As you can see it reaches an feddbacks average is basically the highest, and it is based on a high number of opinions, so we may say that the assessment is very faithful. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well with the business, it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to set tatings when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Veterinarian belongs to the category of Veterinarian.
All they seem to care about is running you dry of money and barely for the animals life. My cat needed a supposed “life saving” surgery and they charged $6000 plus but my cat ended up dying 5 months later anyway when they said they expected to get at least 2 more years left out of her. Just recently I called to have an animal put down and they want $700 on the spot just to put him down. These prices are overly ridiculous and they should be ashamed of themselves.
When I was watching a kitten, she hurt her paw playing a little too rough. I immediately called every vet in the area, only to be told they couldn't help me for 4 weeks or that they weren't taking new clients. Until I called Wheatfield animal hospital! They got me an appointment the same day and even gave the kitten her vaccinations while she was there. They took such good care of of this kitten! I'm seriously thinking about taking my own cat here now! Edit: I do take my cat here now, and I still can't say enough good things about everyone here!
Extremely nice & professional staff & doctors. On-site laboratory & radiology services are a big plus. No waiting to find out what’s wrong. Beautiful & clean facility.
Whether it's routine check-ups, emergency exams, or boarding and kenneling, the staff have sought to provide excellent care for our dog, educate us, and keep us all at ease.
Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. My dog hates going to the vet and they made her feel as comfortable as possible. The vet didn’t even make her get up on the table, she kneeled on the ground and worked with my dog from there. I highly recommend this place.
I am very happy how thorough Dr Ma is with each visit we come in for. The fast appointments when I need one and friendliness of the front desk.
We had our cat brought in the other day because we suspect that she had cancer. The staff diagnosed our cat I am prescribed medication thumbs up for that. But we brought our cat in she was bleeding I have pus coming from open sore long story short they didn't even cleaner off.... so we brought in and bloody cat and we left the bloody cat I'll never bring that animal there again
Staff is wonderful and very informative. We hope to be able to meet them all when this pandemic is over. In the meantime they have taken care of our new family member wonderfully and have thoroughly answered all of our questions. Rozlyn even had a wiggle butt when she went for her last puppy visit, so we know they took good care of her while she was in with them. We would highly recommend their office. Thank you for taking care of our babies, especially during these challenging and changing times. Stay safe!
I lost my dog and had to go back to Wheatfield Animal Hospital to pick Bella up. The lady who bring Bella out to me was very kind and very courteous. Wheatfield Animal Hospital is one of the best places I have ever took my pet and if I ever get another one I will be going back to them again
I have taking my cat Louie to this animal hospital for a year or so now and every time I'm there i ask what will the cost for his next appointment will be and they say it will cost $130.00 then after the appointment they want me to pay $360.00 don't let these people rip you off!!!!
Dr H. Is the best vet I could ask for. He is great with both of my south Africa boerboels. He's always welcoming and the staff is amazing. Love them all. Thank you for everything you guys have done for my boys.
They freaked out my cat and said it was his fault. They need to stop man handling the animals. They say fear free... I gave them my cat while swaddled in a beach towel. They gave him back to us in a cardboard box without the beach towel... yep sounds like caring to me... the only soft liner in that box was the fur that fell off of him in clumps.
I feel my pet receives good care. My cat showed how much he loves affection .
Quick shoutout to the Wheatfield Animal Hospital. The service they provided us with our cat, Ike, was top notch, from giving all the options, remaining impartial and nonjudgmental, accepting payment by having the Vet Tech run the card so nobody had to face a full waiting room while being upset, blanket-covered table and bottled water, back door so remains and paw print could be discretely handed over, and the awesome bedside manor or Dr Molly Hajec. Thanks for all the love!
We've been a few times now and each time they were excellent, friendly to people and animals both. The cherry on top was our pup needing a shot to get into a dog park and they were willing to schedule it the same day so she wouldn't miss out on her play time. I can't recommend them enough.
