They did a great job grooming our little guy. Did him just the way we wanted. They also trimmed our big boy's nails. Page was really nice and accommodating too. The place was clean and the staff, very friendly.

The veterinarian really truly cares about the animals, she has helped my animals time and time again. About 4 years ago my dog was extremely sick with low white blood cells, she was able to bring him back to the healthy, hyper and happy dog that he was before he got sick and he has been doing great ever since. She diagnosed my one cat with diabetes and gave us a lot of support in helping him maintain his health. She has make sure she was available to all of my families dogs and cats when they need it and always gives us the best quality care and customer service she can. Recently I went to her to check out my cats swollen, black gums thinking it was some type of infection, the veterinarian looked at her gums and right away was able to tell us that it was a tumour. This was the first straight up answer that we have gotten (having gone to another vet in Ottawa (where I currently live) previous to this about her swollen gums). I told her that I was only in town for the weekend and she was able to get us in for her biopsy that same day so that we could have the results we need. She is truly the best veterinarian in North Bay, in my opinion. Will only ever go to her from now on, even if that means I have to drive down from Ottawa when I need this service.

Brought my male Guinea pig here to be neutered and they’ve been the best vet we’ve had. Even going so far as to share their lunch with him when he decided he wanted their celery sticks. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Will return to have my other male neutered when he gets old enough.

I had gone there numerous times and once with my mom to deal with two different kittens. The vet herself (if she's still there. Haven't gone back since last summer Id say around July 2017) has made me never want to go there again. I went home for christmas and I booked my cat to get spayed where I trust the vets. The vet tried to tell me that it was all my fault that the kitten had fleas. She basically tore me a new one with my mom sitting there not very impressed with how she was treating us. So we thought like maybe its a bad day and she possibly had a bad enter counter with someone. She treated me very poorly three more times I had went back and decided to do the rest of my vet appointments some where else in North Bay. Not a very good Vet herself with common sense stuff and having to talk with the clients was very poorly. I would not recommend going back there if she is still there. Unfortunately I don't remember her name but I could tell you what she looks like because I never would tell anyone to go there with their fur babies.

Amazing staff, super friendly. I couldn't find a vet in the area for my ferret but then I found them. I've been going to see them for over a year now with my ferrets and they take amazing care of them. Couldn't ask for anything better!

As a pet owner all my adult life, I have went to many different vets, and would highly recommend this one. The staff is all super friendly, you never feel like they are judging you. They are open later hours on Tuesday and open on saturdays which is extremely important when you are working regular 7-5 jobs. And most important is my pets all feel comfortable around all of them.

I brought my puppy here as she was throwing up and having diarrhea and it was after hours of my normal vet clinic. The vet was totally great, the receptionist was wonderful as well. My main issue was with the vet tech - she was incredibly judgmental and rude, and she wasn’t listening to what I was saying. She heard what she wanted to hear and that was it. Then when the vet came out she repeated the incorrect information which was very frustrating. I understand Covid and that there had been a local parvo outbreak, but, I believe, because of the lack of listening I then had to wait with my poor puppy in the car for what seemed like ages where she threw up another three times. My pooch ended up being fine, thank god.

By far the most caring vet and staff ever... I was in there today using their microscope trying to find out what I have been dealing with for months with a sick pet. The staff not only let me use their equiepment to relay back to a specialist overseas but also helped me find the disease in question. Fish are not their expertise but they jumped on the opportunity to help. I am deeply grateful we have such a great vet here in town. Once again a big thank you.

My cats went there for almost 2 years with no issues, My cat became violently ill this past October and was not in good condition, We rushed him to the vet as soon as something presented as not okay, We went there spent a total of 4 hours waiting for limited updates from the vet. When the vet did come out she never told us the severity of the situation and played it down. It was only when a kind vet tech told us exactly what we needed to know that we made the decision to put our cat down. when we made that call the VET stated "It wasn't a call she could comment on because she didn't have the same finical restrictions." it was a cruel jab and I will never be back!

The staff here are exceptional. My hedgehog required dental surgery and not only was the surgery a success, but my hedgehog is so happy and healthy. We are grateful for the service and care our hedgehog recieved.

