A couple weeks ago I went to Lady Hammond Animal Hospital and the woman at the front desk was very rude and unhelpful. I went to pick up flea/tick medication and She kept saying she couldnt find my name or my dogs name in the system. She kept asking me, could it be under a different name ? Asked me What's me phone number? Could it be under a different phone number? Then asks me if I’m sure I’m not getting them mixed up with another hospital, and then she tells me, well your not in the system so I can't give You the medication, the only way u can get it is if the vet sees the dog first ...so I told her I'm not paying to see a vet just to get flea/tick medication and I've never had to do this before and this where I’ve always came. Then she was like I'm sorry I can't do anything. This was very frustrating because I’ve always got it from there and I waited a half an hour there and she did not help me. Also I do not have a car so it’s hard for me to get around Halifax. Then just a week later what do I find on my dog...a tick!

Brought my cat (Annie) in for excessive drooling. In my opinion, the vet failed to do a proper examination of her mouth. Instead suggested expensive blood-work and an X-ray to examine her heart and other internal organs. Was given thyroid medication, some antibiotics and a future appointment for another round of blood-work to check her thyroid and was sent on my way. Symptoms didn't improve after 2-weeks and the exam didn't sit right with me so I decided to go to another vet for a second opinion. This time they did do a proper exam and discovered an easily visible mass under her tongue (very likely cancerous). Annie is now on medications to help make her remaining time with us more comfortable. Had this been discovered earlier my cat could have been spared weeks of unecessary pain and discomfort. It goes without saying that I would not recommend this vet. Granted people can make mistakes and it not speak to their overall qualifications. I hope this is true in this case but I am unwilling to give them a second chance. I hope my story helps you make a better decision than I initially made. I will say that the women that I had the pleasure of speaking with in their front office were very kind and professional. The problem is you need that on top of excellent veterinary care. If you are reading this it's likely because you are looking for help with a pet you care a great deal about. I wish you all the best and a healthy, happy pet.

The vet technicians were polite and kind, but the vet lacked any beside manner. Instead of going over options of what could be wrong, he immediately started at a drastic scenario of surgery, and tried to make me feel guilty. I should have trusted my instincts and left immediately. Instead I have a bunch of animal drugs that mine doesn't need as he's better now, the foreign object having passed through his system. Expensive lesson. If you're in this area, just go to 4 Paws. ****updating my post to acknowledge that the owners did reach out after I posted this to talk about what happened and try to make amends, which I did appreciate (edit date, June 30)

Very bad experience! They treated my cat very violently and caused significant pain on the pet. After their violent show of a painful pet, they lied to me saying that the cat was dehydrated and may had serious sickness, which was not true when I finally got to see a vet in a more well reputated clinic. Then, they asked for rediculously pricy x-ray, blood test and even hospital stay to do unnecessary injection treatment. Will never visit again for any reason and will never recommend this clinic to anyone!

Staff were very helpful but that’s the only good thing I can say . I had hoped they could treat my pet but after the bill kept raising and the results weren’t there I ended up returning to my previous vet . Now she is right as rain after 4 vet visits for treatment.

Vet made us wait 40 to 45 minutes in examination room. Left without seeing the vet as no one came by to apologize or say that they were dealing with something so it would be a while. No, just 40 to 45 mins waiting in a small, very warm examination room. We could actually hear the vet was taking a personal phone call at the time as he was laughing while taking his long phone call. Perviously (the 1st visit) when we saw the other vet on staff, he was quite cold and gruff. He didn't know basic knowledge about our breed. The other vet was very difficult to understand when he spoke as English must not be his first language. He has a strong accent but more so it was the poor communication skills and not using full sentences when he spoke. When I called and politely (I hate conflict and try to avoid it) asked to have my dog's file transfered to our new vet's email, the lady speaking on the phone was quick, abrupt, and rude.