The age old saying of, I wouldn't take my dog there is exactly how I feel about this place! My dog was clearly sick and needed care. The veterinarian Ashley Mott asked a few questions about why my dog might be sick and did a "so called physical on him" she barely touched him it took 3 minutes. No one even took his temperature and she right away said bloodwork and xrays. Then they sent the office manager in with a astronomical quote for the testing, I asked if we could start with bloodwork and then go from there. She said no they had to do all the test or none. I told her I would take him elsewhere to be seen. They did not give a care in the world weather my doggie lived or died. I took him to another veterinarian the next day, they did bloodwork for $108.00 when I was quoted $350.00 here, on top of that the veterinarian that took 30 minutes examining my dog and actually did a physical on him said he would not even benefit from xrays, that my poor baby had something neurological going on. This place is all about the money and they are very cold hearted. I understand its a business, but at the end of they day they need to realize that they are treating our family members, and they could at least act like they give a darn! If you love your pets "family members" please steer clear of this place! The only one who actually acted like they cared was the receptionist at the front desk!
Staff and vets are passionate about caring for pets. And .....what’s more, they genuinely care about the owners. Compassionate and caring all the way around. It doesn’t get any better than this when it comes to veterinary services.
I really love the care that we receive. I feel as if they understand how important our dogs are to us. Very nice employees all of them. That you always give options to treatments and inform the pet parent of the cost on a high and low end. And the prices are always more affordable than what I was expecting. I highly highly recommend Wheatfield Animal Hospital. We love them so much that it is worth the 20 minute drive for them to care for our pets.
Everyone that I talked to was very friendly and understanding. My fur baby was very well taken care of. I'm extremely happy that I brought her to them. I appreciated the way that everything was thoroughly explained to me over the phone and they took the time to answer my questions without me feeling rushed.
Great! My two boys visit at least twice a year. They love all the kind and professional employees! I trust the Doctors here. I highly recommend Wheatfield Animal Hospital
I had an emergency with my cat and my regular vet was booked up and it would be several days before they could see him. I called Wheatfield Animal Hospital and they took him in right away. Everyone was super nice and they took great care of my kitty.
They take absolutely fantastic care of my animals. Wonderful place and people.
My puppy is hyper-active and they just love her. I have wonderful interACTIONS WITH ALL PERSONNEL.
After the fourth of July my american Eskimo had the worst diareah. This went on for four days. I called Wheat field animal hospital and in their understanding financial strain the tried to help over the phone. So I awoke on Thursday July 9th and another of my dogs (a 5yo Havanese ) was lying by Mr in bed in a puddle of blood. I found 12 other places this had happened. We called Wheat field and they were able to see both. They said it mostlikely was colitis. Caused again if they had to guess from the fireworks. Well they took so good and loving care for them. They are both home and resting. We will see what the morning brings Thank you to everyone at Wheatfield Animal Hospital.
Had to be the worst experience at a vet ever. We tried this vet for my service dog as she has an ear infection but are very sorry we did. We have a great caring vet in Florida and were hoping for the same. We were met by a very rude young lady at the desk, no smile no care for us. She took our records copied them, took care of someone else, left us standing not know what to do so we just sat down. At checkout this same girl was even worse, let me standing at the counter and then walked out of the building. We finally we taken in and the vet tech could not have been more condescending. He took our history, took a q-tip to our dogs ear and left. They proceeded to do more billable test WITHOUT our approval. They handed us prescriptions that were very costly without even discissing it with us. We did ask the vet Dr Harper if we could get these elsewher cheaper he said No vet only which was a huge lie. They was 20.00 for prednisone which we were able to get for 4.00 at Wal Mart. Another ear med wanted 50.00 and Walmart was 32.00 and a 3rd they wanted 45.00 but we were able to get without a script for 28.00. The reviews I read about them money being more important than people or animals sadly was also true for us. The Dr was good but everything else was bad. I questioned all of the charges on the bill and the office manager did nothing at all for us. I explained about being upfront with test and cost and she said they do not do that. I was stuck paying a very high vet bill that could of and should have been lower. I would have been better off at the West side walk in clinic. So I would tell anyone considering Wheatfield Small Animal Hospital to seriously reconsider.
So thankful for the team at this hospital. They took great care of my baby and i am so grateful that i have found a long term vet close by my new home. They put me at ease and made no judgements and were so kind to me during distress. I cant thank them enough . Will never go anywhere else again
Veterinary staff seems inexperienced, far as felines. Aside from telephone to vehicle consultations and waiting over two hours outside, sweet for them $700+ later and 4 medications, just a quessing game on their part. ???? ???? ????
