I have no problem with the clinic and the doctors they are such lovely people although the reason why Im giving a single star is as follows. I had such a terrible experience with the groomer (the lady with the tattoo and piercing) she was so rude towards my dog as her actions completely changed when she came home. I have never had any issues with private, pet smart and at home grooming services. She specifically didnt mind to mention how long her service would take even though I had to book an appointment at 10am. I was able to pick her up 4hrs later which I have never experienced that long service with any other groomers. I was polite to her and appreciated her service, but I was upset about the amount of time it took. My dog went in to the clinic without eating any breakfast because I didn’t expect it to be this long. Not only that but I can tell that my dog was not given any source of water for the duration of her visit she come home so thirsty that I was shocked how much water she drank. She told me that she had experience at pet smart before but clearly you can tell that she is not well experienced with every type of dog behaviour. She mentioned that she would charge an extra fee because she got help from someone else to hold my dog. I wasn’t mad about the price but she told me that even than she wasn’t able to trim her head. If you are going to charge me extra fee, I do expect my dog to be trimmed evenly. Based on her experience as she told, she groomed my dog very poorly all around her body. I will be taken her to another groomer to get the patches that she left to be fixed, having to pay an extra fee. This was such a terrible experience for my dog and I, and I will be only bringing her to the clinic for her other treatments and definitely not for grooming

I've been going to dr.Weiner for the past two years, after escaping the nightmare that Willowdale Animal Hospital has turned into. I found dr. Weiner caring and reasonable and felt comfortable taking my dogs there. Until another vet in that clinic handed me an estimate for dental cleaning and possible extractions for a Yorkie, varying from $2800 to $4400. When dr. Weiner heard about it he made sure I received a revised estimate. The vet called me and told me that she was going to take " some things out from the estimate" . My question was : why were they there to begin with if she could void them now? Anyway, this new estimate varied from $1700 to $2600, depending on the complication they would find once the procedure was ongoing. So they expect you to agree to an estimate with a $1000 variance... You know that the total will never be the lowest $ given, but if you're lucky it will be somewhere in between. So for a yorkie ,with an estimated six extractions, I was looking at $2300 at best. I got her done today, 50 km outside the city, seven extractions and medication to take home, $1070. It's too bad that things turned out this way because I trusted dr. Weiner and also because the clinic is minutes away from my house. But I have other dogs, and I don't mind the long drive if I can get just as good a service and save thousands of $.

I have a 7 months old puppy and I wanted to get her spayed. I called the clinic and asked for some information regarding the procedure and some approximate estimates. The person who got the call straight away said that they cannot give any estimates, I'll need to take my puppy to the clinic and only after some examinations they'll give me an estimate. I know that the estimates might vary based on a lot of different situations but as an owner (the person who has to pay for the procedure) I should at least have a rough idea in my mind. Even for the first examination, I'll have to pay the clinic and then if they give me a huge quote, I would have wasted my money on the examination fee. But if I at least have some idea, I would be able to decide if I want to take my puppy for the examination or not. Even after explaining everything, I was denied of any kind of information and I really didn't like the tone in which the representative spoke. This was the only vet clinic where I faced this sort of weird behavior. Reply to the clinic - I know that the price may vary based on a lot of things, but I am asking the price for just the spay surgery and that too a rough estimate. Do you do the initial examination for free? If no, then you should at least give us some kind of idea of the cost so that I can decide if I want to take my puppy for the examination.Why can't you give a "ball park" estimate if your customer is specifically asking for it? I have spoken to a lot of vet clinics and each of them gave me an approximate. This clinic really has a bad customer service.

Small vet office with 2 vets on staff. Very friendly, and great dealing with our dog who gets nervous at vet appointments. Don't try to upsell you on products and services like other vet offices I've been to. Only drawback is they aren't open as late as some other vets.

I have called after hours and left a message to ask if my cats problem was an emergency or if I should just bring him in the next day. Dogs can't talk but in a way they show when people love them. My 9 year old dog has been coming to this clinic since she was a puppy and you can see her happiness when Dr. Weiner receives her. The unique service, dedication and experience from the staff is seen in every step of the way. No vet is cheap in this country, but you can see that they suggest only what's best for you pet. They're not in it for the $. It's hard to find good vets so I highly recommend this clinic ????

Dr. Weiner and his team are truly the best team to help take care of your pet. They are honest animal lovers and show their care and attentiveness in everything they do. Not only are they super easygoing and friendly, but they also care about your comfort and do everything they can to put you at ease about your pet's health. They constantly go out of their way to help you personally and make things as easy as possible for you. One time my cat developed a scary looking eye infection, tears, goop and all, and I was convinced it would be a serious issue. I called up Dr. Weiner with immediate concern and was worried I would have to trek across the city on transit with my already anxious cat. Dr. Weiner answered my call well after hours and late at night and personally called me back to tell me that everything was okay and that it was probably just conjunctivitis. He was extremely helpful and gave me advice which I followed right away and within 3 days my kitty was all better, no vet visit, no medications, no tests and no bill. I have been taking my cat to Upper Bathurst for over 8 years and I hope I never have to choose another vet again.

