I had an incredible experience this week at KAH. My oldest cat Cosmaux was acting very lethargic and like any concerned pet parent I took her immediately to Kenmore Animal Hospital. I was greeted instantly after coming in the door and taken right back to see Dr. Hawkins. Both her and Lacey were professional and friendly and it was clear that they were genuinely concerned for the well being of my cat. After diagnosing the issue Dr. Hawkins was clear and honest about what steps I needed to take and were very willing to work in my budget. I've been to other vets who seem to push unnecessary procedures to cover their bottom line but that wasn't the case here. Overall I'm completely satisfied and relieved to find somewhere in Buffalo that has both the patient and the customer in mind 100% of the way. And for all of those concerned reading this yes, Cosmaux is doing much better!

They have taken fabulous care of our pet. The monthly plans help covering all the costs. Staff is friendly and caring. Only downside is sometimes having to wait 2-3 months for appointments. Would and have recommended to friends.

10/13/2015 The Veterinarians are amazing. They spend time with my fur-baby, answer my questions, explain thing in layman's terms and are just very friendly, caring and professional people. They show there love by interacting with the animals and seem to really enjoy taking care of them. The Vet technicians and other support staff are friendly, knowledgeable, professional and always have a smile on their face. My dog barks when he's in the waiting room which can be loud. The staff doesn't seem to be phased by the noise. I have recommended Kenmore Animal Hospital to several people. Their prices are reasonable, they don't preform unnecessary procedures and they follow up with phone calls. Sonny had his teeth cleaned and needed a tooth extracted. Dr. Hawkins called me at work, explained what needed to be down, then followed up with a call back when the procedure was finished. I would recommend Kenmore Animal Hospital to anyone that loves their pets. They will be in good hands. Thank you. 10/23/2015 My dog was seen by Dr. Hawkins to have his teeth cleaned. Dr. Hawkins called me at work to explained a problem my dog had, she had a solution, answered all my questions at which time I gave my approval. She then called me back when the procedure was finished with updates and prognosis. Dr. Hawkins is so caring, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The other two Veterinarians that work at Kenmore Animal Hospital are caring and knowledgeable too. I have recommended this animal hospital to several people. January 2016 I like the fact that the staff is crossed-trained in other areas of the clinic. Thereby having the knowledge to answer questions and concerns without having to wait for another staff member.

I found the clinic to be spotless, more than sufficiently staffed, and far better than our previous vet. Dr. Hawkins took considerable time to explain tests, outcomes, and prognosis. Unlike other clinics, there was no pressure to purchase. The meds were quite reasonable. Every step was professionally and ethically handled, and everyone appeared smart and intelligent. At the end, Dr. Hawkins helped us euthanize our cancer-ridden dog in an entirely sensitive manner.

I love bringing my puppy here. Today was her first day. They made her feel welcome the minute we walked in. They gave her lots of love. My puppy was nervous but she did good. Very friendly staff and they understand all your concerns. If you have any questions or if you would want them to prefer you to anything they will help you out.

I LOVE this place! Last year I couldn't get an appointment at my regular vet and they recommended I go to KAH with my very sick undiagnosed 10 y/o English bulldog. Dr. Hawkins immediately began to help us find answers and I just knew that she really cared what happened. She went above and beyond, when she didn't know the answer to something she did everything she could to find the answer. I am so grateful that we found her and were able to go through such a difficult time in such knowledgable and caring hands. We decided it was best to say goodbye to our pup, she was just too sick. This year when we were ready for a new puppy there was no doubt where we going to bring her. The experience has been just as awesome so far. We bought the paw plan for a year and it makes the services so affordable. All of the staff are pleasant and knowledgable. One of my FAVORITE aspects is how CLEAN the space always is! I would absolutely recommend KAH for anyone to bring their pet. They are members of our family and really should have the best care.

We've been taking our dog and two cats here for a few years now. Dr Hawkins and her staff have always been very kind, caring, and knowledgeable towards our pets' health. They clearly have a passion for animals. Dr Hawkins has gone out of her way to help us. To give a small example; I had made a last minute change in one of my appointments to bring in my cat, who has been having some digestive issues. Dr Hawkins had plans to leave early that day, but stayed to tend to my cat's health concerns. I felt bad that I had likely ruined her plans, but she showed no frustration towards me or my cat. She took her time to properly diagnose my cat's health issues and recommend next steps. I truly appreciate the clear dedication of Dr Hawkins and her staff. I would highly recommend Kenmore Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a new vet.

