I brought my beloved and very sick cat to the Vancouver Downtown Pet Hospital yesterday. They were able to see her the day I called. I was a wreck with worry. Dr. Alan Namazi aka Dr. Alan was incredibly kind, thorough, considerate, prudent (sought my permission before every procedure, treatment, etc., after I said I was on a budget.) He even brought me a bottle of water when he saw how teary and frazzled I was. Sat with me in the exam room going over her x-rays, explained the situation as he saw it with great detail and no sense of rushing, just great competent, compassionate care. He and his staff were very gentle with my sick kitty. I was so relieved when I left and so grateful. All the staff were stars as well. My bill was manageable, and my kitty is doing better. The clinic is beautiful and though I've just had the one experience, I can't recommend them highly enough. Yaletown is lucky to have this new pet hospital!

Farley had to have a very uncomfortable procedure. Dr. Alan is kind compassionate and most importantly so gentle with him. He patiently explains procedures to be sure I understand and I am confident to proceed. I truly love this clinic! It is a place where I completely trust them with my two kittens. It is an incredibly clean clinic that continues to be spotless everytime I have stepped into the building. The staff are incredibly sweet, knowledgeable and really take the time to converse and listen to what you are saying. In regards to Dr. Alan Namazi, he is a very caring and knowledgeable Vetinarian. Each time I have taken my kitten, he gives her a thorough checkup and asks questions to make sure he is accurately up to date with everything. He listens to any and every concern I bring up and always answers any questions I have. I am extremely grateful that I came across this clinic. I would definitely reccomend the clinic for anyone that is looking for a reliable Vetinarian!

Dr. Alan Namazi and his team are attentive, transparent and compassionate. I’m frankly quite a high maintenance client when it comes to my dogs. We have had several unfortunate experiences with other vets in the city where they were dismissive and unprofessional. With Dr. Alan. I feel truly listened to, he is also willing to explain our options thoroughly while having my sweet girl Lexi’s best interest at heart! Dr Alan and his team are excellent! I took my new adopted dog to see Dr.Alan because I found this dog probably had worm issue. I was so nervous about it. Dr. Alan give him a overall check up and told me his other problem I never noticed. Dr. Alan is very warm and professional. He does not suggest any unnecessary cost item, he is really thinking for the clients. I am so glad my dog is in their hand.

Dr Alan took the time to calmly explain everything we wanted to know, he actively listened to us, and examinated our dog with care. I like he kept asking me if I had any more questions. Also, he gave us the time to process the information he was sharing which was helpful. Hannah from reception has great customer service skills, she was very informative when I gave her a call.

I took my 8 years old maltipoo who was complaining of pain for no apparent reason. Dr. Alan was super nice and professional. The examination office allowed my dog to relax and get comfortable. She was handled with care, and is feeling better. She has all her exams up to date as she's getting into her senior years. Finally, the personnel are so friendly and helpful, with a very fast response. I'm very happy with the experience.

Dr Alan is very knowledgeable and kind. He will not prescribe unnecessary medication. We were also asked to pop in if we are passing just to say hello or weigh our little dog to Get her used to being there as a pleasure not as a punishment. Great to have a local great veterinarian.

My dog Oliver had an unfortunate run-in with a skunk last week. None of the home remedies could touch the stench, and I was absolutely beside myself. On a neighbourhood walk, I noticed Vancouver Downtown Pet Hospital and decided to just poke my head and ask if they had anything they could recommend for Oliver's fumes. NB: Oliver is not a patient at this clinic. The lovely receptionist/vet assistant popped into the back and at no charge handed me a bottle of the formula they use on their patients. And it worked!! And regardless, even if it hadn't, it was a lovely kindness and very representative of our Yaletown dog community. Thank-you!

Amazing doctors and incredible staff. Super helpful and reliable they always call when they say they are going to. Been in search of a new vet for quite some time as my poor bully keeps getting mistakes and misdiagnosis done to her by vets. The worst, losing an eye from a wrong diagnosis and not answering my frantic calls for days..... Brought 3 rescues we are currently fostering to Dr. Namazi, and he was amazing! I’m usually one to shy away from writing a review, but I feel a lot of pet parents would feel ever so lucky to find a caring doctor. Honestly I don’t know know where to start. I have not enough words to say how amazing and caring Dr. Alan Namazi and his team have been. His brand new state of the art clinic, his vast knowledge, true passion for animals, all his wisdom and help have been a life charger for our family, as our dog suffers from many chronic conditions. Dr. Alan has taken a lot of his time to teach me about his conditions and how to prevent flare ups. For the first time ever, I feel confident and have the knowledge and tools to help prevent bad episodes. No other Vet that we have seen over the years has been this throughout and caring. I feel so incredibly lucky to have him as our family vet, he goes above and beyond and truly loves what he does which reflects on the care he provides. He is beloved by our dog and family. We are incredibly grateful to him and his wonderful team.

Worst vet ever. Like a leech that feed off the care we hold for our furry family members. Charged 590 dollars for a simple diarrhea case. First he told me at least 4 different illness my dog could have had just by looking. Took the x ray, told me he can’t be sure of the reading and recommended sending the films to US for a second read, for an additional 300 dollars. Couldn’t tell if he was simply incompetent or a greedy man that will squeeze everything out of your pocket while he has the chance. Likely both. Made me question where the good reviews came from.

When my puppy had a diarrhea just before the Christmas, they are the only clinic who took her in on Dec 23. Dr. Namazi was very nice and took time to explain thoroughly also allowing me to ask many questions about having a new puppy.
