We took our cat there under emergency circumstances as our regular vet was closed. Shawna and Dr. Teresa could not have been better. They carefully explained everything to us, and took really good care of our boy. He had to be hospitalized for a few nights however, they were wonderful at keeping us informed as to his progress. Wasn't inside, except the front vestibule, due to Covid, but it was exceptionally clean. Thank you Dr. Teresa and Shawna!

Today was one of the hardest days I've ever had to go through. Today was the day that I had to put my 17 year old baby girl down due to heart failure. A little bit more expensive than I had anticipated due to covid but overall I would definitely recommend this place.

I can not speak any more highly about this vet. Dr karl works with my dog and hes so fantastic . they were upfront about the cost and included possible costs that could surface so no surprises , they called and sent a text about my baby when she was in surgery . even after every visit they call to check up on my girl to make sure she is doing ok. the desk ladies are also so sweet . the whole vibe of this place is on point. I feel like they genuinely care about animals and take into consideration how much they mean to us . the desk lady even told me I can bring my dog in if we are in the area and they will give her treats and loving . I am glad i found this gem of a place and I will forever take my pets here and also recommend them to anyone who needs a good vet. yes some other vets are cheaper but you get what you pay for and this service is on point . thank you shannondale pet hospital team for everything Telsa and Aleaha

I don't actually use this vet for my critters, however, my father uses them. Recently, his fur-baby Zoey had to be put down due to a very sudden and serious cancer. He couldnt afford to have her cremated and the ashes returned to him. He was a mess. Without him knowing, I called them, on the down-low and made arrangements for Zoey to be returned. They did all this over the phone, made arrangements for payment, even helped me pick out an Urn for her. I'm grateful that they were able to work all this out behind the scenes.

On June 29, 2018 we were in dire need of a vet! Our usual vet was retiring that day and our 13.5 year old Cocker Spaniel was very ill. His office recommended Dr. Theresa to us because she was the local vet on call that weekend. We got an appointment immediately and spent the next few days going back and forth between her office and home. Geri had to be put on intravenous during the day and we would pick her up at night. Dr. Theresa sat on the floor with Geri every time we spoke with her, and gave her lots of attention. She explained everything thoroughly to us. On Sunday we kept Geri home and Monday morning decided the best thing for her was euthanisation. We had sworn for several years that Geri would be our last dog because it was too difficult to let them go. Monday night my husband suggested I go online and check to see what Cocker pups were available. I came upon a black and white one in Bobcaygeon. She was so adorable! We contacted the people immediately to see if she was still available, and fortunately she was. On Tuesday we emailed and phoned the breeder for information and arranged to pick her up the next day. Then came the problem of what to name her! My husband has a penchant for naming our girls with boys names. Before long, since we were so pleased with the interaction with Dr. Theresa, I realised if we named her Teresa (no h) after her that we could call her Teri, which sounded like a boys name.

on October 15th I had to make the heart wrenching decision to send my beloved companion of 10 years to doggy heaven. Sam was an amazing dog, he was approx. 16 or 17 years old and had always been in good health. I adopted him in 2009. The past few months he was not well and I knew in my heart that I had to make this decision. I spoke with Dr. Teresa and she made everything so much easier. Dr. Teresa showed love and compassion towards Sam and I. Her staff was also so friendly and thoughtful. I know Sam is in a better place free from pain and suffering.