The staff was great, vet took time to speak to me (very proffessional and knowledgeable) and the price was fair. Will continue taking my dog there.
Really like Wheatfield Animal Hospital. They take good care of my pets and they're nice people.
Gave my dog surgery when not needed because they wanted $5,000 MONEY. Caused GRAND MAL SEIZURES as a 1 year dog. Over 2 000 horrific SEIZURES with meds n finally passed. Dr Harper n crew are all MONEY hungry skum
This hospital/vet is great. I needed a place to board my two elderly cats while work being done on my apt. My long time vet hasn't boarded in yrs so I tried Wheatfield Animal hospital and was very pleased. It was sort of short notice but they accommodated me just fine. My babies needed updated on everything and along with the boarding they gave the necessary attention/medical updates to my furkids. They have been there 2 times to board in a month and the cost for that is very acceptable. The team of techs I've had communication with have been very pleasant and explained In detail what the terms are/were and that my thoughts on boarding were same as a hotel/motel day/nite rental. Not so, so I finally got that straightened out and we're all good. So if you ever need a furkid boarded, I say check them out. When were allowed once again to be normal....LOL....I will treat them in some way with treats from a bakery or candies from Platters or sooner if they deliver. I don't believe that's allowed just now from me directly. Happy trails everyone. God bless and stay safe Wheatfield Animal hospital and all who patronize the establishment. ????????????
Wheatfield animal hospital is a wonderful place to take your pet. My dog is a rescue and nervous as hell. They are.patient with.her and treat her gold!! Love that place!! Would go no where else!!
My pup had an emergency, we were in within the hour. They checked the wound at a later time and didn't charge us. This was the second time within 5 years that they did this for us. Very grateful.
What a wonderful place to bring an animal. I brought my dog Bailey there for over the past year for various needs.....staff and Dr. Mott were always so extremely caring, as well as informative. Yes going to the vet is expensive, but that is the price we pay for our pets, to keep them alive, and well, and happy. We had to put Bailey down recently and they could not have handled it better. Exemplary beyond words. They showed the utmost compassion, kindness, and love, not just to our dog, but to us as well, exceeded our expectations. So caring and so loving at her last moments, truly surpassed anything I've ever experienced before. I cannot say enough kind words to describe how much I love this place, and Dr. Mott!! Thank you.
They care about your pet as if it was their own. Somehow, they know every pet by name, which makes you not feel like a lunatic when you call up and make an appointment for your dog by first name only. It's easy to get an appointment, even around work hours.
Took my cat in for a tune up. She doesn't like the carrier and sure doesn't like visiting the vet. This likely results from being a rescue and very unwell when she was taken in initially by the shelter. Lily needed a rather unpleasant short procedure. The tech was very good with her and she behaved beautifully - which always surprises me since she seems to otherwise be a one person cat. Looking forward to taking Lily there for future medical needs as well as boarding her there in the future.
Always take so much love and care with our pups. Even when I call with questions they never make me feel dumb
My family has been going here since they've opened. As now a 3rd generation customer I cant think of going anywhere else. They have always worked tirelessly to help by any means possible. On our worst day they were kind, patient, thoughtful, and followed up with us to see how the family was doing. What more can you ask for from a small town veterinarian office than that.
Where do I begin? I recently had my poor pup swallow a toy of hers whole, unfortunately getting stuck in her stomach, I will be honest this is not my primary vet for my dog but I was recommended here by a family friend, after bringing my Nola here the staff was EXTREMELY friendly over the phone. It made me feel so much nicer about the operation and all the stress I had been going through, they kept Nola overnight (transferring to another hospital that was 24/7) and we were able to pick her up the next day, Not even a week after my pups surgery I received a card in the mail by the staff here wishing my pup a speedy recovery. The operation went smoothly, she’s still healing, but as of now things are looking amazing, I can’t thank this place and it’s staff enough for helping my pup, any emergency situation I will 100% recommend this place to anyone that needs their pet looked at, she goes back in a little over a week to get all her staples removed, I will throw an extra update on this post when im finished there ???? thanks again -Max Maio
Just the best. The entire staff is kind and understanding. Our two dogs have been boarded with them and both get taken in for all their shots and veterinarian needs. Very knowledgeable and always pleasant to talk to
The staff are so friendly and really take the time to know your pet. The doctor explaining every part of the process and how the medications are to be administered was helpful.
