Update: Just wanted to update this review because I've been taking my cat to this vet for just about 2 years and I cannot stress enough just how wonderful all the staff are. The amount of patience and care they show my grumpy old cat is incredible and I can honestly see the difference between how stress free he comes home versus how he used to come home from other vets we have tried. Can't recommend this place enough. We had been dealing with my cats illness at a different vet for months and decided to switch over because we were unhappy with the old vet. Unfortunately, it was too late and I was only able to bring him in the day he passed away, but they were so so kind to us here and even went over previous results that our other vet had not covered with us. I have brought another one of my cats, as well as my mom's cats here and they are always willing to give us their full attention, give us extra time and are knowledgable and very clear with instructions. Because they do give you that extra attention, it is a little bit more pricey than other vets, but they are far more caring and if you can afford the little extra, it is worth it for your pet to have a far less stressful experience.

Mindful Mutts All Things Dog!

This veterinary hospital takes good care of cats and dogs not only physically, but in a way that considers their emotional well being as well. They've also been great advocates for science based training and behaviour meds for pets that are struggling with different levels of anxiety. They've been great to work with personally with our own dogs but also in collaboration with mutual clientele. Highly recommend them!

I desperatly needed my dogs nailed clipped and they were able to get me in the same day. The vet met me in the car park and took care of my dogs nails in no time. She was really caring and put my nervous dog at ease. The place looks brand new and very clean inside. They were on time and the price was very reasonable. Doctor Clark, previously owner of the best of Georgia Straight (multiple years) clinic, Granville Island Veterinary Hospital, is now at Queensborough making what was already an amazing little clinic one that I would recommend no matter where you live. Doctor Clark has cared for many of my animals over the years and he’s highly knowledgeable, genuinely cares about the animals, and has helped me through numerous surgeries etc. The clinic staff (Tracie is the best!) are all caring and you don’t feel like you are rushed out for the next appointment. Thank you for all you do! A hidden gem of a clinic.

Their care and compassion for both the patients and their humans is 5 star! I appreciate the dual entrance so cats and dogs have their own waiting rooms. All of the staff members I met were wonderful and made our cat's comfort their #1 priority. And when that time came, it was respectful, peaceful and completed with understanding. I am so happy we found Queensborough Vet Hospital. Everyone that works there is so amazing. We've had 3 different vets in the last year who have seen our cat Gizmo and that's the only thing I wish was more consistent. We have a puppy and a senior cat - both have been treated with great care and attention at Queensborough vet! We've had previous vets that felt transactional, racing to get us out the door. But with Queensborough, we have never felt more heard! They take time to talk with you. It is great to feel like your vet actually cares about your pets. Our dog had many allergies and they finally helped us get her digestive system and itchyness on track. Our first visit there, they checked our puppy outside, which made her feel so much more at ease. And they had to extract urine from her bladder, and our pup didn't even notice it was happening! Their low-stress efforts make all the difference. Thank you Queensborough Vet!

I feel so fortunate to have Dr. John Clarke as my dog's vet. My dog is a new rescue with couple of health issues. Dr.Clarke examined my dog and prescribed us medication. He even called personally to check up on my dog's recovery after 10 days then after 20 days. Dr.Clarke truly cares about his furry patients! I find him very reliable and professional. I highly recommend him as a vet.

Great Vet! We first came across this place when they were promoting themselves at a dog event in Nee Westminster. We won a “free exam” coupon at their booth and decided to use it since our puppy was going to get neutered soon after. The doctor gave us an estimate and what to expect for the neutering surgery. Their receptionist Tracie is very helpful and very caring towards pets. They are very prompt with their email responses. Anytime you have a concern about your pet, they will email or call you back ASAP. Their doctor, Dr. Kwan is very kind and professional. She took good care of our puppy during his visits and also referred us to the right places when our puppy got sick. We had a really good experience with this place and ultimately decided to make this our home vet.

Having moved to BC recently, I was really happy to find this veterinarian. Was in touch with Tracie through emails and met Debbie at the clinic. Both are lovely - an insight into the wonderful people they are. Dr. John Clark was very kind and knowledgeable. He really gives tips about your pets general well-being and handles them with so much care. Thank you guys, you are all doing a wonderful job. Keep it up!

My puppy was swarmed by bees while playing outside. They got me an appointment right away I was in and out within 15 minutes. The swelling on her nose went down right away and she was completely fine the next day. The price was very reasonable as well. 10/10 recommend.

Today was our first visit with our puppy and what a great experience! Not only did she love Dr. Clark, but as soon as he came in the room he sat on the floor with her to make her comfortable (she loved him right away!). He was full of insight and tips as to how to take care of our little one. The staff were also fantastic from the very first interaction, very pleasant and helpful on the phone. Everything was amazing from start to finish, we can’t wait to go back!

We tried this clinic after moving to the area from another province, and having two not-great experiences at another local clinic. The care we’ve received for our senior dog has been beyond phenomenal. Thank you Queensborough Vet for being so kind, honest, and caring. We wouldn’t go anywhere else!!

