I had terrible experiences with this clinic while living in Halifax. At the time I was dating someone who was very abusive toward me and he made a point to talk down about me to those working here (as he did this to anyone he could manipulate) and they then did not take me or my cats seriously. Terribly unprofessional.

We love the Atlantic Cat Hospital. We've been going here for years and wouldn't think of going somewhere else. Having a specialized vet see our cats is ideal. We only wish we could bring our dog here too :)

The ACH team is exemplary, always offering cuddles and cookies to my cats when they come visit. They offer to clean your kennel anytime your cat has soiled themselves on the way, and have a nifty cart to wheel kitties from the car up to the office, which would otherwise be quite a long way to carry more than one cat at a time. Dr. Forgeron was definitely my favourite vet, who I was very sad to hear left the clinic after she got a full time position. She always gave my cats extra love and helped with lifestyle concerns, not just purely medical ones, and took her time with each clinical encounter. ACH also has many diagnostics available in-clinic, which helps alleviate anxiety quickly when a not-yet diagnosed condition rears its head. The team always comes armed with a second (or third!) body to keep kitties still during tests, allowing the guardian to feed treats during examination & procedural ordeals. I love that the doctor's provide you with their clinical impression, the conclusion of your discussion, and home instructions in writing every time you get your receipt. I think the most unique part of this office is the knowledgeability of the reception and vet tech staff. They're always willing to take a panicked phone call, recommend a supplement, and have an evidence-based conversation, in addition to testing products on their own cats to offer some anecdotal advice. I wish I could take my dog here!

Piss poor, negligent care that nearly led to the death of one of our cats. Our older cat was experiencing an incredibly common condition among aging cats that they never even suggested or tested for (You have one purview... cats, this should have been a no brainer). Only a trip to an emergency clinic led to the diagnosis that was then treated by another veterinary clinic who implied our cat was weeks to months from death had they not intervened. And to boot, they got testy with us because they forgot to send us a bill for testing that they didn't know how to bill for after the procedure took place, only to be indignant and childish over our fair criticism of their care. And to top it off they were appreciably more expensive than most other veterinary clinics we've used. Literally the worst veterinary care I've ever had the near-disastrous misfortune of interacting with.

Wonderful experience! I was anxious, my cat was anxious but the team at Atlantic Cat Hospital was so great. They were able to do everything they needed to do with confidence and calmness. All my questions were answered and kitty was so happy after the appointment, as they made her feel more comfortable.

I don't know what these guys do, but every time I go to pick my cat up from them they tell me what a good girl she was. considering its next to impossible to get her into her carrier and she cries the whole way to the vet, I have no idea what they're doing to get her so relaxed, but they're doing a great job. she never cries on the way home. they also always call to check in after the appointment to make sure she's doing okay. really great team.

They are a great team of vets and assistants. They always look after my cat and he loves going to see them, he never comes home in distress. They spoil him with attention and are very good at even the most invasive procedures.

Our rescue "skitten"(skinny +kitten) has serious, recurring bowel issues. We bring her to the ACH at least twice a year for treatment, assessment and planning, and always feel confident in and secure with the treatment our Paisley receives. Dr. Julia and all the staff have saved her lives!!

The best vet hospital around - Dr. Julia and all of the staff here are so nice, warm, and knowledgeable. They don’t recommend unnecessary procedures or specialty diets. They always lay out all the options for you. They’ll answer all of your questions no matter how many you have. They love cats and it shows in the service they provide. I lost my pet earlier this year and Dr. Julia and everyone there was so kind to me. There is no better vet in Halifax.

I brought my small cat with inflammatory bowel disease back to the Atlantic Cat Hospital for an ultrasound after an initial, very thorough , consult. This involved a drive of more than an hour each way, but it was very helpful to get the results. She had been treated at home, but not always with as much diagnostic acumen. My cat's diagnosis is not the best, but Dr. Julia was very supportive and made a plan for the near future, even though things might not turn out for the best. I'm very pleased with the Hospital.