Wonderful friendly and knowledgeable staff, we adopted our dog through awesome paws animal rescue who works in conjunction with wheatfield hospital provide neutering to the rescue puppy we brought into our home, the process was quick it was easy we dropped our pet off they got them taken care of within a few hours and had them back to us the procedure was amazing it didn't even look like it affected the dog in one bit he was happy as could be!! I would recommend
Good experience. We were able to be seen really quick for an ear yeast infection in our Yorkie. We were in and out pretty quick. Price was good. Service was very friendly.
I've been bringing my dog here for a few years now and we are always greeted by a friendly staff. Vets are always helpful and willing to answer questions. Highly recommended.
Absolutely amazing animal hospital!!!! They were sooo kind and just all around awesome!!!!! Took great care of my senior dog Lucky and provided loving service... thank you to all the staff that looked out for my old man
I thought I would never trust another vet with my dog but now not so sure. The front desk staff was wonderful, as usual. The vet didn't seem very caring. My dog appeared to have a sprain. She wanted to treat with acupuncture, xrays while under anesthesia, IV fluids, blood work...for a total of $1800. I instead decided to try medication-muscle relaxant & anti-inflammatory for $100. If that wouldn't have helped I would have opted for more aggressive treatment. Thankfully my dog was back to his old self within the week. Why perform such aggressive treatment without trying the obvious first?! Never even received a follow up call to see how he responded. I may have to re-think my vet options.
My two puppies love going to Wheatfield Animal Hospital! They get excited when we get out of the car and go visit the staff. The staff are always happy to see my puppies and because of their love they show they are not scared for appointments. We totally recommend Wheatfield Animal Hospital for your vet services.
I take both my Dogs here. They are a knowledgeable staff. What I like most about this office is that they take care of you on time. You don't have to sit and wait. Being punctual goes along way. The receptionists are always friendly and accommodating.
Friendly, professional staff that is always willing to help. I always feel comfortable and at ease knowing that my fur kid is going to receive the best care possible.
Can’t believe what they charge for well visits & can’t do basics.( Trim nails) without added charges. They charge you for everything….
The folks at Weatfield Animal Hospital are truly not carers of animals as evidenced by the young man that was told to leave earlier today because he didn't have $60 with him as he rushed his dog in because he was bleeding heavily from the rectum. Despite offering to come back later with the cash or to have a relative pay for the consultation by phone, Wheatfield Animal Hospital told him they weren't interested and would not help and asked the young man to leave. No signs of compassion or caring whatsoever. I have brought our cats and dog here several times after switching from Pinewoods Animal Hospital after our vet left the practice, and didn't realize how heartless they were here until I saw this incident. Needless to say I'll not be bringing any of our animals here again in the future. Wheatfield Animal Hospital should be ashamed of themselves, and they should be alert to who's watching and listening to how they treat people that come into their facility.
Our pup hurt her paw during our travels. Wheatfield was able to get us a same-day appointment and took good care of our girl. Highly recommend.
They are super friendly and willing to answer any questions. They also don’t push if you need to break up trips due to payments etc. they are understanding and good with my dog!!!
I noted my cat had some drainage from her left eye on Sat. Thought it was getting better on Monday, by Tuesday realized it was not. Called and got an appt for Wednesday. The staff at Wheatfield Animal Hospital are always pleasant; and most of them know my cat, Genevieve, from the many times she has boarded there. So we are often greeted with '"aw, it is Genevieve, we just love her." Would like someone to say that to me one time when I arrive anywhere! We saw a very nice tech and then the MD. She had a very soothing and gentle touch with Genevieve, did an exam, prescribed an ointment. Before we left I asked the tech to show me how to apply. I have never been disappointed by any aspect of this facility.
