Cropped my Corso's ears uneven and charged me too much for everything! $125 for parvo and distemper. My new vet did that for $15. He doesn't listen to anything you say. My dog looks lopsided. DO NOT LET THIS VET ALTER YOUR DOG!

This place is a scam.they tried to charge a needle disposal fee of 6bucks.they do things without talking to you about and just throw a astronomical bill at you.would not recommend anyone go there.

We had a tough decision to make, and they really helped us, consoled us and did a wonderful job as we made our decision to say goodbye to our furry family member. I have two kitties of my own and I will definitely go see them more often. Unlike other vets I've been to, these vets care for the animals and their owners. Amazing work and thanks again for being understanding and caring for us.

The service I received for my dog Tony was wonderful, I called because Tony face and neck was swollen. He was having an allergic reaction to a spider bite. The staff got us in with in 1 hour, they gave me meds for Tony explained everything in full detail including what expect over the next couples days, answered all my questions and didn'the break my bank. Even gave me their cell number in case of am emergency. My fiance and I are very happy and thanks to these folks kind and caring service, Tony will be fine in a couple of days. Had to pay almost $1000 for one cat. They overcharged me to an extreme. At Tri-town Veterinary hospital I got charged a fraction of that for another cat of mine. They had the same symptoms and not much was different between the two. They both had the same virus. I also told this the vet at ESAH that I didn't have much money to spend and that I was spending my savings money. I also mentioned I wanted to do the minimum only because of these outrageous prices. He still told me all of the tests he was planning on doing absolutely needed to be done. Another thing I didn't like was that they had to apparently sedate him, but my other cat did just fine without any need for sedation at Tri-town. I'm appalled. My cat also came back traumatized and shaking. Please don't take your pet here if you don't want to be duped into breaking the bank, and having your pet possibly traumatized.

I will never go to this vet again nor recommend it to anyone. I took my boxer puppy there at 3 days old to get her tail docked and the vet cut it so short her bone was exposed (I had no idea the little white I kept looking at was the bone. At the time I thought it was pus) and she had a foul odor just hours after the docking was done. He assured me everything was fine and sent me on my way. I trusted him thinking he was a licensed vet who knew what he was doing but I was wrong. My dog was moaning in pain all night than I took her back because she was in clear pain and had a foul odor coming from the tail so i asked for antibiotics and the vet said she didn't have an infection so she didn't need the antibiotics. He told me she was fine she just needed restiching so he took my dog to the back where I heard her screaming and when he brought her out she was wrapped in a towel that had blood on it with new stiching that didn't even look properly done because the stiches were hanging out. The stiches weren't tight at all. They were loose. I took her to hamburg vet on Pleasant RD the same day for a second opinion and was told that the white I was looking at wasn't pus but instead her actual bone and she had an infection and needed antibiotics and that she may never be able to hold her stools thanks to how short he cut the tail and if not for the Hamburg vet giving me antibiotics she wouldnt of survived the night. When i went back to elmwood to inform him them that I got a second opinion and was told she had a infection and could of died all they said was that the vet in Hamburg lied and just wanted my money than they asked did I tell anyone and they said her tail was like that from her biting it. How could a week old puppy bite a tail he completely cut down to the bone or how could she let alone reach the tail?? This Elmwood vet is a scam and they will do anything to get money from a patient even if that means doing a procedure they know nothing about. PLEASE NO ONE GO TO THIS MONSTER VET. HE SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN!! I WISH I COULD POST PICTURES ON HERE THAT I HAVE OF WHAT HE DID TO MY DOG!!! Thank Lord my dog is 2 years old now and saved thanks to the Hamburg vet. Hamburg vet are amazing people who see a wide range of animals and their prices are beyond affordable and they will even work with you on prices if needed. Please go check them out and don't take your dog here. This Elmwood vet is truly a horrible place. If you still insist on going here please don't let them dock your puppies tails!!! They don't know how yet they will still attempt it!!

The vet and staff at Elmwood Small Animal Hospital literally saved my little Luna’s life. I called in the morning after being seriously concerned. They got her in ASAP and then we’re able to get her into emergency surgery within just hours. The surgery saved her life and she is recovering so well. The staff has been so kind and understanding, even texting me to answer all my questions and concerns. I am so grateful for the work that they do. And I’m even more grateful that they helped a piece of our family survive something that could have easily killed her.

Unfortunately my visit today was to mourn the irresponsible loss of a family member. Our beloved Kulture was a blessing to all of us. She was my sister and brother inlaws dog and was brought in for a routine procedure that she was cleared for medically 24 hrs prior. After hours of no communication at all, my sister was rudely informed that the "vet" was trying to save her dog. No explanation as to what happened at all, then she was forced to pay an additional fee to have the medical records released. This was just not a pet, Kulture was the first offspring and was going to be the cornerstone to my sister and brothers new business. They invested alot to make sure she we was healthy, not to mention she was an extraordinary breed that is in very high demand. They not only lost a family member but a serious financial investment. We are fully aware that things happen during surgery but she didn't even make it into surgery, and we were given no explanation at all. R.I.P KULTURE

Elmwood Small Animal Hospital has Treated 3 of my pets now. The staff always goes the distance to make you feel safe and has even stayed late to help me out. They always remember me and my pets by name and have always accommodated me whether administering the first round of shots or making arrangements for an elderly chronic dog.

I am grateful and overwhelmed by the kindness the staff at elmwood small animal hospital has shown us with the care my cat, Buzzo, has needed. The reassurance that he is in well educated and gentle hands while he recovers from a scary infection allows me give them 5 stars without hesitation. I went to them originally because they are right up the street from me, but I will continue to go to them and recommend them to friends and family. I know our Buzzo is in great hands... I can not speak high enough about the hospital and all that work there. They truly are a god send!

When my cat began suddenly showing signs of distress ESAH took us on a few hours notice and even though they closed at 6 helped us until after 8pm without once mentioning that we were going too late. They treated us with the same attention as if we had come not after hours, which we greatly appreciated! My cat is doing much better and we are thankful for the care we received for him.

I give 3 stars because up until TODAY, we had received very pleasant & welcoming service for both of our babies. Today (6/22/20) my husband called ahead to confirm well before 10 am. My dog & I arrived about 10 mins later. I had forgotten my phone at home, so I had to knock on the window & make them aware that we had arrived. I was wearing a mask. 10- 15 mins later an employee came to the door & accused me of being late & said that we would have to wait to be seen. THAT WAS UNACCEPTABLE AS WE HAD STOOD OUT THERE FOR 10-15 MINS. WE WERE NOT LATE. Since I DECLINED THE VISIT & WENT HOME because MY FUR IS PREGNANT & VERY UNCOMFORTABLE IN THE HEAT, MY HUSBAND CALLED & SOME WOMAN WOULDNT ALLOW HIM A WORD IN EDGE WISE. SO WE ASKED/ DEMANDED THAT OUR CARD BE REMOVED FROM ANY ACCOUNTS, AS WE WOULD NEVER RETURN. SHE WAS RUDE & THREATENED TO CONTINUE TO CHARGE OUR CARD. MIND U NEITHER OF OUR BABIES HAVE BEEN AT THERE SINCE 2019... WELL BEFORE COVID-19. I WILL NEVER REFER THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. I edited my review because I'm un able to RESPOND TO THE OWNER.
