Dr Tamjidi has been looking after my dog for 8 years. He has always looked after my dog with great care and compassion. The clinic is always spotless and his staff are very friendly. I have never felt pressure in being upsold on any unnecessary tests or procedures. Also - the fact the clinic is open 7 days a week is very helpful for working shift work.

If I could give it less than one star I would. He left the heating pad too long during a surgery under my dog and burnt her. He never admitted and even charged me to fix the problem until I was advised by two other vet that this is as a result of burn. I brought it to his attention and while he was wrapping a heating pad that he used for another surgery he just said no he didn't use one for my dog. I would never sued him but that could have killed my dog ! Now my poor dog has a bald spot in a size of 3 inches by 2 inches for ever in her back. I just wanted him to admit it and fix her!

We went to this animal hospital because of the high rating, but we didn't feel the rating matched the service that we were hoping for. Staff are nice people but are not the most organized. Our pet has a specific dietary food that can only be ordered through the vet. Multiple times we would ask the vet to order us the specific dietary food but consistently forget to order. They also seem to be very busy, so they didn't spend much time with us and our pet.

My dog went to your clinic several times which were fine. But just this afternoon I called your clinic asking about deworming. A lady picked up the phone and asked me to hold, I hold 30mins without any answers. Later I called again and that lady asked me to wait again for 5 minutes without any answers again. I called the third time and she asked me : what's your question again? I am really mad and this is totally irresponsible. She could call me back but she never and she wasted my time for just few questions. This happened on April 1st between 2pm - 3:30pm.

The best animal hospital that I can recommend to anyone who truly cares about their pet. We had a really hard time finding the right veterinarian for our cat till we met Dr. Tamjidi and his staff. They are super nice and very professional and experienced. My cat had chronic constipation that no doctor diagnosed it before even with several examinations and different scans, however Dr. Tamjidi point out to her condition in the first 5 minutes of her physical examination and saved her from further difficulties just by changing her diet. Also, a week ago Luna was in terrible pain, and Dr. Tamjidi took the best decision at the right time for her with minimum diagnostic procedures saving Luna a lot of time and discomfort and also saving us from the guilt of overspending. And at this moment Luna is completely fine and we cannot really thank him enough.

Horrible Experience. We went there for my pup’s nail trim last year cos our vet was on vacation. My pup had no issue with any kind of grooming and always stay calm and quiet. When the receptionist trimmed her nails she immediately started to bleed. My dog has light-coloured nails and apparently the receptionist cut too short and went over the cut line. I could hear my pup screaming and crying and the blood was every where. It literally broke my heart to see my pup suffer the way she did. They charged me $20 + tax. Now my pup is terrified of nail trimming.

I initially brought my dog here because he needed an emergency procedure and I did not agree with the procedure his previous doctor recommended. I had no idea what to expect but I was instantly hooked. Dr. Tamjidi is an excellent and caring doctor. Unlike other vets, he doesn't make you wait 30-45 minutes just for his assistant to come and speak to you. Instead, he personally takes care of all your pet's needs and he sticks to his scheduled appointments in a timely fashion. I've been taking my dog here for over 2 years now and I have recommended him to all my pet owning friends. He's a truly caring and compassionate veterinarian who makes sure you and your pet are cared for to the best of his abilities. In addition, his staff has been warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. I would recommend definitely recommend Toronto North Animal Hospital. Dr. Tamjidi and his staff will instantly make you feel right at home.

Generally unkempt facility, though I'm not sure what I was expecting from a house that doubles as a vet office. Dr. Tamjidi seemed extremely disorganized/dismissive and didn't take much care with my pet's file. The state of the boarding area is nothing short depressing and unclean, essentially a pet jail. I definitely won't be sending my dog back again, for his own safety and well-being. Maybe other patients have had better success, but I personally wouldn't recommend wasting your time with places like this..