No compassion or confidence in her work.... Had emergency with our dog (bladder needed emptied), she never returned call that night, or following days , even tried her personnel cell phone. Had to bring dog in to alternate vet , that was not even on call, although happy to help us out.. She had previously put our dog on anti biotics for 2 weeks for urinary track infection with no sign of improvement , finally recommended ultra sound, which showed bladdder stones. She scheduled surgery the next day , upon administering anesthetic our pet went into cardiac arrest before she even started surgery, but she apparently revived him, she then called my wife asking if she should proceed with surgery , my wife immediately called me for advice, when she called vet back 1min later they said the dog had passed away. Why is a so called professional vet calling us asking what to do, at a time when my pet needed her undivided attention???? When I went in to pick up my deceased dog , I wanted to discuss what happened, she was not available so I requested a call back, we waited all day for her call but never did recieve one..had to call back next day to get some answers , none of which really explained why our pet died on her table. I feel Christine lacked compassion for our pet and for us, by not returning our calls. Aside from the final tragedy that has left our hearts shattered, all previous encounters were cold and hurried, when we went in for more anti biotic , she never even so much as looked over the counter at our dog to see how he was progressing. If you love your pets as we did and are looking for a caring capable vet, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere..

My personal opinion based on three pets having been seen by her. What a horrible experience for my fur babies and myself! ! One cat was spayed TWICE by her (and once more by another to correctly do it) while she was at one local animal hospital before she was fired. Another other cat and one dog needed surgery to repair damaged blood vessels.. She botched all that, too! Never was able to clean their ears again. We will NEVER return to see that "veterinarian", as she calls herself. JUST AWFUL! ????

Last year my wife and I spent over $3000.00 in visits, meds., and tests at your clinic for our dog. After a multitude of visits, we were told that our dog had Cushing's disease and contemplated euthanasia for him as he was so sick. It turns out that the problem all along was the essential oils we were using in our difuser at home. No one ever mentioned that it could be environmentally related. He was constantly peeing like a St Bernard every hour, went thru a mountain of puppy pads, he slept all the time and had no spark left in him. He is a Jack Russell mix. We stopped using the incorrect oils and all the symptoms went away. For pet owners out there, be careful of what scents you buy if you have pets. ANYTHING CITRUS AVOID !!! PLEASE DO THE RESEARCH !!! Also, things like certain AIR FRESHENERS, including the plug in types, Bath & Body, depending on the fragrance you use can actually KILL your pets. We were lucky enough to find a store that sells essential oils that gave us a head's up on which oils are harmful to pets. Thank you very much to the knowledgable staff at Remissio's Massage Therapy and Wellness Center for saving us from having to euthanize our precious little dog without knowing why.

Three years ago, I brought my at the time 6 month old Border collie to this clinic, I got uncomfortable comments from the owner of this vet clinic on my two first visits for vaccines. I pushed my thoughts aside and thought it was just my anxiety my third visit for vaccines she kept asking me questions as to why i got my border collie. I told her I wanted a companion someone to do agility with and hiking, she told me it was terrible idea for my dog and how my dog would die at a young age, not only did I get compared and judged but she approached me about my sexual life with my partner because I have a dog ??….. she make me feel uncomfortable, she stereo typed me for being 21 years old if I could rate a 0 I would. She was very unprofessional and rude I asked a vet tech about her behavior she mentioned that she's unprofessional with a lot of people.

Unfortunately I don't know if it was a lack of experience on the vets part or maybe lack of equipment etc. The vet that examined my Bunny told me that she was almost completely blind and that I would possibility need a $500+ referral just for an appointment to see a specialist in Toronto.. We went here because we moved back to North Bay and could not go to our regular Exotic and small animal vet in Barrie. We decided to make the trip back to Barrie for a second opinion and she is in perfect health and does not seem to have experienced any vision loss. I'm not giving a 1 star because the rest of the staff were very friendly and easy to work with.

My cat was very ill and I couldn’t see her suffer. I called around, no one would take her in except for one other vet who wanted to charge me $600 to put her down. Bay city animal hospital was able to take her in immediately and it cost me nowhere near that amount. Everyone that i talked to there was extremely friendly and kind. I highly recommend them if you need a vet.

I have tried a few vet clinics in town and Bay City is by far the best. We have 4 dogs and a few cats and we've only had good experiences with Dr. Karkanis. Her staff is also very friendly and accommodating. They have been easy to reach in an emergency situation even on a long weekend.