I have 4 rescue pets and I chose to put 2 of them on the Paw Plans (one cat, one dog). The benefit of the plans is supposed to be being able to pay over time for services you will use. Except is doesn't work out that way. I've made several calls to correct my 3rd incorrect bill, I was charged for 2 services that my plan covers. They don't like to do credit refunds, instead they'll credit your next Paw Plan payment (defeats the purpose of paying over time right?). Except that I just checked my credit card and they billed me for next month's payment too. They were supposed to refund the difference between next month's payment and what they charged me. But they don't process credit refunds, instead they take 2 weeks to send you a check. Except when you call about that, they're not exactly sure how much the check is going to be for. The office manager is out an awful lot and can't ever respond to you that day. To be clear this isn't the 3rd erroneous charge, it's the 3rd bill with multiple erroneous charges. I was also told that my dog should be put under anesthesia because, after having a tooth removed last year we should work hard to keep the others healthy. Except my dog didn't have any teeth removed last year. Wrong chart, wrong dog. I was told to spend $900 putting my dog under anesthesia to clean her teeth and remove a mole that had appeared on her face. I was told it could be benign, it could be cancer or it could be viral (papilloma virus - meaning if you remove it, it can come back because it's forever in her system - think puppy cold sores). I said I needed to think that over. After researching a bit I decided to give my dog half a pill of lysine (drug store, $8), within 5 days something I had taken her in for TWICE was gone. If they had put her UNDER for hundreds and run tests they would have had to tell me we removed it, but it can come back whenever she's stressed, sickly etc. But they never thought to suggest this safe, cheap treatment to rule out papilloma without a biopsy. I have FOUR rescue animals, I truly love them, and I have to carefully plan the money I spend on them so that I can continue to afford to provide the best health care for all of them. Kenmore Animal Hospital makes that extremely difficult for me. They charge first and deal with your questions later. I've never once been offered a discount due to the inconvenience of having been charged in error - and when you've rung up this many erroneous charges on a customer's account you really should do more than have them wait 2 weeks for a refund while continuing to bill their card.

I had an app for my puppy today. 5/28/16 When I got there the office was closed for three days with a sign "sorry for your inconvenience" Meanwhile I had given my pup benedryl as prescribed to avoid reaction to her shot. What kind of care is this? I am glad I found out early on so I can find a TRUSTWORTHY vet for my sweet puppy. Our cats have always received good care here. Mostly occasional shots and check ups, 1 dental cleaning that made the cat much happier, got rid of the horrible odor, and not known to us, broken teeth. When 1 went downhill fast, they gave us treatment options, possible benefits, and what was most likely not going to help much. We got a paw print and nice card a few days after she was put down.

My dog and I were new to Buffalo a couple years ago and it was a blessing to find a Veterinarian and staff that put me at ease. Dr. Hawkins is friendly, informative, and patient. You can tell the technicians really love their jobs. My pup is a bit anxious in general, and can be a prima-donna at the vet. I would not recommend ,when failing to provide the level of service we got in the beginning, and now watch excuses and finger-pointing at the risk of the health of our pets, that's when it becomes concerning. The Dr' or Techs, they are great, but the office staff mistakes and the manager is unreliable and unprofessional. Kim Klemotowski's reaction is somewhat concerning since her staff failed on several occasions in the past 6mo's. Instead of speaking with the customer she places the blame on them for being upset for the mistakes made by her staff. Sad to go, but I'll take my Husky elsewhere. But I will make sure when looking for reviews on KAH that others may know what to expect, or maybe others who also are going through similar will know they are not alone. I hope the mistakes made that could have caused serious ramifications to the health of our pet was worth it. All I can suggest doing some homework when looking for a great place for our Fur Buddies because you may be treated well in the beginning but after time has passed that treatment should not change. Kim if you feel like discussing I am open to that, but I doubt by your letter you really care at all. Update as of 2/13/2020: Update, So after we have moved our Pet to a new Clinic this ragtag group who stated would refund us they paw plan over payment , (never came:check is in the mail) then they had the nerve to charge my credit card not 1x but 2x within 2 weeks for Paw Plans (1./22 & 2/4/20 . even thugh we no longer have any ties to thier business. Folks run, this place as for operational is a nightmare, the Professional staff for our anumals health is goo, but the office help is another issue and Kim is the main part of the problem. Customer Beware!