One of GTA's best veterinarians, Doris Neculoiu, moved there from another clinic a few years ago, and part of her old team simply followed her along. Switching vets and clinics was a no-brainer for us too, as Doris and her solid crew saved our Labradoodle from some serious health problems which had been neglected by our first vet in West Toronto. They now also have a groomer, haven't tried her services yet, but occasionally saw her cheerfully interacting with clients, and everyone seemed to be very satisfied with her work. There aren't many parking spaces in that small plaza... but somehow we have always managed to find one ;).

We've been coming to Upper Bathurst Animal Clinic since we first got our puppy (5 years ago). They have always gone above and beyond; the staff truly care about your pet, they are professional, knowledgeable, and extremely responsive (to emails and phone calls). They also help send out your insurance claims, which takes a ton of stress off your hands. Our most recent experience was with a tick just a few days ago; we called the clinic, and their help and response in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, was amazing. I brought my cat in for a checkup for the first time here. There were dog/s barking nonstop and she was spooked completely. The vet eventually told them to take the dog away and they did. He didn’t answer any of my questions properly if at all, since he didn’t really understand English. He gave her a couple shots to which the first one she completely jumped and freaked out. He should have told me to hold her in the first place. It’s as if they’d never had a cat in here before. It’s a shame I won’t be returning since it’s so close to home, but I guess a longer drive it worth finding a better bet for my kitty.

Then doctor apologized a lot and made one vaccination and promised that due to the inconvenience the service will be free of charge. However after few months I've got an Invoice for full service (few vaccinations and physical test). I called a lot of times, wrote an email - no reaction. By phone secretary told me that don't care about reviews on Goodle ... Terrible service. We liked the doctor so much, but this year we hit the day when his computer did not work. We waited an hour in a stuffy room, in the end he gave one vaccination, saying that his staff would contact us later and the injection the dog received would be free of charge, as he was very uncomfortable in front of us for what had happened. As a result, I received an invoice for the full service, conversations with the clinic staff on the phone led to nothing. The doctor never called me back. (Original) Terrible customer service. After a long search I finally found a Vet who cared more about his patients than how much money he’s making. Dr. E. Wiener has cared for my dog for many years. From the first visit and every one after he showed the same care and compassion for my dog. My dog is now past her 16th birthday and I believe his care and down to earth honesty played a big role helping make it happen. We now live almost two hours north of Toronto and I still travel back to see Dr. Wiener because I know that he is the best. My dog deserves the best especially as she grows older and now has special needs. Like the saying goes “if you want the best, you have to go to the best!”

I took my cat there for her constipation. The staff was very kind and welcoming. They made my cat feel comfortable immediately. I was given options on how to go about it and did not feel pressured to spend more than I needed. Some medicine, and directions on how to feed her got her back to normal within days. And I still have enough medication incase she has another round of constipation. Very happy with the service provided. And very happy that our cat is back to her old self.

The food is fresh Actually though the girl that was working there was rude and I understand it is costly .She was asking me for a thousand or 2 for check up and x-ray and check up ,and if operation she said an addition couple grands . .I was trying to ask her about the outcome of I bring my pet ,she was rude . I've been going there ever since the clinic opened. I like the location very much and as oppose to what someone mentioned in their comments, I don't mind the size of the waiting room at all. Very unhappy with this clinic. Original visit went well, was happy with the outcome. Had to go back for an issue with my dog's ear, they did a culture and never heard back from them. Called the clinic, was told I would get a call back. Never happened. Went to the clinic to ask for the results, was told the vet wasn't in and he would call me later. Never happened. Still don't know the results of the culture they did 3 weeks later. Was only supposed to take 48 hours..... Had to go to another vet and pay again for a culture to be done.

Dr Aldad is a wonderful vetinarian. All 3 of my pups are clients of his as well as my previous dogs. His bedside manner with my pets is warm and caring. He takes the time to call me HIMSELF with any test results that need discussing and further treatment. What I also admire about him is that he NEVER trys to convince me to run more tests or do more lab work than necessary just to make more money, instead hes very considerate and caring about only charging what he deems necessary, he's extremely fair. His staff are also very friendly and competent. I would 100% recommend him as my favorite Vet ever !!

This is one of the best veterinary practices in the city, in my experience. The staff members (vets, technicians, receptionists) are professional and personable, and care about animals. Highly recommended. The only caveat is that parking is at a premium in this tiny plaza, but that would be a difficult issue for the clinic to resolve without moving.