My review is on my experience with their employee/vet tech, Joelle. Throughout our interaction, Joelle has been very unprofessional and extremely disrespectful in the way she communicated with us. Prior to today's check up, Joelle had provided information for us via voicemail and email in regards to my precious dog. In the email, she ended it with: "would hate for you to be left in a situation where you might lose not only the puppies, but her as well." This condescending and fear based antics was uncalled for and appalling. Regardless, my wife and I still listened and read the information and made a decision based on what we are comfortable with. This decision was not what Joelle had recommended which still lead to a healthy result. However, in today's check up she came in the room and RAGED at me. She walked in, did not greet me or my dog, literally raised her voice and repeatily scolded me with hurtful words that made me felt as if I did not care or love for my precious family member. On top of that, Joelle's aggressive and threatening behaviour scared my poor dog. I had to ask and repeat my request politely three times before she stop and moved on to the check up. I do understand that everyone in the vet industry cares for animals very much and that they have our pets best interest in mind based on the knowledge they have. But this does not mean that Joelle's rude, aggressive and condescending behaviour is acceptable. This review is about Joelle's unprofessionalism and how she handled me as a customer. My wife and I believe that no one should experience that amount of rage, scolding, and hurt that Joelle has caused. I was very hurt after the visit and I hope to share my experience so other people will know what to expect if you were to get Joelle at the vet. The vet was apologetic for Joelle's behaviour and also said that her scolding was overboard as she raised her voice so loudly that it was heard throughout the clinic. I do appreciate the vet and Tracie as they were amazing despite my encounter with Joelle.

This vet is amazing!! We had our dog (kaia ) there twice recently they went above and beyond with their care for her. They really know what they are talking about very reasonable prices , they dont push things on you that ur pet dont need! All the staff is amazing to deal with I well not go anywhere else.. Queensborough animal hospital is by far the best! I took my pup for the first time after reading the reviews and I have never been happier. Staff is super friendly and they care about your pet so much. They even call you, email you to check up on your pup the next day. How great is that?! Not only that, Tracie came from home to give my boy Romeo medicine after the vaccine because Romeo was in pain. Kaneycia is so awesome too. I highly recommend this place. I do not have enough words to thank them for the amazing service they provide to their clients.

I’ve taken my dog here numerous times and they always take such great care of her. She has been treated by different doctors here and they have all been very patient and answered all my questions thoroughly. I especially want to mention that Tracie, who works at the front, is exceptional. She is so kind and you can tell she genuinely cares about your pet’s wellbeing. This clinic is a bit more expensive than the one I used to go to but I feel the extra cost is well worth it so I will continue to bring my dog here.

I got my new puppy, he had diarrhea and vomiting on the first day. The next day, the breeder told me that one of his sibling was tested positive for parvo. I was worried, so I called them, told them what happened, and made appointment for a parvo test. The appointment was at 3 p.m. the same day. I took my puppy there, and they took him in and exanimated him. When I had to wait outside due to Covid. Later I was told he had no fever, no abdomen pain, they didn't think he had parvo. We we sent home with a bill of $118 dollars for the examination, 6 can of puppy dog food, and 30ml of complementary supplement . Overnight my puppy got really sick with severe diarrhea and vomiting. We had to take him to the emergency animal hospital. He was tested positive for parvo. I called the Queensborough Veterinary Hospital and asked why the two tests had different results. They told me they didn't do the test yesterday. I was shocked. Parvo virus is highly contagious yet easily tested. It only took the other hospital 10 minutes to confirm it. I don't understand why I asked for a test, and they didn't do it, and they told me he is fine. Parvo is fatal for puppy if they are not treated in time. My puppy is now hospitalized, and I am so worry about him. The two day treatment plan cost over $5000. It is so painful to see my puppy suffering. I am really disappointed at Queensborough Veterinary Hospital, they are not taking my puppy's life seriously.

All the staff at Queensborough Vet are super friendly and knowledgeable. They also play and interact with my dog so I know he’s in good hands with them. My dog is generally quite anxious and they know just how to handle him properly to try and keep the vet experience as enjoyable as they can for him. We had a great experience for our kitten's first vet check up and vaccinations. And our follow-up appointment for her booster shots was also great. Though there are vets closer to us, we will continue taking our cat to Queensborough Veterinary clinic. There are also separate doors, reception areas and exam rooms for dogs and cats. Update: Kitten was spayed here recently and the process and precautions once she was back home was well explained by Registered Vet Tech, Joelle. Kitten was comfortable and relaxed upon arrival and I received a call once she was in recovery.

Dr. MacGregor and Tracy are so wonderful and caring. I had to put my beautiful girl to rest on saturday and they made the worst day of my life so much easier with their care and compassion. We also saw Dr. Upjohn there previously and he is so knowledgeable and caring as well. I have been to many vets over the last 18 years with both my girls and Queensborough is hands down the best.