They've been great for our cat's whole life, she's 13, and managing a chronic thyroid problem very well under their care, but I figured an update with COVID procedures would be useful-- there are numbered parking spaces you use and check in by phone, and they come out to get your pet, and you wait in your car. Good system and very safe.

I found Kenmore Animal Hospital from their google reviews and called because we had to get our little Puggle eye surgery for cherry eyes in both eyes. As fur parents we were very nervous but the doctor answered everyone of our questions and the entire staff was so sweet and really seemed to enjoy our dog. The day of the surgery went amazing and they called to check on her. When we returned for the checkup the doctor was so sweet and really made us feel welcomed. So much that we are changing to Kenmore Animal Hospital for her vet appointments.

When we started coming here 2 years ago, it was a reasonably priced clinic we could take our dog to for routine shots. Since then the prices have gone up exponentially. This year was the last straw. After paying $311 for routine shots and 1 medication, we were then offered a $900 procedure to have my dogs teeth cleaned while sedated. I was then "scared" by being told they will have to extract her teeth soon (she's 2 years old and we try to brush her teeth). To add insult to injury, I was then offered a pet insurance for $80 a month as if I hadn't just paid enough for a routine visit. The kicker at the end was the survey that was sent out. When asked why we didn't elect the pet insurance or teeth cleaning "I don't care about my pet's health" was an option and implied. The whole experience left me feeling insulted and exploited. I care about my pet but paying $80 a month for health insurance is double what I pay for my own health care. 2 years ago I would have given Kenmore Animal Hospital 5 stars but now they get 2. The only saving grace is that everyone there is nice.

We all provide love and affection to our furbabies, for some of us these are our only children. When it comes to their health, it can be very stressful navigating through the many options for veterinary care. Yes, there are many reviews that you can look into, and to be honest that is what we did to ensure that our Nama, would get the best care available. Dr. Kadlec came highly recommended and for good reason. Although, we were not allowed to accompany Namaste into the clinic due to COVID-19. Kenmore Animal Hospital ensures that the experience for parents and furbaby is great. When you arrive you park in a spot, and a veterinarian technician comes out to happily greet you and speak to you regarding your visit. The staff at Kenmore Animal Hospital, from the beginning, were very friendly and despite having to stand outside in the heat, they still had so much energy and care for our baby. After they have triaged your furbaby, they take your pet inside where he or she is examined by the veterinarian. In our case, it was the wonderful, brilliant, talented, and caring Dr. Kadlec. We have a retired racing greyhound, and Dr. Kadlec has many years of experience with this particular breed. As we waited outside, we then were greeted not again by a vet tech, but the Dr herself who comes out and talks to you regarding the visit, concerns you may have, and answers all of your questions. Dr. Kadlec was amazing, she was patient, she was not in a rush. You can tell a lot about a person during your first encounter and I have nothing, but great things to say as Dr. Kadlec cared for our baby and answered every question. Lastly, affordability, we all have heard of vets just billing you for random things. You will not have that experience at Kenmore Animal Hospital, every cost is explained you are given a choice and there is no pressure to buy services your pet may not need. I cannot rave enough about the kindness, care and compassion showed by Dr. Kadlec and the entire staff of Kenmore Animal Hospital.

