My family recently had to have our pomeranian put to rest due to his health and other issues. Chester had been going to this clinic since he was a puppy, 16 years ago. My other dog still comes to this location too. Everything was handled professionally. Definitely reccomend.

Anytime I have called there the staff is rude, I'm in search of a new vet, the doctor didn't listen to my puppy's heart, I complained about her scratching and shaking her head he checked her for fleas and didn't find any never but never gave me any indication of why she kept scratching, my thoughts are she has some kind of skin problem he didn't seem to look any further into any of it he just glanced at her ears I just feel bad for a first time check up he should've done more than what he did, so four weeks later my puppy is still scratching and shaking her head hopefully the next vet go to will find the problem, I didn't feel they were professional at all .

I love Dr. McCarthy! He helped treat my cat's urinary issues a few years back. With that being said, the receptionists that work for him are absolutely terrible! Rude and condescending! Especially the red-headed one (I didn't catch her name). She interrupts you, and talks down to you. I know how tough a receptionist job can be in a vet's office, because I used to work in one. But, I would never speak to clients the way this woman does! There is a difference between speaking to actual rude clients (because there are very rude clients), and speaking to those who are worried clients. I refuse to go back until they hire a whole new front staff (let go of the red-head because she is a major issue). Do yourself a favor, and choose another vet office!

Great first time experience with Bella and pumpkin . What I didn't like was one of the ladies at the front desk , she was very short with me on the phone . I felt like saying I'm spending a decent amount of money at this vent.

We love both doctors McCarthy, but the younger is especially good. He takes great care to explain what is going on and how the treatment plan will work. He is super patient with us and our pets and seems to care deeply about the well-being of our animals. He has stayed late to meet with us when our dog was ill and we couldn’t get there during regular hours. I have not had any issues with the front desk people so I can’t comment on that, but the veterinarians themselves have repeatedly shown that they are skilled, caring and dedicated. Based on my experiences and those of my friends and relatives over many years, I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Honestly the younger male doctor is amazing the ONLY issue is literally everything else. They treat every person who comes in with an actual issue like the ghetto trash they surround themselves with. They base in Niagara Falls but clearly styerotype and discriminate. My perfectly healthy pet went in for a runny nose amd now she can't walk. When I called to make note of this and ask for a payment arrangement they simply hung up on me. Then a women VET TECH not even the Doctor came out to tell me that pets coast alot and that if I can afford her to surrender her. When I told her that like every other middle class American I live paycheck to paycheck she rolled her eyes. Ive been to this "Hospital" 3 times this month alone, seems like they're more looking for a check then to make sure your fur-baby is taken care of.

I lived in Niagara Falls for about six months, and they took great care of my dog. He hurt himself shortly after I just moved to the city, I called because they were the closest veterinary clinic, and they let us come in right away even though my dog was a new patient.

I recently came across someone asking for recommendations for vets, and I recommended Ford and then decided to give them official review here. I absolutely love Ford. I have gone to a few different vets over the years, and they are by far the best yet. I started taking my puppy in March and the staff was fantastic. The women in the reception area are so sincere and kind first of all. Always very helpful with questions over the phone and address any concern you have. Dr. Patrick McCarthy was the first vet I met there and he was beyond informative and helpful with my LIST of concerns (being a first time (on my own) puppy owner.) I was previously using a different vet for my two cats since it was closer to my old home, but a semi-emergency came up last week that required one of my cats to need a visit. The normal vet tech at their old vet warned that I actually should not bring her there, due to the fact that the vet would overcharge me ($800). Ford got me in within two hours of calling, and we saw Dr. Tutu. They provided the NECESSARY care, which ended up being less than $100. For anyone looking for genuine care, without the fear they may be out to make a few extra dollars off of you, Ford is my #1 recommendation. Sidenote: Even though he has no idea, Dr. Walter McCarthy used to be a customer of mine at a restaurant I worked at. He is a genuinely kind man, at work and outside of work.

Ford veterinary hospital is amazing. It is a father and son owned business and they had really helped me in a time of need for my poor kitty Milo. He had a bad case of feline urinary tract disease (futd) incurable relying on surgery as an only option to save him. They offer military discounts and it saved me alot for it!

I love Ford! I have been going to them faithful for about 10yrs now. I have never had an issue. They are thorough and gentle. When having to put my Mastiff down 8yrs ago I could not have asked for better care, they were compassionate and caring.

Go to Lewiston Animal Hospital if you can. My dogs fought with a raccoon today at around lunch time (12pm). I seen the raccoon attached to my mixed breed dog, 69lbs, and can only assume my golden, 75lbs, was engaged also. My wife and I both called Ford vet clinic, pleading for information and to come in right away and get rabies shots (the golden was due today and the mixed breed next week for their shots). The lady on the phone was very harsh and lacked compassion and understanding of our situation. I feel bad for this clinic because we do like the doctors that see our animals, but that type of poor treatment during a stressful and potentially emergency situation is just awful. On the positive, Lewiston Animal Hospital was helpful, called the county health department on our behalf (raccoon was picked up an hour later for rabies testing), such a positive attitude, sense of urgency and understanding to our issues. Use them as a mentor in service Ford Vet.

Took our dachshund "Hank" there for constant scratching condition. The "younger" doctor saw him, and diagnosed he was having allergy problems (something we hadn't even thought of). After a vaccine he was totally different in 24 hours !

I have been going to this vet for my whole life. My mom brought my bunny in. His leg was mangled. I am 54 now and still call them first. Never had to call elsewhere. Went recently and had a good visitanother

Very rude and nasty here. I feel they're responsible for further injury to my friends cat leg and refused to at least look at her now that she hasn't been abe to move in days. When we came there to confront the receptiniest for hanging up in our faces and to talk to a manager, things got heated when they tried talking down to us after everything they have done and ordered us to leave and never come back. If you love your animals don't take them to this location. My dog is my princess and I know my dog and my friends cat deserves the best because they are family. This vet is definitely not the best for our family.

We brought our Six year old Yorkie, Mia, here after she had been acting strange and throwing up. They gave us motion sickness medicine and some fluids sent us on our way when the throwing up got even worse we called back and they told us to wait it out the rest of the night and call back in the morning with how she was doing. That night our dog had pasted away.

This goes back to 1996 and before that. Things may have changed a lot since then but at that time it was run by McCarthy who didn't like cats. I had a horrible experience with terminal care of my cat. He suffered an agonizing death due to their uncaring methods. There were many others who had bad things to say about Ford at the time so I'm surprised there are all the good reviews now.

Our 14 year old beagle Rosie had surgery a week ago & is doing beautifully. She had a large infected lipoma removed, but due her age & heart condition, she was high risk. Everything worked out well & she is 100% better.

Had a appointment scheduled with them today 09/04/20. They called me this morning to let me know my appointment is 30 minutes before they close and I can still come but they won't do anything for my pet. I have two pets with them but now ill be looking for a new one.

I just moved here from another state and I am very happy that all animal clinics are not unfriendly. Fantastic customer service. Didn't even sit in the lobby, brought right back to a room. Informative, gave my girl 2 shots - and that was it. Reasonable prices. Clean clinic. This will be my regular vet.

Drs. Walter and Patrick McCarthy, and Dr. Tutu, and technicians are knowledgeable and caring if you can get past the hateful sappy receptionist who has hung up on me more than once. This was without argument or disagreement on my part. Anyway, they extended the life and comfort of our last dog Roxie. Walter also did an emergency operation to save her when she had an infection, before that. This was a dog with a bad heart valve, high risk.
