These guys were amazing. I'm typically a little skeptical of vets as in the past it has felt like a cash grab at times. The vet provided us with great info, was helpful and not pushy. The office staff gave me a discount as it was my first time visiting there and even followed up the next day with a thoughtful email. I travel a lot and have had to use many vets from Montreal to Vancouver and this was BY FAR my best experience. Thanks guys!!!

We took our 4yo Lab in for yearly immunizations. The staff there were friendly, shared a lot of knowledge and were really kind to my dog. We will be going back for ongoing care. We even got a call the day following immunizations to make sure that our dog was okay.

This morning, my 11 month old puppy ate a toxic flower and needed immediate medical attention. Most of the vet clinics I called on the north shore either had their doctors in surgery, or their only response was to have me drive over town to try and get her into an emergency clinic. I called the staff at North Van pet hospital and they instantly got Dr. Mehdi on the phone with me and he got Gracey and I in within minutes. The staff was very patient with me while I was mid-panic, they took action right away to help Gracey, and at the end Dr. Mehdi came out to explain the process and to give me more information on the plant and toxicity. I am so very grateful to the staff at North Vancouver Pet Hospital.

NEVER GO HERE. We went there because our Guinea pig was sick. The doctor named Mehdi gave us dog food. I'm not kidding. Dog food. When I was telling him that he gave us meat, he was actually defending himself, saying that it was just my own opinion.Never going back there again.

My cat wasn't feeling well and I called and managed to get a same-day appointment! At my old vet's office it would likely have been weeks to get in. The techs and the vet were kind, helpful and thorough. My very anxious cat was the best behaved I've ever seen him and they even had to take a blood sample so that's saying a lot. It was a welcoming place with kind, friendly staff. I was very impressed with North Van's pet hospital.

Can't say enough good things about North Van Pet Hospital. The location is very easy to find and there are a few parking spots right in front. Our corgi X Louie was having some digestive issues and he was excessively licking his paws. During the annual checkup we discussed the issues with Dr. Mehdi. He made a treatment plan that involved some immediate relief for Louie along with a dietary plan that worked like magic. We bought the food from the clinic as well and to our surprise we paid pretty much the same amount for a much higher quality food which is only available to veterinarians. We used Acana before which is also considered high quality but we can totally feel the difference in Louie and it feels great to know we're giving him a balanced high quality food. Also you know you're at the right place if your dog doesn't want to leave the clinic. He was getting so much love :) Thank you, you're awesome

Dr. Mehdi has been my saving grace for both cats and dogs. At one time, I brought to him a kitten that I rescued from a raccoon, and he treated the kitten entirely for free, just out of the goodness in his heart! They are quick to accommodate and the staff are all knowledgeable and friendly. I know this Vet is transparent, and I can trust them. Thank you Dr. Mehdi!

We were passing by the clinic for years and only rushed to it for help as the closest location when tragedy happened. Dr. Mehdi Hassanzadeh is truly amazing! We brought our 9-year-old cat to him almost dying from liver malfunction and 2 weeks later our Patches is recovering and started eating. Dr. Mehdi showed a great deal of compassion and care for both - our pet and us in this critical situation. He encouraged us to bring the cat for a check-up multiple times to ensure the treatment helps and checked on the progress via phone. The staff has been very good to us too and always very attentive to any of our needs like unconventional work schedule. The doctor came to work over a weekend (out of his regular working hours) to be able to operate on her. BIG THANKS to Dr. Mehdi Hassanzadeh and his clinic - we have never seen this level of service anywhere else. Highly recommend to all pet owners.

I would give them more stars if I could!!!I called in on a busy Friday about my very sick dog, they took me in no questions asked and they looked after my every need or should I say my dogs very need Oh and did I mention that I wasn’t a client there ? Guess what I am now, my own vet who I have been going to for over twenty years blew me off. Couldn’t give a damn well this vet did and was amazing. The young ladies there are articulate and friendly. I was not impressed with this vet at all, he was rude to his receptionist in front of me and other customers for making an honest mistake. My bill doubled from what he told me it would be. When I brought my dogs in he forgot who they were. I decided to switch vets and when I tried to get my prescription refill from their office he didn’t want to give it to me as he seemed resentful that I switch and said he no longer had my records (even though it was weeks ago) Don’t go here. Bad service.

Dr. Mehdi is patient, knowledgeable, and good at what he does. I'm always confident that when I go in for a visit I can trust that he's making a correct diagnosis in an efficient manner (read cost effective). I've gone to vets before who want to do all sorts of tests which piles up the costs to hundreds to thousands of dollars for minor ailments. I have no problem recommending him to fellow animal lovers. It's worth going out of the way to visit him, even if you're in other areas of the North Shore.

Dr. Medhi always provides excellent care for my little dog Ebi. On this most recent visit he personally did Ebi’s nail trim so two new vets could be introduced to some of the clinics challenging patients, as is Ebi, wanting to bite out of fear. Dr. Medhi’s calm manner wins Ebi over each time. Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Medhi & the clinic. Would definitely recommend to all pet owners.

Dr. Mehdi and Brittaney his vet tech run a really great practice. They have been looking after my dog "Stella" who is an anxious 125lb Rottweiler who is terrified of going to the vet. As it's already a stressful situation for myself and my dog I am so grateful that they are so flexible , patient and sensitive to her issues. Dr. Mehdi will personally return my calls if I have any questions or concerns and see her promptly if needed.

All of the staff here are super friendly and experienced! We've had quite a few health scares with our 15 year old schnauzer poodle but thanks to North Vancouver Pet Hospital Timmy is happy and healthy. It's very reasonably priced and they only recommend scans/tests that they think are actually necessary. We have been to other vets previously that have tried to push us to have absolutely everything ordered. It's refreshing to know that at NVPH they aren't looking for money and they genuinely care about your pets health!

Dr. Mehdi helped us with an emergency over the holidays while most of the other clinics were closed. He was extremely caring and went above and beyond to make sure our cat Beau was on the mend and doing better, even going as far as to be available to share results on his day off. I appreciate how he ran the essential tests needed but still tried to keep our costs down. We are so thankful and are very impressed with the treatment Beau received. I will definately continue to take my dog to this hospital. The hospital was also very clean and very nicely designed. On the side note, I have taken my dog to many other places as well but im confident to say that this hospital is my favorite in Vancouver.

Both my Cat and Dog got Neutered/Spayed at North Vancouver Pet Hospital. No problems whatsoever! Took a few hours for the sedatives to wear off. Afterwards they were both able to drink water and eat food. Definitely recommend them to all pet parents.

My dog Charlie was very ill recently and because our usual Vet was unavailable, I decided to try the North Vancouver Pet Hospital. Best decision I have made in awhile. Not only did they make room to see Charlie right away, the office staff was extremely friendly and courteous who clearly love animals. Dr. Mehdi was extremely competent and professional and actually took the time to clearly explain what the plan of action he was going take with respect to Charlie's treatment. In addition, he took the time to answer all of the many questions I had in a way I could understand it. Charlie had to stay to get an I.V. but before I left I was given a tour of the facility. It is very clean and orderly with all new equipment which made me feel much more comfortable leaving Charlie there. After Charlie was released later that day, Dr. Mehdi followed up with calls to my home over the next several days to ensure Charlie was doing OK. I am happy to say Charlie is better and I was extremely happy with the level of care. I will be returning without hesitation.