This review is a personal Thank-You to Dr.Tamjidi, his wife, and staff at Toronto North Animal Hospital. For the past 3.5 years Dr.Tamjidi and his amazing team have Been the primary veterinarians for my 2 Pugs Lilo and Chewy. I have received nothing but excellent health care for both of my girls. My youngest Lilo was diagnosed with a rare disorder called Megaesophagus. Dr.Tamjidi has gone way beyod his call of duty to ensure the health and follow up of Lilo. Both my girls Love going there and are always excited to see him and his team. As soon as we are close they know and get excited. This to me is valuable to know my dogs trust him. Or they would not be excited. So Again Dr.Tamjidi THANK-YOU! And I will "Kiss Lilo" for you as always. I would recommend Toronto North Animal Hospital to everyone and anyone who is looking for a dedicated, amazing veterinarian that cares about his patients and shows it with excellent service.

I am so happy with the care I received at Toronto North Animal Hospital! I came in with my elderly cat because he had been experiencing some issues and was in a lot of pain. Dr. Tamjidi was able to explain what was happening with my cat so that I could understand. He is extremely kind and knowledgeable, I feel very safe with leaving my cat in his and his teams care. The care and medicine given to my cat was effective and I am so happy he isn't in pain any more. I feel as though the prices at Toronto North Animal Hospital are very reasonable compared to other Vet Clinics. If you have a pet, I highly recommend bringing them here, you will receive thorough, effective, and kind care without paying an arm and a leg!

DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. Simple as this: the vet lied to me on numerous levels: 1. He told me 3 year vaccine is more toxic than the 1 year vaccine, which is not true according to my call to the vaccine manufacture. basically he denied my right to get a 3 year vaccine for his own benefits. If you do some basic research on your own you will find out that the formulation and dosage of 1-year and 3-year vaccines are exactly the same. Giving your dogs the 1-year ones only expose them to higher risk but no more benefits. This vet not only failed to inform me this but tried effortlessly to mislead me until I angrily rejected the 1-year vaccine he offered. 2. When I asked if small dogs are more prone to adverse reactions to vaccinations, he told me that's not true. But there is abosolutely no dose adjustments and studies have already proven that small dogs are more vulnerable to vaccine side effects. There is no ground on which I can agree on his conclusion coming from nowhere. 3. When I inquired about the potential side effect of the vaccination, he impatiently asked me to talk to the receptionist after he gave the vaccine to my dog. For Christ sake, I work I health care industry okay??? In no way should you dose a patient first then inform them the risks!!! This is the very basic foundamental stuff if you are allowed to practice. It's called informed consent for crying out loud. I told him I will not consent to anything unless all relevant risks were disclosed for my considerations, then the vet got very very annoyed, and asked me to wait outside while he can deal with another patient first. For a vet like this, I question his integrity, his values and his due diligence. I will NEVER EVER EVER bring my one and only loved companion into this clinic. One visit. That's all it took for me to tell how terrible this animal hospital is. And if you truly wholeheartedly care about your little furry ball, DO NOT BRING THEM HERE!

Dr. Tamjidi is the best! We brought our dog to his clinic and he diagnosed the problem with an x-ray right away. He was able to do the surgery the next morning to remove bladder stones. There were no other "patients" in the recovery area, so our dog had a very peaceful time after the surgery. Dr. Tamjidi also provided comprehensive follow up care and put our dog on a new prescription diet. Dr. Tamjidi and his staff did a super job overall, with a great outcome for our dog! Highly recommend this doctor and his clinic!

Dr B is always very professional and dedicated to us. My dachshund had a swollen anal gland! it was painful and needed to have a surgery. Dr. B was amazing since day 1, very focused on what needed to be done.. The surgery was very well done, and my dog is now like nothing. He was amazing! my dog is 10 years old, and Dr B is always taking good care of him. I have been with Toronto North Animal Hospital (Dr. B) for a long time now, and after searching for vets for my dog and cat (before I became patient), Dr B was, and has been the ONLY doctor that I notice cares for the animals and not the money.He is really amazing. Can't really compare with other vets since I've never had experienced else where, but no complaints. Came here based on Google reviews. Prices are reasonable for check ups and vaccinations. Accommodating clinic hours available. Pretty much come here if you have tight deadlines (your kitten or puppy is due for its vaccinations), for annual vaccinations, and emergencies.