We have had great experiences every time we have gone to this vet. This time we booked an appointment and 3 days in advance the doctor went over Sadie’s chart and realized she would need a special test for her eyes. The doctor called me personally and advised me where to go that would have the right equipment and give us the best price on testing. The clinic sent over her records and told us to come back for follow up after. I feel like they are all very helpful and honest at that clinic, and we will continue to bring our pets there any time they need anything.

Our cat Fubby was attacked by one of our other cats who has had a hard time accepting her since day one. This time was more serious. With water running out of her eye, that she could no longer open, Fubby was showing clear signs of pain. My wife and I knew this required a trip to the vet. But the problem was that no one was quite available at that hour. We all love Fubby but my wife at the time was and still is extremely attached to her. Fubby is after all the sweetest little Persian Doll Face you'll ever meet. I was trying my best to stay in control but watching them both with their discomforts wasn't an easy thing. A friend of ours reminded me about Dr. Khan and his clinic. It was late, but they were kind enough to accomodate us. Right from the start, we felt like our Fubby was going to be in good hands. The wait was minimal, the reception staff was so beautifully friendly. My wife and they bonded really well, and it was good for me to see her relax a bit. After a short wait, we were asked to the examining room where we were promptly recieved by Dr. Khan. After a quick examining, Dr. Khan didn't just find the scratch on her retina but was able to show it to us and explain how it is to be dealt with. Fubby was given her eye drops and we were instructed so well on how to administer the dozes on our own. To see that our Fubby was going to be well was a relief beyond words, but to see my wife unwind and calm again was simply priceless. They didn't just accomodate us at the very last hour of their shift but gave us phenomenal service. Fubby recovered beautifully and today she thrives being the adorable cat that she is. If you have a pet, then I recommend Lady Hammond Animal Clinic thoroughly. From their expertise, competence, passion and respect for you and your pet family member, to the amazing service they provide; simply phenomenal!

They were so warm and nurturing with my baby girl and I know that my cat was and will be in good hands here. I brought my puppy here for her vaccines and likely won't be coming back for any further needs. I felt as though staff were condescending towards any questions (and noticed them treat other customers similarly). They do not let you in the room with them "due to covid" yet they had 4 of their own staff in the room when she was getting her vaccine while I had to wait in the waiting room. It is a little unsettling when you hear your dog whining & crying behind closed doors and can't see what they are doing. The vet also gave my dog pain medication without asking me first as she said she reacted poorly to the vaccine. I would have appreciated if they had asked if I wanted to give her the medication before doing it without my permission. The whole experience felt very shady and unsettling.

Called to make an appointment so I could get flea medication for my cat who also was having a paw problem. The person I talked to was very unprofessional, I asked basic questions like, what kind of flea medication do you offer? “I dont know.” Who would be the best animal doctor to see? “I don’t know, but it probably doesn’t matter.” Seemed like she didn’t care whatsoever, and before I could even place an appointment the “nice lady” hung up on me. So as I like to give common courtesy, I thought maybe the phone line just got disconnected, you know, things happen. But after trying to call back it would ring once and go straight to a voicemail. Not professional at all. Advice? Go across the street to 4 paws. The person who answered the phone there recommended me their best doctor, recommended the best flea medication, and by the way, WASNT RUDE. My cat is perfectly healthy now thanks to 4 PAWS. Literally every other person I know who has gone to this place told me to avoid, so now I’m passing the info on to everyone else. Thanks for nothing.

Staff are always accommodating, empathetic and give clear information on diagnoses, after-care and preventative care. You can't beat their prices and care as far as city vets go. Highly recommend!

Came to this clinic on friends recommendation. Dr Hammid did not disappoint. Friendly, patient demeanor he gave our dog a very thorough check up for an eye condition that had come on rapidly. Very accommodating for this dog that has some social issues & can be guarded when handled. Receptive to questions & respectful that owner is well versed in clinical methods. Gave more than a fair share of time addressing a secondary ear condition. Did not overcharge. Clinic staff pleasant & caring, very clean premises. P.S. eye condition is resolving quickly, with meds given as prescribed.

