We arrived early for our appointment and I had my twin toddlers with me. The ladies at the front supplied my kids with crayons and coloring pages while we waited. Everyone at Westview Vet is super friendly and compassionate. I had to put down our previous family dog in 2014 and they treated us so wonderfully. They didn’t rush us and let us spend as much time in the room before and after. I HIGHLY recommend this veterinarian.

I can't get Westview Vets to stop contacting me. I've had to call three times. They email, send cards and phone me. It's ridiculous. When I called again to ask to be removed from any of their communications the person at the front desk was so rude. I can't believe it. She really thinks it's their right to contact me with advertising. Astonishing.

We are so pleased to have been referred here by Bravo Dog Training! The wonderful staff at Westview understood our concerns, both medical and behavioural, and worked with us to gently introduce our large mixed breed puppy to their clinic with positive results. After experiencing a multitude of traumatizing vet visits at other clinics, our dog was developing worrisome aggressive reactivity towards people and new situations. I can't say enough good things about our experience at Westview. Rusty LOVES all the staff (especially Farleigh!) and we've been able to successfully start to navigate his food allergies with their help.

The staff are very friendly. They helped look after my rambunctious toddlers while I waited for my appointment - super appreciated! The doctors have many years experience and are very thorough with assessments and diagnostics. Follow up was also thorough and friendly. They're not the cheapest vet out there but I think it's fair and in this case you really do get what you pay for. I definitely would recommend this vet.

We've been using these folks for about 3.5 years. They are good and helpful. We're still going there despite having moved a ways away. The only negative is the parking lot, which is awful, but is not their fault.

I went to Westview for a second opinion on my cat since my previous vet has been unable to diagnose her despite numerous blood tests and appointments. She would not eat despite being prescribed mirtazapine and since my past vet said there was nothing wrong with her, I was incredibly worried - she kept getting thinner and thinner. I made an appointment with Dr. Jeff who did a new set of blood tests, gave her subcutaneous fluids and showed me how to administer them at home. By the next morning she was racing to the food bowl, way more active and Westview called me back with blood test results. We are continuing to look for the underlying cause with an ultrasound. Dr Jeff gave me multiple options of paths we can take to determine the problem. This stuff is expensive of course but the fees they charge are totally reasonable. I will be moving to Westview for primary care for all of my cats and would absolutely recommend them. The reception staff and veterinary assistance are also incredibly caring.

If you are looking for a very friendly experience at the vet, this is the place to go. The receptionist says hi to every person and pet as they come and go, and the vets do the same thing. When I was in the waiting area I saw both vets come out to greet clients and their pets, and thought it was really cool that they had so much interest in people and their little creatures.

We LOVE Westview and can't believe how lucky we are to live within 20 minutes of this clinic! Our fearful dog has such a hard time with car rides and being around people so naturally vet visits are really tough for us. The staff at Westview are so understanding and have gone above and beyond to make sure that our dog's visits are as low stress as possible. Every interaction we've had (whether it's over the phone, at a visit or at reception) has been positive and productive. We have been working with Dr. Jackie Lougheed for a year now and can't imagine going anywhere else.

I am a dog walker and occasionally board dogs in North Vancouver. Today I noticed extreme swelling in and around the eye and jaw of one of my clients dogs who is staying in my care (tooth abscess/infection caused by old laceration) . I immediately called Westview(the dogs vet) and they were extremely helpful. The parents at the time were unable to phone the vet as they were both traveling back to Vancouver. Luckily we were able to get an appointment that day and fit her in for an examination. I am ever grateful at how easy the situation was dealt with and that there was no issues with me bringing her in as I am not her registered owner. The staff at Westview is top notch and clearly care immensely about there four legged clients. I would highly recommend their services!

I took my Dobie pup there for his second set of vaccinations, and really, really liked them. The receptionist was super friendly, and the vet was enthusiastic about having a Doberman pup as a patient. He's dealt with Dobies in the past and really, really loves the breed. Looking forward to a long relationship with them!

The team at Westview Veterinary Services really do this for the love of the animals. When my rescue kitty was poisoned they worked so hard to save him. Dr Sommerfeld even called on her day off, before she had any results, just to see how her patient was doing. Orange kitty made a full recovery and I would never trust anyone else to care for my fur babies.