The following are the reasons for my 1 star review of this hospital on our first appointment: 1. We arrived the (first) day of our appointment only to be told by a lady that we need to reschedule... apparently the receptionist never took down our phone number so we could be **properly** informed. Ended up wasting our time and gas. 2. After saying many times during our appointment that our cat needed a refill on his meds (as he was prescribed for years now from his former doctor), we waited for 2 weeks to find out the medication was never ordered. He is now off his meds... I need to have confidence in a vet, who I trust to look after my pets' best interests, and unfortunately I did not get that here.

Highly recommend this place - they are very trustworthy and actually educate you on possible symptoms for your dog. We went to willowdale during the night as our dog was dry heaving and right off the bat said it would he $2000 just to evaluate her!! We wanted a second opinion so we went here and they did a full checkup and gave her the appropriote medicine - nothing even close to what the other clinic offer. They are very friendly and knowledgeable at a very reasonable price. I'm very happy I found this place ill only come here to bring my dog from now on!

Choosing a hospital for your loved one, in my case, a kitten, is difficult and risky. In my experience with this hospital, I can say that staffs are unorganized, unprofessional, lacking standard operating procedures (I.E changing appointment time on the same day as if there was no initial appointment). Furthermore, I had to call eight times plus visit twice to get a vaccination certificate. I felt I had to baby sit to get a vaccine certificate which should have been produced in the first place. If not, then make it right in a subsequent opportunity. It took them 8 calls from customers over a month period and physical visit twice to get it. They kept using IT issue for the delay. Then don't operate when you don't have functional system, putting inconvenience onto customers. It is irresponsible excuse to make. I would never go back and hope this review helps those who are making an important decision for your loved one. In short, if I were you, I would pick a hospital that can organize itself better.

Everyone here is so kind and professional. Took my cat in for an emergency and were incredibly supportive and communicated through every process. I got regular calls letting me know how he was doing while he had to stay there for a few nights, and calls afterwards to make sure he's doing better. Pricing is also very reasonable. He took my cat in immediately when I got there because it was a life or death situation. My pet got sick and we went to the hospital for helping with the situation. After hospitalization and series of checks and medicine they couldn’t help with it and not sure why it has the symptom. They keep and insist in doing one X ray to another .. and in the end after spent close to 1500 dollars they couldn’t even figure out why she vomits lol... the hospitalization is simply putting her in the cage for the night.. and it makes her situation worse! My cat was dehydrated and vomits everything. So every night of waiting is like killing her quickly. Her situation was quite serious ! The endless examinations and not figuring why she vomits and no true treatment make me nuts! I don’t have pet insurance and omg. So expensive, costing me 1000+ dollars just for the examination and some useless pills. It is a joke. The clinic is one person doing the work the whole day. So many people line up , and how do you expect one person to do everything well? Also, because there is only 1 person doing the work, he approached animals aggressively with not much patience to really look into the situation. I understand that because it is a very stressful job to do all day. Ps: I went for Dundas West Hospital. It is expensive as well. They redo a lot of the examination (God, Pet medical is Bloody industry). Spent another 1500 +dollars for the pills and treatment. In the beginning they still couldn’t figure out why she vomits. The doctors there were nice and were really really patient and kind to the pets! I appreciate that they DO really care for the animals. Not like Toronto North. Their hospitalization was putting her back from almost dying. 1 day of late treatment would have killed her. She was super dehydrated and had fever. It is dehydrated fever. And when my mother suggest (she is a nurse) it is that, the doctor said “we don’t know if the fever is due to that, need the report”. Come on. She got fever after being dehydrated.. everything needs machines to help determine the final result. it means that the doctors really have excellent academic knowledge but really lack of practical experience You know what? In the end, a 40 dollar Stomach liquor healed her vomit ! After spent 3500 dollars eventually! She vomits simply because of an upset intestine and a normal Bowel Disease. She was almost killed and dead by endless examinations with no real treatment. If she died due to simple bowel disease, the Vets are really the ones to be blamed !!!!

I do not appreciate being scammed. I have a kitten and my close family has another kitten from the same litter going to another vet. How does my bill always come out bigger? Why is there always something that I have to pay for in addition to what the other kitten gets? Why does the other kitten get their blood drawn at the same time as getting neutered but this vet HAS TO do it the day before and charge me 200$ for sedation to take the blood? NEVER AGAIN.