Clean office and exam rooms, very nice and smiling staff. I like that I get to talk to the vet during appointments. Staff always answer questions and are very helpful
Terrible. Was told to bring in sick cat anytime during the day and when calling to let them know we were on our way a very rude woman named Kayla was very nasty and said we could not bring cat. Ill never call this vet again. Also have been told by a coworker they are outrageously ecpensive
While the staff was very pleasant and helpful, the prices are outrageous. I had a rundown of prices, and they are quite high. Upon bringing my cat home, I found that she had brought home fleas! She is an indoor cat and never been anywhere and was in a carrier and has never had fleas and within two hours of her being home, I noticed one, combed through her hair thoroughly and found 2. While it's not a lot, that's how it starts. I called the office and explained, was calm about it, and the immediate response was that there definitely no fleas in the office. She then talked to the doctor and she said the vet had told her she did a full exam and there was no flea dirt, or fleas. (She was examined in a half hour so I doubt she did a thorough comb through.) I was also told that I may have "brought one in with my shoe," and if any animals had fleas, they would be treated immediately. How do you know unless you're looking or it's become a problem? Especially when it may be a new infestation. And then they tried to sell me flea medication. The least they could have done is offered a starting dose instead of completely dismissing that I may be correct. I gave two stars simply because the staff was very friendly and they got me in right away, but in comparison these prices were very high. And you know, now I have to get rid of fleas. Gross.
First visit here. My dog received acupuncture treatment for the first time. I had found out only a couple of hours before my appointment that my little dog had an untreatable brain tumor. The staff was wonderfully compassionate. The Vet's kindness was so appreciated.
They are amazing. My regular vet had no appointments and my dog was sick thru the entire holiday weekend. I called and they saw my dog as an emergency visit. Did bloodwork, gave fluids and sent us home with meds. Everyone was so nice and the vet we saw, Dr. Mott was beyond wonderful. I am so grateful and thankful they saw my dog. She now has a diagnosis, meds and will feel better in no time.
Staff is so nice, they explain everything and took good care of both my cat and dog. Thier prices are reasonable as well.
I adore this place and everyone who works here. I have been bringing my cat emmit and my dog Romeo to you guys for 3 years. You guys truly care about what you do and your clients. I wouldn't take my fur babies anywhere else! The first time i came I was in tears about my kitten Emmit he has fleas and was very ill. I had him in a cardboard box and one of the receptionists was so kind and reassuring me he was going to be okay. Before I left someone in the office gave me a cat carrier for free because i did not have one for my baby. Me and my babies have always been shown so much love anytime I've walked into your facility and i can not thank you enough for that and the peace of mind.
I brought my dog Pickles in December of 2017 for a second opinion because Companion care vet said he may heal at home instead of surgery, but surgery could be the likely outcome. Pickles was not getting any better at home after being on a joint supplement prescribe by companion care. Companion care also wants the money all at once. At Wheatfield animal hospital with Dr. Harper, gave me the option of a Care credit plan of which you can make payments. This made it easier on my pocket book and I had the surgery done with Dr. Harper, who also stated that Pickles was in a lot of pain and prescribe pain medicine for him. My dog started to feel better, and when the staples were removed after surgery, he started to put weight on his leg. Soon after he was walking a little more and trusting to use his leg more and more. I am so happy that I decided to go with Wheatfield animal hospital and Dr. Harper when I did and not wait any longer for surgery as my dog may not have done as well as he has. He is walking , running, and doing all the things he did before he tore the ligament in his knee. Dr. Harper did a wonderful job with the surgery and was worth every penny so my Pickles could walk and use his hind leg again. Thank you Dr. Harper!
Outstanding Service, from the Front desk technicians to the personal care given by the doctor. Simply Amazing people who care about your animal. This is the Vet of Choice!
We've taken all of our pets here and they've always been courteous and patient. They're knowledgeable and are wonderful to have around when our pets have neared the end. Boarding is affordable and they are not there to take your money! Would definitely recommend.
Great customer service. Always friendly and knowledgeable. Very accommodating. Has taken care of us and all our dogs!
Wheatfield Animal Hospital is the absolute best for our french bulldog Maverick. He is very scared when he goes to the vet but they take care of him each and every time. He was recently in a dog fight and they made time to see him within 15 minutes of the accident and I couldn’t thank them enough! We will continue to bring our guy here because of the wonderful staff!
Very very expensive! We had a dog there since he was a puppy. He needed emergency surgery and they quoted us over 6k to save him and wanted it all up front. Called my friends vet who had never even met him and they did they surgery that day and didn't even ask for payment until we picked him up and it was only 2k. Really made me feel like they didn't care about my baby at all!
I've been brining my 2 dogs here for years and we've always received top notch service from the moment we walk in to the time we leave. The doctors and staff truly care and make you feel very comfortable and confident that the right treatment is going administered. The cost is very reasonable. Also the groomer, Pam, is wonderful! Both my dogs need regular grooming and they just love her. She is so very talented!
