Great clinic. My dog is very large and fearful. I've been with bowhill for 2 visits but never had anything close to a problem. Friendly staff who really care. I read great reviews online and after checking them out, I am very pleased to add my own. :)

Good prices, but not as thorough as other vets in the area who are a little bit more expensive. Transferred clinics and promptly discovered a chronic issues that I'd been mentioning for years at this clinic that had been dismissed actually requires surgical intervention and testing I had been told I did not need. Dr. Rappaport is friendly and cares about animals and the staff are accommodating and kind. This clinic was amazing for other pets I've had in the past, but if you have concerns that are being dismissed as minor I would suggest getting a second opinion.

I have used Bowhill Animal Clinic for as long as I have owned pets. They have been my sole vet for my cats and now my lovely senior dog. They are kind, compassionate and caring. Anya has amazing experience with her own brood of dogs, and has seen it all. Never a test is ordered that you don't need, and when they need to refer up to a larger clinic with more diagnostic opportunities or experience, they do, without a thought. I have always appreciated the wonderful service I receive from this clinic, and highly recommend.

Small office tucked in beside the Value Village but super friendly staff, makes me feel like a valued customer each visit. The practice was sold a while back but both old and new vets are wonderful! Thanks for taking care of our dog and cats!

Wonderful vet clinic with staff that genuinely care about your pets! It's easy to book an appointment at Bowhill, they take covid protocols seriously, and have reasonable fees for their services. Whenever we take our fur baby to the vet they take the time to listen to our concerns and address them, while providing compassionate care. Dr Farid is patient, knowledgeable and kind, and explains pet care options to you without pressuring you or rushing you through a decision. The support staff are lovely and they have 2 very cute in house cats that we always keep an eye out for when we go in. If you are looking for a new vet clinic I recommend Bowhill, we have recieved great pet care here and are very appreciative to have them looking after our fur baby.

I was nervous taking my dog Lyla to get her spay but Bowhill took great care of her. The doctor explained to us the procedure and any medication required for her in the recovery process. They even called me each morning for the next couple days to check in on her and make sure she is alright. Top notch quality, we are lucky to have them!

My cat had been drooling for days and I had never had a cat or gone to a vet before. Bowhill Animal Clinic has a friendly receptionist who answered the phone and all my questions (hours of operations, appointment booking, cost, etc.). The clinic is small and has a very homey feel to it. There appears to only be 1 vet working at a time and 1 exam room. Both the receptionist and vet were very friendly and personable. My cat is pretty calm to begin with but the vet was very gentle with her (she owns cats herself) and explained what she was doing throughout the exam. The appointments who came before and after me where both for dogs, and the owners were friendly people. This gives me a good indication of the kind of clientele and in turn, the kind of clinic this is. I would definitely recommend and return to this clinic.

They refused to treat my seriously sick dog because of another Vet who slandered my name because I wrote a negative google review about their practice. Bowhill does not put your animal first, they are more worried about how their reputation reflects online and how quickly their pockets can get filled. DO NOT GO HERE!

This clinic is fantastic! I took my little puppy Millie there today and they were so accommodating at my last minute request for an appointment and the vet was awesome. He was very detailed and professional and so good with Millie. He even provided me estimates for future visits and managed my expectations as to what to expect from today's visit and the coming days. This clinic is very fairly priced and doesn't price gouge or create extra work for no value. I'll be a lifer here, they've gained our families trust!

I have always received good service here. Katherine, Jill & Sandra are kind, reasonable & compassionate people. Dr. Farid is calm, understanding & he listens to your concerns. Just make sure you do your part to ask questions & be educated on any medical issues your breed is prone to, especially as your furbaby gets older. Unfortunately our little furbabies can't speak. Preforming tests is often the only way to figure out what's wrong. Sadly, this can get very expensive & not everyone can afford it. Nevertheless this is a good clinic with fair prices. I am always treated well.