Generally one of the least expensive vets in the North York region. Brought our dog here for the heartworm test ($45) and revolution ($120 - small dog). They had a promo where the exam was complimentary with the heartworm test. Would bring my dog back for the heartworm test and revolution, though I don't think I would come here for a more thorough exam if a major health issue were to arise. Maybe since the exam was complimentary, the vet just did a really quick check. Not very personable. Other than that, no major complaints.

This is by far one of the best Vet hospitals I've been to from the staff to the Doctor himself are the most attentive, caring and humble people ive been around. They truly care about the wellbeing of your animals and ensure that you get the best care plus and most importantly they wont like to you and are absolutely 150% honest and that's why they're my go to place for my dog Nelly and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Our family has three pets, all of which are patients of Dr. Tamjidi. I have one dog and two cat. Most recently, my male cat Chunky became terribly ill as a result of a bladder obstruction. This was an emergency, life or death situation. We rushed him to Toronto North Animal Hospital where he was treated for his blockage. During this time, Dr.Tamjidi was in constant contact with us, to provide step by step updates and reassurance for my family. Chunky was treated with IV flush and safely ( and quite happily) returned home. I have visited other clinics, and my personal experience has been that Dr.Tamjidi really goes above and beyond for his patients. He understands that they are valuable members of our family, and treats them accordingly. After this incident with my cat, and the history of visits to this clinic for my other two pets, I can confidently say that Toronto North Animal Hospital is a caring, informed, and up to date medical clinic and I am so happy that I have found my pets such a wonderful Vet. I must also add, that this clinic was very affordable and completely opposite to other clinics which are over-priced and pushy.

I am surprised at the number of positive reviews for this clinic. Our experience was not positive. We brought our sick pet to them and we were not allowed into the clinic, while our pet was examined. Dr Tamjidi came out and said that the pet should be euthanized, but we were still not allowed in, while our pet was put down. Payment was made in the parking lot but not to the clinic, to Dr Tamjidi personally. We repeatedly asked for an invoice but never received one. The bill was $570. Later and sadly, we had to euthanize another of our old pets, and this time we went to the largest and best emergency vet hospital, in the GTA, where we were allowed to come in, and when it was decided that euthanasia was necessary we were given a separate private room nicely decorated, were allowed as much time as we needed with our pet, before and after, and were later provided with the ashes in a beautiful urn with the pet's name, etc. We paid the hospital and received a detailed invoice, and the total charges were a few dollars more than Toronto North. Judge for yourself.

Doctor T is a super straightforward guy. I haven't taken my dog to a vet in a verryyy long time. Being a senior dog now (14 yr old Maltese), she HAD to be taken somewhere. Dr T's very professional. He examined my dog and told me exactly what work she needs. He didn't try to pressure me into making a decision right there and showed me breakdowns of the dental cleaning procedure, which is what my dog needs. His office is nice and clean and very homey. My dog was surprisingly not as fussy as I thought and I'm pretty sure it was because of the atmosphere here. Very reasonable prices too; nothing outrageous. If you research vet prices, Dr T's are pretty much average numbers.

The most awesome vet I have ever had the pleasure of having, would highly recommend him. He loves animals and cares about your pets well being as much as you. He doesn't push services, only does was is truly needed. He's been great for providing information over the phone when dogs haven't been well, verese telling me to come in, tells me to come in if his recommendation doesn't work and whatever the issue is persists. He doesn't over price, better rates than most other vets. He's open everyday of the week and has after hours number to call for emergencies. I live on the border of Oakville in Mississauga and drive into Toronto to see him, refuse to give him up as a vet, he's just to awesome to go anywhere else. He offers a variety of services and has special promotions at different times. One of the few vets that if your dog has dietary issues with store bought dog food and you start making your own, will tell you too keep it up if you get lazy and go back to store bought. That happened to me, my dogs can't eat the store bought stuff and once I got to busy and bought store food again and it resulted in some serious issues and he told me to go back too making their food and I haven't stopped since. His staff is also fabulous and extremely friendly with smiles all the time.