Very good service. Explained what was going on and how to treat our dog.
Great doctors and vet techs. Caring, compassionate and professional. It is obvious that everyone at this practice loves our pets
Words can not express my gratitude for this hospital and Dr. Mott for her professional yet personal attention to our baby girl in her time of need. Even with all the pain that came with that day and choice that had to be met. They gave us such a wonderful last moment with her on earth. We have never been to your facility before but after being turned down by our own veterinarian you gave us the experience that was worth every minute. Thank you for taking care of our Chloe as if she was one of your own. Sincerely Rebecca and James Junn
Let you know everything about your pets. My cat had surgery as happy as when she left do really well now. Thank you to the staff. And the Veterinarians. John Beedy.
When I called to make an appointment for urgent care, they were great with getting me in for a next day visit. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and informative. I did not receive food news about my dogs condition, but the Vet was great at explaining everything so I could understand and was so caring when I had a hard time processing the bad news. I did not have a bad experience with anyone and they really took care of my baby.
I had left a rather frigid review after we took our dog here for a UTI. I didn't think twice about going to this office again, despite how much more expensive this office is compared to others in the area. I soon realized, however, that there is a reason I chose to take my pets there when they were ill. This is by far the most thorough, compassionate animal hospital in Western NY. I was going to take my cat to another vet that I had used for her check ups, but they were rude to me on the phone so I called this office. I had taken her there before, for an emergency appointment when she had a UTI. I knew that she would have better care when she was ill there than she would have at the other place. Despite the fact that my baby had not gotten her regular care at this office, the entire staff treated us as though they had known us for years. Within minutes, I had an exact diagnosis and was able to make a decision at that visit to give her peace. Today, I picked up my baby's ashes and found the most wonderful card signed by all the members of the staff with so much love that it made me weep again. Thank you.
Wheatfield Animal Hospital is a wonderful place to take your pets. Everyone is loving and caring with your pet. The staff will take the time to listen to your concerns. Highly recommend.
my baby had to have 2-in-1 surgery recently, and testing for some pretty scary things, and i was naturally terrified because he's on the older side, has never had surgery before, and is very rarely separated from me for longer than a few hours. i must have called more than a dozen times to check on him and ask questions, and the staff was really sweet and helpful every time. kayla in particular was super reassuring and made sure i knew they were there to answer my questions and alleviate my fears. i also spoke with sarah, who explained some aspects of the procedure/medications, which really helped me feel more comfortable with everything. when dr. ashley called after his surgery she was very thorough when talking with me about his health and any minor concern i had, and made sure to tell me everything as soon as they knew anything - what things i could stop worrying about, and what things we should keep an eye on in the future. they also called the next day to check in on him and set his follow up appointment. the cost seemed average or a bit above average, but they did try to help me stay on the lower end of the original estimate, and they take carecredit. the care was absolutely worth it - a prior visit to a cheaper clinic was traumatic for both me and bubba. bubba's very intuitive about people and is an excitable puppy when he likes people, and is shy and nervous when he doesn't like them. it's clear to me that he likes the staff here and did not like them at the cheaper clinic, so we'll be staying here. it also wasn't on the bill, but they cut his nails while he was under anesthesia, which i thought was incredibly thoughtful! bubba's at home resting and is doing well, and i'm sure he's happy not to have to visit the vet for the 4th time in 4 days :)
Only giving 1 star because you have to. In total my visit took over an hour, to see the vet for 3 minutes. Was told it would be best to bring my dog in the day I got her by the receptionist, then tell me they cant really evaluate her when shes scared and in a new environment. Saw my dog for 3 minutes, literslly. Absolute waste of time and money I'll take my dog to a vet that is honest not someone out to make a couple bucks. Beyond annoyed with this place. The visit was totally unnecessary and it was as simple as checking her history and seeing that she already had what she needed. I have never had a dog before so I really had to no clue what to expect.
Very happy with them. Was my 1st time there, after 25 years at animal kingdom on grand island. Also was a major savings. I found my lab his new vet.
