Yesterday we took our 16 year old dog here on his final trip. On what was one of the hardest, heartbreaking days of our lives the staff and doctors at this office were so incredibly sympathetic and kind it really made our last goodbye easier. We were greeted at the door as we pulled into the parking lot and walked through the entire process thoroughly and so kindly. They were so very good to our boy and understood exactly how much he meant to our whole family. I will never forget how very kind they were and I will always recommend this office to anyone who has to make the same decision we did yesterday. Thank you so much to the staff and veterinarian for taking such good care of us yesterday.

Always great care for our pet's! They were amazing during the hardest day ever, when I had to make the impossible call to have my old pup Winnie put down, just before Christmas during covid. They were amazing when my daughter's kitten broke his leg a few years ago. And they have been amazing answering all of my questions and concerns with my new rescue pup Fergie and her after care with a major stomach surgery! Honestly best pet care I've ever had! Kind, caring, informative and compassionate!

Excellent service and friendly staff. Our cat developed an Urinary Tract Infection and we came in on a Saturday without an appointment and were seen very quickly. Price was fair and Molly (our cat) seems no worse for the wear and tear.

Had an absolute emergency, vets refused service. And after 45 minutes of convincing they made us wait for a whole hour knowing that there was a clear spot for our dog. Through the windows we could see staff rolling their eyes. Making guestures. Slamming doors. And paying absolute no attention to the dire emergency at hand. Piss poor services and piss poor staff.

I love the Vets here. They have always been compassionate and caring in the 11 years I’ve been taking my pets there. Recently, however, I had my dog in for his annual checkup and vaccines. I was asked to come back in a couple of weeks for an additional vaccine that couldn’t be given on that date. It was the week before Christmas and I forgot to call and make an appointment. The staff didn’t contact me to book anything even though the printout for the visit indicates a return appointment is required. When I remembered about it and called I was three weeks past the first appointment and was told the only way I could get the vaccine was to pay $51 for an exam because the last appointment was more than 2 weeks prior. This wasn’t an elective appointment. It was one requested by the clinic and at no point did anyone tell me if I went past 2 weeks of the first appointment I would be required to pay for an additional exam. To me this amounts to nothing more than a cash grab. I’m very disappointed and am considering changing clinics.

This used to be 5 stars, but I've reduced it because I am not happy with the new standing procedure requiring you to surrender your pets at the door. I know that covid has changed many things, and I know that the staff are trying to protect everyone, however, if everyone is wearing masks and sanitizes upon entry it would help keep our pets more calm I think. It's not a matter of trust but more about the interaction with the vet. Questions are asked before you go to the door by the staff over the phone, but it's not the same as asking questions directly to the doctor during an examination, or being able two answer the vets questions. It's an uncomfortable situation that I think is then sensed by the pet. I don't like it at all.

We moved to Nova Scotia in December and were very fortunate to find such an amazing veterinary hospital for our fur babies. 2 weeks ago, one of my dog’s Brownie got hurt somehow and herniated a disc causing his hind legs to become paralyzed. We were there everyday to get his bladder emptied as he couldn’t pee on his own. Every single staff member there is just so amazing. They care so much for theirs animal patients. They were there for us during our rough time with Brownie, answering the million questions I had. I totally recommend them to anyone who wants there pets to be treated and loved like one of their own. Thank Eastern shores for everything you’ve done to help us with our Brownie❤️

We have valued the Eastern Shore clinic for more than six years however access to care even for an animal in pain is non existent. They do not answer phones. I have spent a day and a half trying to reach the clinic for one of my dogs who was limping and crying. As I could not reach them I decided to take him to the clinic as he clearly needed medical care. Long story short the receptionist was not only rude but decided she was qualified to diagnose my dog and in her opinion he was not an emergency and therefore he could wait for a regular appointment. I asked for pain medicine because I couldn't leave a five lb dog in pain. It is against the law to do so is considered animal abuse. Once again the receptionist refused to do anything to help. I was not rude or demanding but I did expect help from a clinic that has happily accepted my money over the years. As a dog rescuer I have multiple dogs most of which have come with illness, pain and broken spirits. I refuse to allow any one of them to suffer needlessly for even one minute. A receptionist is not qualified to triage patients her job is to book appointments and sell products. Update. Forced to seek help from an emergency clinic it turned out to be a neck injury which required complete rest and medication. The injury could have caused permanent paralysis if not addressed. He required a veterinarian not a receptionist.

Unfortunately covid prevented me going in with Dryad for her visit, but I was very pleased that she returned calm and relaxed after she saw Dr. Hartman. It was good to get as much information as possible and I am better prepared for the next visit. Thank you...from both of us. Dryad is a sweet little old lady, and I appreciated that her anxieties were kept to a minimum.

I called the Vet office at 9:30 because my 14 year old cat, Bella, had been acting out of character, dribbling throughout the house. I got an appt for 3pm, and Dr. Hartman examined her, got a urine sample (not sure how, and don’t want to know) and discovered she had a urinary tract infection. Received medication and on the road home before 4. I am very grateful that they vet was available to see to my pet, and that the problem was looked after in such a timely fashion.

Twice now, I’ve had to just show up with an emergency situation and no appointment. Unfortunately, one time my 14.5 y.o. Baby wasn’t able to come home with me, but the other time my 17 y.o.
