better. Recommend these awesome people to anyone I come into contact with! WE LOVE YOU PETITE HOSPITAL ????????????

I’ve had my 2 rescue pups for close to 8 years. During that time, we’ve had yearly vet exams with a variety of doctors. I wasn’t at all impressed with the profession until I met Dr Guest! Both dogs had serious issues that were not diagnosed by my worried visits to previous vets. I took one little guy in on a Sunday afternoon because little Louie had reached a crisis point and was having a pancreatic shut down. Dr Guest took one look at him, listened to my listing of his symptoms and immediately explained what she thought was going on. Blood work immediately confirmed her suspicions and he was admitted to a 4 day hospital stay where his situation slowly improved. He has to be on a special low fat diet for the rest of his life .... but at least he is still with me.! The compassion and straight forward explanations for his condition and future care gave me a feeling of confidence and security . Finally I had found a vet I could trust for her knowledge, experience, skill and integrity! Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr Guest!

We used the services of Petite Wellness Center. We need to euthanize our old dog. They are one of the few veterinarian that would come to the house. Dr Guest was very professional and compassionet. I would use her clinic again. She made a very hard decision a lot more comfortable. Thank you Dr Guest and staff.

If there was a million star option I would choose it, hands down. We had our fourth visit with Shirleen tonight after coming home from work to find our 1 year old amstaff had eaten his nylon long lead. Most times when you call a vet after hours, they're either closed or explain the emergency fees and make sure you can pay it before telling you to come in. At the Petite Animal hospital things are a little different. I called tonight, after hours, and the answering machine picked up. There was a message to txt Shirleens cell phone. Her response to my text was prompt, she asked me lots of questions to get a better idea what was going on with my dog and then met us at the hospital. She saved our bank accounts from the thousands surgery would have cost, which is what would have happened had we let him go until morning. Our dog vomited up 20 5 inch long pieces of his leash .. so you can just imagine how awful that could have been. This was our fourth visit.... each and every single visit we have had with Shirleen starting with the first one, I have left feeling more confident instead of stressed like I did with other vets. She was patient with me and my dog, she was kind and she offered her guidance and support with dealing with some of his behaviors. Not once have I ever left with the impression that it was about money, or feel like she "knew it all" however, I do feel like she knows her stuff and I trust her word, opinion, and advice because she truly cares about the animals and their well being. Thank you so much Shirleen for everything you've done for Atlas and helping us to help him be the confident smart boy that he is. I am so thankful for you and your team. I have never felt so comfortable with a vet or at the vet and you know it's a good feeling when you're dog gets excited to go to the doctor:) You're an angel ! Xo

I moved to this practice because I had grown incredibly tired of the upselling and exorbitant fees being charged by others in our area especially after being purchased by an Ontario firm. I wanted my dog to be able to see one vet regularly and I wanted to know who was treating my dog. At Petite Pet Hospital I have finally found the right clinic for me. Dr. Guest has navigated us through various bouts with deep corneal ulcers as well as an urgent gastroenteritis - not to mention our general wellness concerns. My bills have always been more than reasonable. I know my new vet is flamboyant sometimes but most importantly she is an excellent diagnostician and a caring, compassionate, knowledgeable doctor who is as accessible as she is kind. Highly recommend.
