Brought our beloved dog to get her nails done and other things. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Quick services and plenty of parking in the front street. Located in a convenient area to browse or shop in case you have to leave your pet but don’t have to leave for a long time. Highly recommended. ????

Not sure why this hasn't been reviewed more, Dr. Pawel is an amazing Vet, cared for our 21 year old (yes you read that right), Jack Terrier and cares for my 2.5 year old Border Collie now... The clinic has also cared for two of my cats. Even with a move to Vancouver, I still try to get over to him - I like his no-nonsense approach and his holistic approach, well worth the effort to go over the bridge.

They are OK, very average. A tendency towards holistic medicine rather than conventional medicine, meaning you might end up being forced to visit more than once to resolve the issue because "why dont we try this first to see if this works". Enjoy paying for that. Receptionists tend to enjoy sharing unsolicited opinions with you. Small and cramped space.

Dr Cihon is an amazing gentleman. His care for pets exceeds anything I've ever seen in a Veterinarian. EVER! I stumbled on his establishment when my puppy was really sick. Although we had to put the puppy down Dr. Cihon showed the greatest compassion & care that i have ever seen in a Vet!

So I was very upset when I came to see this Vet hospital for my budgie about 2 months ago. At first I thought it had been a waste of time and money as my budgie's dislocated wing was unfix-able. As a student, losing $90 to a clinic that could do nothing for my bird was very upsetting but looking back now, I am so happy I came here to get my baby bird checked up. He still has a dislocated wing but he is happy and I at least know what the problem had been. The receptionist was very kind and the vet himself was very informative. Thank you!

Dr. Cichon is a very caring and empathetic vet. He explains issues thoroughly. My "Porsha" was given the very best of care during her senior years and the end of life decision was very well done. You can see her picture on the board as Porsha was often there in the end and she loved going there. She sat in the reception chair like she was the mascot. Our pets are family and that's the way this place makes you feel. I now take my daughter's dog to him. I won't go anywhere else.

I used to bring my cat in when I lived in North Vancouver. They were always so helpful and great. I had to complete so many paperworks to bring my cat overseas at one point. As English is my second language, I was nervous to do so much work. So I asked them if they could keep the checklist so we can do it together. They said yes immediately! It took forever to finish but they were always helpful. Also one time I found a tumor on my cat’s skin so we had to check the inside. I was told it might be a cancer. I was crying and crying while I was waiting his surgery to finish. Finally I got a call and I went to get him. Then I was told that was not a cancer! I started crying again and the lady(staff) said he did really great and waiting for you over there! Please hug him♡ (something like that) it was so sweet! She totally knew how I felt!! If I still lived in North Vancouver, I would definitely go there!!

We got our dog Gryphon about a year ago and were having the hardest time finding a vet that we felt a good vibe with. We originally tried one out in Ambleside but a) wanted something a little closer and b) weren't overly thrilled with the vet there. Our great Aunt suggested we see Dr. Cichon and we are so glad we did. Such a pleasant experience bringing Gryphon in. He takes the time to explain the details so we're well informed of what we're giving our dog - no nonsense!

I was looking for a holistic vet clinic to take my puppy, and couldn't be happier with the choice I've made. The team of Lonsdale Veterinary Hospital is awesome in every way possible. They are genuine and its easy to see how much the care about my dog's wellbeing before anything. Doctor Paul is very considerate of my opinions and beliefs when prescribing or giving any guidelines. Nadia, the nurse is also super carrying. I have had many dogs throughout my life, and this is by far the best place. Thank you!