Dr. Eldad Weiner is the finest example of what a vet should be. This guy is what could be achieved if ceasar milan decided to go to school and become a doctor. Dr. Weiner is the real deal; he genuinely cares about you and your pet. When my dog was nearly dead, he stayed with her and texted us constant picture updates. He hand fed my dog until my dog was strong enough to eat again. My dog now loves going to this vet, she actually pulls to get in the office! And you know what; I believe the kind doctor actually enjoys seeing my dog. I strongly believe that all vets I have visited before someone recommended Dr. Weiner should spend at least a month training with this man. Young vets take note , this is what you should aspire to be. Even if you have a vet , just visit this clinic, nothing lost but a few minutes but I bet you will change vets immediately, you'll see. Again, not only do I recommend pet owners see this man in action I recommend vets see the Upper Bathurst Clinic. Awesome place !

Staff are caring and friendly towards your pets. However, the office is not big so if there are many pet patients in the waiting area, your pet might get freaked out. I brought my indoor cat here and had to wait in the open waiting area with many dogs who were intimidating her by growling and barking at her. She was so freaked out by the experience she ended up peeing on my foot as soon as we left the office. There needs to be individual private waiting areas or some way where cats and dogs are not in such close proximity with each other. We had to move to a different clinic because of this.

I'd been taking my little pooch, Maggie, there, from the time they opened their doors, for healthcare and grooming. They've always been excellent, and available in the rare case of emergencies. Most recently, she and I have gone traveling to South America, and the doctor was extremely helpful; making sure she got all the shots she needed, preparing her papers for travel, giving advice for potential problems, including altitude sickness. (so far, so good, though) She's a bit of a timid sort, and doesn't warm up to people very easily, but the groomer and the doctor have both made her feel quite comfortable. I can highly recommend them, in terms of quality of care and level of service.

I switched to this vet almost as soon as they opened and never regretted it. My dog was always excited to go there and see everyone. Back in October my dog, Monkey, developed some health issues. The care, compassion, and kindness, we received from them all, both towards Monkey and ourselves, was just phenomenal. We felt like part of the family, and when our dog passed away a few weeks ago they wasted no time and comforted us in the best way we could’ve ever asked. I hope I’ll be able to stop in and say hi sometime, and I wish I knew of a better way to thank them for everything they’ve done for me.

not knowledgeable staff, they kept giving me the run around about tics, Saying my dog didn’t have them when he did indeed. My dog has so much hair he couldn’t tell. The doctor is a sarcastic know it all. On another occasion I took my Siberian husky there to get groomed and they shaved my dog bald (by mistake apparently) never going there again. Dr wiener is very unprofessional.

Worst Ever

I’m shocked how many good reviews this place has received, especially towards Dr. Wiener. He is the most UNEDUCATED AND INCOMPETENT VETERINARIAN. Please think twice before trusting him with your pet. I took my dog to see him (only because he was the only doctor available) and he had know clue was to what he was doing. He used most of the appointment time reviewing the computer notes instead of listening to the issue as to why she was there or examiin my dog. Shouldn’t he have gone over the information in her file prior to the visit, the appointment was scheduled a few days before hand. When Dr Weiner finally did his job and examined my dog he could not figure out why she was so lethargic so he just popped out the diagnosis of Pancreatitis. He performed all these blood tests/urine and gave her an injection then sent her on her way. He said if I had any concerns or questions to call him. After a few hour my dog began shaking so I called the clinic and was told by an extremely rude receptionist CATHY that he was busy and would call me back. Well of course he NEVER did. A few days later Dr Weiner calls with the blood results and informed me that her blood work was PERFECT so he wanted to run a few more tests. After agreeing to the additional tests I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM DR WEINER AGAIN. HE CHARGED ME FOR THE TEST AND NEVER FOLLOWED THROW WITH THE RESULTS PLEASE, PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE TRUSTING YOUR PET TO THIS PLACE, YOU AND YOUR PET DESERVE SO MUCH BETTER..

I switched to this clinic a couple of years ago...sure glad that I did!! Dr Wiener is amazing and I would hate to have to go anywhere else. His compassion, knowledge, and true love of animals make him my only choice. And although we all know that everyone is entitled to make a living and get paid for their services, he always manages to impress me by not ordering unnecessary testing and expensive medications unless they are really needed. He is the first to recommend natural remedies (like chamomile teabags to clean my pups eyes instead of expensive vet ointment)when they can be substituted. I took my puppy to another clinic and the vet wanted to sell me everything under the sun, he didn't even introduce himself to me or Gladstone. We then found Upper Bathurst and the vet was awesome right from the start, no up selling, just great. My puppy loves coming here and I'm very happy with the service.