Thankful you guys saw Luca with no notice. Vet was awesome as was all the staff we met. Thank you Seeing us with no notice
Very disappointed with the care given to my dog. I went there with concerns that there was something wrong with my dog and he was in discomfort. The vet that looked at him said that he was just ,overweight, and was going to send him home after disagreeing with the vet blood work was run and the vet diagnosed him with pancreatitis. Sent us home with antibiotics. I was back a week later because he was still not himself, seen another doctor and this dr says he is diabetic , put my dog in strict diet and we start treating for diabetes. 2 weeks with glucose monitor and vet prescribed dosages of insulin. No follow up appointments scheduled, just following the dr instructions for about a month now. Needless to say 2 days ago I bring my dog back in and now we see another dr and says my dog is in diabetic crisis (DAK) and may not recover. 3 day hospitalization with fluids and medication quoted at 6k could possibly help. I feel like they dropped the ball with diagnosis , educating us on his condition and following up with treatments. We chose euthanizatiion, I cannot understand how in a matter of 8 weeks my poor dog is gone, while we had been attempting to treat his condition the whole time and followed vets instructions, I believe something major was missed and I will not be sending my other dog back to them. I will not recommend.
They treat you and your pet like family. They are skilled, compassionate and rarely keep you waiting. When my fur-baby left this world, they sent a beautiful sympathy card that had a note from and was signed by every single staff member.
Dr.Mott and her staff has been a saving grace to my poochie, after a few months of treatment at my prior Veterinarian. I moved back to the north towns area and my first thought was to give here a try again. SO GLAD I DID! It has been not as fun for my pooch to have weekly visits(x7) but Dr.Mott has finally gotten his chronic ear infection under control. The female staff up front (sara, kayla, robin, alexa) have been nothing short of kind to me even when displaying frustration with waiting long times in my car with a anxious dog etc. Dr.Mott took her time with me to talk about my dogs symptoms and his treatment in lay terms that i'd understand. I appreciate that immensely, coming from working in the medical field it takes a lot to learn and hold a good manner with patients. They've handled the Covid-19 pandemic times with grace, and make it easy on their patrons. It will be nice to put faces to these names once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted. UPDATE----> I'm revisiting this review and taking 4 stars down to 3- after I had consecutive visit 9 yesterday with this practice. I've never been more disgusted with customer/patient service from a specific employee named Kyle. To be straight forward he has yet to be kind since first speaking to him, but luckily for him- his employee counterparts out shine his horrible manner. Personally working in a management position in the medical field I was actually almost at a loss for words. BUT this built up over weekly visits dealing with Kyle calling with the vets recommendations prior to them returning my dog to me. Yesterday was the third time Kyle has told me that he mentioned something regarding my dogs care at the previous visit, that was never said. A absolute lie from him, and when approached that it was never mentioned he does not back down and accept fault- but he just talks over me, insists he has told me, and all with a distasteful passive aggressive rude tone. Talking down to the paying owner/customer is unacceptable and absolutely uncalled for. I sadly now will be going elsewhere after all this time and so much money spent during a time when work and income is highly affecting my life in a negative way. I'm so discouraged with the practice, with a big thanks to you Kyle. :::UPDATE::: The practice manager Sarah contacted me immediately regarding this situation and how it was handled by one of her employees. The practice owner should be aware of the great management they have on their staff. She was more than professional, highly courteous and helped to rectify the situation moving forward. That being said, I have since returned to the Vet with my animal making that a total of 12 visits in 16 weeks. AND i have had 0 interaction with the negative employee listed above. It has been pure bliss. Speaking with the Vet herself or the alternate Tech has changed the entire appointment in regards to ease and communication of orders following my pups visit. I cant say enough about the efforts made by this practice/practice manager for my comfort, as well as my dogs. Thank you to Sarah for your help in keeps us as patients moving forward, I appreciate you more than you know. My dog now has a clean bill of health regarding a nasty ear infection, and I can't be happier with the outcome of the entire course of treatment. Regardless of the aforementioned hiccup
I had to take my cat in tonight he's had a mass on his leg and do to covid I couldn't get him in. I am very sad because it might be cancer. The staff at whitefield animal hospital were amazing I have a big decision to make but they did not pressure me at all. They were caring and compassionate I will leave this in gods hands now.
We've never had a bad experience at WAH! Georgie had a great yearly checkup and a clean bill of health. We love the staff as well! Thanks for the great care you provide our pets!