Even after the process they sent me a card. This is why when I adopted another kitty, I knew they had to be the ones to take care of him. I am writing this review to provide an honest review and warning to potential pet owners who may be considering going to this clinic. My partner and I have experience in the medical field, in the clearest of terms, I believe that this veterinarian - Dr. Farid is not providing care that meets minimum professional standards in that his approach to diagnosis is unsafe and below par. About a month ago, we brought our new Devon Rex kitten to the clinic for an initial visit after adopting adopting him a few days prior. We had 2 distinct issues we wanted to be addeessed: skin lesions and a cloudy eye. The most pressing issue was his cloudy eye, which the owner had told us was from a scratch a few days prior when playing with other kittens. Dr. Farid did place the correct type of eye drops into his eye to check for a scratch. From his brief 1-2 second assessment of his eye, he concluded there was no scratch and concluded thst his cloudiness was from "edema." This is not a diagnosis. This is a physical finding. He did not attempt to generate another hypothesis or even rule out important vision impairing such as a viral infection or a corneal ulcer. Furthermore, he did not even test his vision. He ultimately sent us home with antibiotic drops which did not improve his eye as he did not have a bacterial infection. Later, we went to a different vet thst had an ophthalmology service and it was confirmed to be a corneal ulcer - a painful and potentially vision impairing injury that requires tight follow up. Our cat could have been blind due to his negligence. The second issue we specifically asked about was his skin, which multiple small red and scaled patches. I was especially worried about this as Devon rexes are predisposed to skin conditions given their short fur. His entire examination consisted of running his hand along the kittens back and then concluding that these were play marks from other cats. He failed to do other important parts of a dermatologic exam including: close examination of an individual spot, looking at the rest of the body to document distribution, and offering to do cultures / biopsies if needed. Furthermore, he did not provide instructions on how to care for his skin or when to seek further care. A few weeks later, my partner and I also started to develop similar lesions all over our bodies. When we finally went to another vet, they did a PCR test and confirmed that it was ringworm and that everyone in our householf had been infected and we all require treatment . Now, the infection on our kitten has become so systemic that he needs oral antifungal treatment. We are also not able to cuddle him until his intention clears, which will be weeks. Overall, my experience with Dr. Fahid is they he is a dangerous provider who does not meet minimum professional standards. By rushing the assessment and not having a comprehensive approach and good knowledge base, he is at high risk for missing both common and dangerous health conditions. Bottom line, I am not confident that if my pet were to get cancer, his assessment would be able to detect it in time to provide life saving treatment. Perhaps this is a one-off unusual tual performance by Dr. Fahid, but as a pet owner, I wish I had a better sense of his practice before I went there. I hope this review has helped you to make an informed choice. P. S. The clinic staff are wonderful and helped make the experience comfortable for our little kitten.

Worst vet clinic in the city. I am a long term customer who travels 45 minutes just to go there. I drove down to get a refill on the prescription THEY had prescribed to me the last time I was there for my cats. Because they did not keep adequate records of medication THEY prescribed and the weekend vet was in instead of my regular vet, they REFUSED to refill the medication. We wasted 45 min getting there...30mins arguing with them and an hour driving home in traffic. Ridiculous... taking my business elsewhere.

I will not be returning here. After 12 years of using this clinic I brought my dog in on a Saturday 15 minutes before closing time without an appointment. I asked if the vet would take a quick look at his eye infection. The receptionist replied that appointments were finished for the day and the doctor was on the phone. I said I would wait, that I was a customer for 12 years and this was the first time I had requested anything unusual. I had to make it clear to her that I expected her to go and ask the doctor to see him very briefly. She reluctantly did so. To my surprise and disgust she returned and advised me that the doctor would not see him today. I told her she could advise the doctor they had just lost a long term customer. Not much caring at this clinic.

Amazing clinic. They really care about the animals and do not try to scam you for every penny you have. They did an amazing job taking care of my kitten who had diarrhea. They made me feel extremely comfortable and provide amazing service. I highly recommend this clinic.

I do not recommend this clinic to anyone. I took my cat here to be spayed. the stitches were really bad and the doctor were not helpful in any shape or form. if you don't want to see your pet in pain and misery, don't choose this place.