Very unpleasant experience here today. Visited here for my lightly wounded puppy today expecting a simple check up and making a reservation for a vaccination. When I entered the office, receptionist just started staring at me couple of seconds and was saying just one word- 'who? what?' with very uncomfortable face. After listening my answer she was just saying 'we don't have a doctor for your puppy, try other vet nearby, there are plenty of them', while she was taking another customer. I'm 40 year old Asian from South Korea, I was able to easily recognize/realize that it's a discriminative situation against Asian. Never go this place if you are a person with a consciousness.

My dog, Bailey, suddenly became sick. I called the Lady Hammond and was able to bring him in immediately. He was quickly heen by Dr Khan and tests ordered. They put him on a IV. I had to bring him back the next day for an additional IV to help treat his gastroenteritis. When I picked him up at the end of the second day, he was 100% better and feeling good. He is better now and both Dr Khan & Dr Hammid did a great job with him. Dr Khan ever personally called me the next day to see how he was feeling. Great service. Much appreciated.

I went here after not only hearing recommendations of it, but learning it was a short trip away for me. Traveling with my cats is unpleasant for them and me. Once there, the staff at the desk were attentive and communicative. I filled out the information form and a few moments after we were on our way in for his checkup. This was a surprise, as the vet I used to go to had me accustomed to a twenty minute wait. I was notified before I went that one of the doctors could be an 'alarmist', someone who overexaggerates. My cat had a lump on his chin, which I was worried over, but the doctor we had expressed his opinion that there was no need to worry, but did offer a cream that would help. The best part was the price. I expected to pay in the triple digit range after the check up and medicine but the total was very manageable.

Best vets EVER. There are honestly no words to truly describe what they did for me and my dog.They gave him an extra 2 years of life that I don't believe he would have had anywhere else. Everyone there is so kind and compassionate. They discuss every option with you, put quality of life as a top priority and try to be as cost effective for their clients as possible. My dog lived to be 17 years old because of them. We honestly couldn't have asked for better care.

So we took our cat in recently to become spayed and have her shots — she was energetic and sweet before we brought her in, now it's been 2 weeks and she has a lump on her right hind leg and seems to have aches all over her body, we aren't financially sound but that fact that we're going to have to pay again for her to be rechecked after something that had happened because of the spay (we'll be taking her to another vet not to worry) is ridculous not mention we paid for a proper checkup as well and know that wasn't done, she had earmites and we asked to have her ears check and this never happened otherwise we would've gotten medication for it. It breaks my heart to see my cat like this, this animal is my bestfriend. EDIT: We had taken our girl back and everyone was amazing, showed us everything and were very professional! The staff were laughing and all in an amazing mood which of course made for a comfortable environment! Thanks so much, Lady Hammond!

I came here a while ago when my dog got bitten by another dog and had an open wound on her face. It happened late on a Saturday night and my local vet was closed until Monday morning. In a panic I was looking up vets open at the time on Saturday and this one came up. When I came in I waited a while but they looked after my dog even after their open hours had passed. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, pleasant waiting room, and a reasonable price. I'll be making the drive for future check ups!

My mother and I took our cat, Tinker, in last Saturday evening, as she wasn't feeling well. Dr Hammid and the Vet Techs were very kind and caring and spent A LOT of time (we were there until closing) and effort in helping her. (They also came out from time to time to give us little updates as to what they were doing and reassure us about her condition, which was greatly appreciated.) They focused a large amount of attention on her and it showed. Dr Hammid went over all of the blood tests and xrays with us in great detail and had one of the Techs go over how we could give her the pills and cream that were prescribed for her (which was, again, appreciated, because Tinker is VERY uncooperative with meds). Dr Hammid and Techs were awesome and I would recommend them to anyone!

You sure knew me when i received an email from you seeing how we were doing. Nothing yiu can di now he's dead!!! Took my baby in for 2nd thorough exam because he was still not eating. Nothing found.. nurse squeezed his poor belly area, he cried out in pain!! "He is definitely constipated.. How can he be constipated when he hasnt eaten in a wk?? Think maybe due to his obvious discomfort she may have Vet check himself?? " Nope he wasnt, he had a hard mass under his bowels and died 2 days later.. This rating has nothing to do with anger over his death. I dont feel a Vet tech should do the thorough exam then Vet comes in for 2 minutes to hear what she found or didnt find passes a script and see ya in 2 wks... the mass was large enough that if taken the time would of been felt! At the very least i would of had a few special days with him....