I am very pleased with everyone I have come in contact with throughout the company. Every appointment I have come to I have been greeted by nothing but smiles and worm welcomes. I also appreciate the prompt service. I have never had to wait long for my appointments. Questions have been encouraged and answered in a way that makes me comfortable and satisfied. Being on time, and friendly!!!
Mira enjoys visiting the staff at Wheatfield Animal Hospital. Everyone welcomes her (and me) when I bring her in. Thank you!
Wheatfield Animal Hospital was the best experience ever...1st time there....Great Staff...So Professional and Accomodating...with Everything..Including Pricing...Dr. Ashley was so Great with my dog..I would recommend them as my Number One Choice of Vets...
When my puppy foot/leg was stepped on I cannot express how happy I am with them. When other vets said take her to emergency vet or plan on a two week wait to see her, Wheatfield said bring her right in. Wow exceptional care and staff!????
My fur baby and I had our first appointment yesterday afternoon. Aside from Covid and not being able to be in the room while my cat was being checked, I was very happy that they took the time to discuss my cat's health history and my concerns beforehand. The vet spoke to me at length about my cat's health and his concerns, and he answered my questions and did not rush me. I look forward to a long-lasting relationship with Wheatfield Animal Hospital.
Very friendly staff. The technician was very nice and explained what was happening to our cat very well. Overall, a nice vet clinic, never had any problems with bringing our animals here.
My brother's dog was sick to hear from you rather quickly. Animal Health Care shouldn't be that expensive though. staff and doctors were nice
I loved this place the front desk is so nice they always offer you water or coffee . The veterinarians and staff are so nice and gentle with your pets they took care of my cat piglet and both me and piglet thank them deeply.
I love this place! The doctors and Staff are extremely kind and helpful, they go above and beyond for me and my pets needs. We are always promptly seen especially if it's urgent. I highly recommend them for all your pets needs!!!
They are great to my fur babies. They tell you what you’re pet needs. They explained everything very well and they also explain different costs for the procedures or test they may need to take, for your pets situation. That is great it leaves room to decide on what you could afford at the time and they’ll help you pick out what is the most important procedures that your animal may need as a priority and then you can wait on the other procedures such as x-rays or bloodwork. Of course every situation is different. I love these guys. They literally explain everything and go through every part of every test with you. You can definitely tell they really enjoy their job and taking care of animals. I won’t take my pets anywhere else, they have us for life as their customers.
Love this place. They take much better care of our puppy than her last vet.
I want to thank Doctor Ashley Saffire for being so gentle with my Oscar. He was a beautiful little Basset Hound that was diagnosed with terminal cancer. All we were able to do was make him comfortable. He lasted another 5 months and when the time came for Dr. Saffire to help our baby over the Rainbow Bridge, she took my father and Oscar to the park across the street from the office she was previously working at in Lewiston, and sat them down underneath a tree. My father held Oscar is his arms and said a prayer while Oscar was sedated. When my father was ready, Dr Saffire let our little guy rest in peace. The way it was done was so compassionate and so beautiful that I will never forget it. If anyone was to choose a vet in the WNY area I would highly recommend Wheatfield Animal Hospital. When Doctor Saffire moved there we followed. My other dog Charlie was diagnosed with arthritis 3 days after Oscar passed. We feared the worst as he is getting up there in age and he was unable to walk. Dr Saffire performed surgery on one of his knees. Though he is in pain from the surgery, he is moving around better than he has in months. More importantly he is much happier. For a while we thought he would just waste away because his buddy was gone and not being able to run after his ball as he always loves to do. Now he is able to put weigh on that knee and go for walks. Any dog owner can relate that our animals are our family. We love them and want the best for them. Thank you Dr. Saffire you are an angel.
The staff has always been friendly but most of all the dogs are excited to go there and that never happens. One of our Pups had to have surgery and the team was great with him and the instructions they provided to us. They never got impatient with us calling in if we were worried about something. The care they provide both our dogs and cats is was is most important to us
They got us in on a rush, same day, basis when I am not a regular client of theirs. I greatly appreciate it. They helped us when we had an urgent need.
I just can not afford them anymore! I have 5 rescues, and just quoted a price for a dental with extractions, $3000.-$3500. For one dog, sorry but that is crazy!
Very professional & friendly! I look forward to bringing my puppy there!