In fact, several have owed their lives to his effective treatment methods. We appreciate the research he does to ensure that he is up-to-date when suggesting approaches to unusual ailments. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Cichon. Over the course of my late dog's almost 17 years of life, we had seen quite a few number of vets, and no other provided the same level of care and professionalism as Dr. Cichon did. He and his staff are super reliable. I've never once had to follow up with them about something they promised to do or get back to me about. Once I make the call, I can trust that it'll be done. Even more importantly, Dr. Cichon is very experienced and knowledgeable. He cares deeply about the furry patients he works with and it's easy to tell. It is for this reason that when a family cat was given a terminal illness diagnosis elsewhere, I knew we couldn't make a decision on euthanasia until I consulted with him first. Speaking with him gave us the confidence to go forward with what we felt was the right thing to do. That's how much I trust his opinion. He even followed up with us several times even though he wasn't the primary vet for our cat's 13 years of life. Although I don't have any other pets at this time, if I ever get anymore, I will for sure be going back to Lonsdale again. And of course, I never hesitate to recommend other pet parents to see Dr. Cichon -- his dedication and care is unmatched.

We bought a purebred French Mastiff from Crimson Pride last year. Poor guy was born with an underdeveloped kidney. This would eventually lead to Epileptic seizures which the little guy would eventually succumb to. The response from. Crimson pride was less than stellar. We again want to thank the good Dr Paul Chichon and his esteemed support group at Lonsdale Veterinary Hospital, for the great attention to detail, exceptional veterinary services and amazing support, during the healing process for Valentino, after his deep laceration wound. We are truly indebted to this team and will not hesitate to refer clients to this clinic. We have a young standard poodle who was badly cut on a pack walk, from a broken beer bottle left on the forest floor. We have been blessed with a benevolent outcome due to the exceptional care he was given.

Dr. Cichon has been our vet for 16 years and we cannot recommend him more. Two years ago, our dog Fousek was diagnosed with degenerative mitral and tricuspid valve disease. Given this diagnosis, we feared our dogs life expectancy would be shortened as we know this disease worsens over time. Dr. Cichon prescribed him with medication that has kept his condition under control, and referred us to a cardiac specialist whom he keeps in touch with to understand our dog's condition. Our dog is now 16 and is in good health and his condition has stabilised. We truly appreciate Dr. Cichon's holistic and traditional medicine approach. He has never pressured us into expensive treatments and always listens to our concerns. His staff are also professional and compassionate. We are truly grateful for such a helpful and caring team for our dog.

I was referred to Dr Paul Cichon a couple years ago and I’m so Thankful for this referral. Dr Cichon is very caring, attentive and respectful to my needs as a pet owner. It’s not about the money with their office. There is something about the European knowledge that he holds, I find is above and beyond any other veterinary I have experienced. The fact that he and his staff, Nadya, who understand homeopathic methods as well as western medicine, has given me great confidence and amazing results. This will be 3 years now, that Dr Cichon cared so deeply for my twin Yorkie Brothers, Rokko and Koko. With natural aging, Koko passed away last year at 15.5yrs old and Rokko 16.5yrs old, is in his “geriatric puppy” phase, due to the proper guidance , diet and supplements provided by Lonsdale Pet Hospital! I highly recommend and happy to provide a reference of my experience.

We’ve had Dr. Cichon as our vet for our 3 dogs and 2 cats for years now, and have been very happy. He’s well-balanced with his methods, with focus on natural diet and methods first wherever possible. He is caring and passionate about his work, and doesn’t miss anything. He’s thorough and would rather explore something suspicious further, but also doesn’t push things on the client. He simply gives options and recommendations based on his knowledge and experience, and wanting the best care for each animal. Something else that we appreciate about him that many vets don’t do is his passion for the most current treatments, and his willingness and openness to research new things we ask him about. He also introduced us to the food sensitivity test from Dr. Dodds, which is the only reliable test on the market. Our Bassett hound is very sensitive to both food and environmental allergens, and this food test and being able to communicate with Dr. Dodds have been instrumental in helping her. One last word about Paulina, his assistant, who is the friendliest and most capable vet assistant we know.

5 stars for Dr Chicon and his staff. I brought my cat in with kidney failure. Dr Chicon put her on blood presure medication and lent me a blood pressure machine to track her blood pressure till we had her stable. Nadya taught me how to do subcutaneous fluids so I can do them at home. I really appreciate the team work that happened with the treatment of my cat. She wasnt only treated,I was taught how to care for her condition and what to look out for. As a result shes back to her playful self again. Thank you for everything its much appreciated.