We have been bringing our wobbly cat (CH) Merlin to Lady Hammond Animal Hospital since we have adopted him. They have been great to deal with and very accommodating for our needy cat. Merlin unfortunately had to get a surgery after eating a piece of foam and taking care of incision on a wobbly cat is not an easy task. We were able to email in pictures and get in very quickly for follow up care. Through the whole process everything was clearly explained to us and Merlin is back to his happy rumbling self. The compassion and kindness shown by vets, vet techs, and other staff was amazing and made the whole ordeal easier to handle.

These guys are great! My 12yr old golden needed a lumpectomy and they did it the same day. He was home that evening and was looking and feeling great! They are new to Nova Scotia and are welcome additions! Try them out. You won't be sorry.

Brought my cat in on short notice due to an ear infection - was able to get an appointment the same evening no problem, super amicable staff, quick and easy appointment. My cat gets extremely stressed out in his carrier and while driving and had made a mess in his crate - the (I assume) vet tech cleaned up him as well as the crate, replaced the blanket I had in there and laid down a pee pad just in case for the ride home. I am incredibly appreciative of that, as it was a chaotic day and all I had to worry about when I got home was giving him meds. You all are awesome. :)

I feel like the staff here doesn't have enough experience, or at least experience in their customer service?(!). Speaking from my own experience, whenever I brought my cats here for professional advice, I never got an exact answers of what problems our cats were having. The bills kept going on and on but I WANT to see results as well! There was one time a staff asked me general questions about my cat's health issues, she didn't even bother double checking if she understood me correctly and went on passing the wrong information to the doctor but luckily we noticed it when exchanging information with the doctor and the medication was pre-prescribed to the right one (well imagine what happened if my cat took the wrong meds?!). Recently, my other cat was limbing, brought her in, they still didn't know what's going on (as usual???????? jesus christ!), and eventually we got charged 80 bucks for nothing. On the following day, we called them back since her condition didn't get any better, we were worried as hell, guess what, they asked us to pay 400 bucks for an X-ray exam in order to figure the issue out which is ri-di-cu-lous. My overall experience here, is not pleasant at all. Truly disappointed. Please go to somewhere else...for your cats' sake.

They're always responsive and manage to fit us in (and often we call last minute because it is an emergency or something that needs immediate attention). Their prices are SO much more reasonable than other clinics in the city and they're always very open and realistic about treatment options and understanding and non-judgmental when it comes to decisions and finances. We took one of our dogs to see Dr. Umer Khan and the wonderful staff at Lady Hammond with a concern about a growth on her gum. Dr. Khan's gentle and caring approach, tempered with his professional experience and common sense gave us a great deal of comfort and built our trust immediately. The relationships we have with our pets, as family members, is so precious that choosing the right vet as a care-giver is paramount. Now, we can finally say we have found our new family vet after searching for months. He took the time to explain the diagnosis, offer the options for treatments and procedures and outlined the relative costs, with clarity and understanding. But above all, he was a warm-hearted human being with whom we got to have a real conversation and find common ground – that's priceless.

Dr. Hammid is the friendliest vet around. Both him and Dr. Khan have been extremely caring in the wellbeing of our dog over the past several years. They are also open to suggesting certain natural remedies at home on occasion, which I am extremely impressed by. On several occasions they have helped us in emergency situations with our senior dog and she has always come out fine. They always follow up on the phone after any bigger issues. Very compassionate. Our dog is 16 years old and some of her longevity is certainly due to their care. Now we bring our kitten to them and I’m sure she will also be in good care should any issues arise. Also- their hours are so convenient and they are much cheaper then other vets. Thanks to all the staff at Lady Hammond Animal Hospital :0)

I wish there was a no star button! Please keep your animals away from this extremely unprofessional business. The vet is very argumentative and the receptionist is very rude. I left a review on Facebook and the owner calls me arguing and talking over me because I had poor service there instead of trying to understand and talk through it to regain my business. He told me he could file a defamation lawsuit against anyone who talks bad about his business. PLEASE STAY AWAY!