I wouldn't even want to give them one star anymore. After being the place I've taken all my pets too in the past three years I never had a problem until this last visit. They were always really nice and accommodating for me, at least the front staff was. Though my dog and I just had his last visit ever there due to the veterinarian hitting my dog in front of me, and my dog is only 5 pounds. Due to that I would NOT recommend this place to anybody wishing to fix their pet. Find another place! ****** I would like to update this and say the woman in charge of doing that is no longer working there so I have no further complaints everybody else there has always been extremely nice and professional.

Worst vets ever... definitely find someone else for your pet and finances. They misdiagnosed a gum infection in our Golden Retriever (said it would "go away on its own" which it didn't) and it unfortunately was not caught properly until we got a new vet when we moved away. They will also push unnecessary/expensive procedures and were not trustworthy.

My cat actually seems to enjoy visiting the vet...! PS. Thank you to the team for remaining (safely) available for our sick pets through these current times.

Phenomenal service at Westview. Dr. Jeff Bowra is extremely personable and kind. I always feel that he is honest and open about procedures and what you are paying for. I have been to other clinics that are cheaper but very unethical and cut corners with procedures. Westview is extremely professional and the best option if you have a pet on the North Shore. The reception is also very friendly and welcoming. In particular, I have had very positive encounters with Olivia, Callie, and Danielle. I cannot talk this place up enough!! The best possible place for optimal pet care.

My wife and I adopted two rescue cats and after reading reviews and doing to research into the vet clinics on the North Shore we felt the Westview Vet Clinic would be the best choice, and we were not wrong. The front office staff are quick and efficient with us, and full of care and affection for our two cats when they are brought in. It is a stressful time when you have to go to the vet with a sick or injured cat and knowing that we will be met there by people who care for animals is a huge relief. Dr. Bowra and Dr. Lougheed are also amazing to deal with and we have had experience with both. They care for the animals well being first and foremost and also helped us with understanding what was taking place. They don't offer tests or scans for the sake of it and really limit the stress experienced by the animals they are caring for. All of which is appreciated. Each time one of our cats was injured or sick (One time each) they were quick to get us an appointment that day or first thing the next day, and always checked up with us in the following days to see how the recovery was coming. I'd never hesitate to recommend Westview Vet to anyone who needed one.

The team at Westview Services have been phenomenal, providing exceptional care to our dog Caillou the past 18+ months, right through to his last day with us a week ago. Our dog was diagnosed with Cushings Disease a while ago, then developed diabetes and finally congenital heart disease last November. Throughout the whole time, Caillou received exceptional care from Dr Jeff and Dr Jacqui, who both took the time to explain what was going on, worked in partnership with us to determine the best course of treatment, referred us when they felt a different expertise was required, checked-in and responded to emails even when they were off duty and made sure our dog received the best care throughout this experience. The staff at Westview Veterinary Services including Ashley, Rebecca and Shaylene were supportive, accommodating and caring. A very special thank you to Danilelle for her kindness and compassion which helped us get through what was an extremely difficult experience. My family is deeply grateful to each and everyone of you for all that you did for Caillou, and for the care and concern you showed us as his family. I switched to Westview Vet Services a few years ago, and it was the best decision I ever made. When your dog shows excitement rather than fear when he walks into the vet, you know they are doing something right! Thank you for all that you did for Caillou, and for making him, and us, feel like we were part of your extended family.

We have had two pet incidents in the last several months. A cat with a thyroid issue and a recent neutering. We had the friendliest and most knowledgeable service possible with follow up phone calls to check in with us. Wilson our precious Golden Retriever was neutered and is healing fast. Horrible customer service and highly unprofessional. I wish I could give half a star or less. I went in there to order special pet food. First off, there are 3 or 4 receptionists who didnt even raise their heads to acknowledge me or offer any assistance. Finally, I approached one of them who seemed very disengaged and disinterested in helping me order pet food. She had to seek help from one of the other girls and they didnt know where to look for the food I was looking for. Finally after they are flipping pages back and forth, they said that the order would be in next week and I would be notified so I could pay and pick up then. Next week comes around and I never receive a call from them, so I drop by and ask them about my order which at this point had been 10 days since the placement. Again, same attitude, no one greets you, no one even bothers to look at you and when I inform them that I am here to pick up the pet food. They all look puzzled. The girl who was talking to me does not even bother to get up, she just points to some food by the wall and says thats what was delivered if its not there then I dont know. Another girl goes to look at the food and says sorry its not here and upon further digging she says, we never even placed an order. I walked out at that point and will never ever go back. If this is the way they handle a simple task of ordering food, I cant even imagine how they deal with the pets.