We used to absolutely love this place. Didn't have a pet for five years..got a new puppy so we felt great about going back.WHAT A MISTAKE..the level of concern for our puppy on its first visit was zero,,zilch and nada. As a business person I understand things come up and days rarely run as scheduled and things can get backed up. I also understand that good businesses with concern for their customers can easily pick up the phone and inform their customers that they are running behind and to delay their arrival so as not to UNNECESSARILY TRAUMATIZE a 12 week old puppy by making it wait in your small waiting room for a half hour. We left and I asked for someone to call me and someone did..too bad they tried explain away the situation making things worse. That was a shameful call for your business, apologize and move on when you cannot meet the promises you make to your customer, no need to be less than truthful to make up for bad business practices. I am disappointed by today's version of the Kenmore Small Animal Hospital..traumatizing pets is no way to treat the pets you are supposed to be helping. The gentleman working at the front desk was very polite, professional and apologetic. But was obviously not directed by clinic management to get on the phone and start calling the rest of the day's appointments to explain the delay. That is all the evidence I need to realize that this place, on this day, has no concern about making people wait or traumatizing my puppy. A simple phone call, 3 minutes on the phone, is all it takes to show concern for the people dishing out $$ because they love their pets. A simple phone call is more than the Kenmore Small Animal Hospital was able to do make sure that a 12 week old puppy would not be traumatized going to the vets office for possibly the rest of his life, A simple phone call shows you care. A simple phone call is a common business practice.

Dr. Hawkins is a great vet! I've been taking my dogs to KAH for years. I've never had a issue with KAH that was not a positive outcome. Dr Hawkins is always kind courteous and shows genuine concern for my dogs welfare. She explains the problems, treatment and all possible outcomes in a professional down to earth manner that puts you at ease when your pet needs care. I have always been seen in a timely manner. As a nurse I realize that things occasionally arise that put things behind schedule. The few times (and I mean few) the staff has been polite and apologetic. I couldn't speak more highly of Dr. Keisha Hawkins and everyone else involved. A great TEAM that worked together, beyond office hours and saved my cat, Toddy’s life! Dr. Hawkins and her staff have been just amazing with our beloved fur babies. We had a rough patch last year where we lost three of our loves in a few short months (old age (dog), car accident (cat), old age (cat)) and Dr. Hawkins and staff were so very kind, caring, and gentle with myself and the kids. They let us stay with our loves as long as we needed to after having to let them go.. they gave us clips of hair to save.. sent us condolence cards to let us know they were thinking of us... just very kind and caring. I even think I saw Dr. Hawkins tear up when I was saying goodbye to my 20 year old kitten Boo-- I'd had him for literally half my life and was just heartbroken. When we got our new kitty love-- Jane-- she went to see Dr. Hawkins, too! Jane is special in that she has a tracheal deformity-- and chirps like a bird instead of purring! Dr. Hawkins thought she was just the coolest kitten ever-- even took video of her! While we generally do our vaccines at the free clinics, we NEVER question bringing our loves to KAH for everything else as needed because we know they will get fantastic, affordable, and loving care.

I can’t say enough positive things about Kenmore Animal Hospital. We recently switched this vet and it is night and day from our other experiences. The vet techs are extremely knowledgeable and caring. We saw Dr. Carolyn, she educated us on all the topics that we needed to consider and gave us the pros and cons of each. We never felt they were recommending to over vaccinate our dog. Our golden retriever was spayed there, she was handled with great care and we received follow up calls to ensure that she was okay and to see if we had any concerns. We found our vet for life and we travel from the Southtowns to Kenmore Animal Hospital because we love it that much.

I've been going to Kenmore Small Animal Hospital for 14 years. I really like Dr.Hawkins and the staff. Their friendly , helpful and professional. My Dog has knee issues and I'm on a budget. He needed x-rays. I told Dr.Hawkins what money i had to work with. So she did the x-rays anyways and billed me the balance. That just don't happen these days. They wouldn’t take my sick dog on a weekday and told me to go to Greenacres. Greenacres are price gougers. They racked up a huge bill asking to keep my dog for observation. I took her home and she died a couple hours later. I went back for pain meds as she was suffering. They gave some bs pills that didn’t help her. I took her to KenmoreAnimalH for 11 years but they wouldn’t see her when it counted. I will never go back there again. Don’t count on them in a pinch.

Our kitty has had chronic stomach issues his entire life, and had been to a few other vets where not much was done. On our first visit, comprehensive testing was done, and some symptom management offered before we had a real fix. We're waiting on results now, but even the temporary medication has made a huge difference for him! You can tell this vet is very involved with each individual animal, and I highly recommend her for any cat whether they need a regular check up, or have a chronic ongoing problem.