I am pleased to share my recent experience at the Lady Hammond Animal Hospital. My 9 year old cat Barny was in serious distress. He was unable to keep food down, losing weight and in obvious pain. I called Lady Hammond Animal Hospital requesting advice. The receptionist very quickly arranged for an appointment and then I received a direct call from Dr. Khan. He analyzed the situation, explained it to me in detail and then presented me with a number of options. He also explained what he thought was the most likely cause for my cats illness. He arranged for an xray, first thing the next morning. Based on the xray results Dr. Khan prescribed a course of treatment. It was the least evasive of all options. Three days later, with a change of diet and some pain medication my cat has bounced back. He is eating and seems to be no longer in pain. Just this morning Dr. Khan called me again to check in and provide further test results. We have had pets for many years and we have never experienced this type of service. Professional, compassionate, expert knowledge, and all at a reasonable cost. Thanks for being there when we needed. Much appreciated by our whole family.

Brought my cat here after she had eaten a lily plant, they got her in very quickly and treated her promptly! I love the doctors and staff at this clinic! To have a vet do a call back and check on your fat cat is super kind to me. I have a repeat offender who gets UTIs and almost dies of a blockage. I have had both doctors take care of my animals. They are compassionate, honest and so personable! No one wants to have to go to a vets but they are fantastic! Andre loves you Dr. Kahn!

Dr Hammid and Dr Khan have been fantastic in treating our cat Yeezy. It has been a long road with our kitty as he needed surgery and lots of after care. Cassie our pittie rescue is absolutely loved when going to her vet visits. Dr. Khan & Dr. Hammid are ways so professional and very patient with our girl. All the staff no matter who is on shift (each & everyone of them) are always so very warm and friendly with every visit, which makes an anxious pooch (and pooch parents) much more comfortable. We brought Vera in for an emergency C-section when she had a difficult labour. The staff were great with giving us updates as they went above and beyond for her. Unfortunately we lost some puppies but thanks to the incredible determination and hard work we were able to bring home two beautiful puppies with Vera. Vera healed quickly and is back to her sweet wild self and our little wonder twins (Hope and Faith)are a blessing. We can’t thank LHAH for all the care they gave to all of us.

If you are doing vaccines and just simple stuff this place would be great because of how cheap they are. But if your cat needs professional care I wouldn’t recommend here. One of the vet told me I need to pay over thousand to get my cat an exam and then decide if we can spay her because she has severe heart murmurs. They also had difficulty handling my cat because she doesn’t get along with strangers. I didn’t know any better because they were the first vet I go to. Later I went to a different vet, they took my cat in with zero struggles, I even tried to warn them my cat can be aggressive they just told me they’ve handled cats like that it’s okay. That just shows how experienced the other place is!! And this place had to call me during my work saying they can’t hold my cat still to give her the physical examination ???? I had my cat successfully spayed in the other place and she’s fine without the thousand dollar exam. Now I realized all this I just wanna let people know that you don’t have to spend the extra money sometimes, just get a cross reference from some other professionals and you will know better too. To respond to the response: I was at your place only once in 2019 September, so I guess my profile is not there anymore,sorry I didn’t specify it: the thousand dollars is not for spaying, just for a test for my cat’s heart murmurs to check the conditions.

Thank You so much Lady Hammond Vet for taking great care of my kitty last night. I called and within an hour they were able to see her where our regular vet said there was no one available. She had a gash on her back leg which needed stitches and cleaning up. We left her and picked her up an hour or so later. The Vet and staff were friendly and professional. Who wouldn't be skeptical when taking their cat to a new vet? These good people did not disappoint me. I did enough research online before i went to ensure i had a general idea of the probable causes, and the vet was very knowledgeable and provided good options and advice. I'm also very thankful for their long hours which enabled me to address the issue right away. A big thanks to Dr. Hammid and his excellent support staff.

