Absolute rip off! In my opinion, this is the financial office and not a Veterinary. Due to entry you have to pay 2 or 3 times more than you should. She quotes me $1,800 plus tax for a few stitches. Two blocks away other vet did it for $550, tax included. She always finds a way to charge you up. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN. (one star is only for reception)

When our pet bird needed emergency care, Dr. Lahey was compassionate, knowledgeable and placed our pet first to the extent of recommending a bird specialist practice when she felt that was the best thing. She did not suggest any unnecessary procedures and all the advice she gave was spot on.

I'm very surprised about the reviews on here. I either find reviews to be very positive or negative however I'm somewhere in the middle. I actually went to Harbourview due to the great Google reviews and the location. First of all, the front desk staff is fantastic and I have nothing bad to say about them. Julie Lahey is another story. Our dog went there for various check ups, shots, procedures etc. and my boyfriend and I found Julie to be a bit cold and direct. Having said that I do think she gave out dog good care which is why we stayed. After my boyfriend went a couple times he suggested we look else wear as he found Julie rude and in a rush to get us out. We also started to feel like she was pushing us for more procedures to get money out of us. I spoke with an acquaintance who brought her cat there and she said the same thing. Our most recent experience involved our dog jumping into a cactus with over 200 spikes in her and then she went into heat early prior to her spay date. I called reception and Julie actually answered so I explained what happened and said I assume we can't go forward with the spay date as she will be in heat for 2-4 weeks. I also mentioned I did a lot of research and most people suggested waiting 3 months after her heat because her hormone levels will return to normal. Julie was very short and told me to bring her in on her scheduled date which was less than 2 weeks away. She very clearly told me I was wrong and that she's the vet. She then said she has someone else on the line and would be hanging up. I proceeded to call 4 additional vets on the North Shore including Mosquito Creek, Lynn Valley, and Ambleside and ask their opinion in the waiting time. Every single one said 3 months no questions. That combined with her lack of empathy and rudeness was enough for my boyfriend and I to change vets.

Nice new vet clinic near Cap Mall. Best parking is underground. Spotless and nice staff. Good experience.

Dr. Lahey isn't a vet - she's a sales person. During the course of our 20 minute visit she suggested 6 separate things for me to buy from them. Ridiculous things too like a few unnecessary shots. I told her I like to do my online research before I buy anything for my animal. When I went to pay for my appt she had added onto the bill all 6 things she recommended to me.. PLUS the fee for expressing my dogs anal glands.. (I was told by the vet tech this would be included in your exam and that it only costs when you come in just specifically for that procedure) She had also scheduled in appointments for me for all these shots that I don't want. Even a few she didn't mention! Perhaps she should consider a career in sales. I found her very cold and direct, robotic and didn't seem to be much of an animal lover. Won't be going there again. The one star is for the lady at the front desk, she was great!

Very friendly and caring staff. I took my 2 rescue kittens into Dr Lahey and she gave them a very thorough check up and provided great advice on how to follow up with their care (and making sure it was within our budget before suggesting treatments). The staff has taken the time to get to know our pets and family. When we had our young son with us during a check up Dr Lahey explained every step of the exam to him and helped ease his anxiety. She understands pet rights and welfare and has great integrity when it comes to offering care plans. I highly recommend them.

Julia, I think thats her name, was extremely kind, caring and considerate with our critically ill guinea pig. She even did some animal reiki on her to help her pass. Highly recommend her as a vet on every level.

WORST VET EVER. She should be out of business. She’s more of a sales rep than a vet. She wouldn’t let me see my dog until I paid. As if I was gonna grab him and run out. He was screaming as he was very stressed out. She was very nasty when I asked her for my dog, and told me to never come back when i demanded I see him. Wish I could give them zero stars. The one star is going to the reception!!! Very nice ladies at reception.

If you want the best possible care for your beloved pets then I would highly recommend Dr. Lahey. The facilities at Harbourview are very impressive. Dr. Lahey and her team truly care about their patients. Dr Lahey has treated my senior dog Winston for the past year. She has even gone the extra mile when she made an after hours house call to attend to Winston. When Winston needed boarding she brought him to her own home for the weekend to make sure he had company. I value a veterinarian that cares for my pet as much as I do. That is a priority for me.

Vet is far more interested in selling me stuff?! Took in a rescue for a check up, Dr Lahey did NOT do a thorough look since I had to take him back when I discovered a large wound under his nailbed. Round one of antibiotics did nothing, returned to have her prescribe lots more that I had to administer and wanted me to return repeatedly. Not exactly surprising since she spent more time staring at the tattoo on MY arm than she did checking out my new Rescue cat. I initially took her advice, but later realised she was simply pushing product; not helping me or my cat. She ultimately refused to finish his vaccinations and closed my file when I complained. Do NOT recommend them! Stay away...

Extremely disappointed! Be aware... all they care is how much money they can get from you! They tried so hard to do an unnecessary procedure on my kitty . Please get a second opinion before doing anythung there.

Dr Lahey is awesome. Very caring doctor.

I really appreciated the time and attention Dr. Lahey and her staff took with our senior dog. Her suggestions and insight were spot on. Fees were quite reasonable. Will be switching to here.