I used to go this vet for 3 years while I'm living in Amherst area. One of my friend recommended here to me for my senior cat when I just moved to this city. From the first day of visit, and until the last time, they have been taking care of my cat so amazingly. I got the Paws plan for a year for my cat to get awesome benefits and oral care. Also when she was sick and I was so panic, they were very professional and good cared of her! I really loved this place and feel sad that I have to find another place to bring my kitty where could give same trust and love as they did. (I'm moving away to Texas). The staffs and doctors are so nice and friendly, also professional. Dr. Hawkins usually took care of my cat and she is just amazing. And I often call to them to ask any little questions or concerns and every time they were so welcomed and nice. Moreover, I'm sure their prices are also reasonable (compare to two other vets that we went to in Seattle). I hope you can experience their love with your little family too :)

I was so happy to go to Kenmore Animal Hospital. We went there two years ago to get our dog spayed and micro chipped. The staff was wonderful and took great care of her. One of our cats within the past year had an issue we couldn't figure out. Our first vet did not do much for her and had her on medication which did nothing. We went back for a check up the vet said she felt her health and weight was fine. Our cat lost over 3 pounds in 4 months. Not normal and she was constantly eating and not gaining weight. We took her to Kenmore Animal Hospital for a second opinion and we were glad we did. They figured out her issue in no time and we just went for a follow up and are glad our cat is healthy and gained her weight back. Dr. Hawkins and the staff were so helpful and patient with us and answered all our questions. They really did an awesome job and accommodated us for our cat's needs. I will most likely move our other cat and dog there as patients in the near future. Thank you so much everyone at Kenmore Animal Hospital. Two thumbs up !!!

I rave about this vet all the time and everyone I talk to that goes here says the same thing. I've been going here for well over a decade with both my personal and my family dogs. Every animal has been treated so well - with such care and compassion. From the techs to the vets, everyone here is here for the animals (for real). I've had vets come out to my car (even in inclimate weather) to care to my dogs who wouldn't go in. I recently had a serious emergency where I thought my dog was going to die! They rushed to care for her and saved her and have been continuing to provide wonderful and detailed care! I cannot say enough good things about this vet but I'll also add that they do not nickel and dime you, they do have a website with which you can order prevention easily and on a renewal, and they have text reminders. All terrific perks!

Over priced and have numerous hidden fees. We always called ahead of time and every single time we did they told us there are no fees and once we actually got there it was " that will be 36$" here or "7.50" there. This place is a rip off, the first day we went we wanted the plan that started with 56dollars, we spoke over the phone before we got our first cat and she said it would only be 56 dollars then we get there and it wasn't until the middle of our appointment that they said it would be an extra 44 dollars since it's the first time. We also used up all of our visits in the first 3 times because they postponed certain things until your next visits. If im paying 700+ dollars why am I getting additional fees and being told what the money is for AFTER I already called an asked ? Then that next next appointment is when I can finally get my cat spaded ???? So now we are out of visit even after I told them at the very first one that my cat has a problem with his leg because he limps. Them thinking that I don't have a degree in their field that I don't know as much as they do they disregarded my comment and now that he is older and weighs more he can't run like when he was a kitten. He still limps and actually trips sometimes because of his leg. But I don't know anything right? Im just someone bringing their cat in just to pay almost a grand for him to be overlooked. I was so disapointmed in there service that I removed my card off of their plan so that i couldnt be rolled into another contracted agreement this coming up year. From then on I came in to pay the monthly balance right down to the nickle. But instead of removing my card the charged an additional month on there on a Friday right when she was leaving the office and when I messaged her about this she said that she wouldn't be able to do anything until Monday because she won't be in the office so I told them if they do that again there will be a very big issue. a day or too before it was even Friday i requested they remove my card and not only did they keep my information but they charged me literally right before they left the office. I will be finishing paying this place off because we want nothing to do with their services ever again and I would not recommend this place. You should only go there if you want to waste money and or you seem from around the area. Since we looked out of place we were treated differently and this is something that was tough for me to point out because I've never had it happen to me before and I don't want to assume that about a company but I just can't get over how we were treated by this place even from the first day. I would never recommend this place. Shameful place