Dr Khan is the kindest, most caring Vet I have dealt with in my 50+ years of owning pets. He spent many hours comforting/advising me when my Cat Mau contacted Herpes and when Simba my 16 year old orange tabby died he was there by my side even though it was after office hours. I was heartbroken when he left his practise in BC. I highly recommend Dr Khan and would welcome him back here on the west coast in a heartbeat.

I discovered this hospital when my 17 year old cat started to show signs of being sick. I didn't want to wait for an appointment at another clinic so I rushed him into the Lady Hammond Hospital where he received great care for a reasonable price. (Dr. Khan even cut his nails for free that day, as I recall) Soon my cat developed pneumonia and had to be treated with antibiotics. Again, the fee was very reasonable for both the visit and the medication. My cat recovered and was his old self for awhile but soon began having other difficulties. Again, for a fair and reasonable fee Dr. Khan did a full body and head x- ray. (We all agreed this would help us to make a more informed decision) When the results of the x-rays came back we went into the hospital to see Dr. Hammid. (the vet on duty that day) He explained exactly what was going on with our beloved "Liam". He explained why surgery was not an option because of our cats more advanced respiratory issues. He sat with my son and me for about 30 minutes that day. ( The consultation was free of charge) Both my son and I were wowed at Dr. Hammids ability to break down, for us, the very complicated medical terminology that accompanied the x-rays. We were equally as wowed with Dr. Hammids honesty. Like all guardians of older pets, we needed to know what we could expect. We didn't want false hopes and we didn't want to spend money, unnecessarily. We loved our animal deeply but we wanted to spare him suffering. A few months later we took Liam back to the hospital. Dr. Hammid was on duty, again, that day and it was on that day (Feb 27th, 2016) we agreed it was time to say goodbye to our beloved "Liam." Dr. Hammid provided such exceptional care throughout the entire ordeal that neither my son or I could have imagined going through this kind of thing without that quality of care. I not only speak myself and for my son, then, but I surely speak for our beloved "Liam," when I say, "thank you" (from the bottom of our broken hearts) to both Dr. Khan and Dr. Hammid for the providing us the very best in veterinary care.

I have been using Lady Hammond Animal Hospital for my personal cats and rescue cats since the day they opened. The staff has been amazing through these few years. Both Dr Hammid and Dr Khan, are very knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. I have literally watched them save the lives of pets more than a few times. You may say I am biased because many of the staff and Doctors at Lady Hammond Animal Hospital are my friends. But I will tell you, if they didn't do such a fantastic job, would not still be going there. Not all clinics are rescue friendly, but this Clinic has gone above and beyond for a few rescues in this city. And one final thing to note, they have amazing prices!

Update: The Vetenarian called me a few minutes ago. He was very apologetic for the misunderstanding. We spoke for a few minutes and he offered to refund me the cost of the pain meds, which I was advised were included and the cost of the exam. I would have been happy and updated this review had he just called and acknowledged the situation. As I previously stated, I was happy with the staff and the visit overall. It is because of the call I will continue to go to this vet and hopefully 'build a relationship' as he put it on the phone. Thanks so much! Happy customer. Although the staff were truly friendly, and I felt good about taking my cat and leaving him there to be neutered, I was not impressed with the cost. Mostly because, living alone I have to budget. When I called to make the appointment, I specifically said to the lady with whom I was speaking, that, I'm trying to budget and need to know exactly how much it would be. 'No hidden costs, everything is included in the price I'm giving you' and she began to list everything included. A list that included pain meds, etc. The price she quoted me was $175 plus tax. Pretty decent. I again reiterated that I was budgeting and didn't want any surprises. She again assured me it would be $175 plus tax. No more. When I went in to pick up my cat, the total cost was $322. That is DOUBLE what I was quoted. I get things cost money, and I get that there is probably need for those things BUT why was I not just explained this on the phone? I was in shock paying my bill and because of this, will look elsewhere and recommend my friends do as well. Sad and angry that they were not just up front with my to begin with. Also worth noting, the pain meds I was charged for were included in the cost she originally quoted.

