I've been going to this clinic since 2003, for all my cat and dog care. Aging cats=repeated visits and a lot of expenses which I was happy to pay for good care. One of my dogs had extensive genetic health problems which require many appointments and care. In short, I was a loyal client who spent a great deal on my pet care over the years
I'm shocked by the oldest vets conduct. I got used to the ride abrupt attitude because the overall care was fine and you aren't nickle and dime to death with fees. Now I have a challenging dog who hasn't been sorted out what's wrong so I went for a second opinion elsewhere. Called to see the vet and was refused...as I was no longer a client!!
Petty & unprofessional to resent getting a 2nd opinion. Consumers need to expect more from professionals who change unregulated fees. Especially when you've spent many 1000's over the years. Not call on a potential emergency and told to drive twice as far to seek help
That's callous and shows zero concern for an animals welfare. The other staff are just great, just not the owner.
Edited: Its worth noting, my dog died before I could travel the extra distance to the other clinic. I can't imagine anything more painful than standing helplessly by as your beloved pet takes its last breath. When she could have been humanely put down.
I can't fault the technical skills of any of these vets, but aside from ALL the money I had spent at this clinic....I expect a vet to care about my animals or if they are suffering