One is the lowest rating i could give or it would be a lot lower. I brought my dog here not too long ago because his bum had swelled up and had trouble pooing. I was worried about him so i took him to this vet, biggest mistake ever. He looked at my dog for about 1 minute, didnt even inspect the swelling he had on his bum, he looked at it and that was it. Me and my girlfriend were told the swelling on his bum was from straining to poo.He suggested that i change my dog's diet and walk him for longer periods, this would help with his constipation and his swelling. I did as the vet suggested and my dog's health and the swelling continued to worsen over weeks. I decided to take my dog to a different vet for a second opinion. After taking our dog to the second vet, we were unfortunately told that our dog had cancer, and the swelling on his bum was the result of several tumors. Our dog was in pain, and we felt horrible. We were informed that the best option for us, would be to put him down since the little time he had left would have been painful. That was the hardest decision we had to make, and we will always think now, what if we took him to a different vet rather than Toronto North. Please, if your dog is sick or needs a check up, please keep the little guys away from this place. What a great vet and staff! Dr Tamjidi has been looking after my beloved dog Suzi for 3 years now. I could not recommend him more, I always recieve a warm and friendly reception when I bring Suzi. Even when the hospital is busy Dr Tamjidi spends time with every client and never makes you feel rushed. This vet is very knowledgeable and explains everything clearly. Dr. Tamjidi met our cat Max 2 weeks ago after an altercation with another animal. Max was in rough shape and we were very worried about him. We hadn't been to the Toronto North Animal Hospital before, but they took Max in right away. Dr. Tamjidi found bite marks with abscesses and treated him successfully and with a genuine kindness, compassion and interest that he extended, not only to Max, but also to us. We will definitely make Dr Tamjidi our family Vet and would highly recommend him. His office staff were also very friendly and helpful. On a side note, we never had to wait past our appointment times and the location is convenient with ample parking out back. Thanks again to Dr. Tamjidi and staff for caring for Maxie!

Great vet! Dr. Tamjidi was excellent; my cat was very sick for a few days so I wanted to take him in for a check up. I was able to get a same day appointment, and it was very reasonably priced considering all the tests and time he spent with us. He even called a few times after the appointment with more advice and just to check up on my kitty. Very compassionate, accommodating, and affordable; would highly recommend!

Dr Tamjidi is a very humble and experienced veterinarian. We are very pleased with all his staff, his services and their availability even during weekends or after closing hours. Moreover, he charges very reasonable prices, in general half a price of our previous veterinarian. To us, the perfect combo! Particularly, our dog presented some lumps and Dr Tamjidi guided us to take the best decision without spending a lot of money performing some unnecessary tests. Dr Tamjidi conducted surgery to remove a tumour and our dog had several check-ups to survey the healing complications of the wound with no charge.

My dog Rocky got bitten by another dog he had to get surgery right away. North Animal Hospital did the sugary and took care of him they check him every day to make sure stitches would not be infected I am very happy how the sugary went. This is the first review I’ve done and it is because I am so pleased with the vets and staff of Toronto North Animal Hospital. My boxer recently had a lump removed and Dr. Kariman did an excellent job. My dog had huge lump on her front leg and the size of it almost covered the width of her leg. So you can imagine that there wouldn’t be enough skin to close the wound upon removing the lump. A biopsy was done and Dr. Kariman warned me that due to the nature of the lump there could potentially be complications. With everything taken into consideration I decided to proceed with the procedure. And I’m so glad we did because the histopathology report showed that the lump was cancerous. I was even shocked with how he managed to do the stitching too. Dr. Kariman’s work and expertise exceeded my expectation. It’s been two weeks and she had her stitches removed last week. The wound is healing nicely and no infection occurred. I also like to say that I have been going to Toronto North Animal Hospital since 2012. The prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly and professional. Both Dr. Tamjidi and Dr. Kariman are knowledgeable, caring and they don’t rush you. I appreciate that the doctors let me stay with my dog during certain tasks i.e. blood withdrawal because it gives me the chance to reassure her when she’s afraid. It’s a clean and interactive clinic. I highly recommend it.

Too expensive. It charged me around $160 for my cat's first vaccine shot with ok service. I switched to another clinic for the second shot. The second clinic charged about $80 with excellent service.

Took my pup here for the first time to get some regular vavcines. The receptionist was very friendly and answered all my questions, in person as well as through email. Their prices are very reasonable. The vet was very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. Will be coming here from now on.