This place is really special. We came home to find our dog had injured her leg. We took her to LHAH and they put us in a room immediately. The team was extremely professional with great bedside manner and they had our girl checked out right away, giving us several options for treatment. We were in and out within an hour. Most importantly, our puppy got the treatment she needed and is doing just fine!

Today I can’t thank this team enough... My little Lou (3 pound chihuahua) had a fall. I was so emotional and stressed out but Dr. Kohn and the technicians could not have been more kind, empathetic, patient and devoted to doing everything they could for my Lou. I did not have a scheduled appointment but they fit me in right away. Dr Kohn presented my options for treatment so clearly and fairly to me and didn’t pressure me in the slightest. He is very understanding if someone is under financial strain. He made sure I had the best care provided to my Lou while also not pressuring me into any extra costs. I couldn’t believe the amount of attention and patience I was given when I didn’t even have an appointment. I was checked on by the vet and technicians numerous times. No matter how many worries I had or how many things I needed to be re explained to me or how much reassurance I required, they without hesitation handled themselves with the utmost care and compassion. I owe them a lot for today and I truly cannot thank them enough. Very grateful.

Dr. Hammid takes such amazing care of our greyhound and our cat. Our dog is medically... complicated, and Dr. Hammid has the best balance of being careful with him but also managing costs for us and knowing that often greyhound bloodwork and tests are wonky and sometimes you just need to goo off of what's normal for our guy. We feel so fortunate to have found him. He always greets us by name (with or without our pets) and always asks about each of them by name, too. So lucky to have Dr. Hammid looking after our boys. Vet techs are always super friendly and attentive, too! A+ service all around :)

Great vet. Reasonably priced and they have appointments “after hours.” Vet staff are accommodating and friendly. They also respond quickly to email. Only downside is I’ve had two emergency vet issues and have been turned away due to them being too busy. Still plan on continuing my pets care through them though as I’ve never had any issues with scheduling appointments. Friendly and knowleable. Definitely recommend.

Not only do they have incomparable prices, they also truly CARE about your pet. ❤️ My dog Kalii had a laceration on her paw, where she was given stitches and a splint, after a accident i took her to 4Paws across the street as it was late, which they put her splint on too tight and actually inflicted circulation problems???? I followed up last Tuesday with Lady Hammond Animal Hospital, I was greeted by the compassionate vet techs, Shelly, Shauna, Faith & Rhonda, as well as other loving vet techs as they were just as influential, she was first seen by Dr. Hammid which directed to have the splint taken off as it was too much pressure for her. Over the course of the past week I have been greeted with the amazing vet techs as well as Dr.Khan ! Dr.khan has been amazing throughout the course of treatment and always personally comes out and clarifies any questions or concerns & also showed me how to personally bandage her paw going forward saving me trips to the vet until her next stage of healing! How thoughtful & amazing! ❤️ I am sure I have probably driven the staff crazy with questions but I never felt unnoticed or annoying to them and therefore I would not go anywhere else in the future! I have taken my little fur boy (2.5lbs) two times to the Lady Hammond Hospital. One time for a ear infection and again for a tooth issue. Both times I could not have asked for more kindness and understanding. The first visit, the vet allowed me to look into my dogs ear through the instrument to see for myself how severe the ear infection was. The second visit, the vet informed me that my dog was in pain from his bad tooth, but also explained how risky it would be to put him under to have the tooth extracted, because of his age and size. I put my trust in the vet, as I did not want my little guy suffering. He allowed me to spend some time with my dog before he did the dental surgery. I stepped out into the waiting room, and 15 minutes later, my dog had 3 teeth extracted, 8 stitches and was wide awake. I was called back in right away, to see my boy. These vets understand that our pets are our kids. Their prices are far below what other vets within the city charge. I would highly recommend the Lady Hammond Animal Hospital for all of your pets medical needs.