I brought my two kitties here for their shots and a check up, and my cat carrier broke right as I walked into the vet! My cats took off and Dr. Behrooz and his lovely assistant helped collect them, bring them back to the table, and were able to do all the work; even cut their nails, without any trouble. I will take my kitties here and no where else for a long time. :)

Dr. Tamjidi made fast friends with my fearful kitty. While his office charges considerably less for the teeth cleaning recommended by my current vet, his opinion was that it wasn't necessary at this point. We walked away with a $6 bag of dental food instead of a $1200 dental surgery. The plan is to move my cats' treament over to him soon.

I visited this place based on the positive reviews I read on here. I arrived to what was basically an unclean house that was completely empty except for the veterinarian. He got me to fill out the forms while he finished eating. We then went into the exam room for him to have a consultation for a dental procedure. The exam was thorough and satisfactory. He then had to take blood to do some tests, however since there was no one else there I had to act as the vet tech. and hold my poor little dog while she was squirming and carrying on. In the end we couldn’t get the blood. It all felt very unprofessional and I didn’t feel safe leaving my pup there for the dental surgery, as it seemed like it would take place in the same dirty room that the exam took place in. Edited to add: I was not made aware that the staff had left either before or after I arrived to the appointment. I feel that the more professional route would have been to call me and reschedule the appointment.

We are so grateful to Dr. Tamjidi and the rest of his team for their wonderful care of our cat Jeremy during his time of need. When the emergency hospital was prohibitively expensive and our regular vet was "too busy" to handle a transfer case, we thought we were out of options. Dr. Tamjidi was the only one who listened to our desperation and was able to see Jeremy on the same day (during the COVID-19 pandemic). He provided wonderful, professional care at a price that we could afford, and showed amazing sensitivity and kindness that meant so much to us. Do your pet a favor and DO NOT take them to Dr.Tamjidi, He is the worse veterinarian I've ever seen in my life, he gives your pet the expired medicines and doesn't even care, he just wants to charge you so much and that's it, his knowledge is not updated at all, he doesn't know what he's doing basically!! Their boarding system is horrible, so irresponsible & careless, I know someone that lost their beloved cat because of his careless actions! which is crazy sad! just don't go there, if you read the reviews none of them are recent reviews, all are a few years old, so please be careful and do not trust this clinic at all.

We could not be happier with TNAH and Dr. Tamjidi! We've been taking our dog there for a couple years for routine check ups and shots, and recently for a much more urgent reason. Our dog was attacked by another dog on a walk and Dr. Tamjidi saw us the moment we walked in the door. He calmly assessed her wounds and scheduled her for emergency surgery that afternoon. After carefully explaining the process and what we could expect as possible complications, we left her in very capable hands. Just a couple short weeks later and she has made a remarkable recovery, with no complications following surgery! Dr. Tamijdi and his staff were very positive to work with and always made us feel comfortable during our frequent visits. I would highly recommend this clinic for very professional, competent care for your animal! We're very thankful our furry friend is happy and healthy again and we owe it all to TNAH!

This is by far the most reliable and trustworthy vet I've ever been to. They don't charge you for many things that other vets do. Dr. Tamjidi won't charge for consultation most of the time. I also met Dr. Raza today who was a pleasure to speak to and very understanding. My dog has been coming here since we moved to Toronto. Highly recommend the veterinarians here!

Didn’t have a great experience… came here with my puppy for her puppy spots.. vet was very unprofessional, took her in and came out without even providing any details and gave me the bill to pay without telling me anything. I don’t trust them at all, they only care about $$! Came back to give them another try when she was having rash and they made me purchase antibiotics, shampoo that was expiring in 2 months and the antibiotics/ shampoo didn’t work at all! Very upsetting and waste of money! Don’t trust!

I cannot express my love for this vet enough!! After years of being over charged by vets in the Bathurst and Wilson area by vets who clearly only cared about money I found this haven! My dog Barley is not a easy dog, mind you he’s a teacup yorkie. Dr. T and the vets here handle him with such care! If I ever have to leave him, they always make sure I feel comfortable and they explain in DETAIL exactly what they will be doing. The prices are beyond reasonable, they don’t try to over charge or do unnecessary tests to your dog. I love them being Barleys vet. All the pets are lucky to have this vet in North York. How someone could write a bad review is ridiculous.
