Isles clearly marked so easy to find items. Friendly staff. I would have gave all 5 stars however, the last 2 times I was there I was going to buy a bb gun however, I was told they were out back and it was to late for them to get them to show me. I've been in the customer for field most of my life and and a manager of a store so when being told "its to late" well it's never to late if the lights are on, staff is present, and if there's potential for a large sale. I believe management may need to do some more training for new staff.

They DO NOT take care of their animals. Dead gerbil sitting in the tank, dead fish floating and rotting dead fish at bottom of over crowded in cleaned tanks on several occasions. Two dead fish in over a week after bringing home. DO NOT SUPPORT this horrific pet store.

We started coming here for training for our dog and we love that the training is based on trying to get your dog excited to see you and obey out of love. Heather, the trainer, also gives lots of suggestions for tteats and toys which we appreciate. Every staff member is so awesome and nice and they always say hi. When I was having car issues they let me and my dog stay in the training centre while I was waiting for my boyfriend to come pick me up and made sure there was water for our dog. I will always come back here and recommend this store.

When it comes to almost any common pet the staff here are knowledgeable and able to help, although I would not recommend asking about aquaria or reptiles since most stores don't know much about exotic pets. Good service and a well kept store overall, they're also pet friendly.

Petsmart is a great store. But, there are still issues. Sometimes I see dead fish in the fish tanks. Some fish look very weak and sick. The feeder fish look VERY bad... the cannon thing actually KILLS the poor fish. I can tell there is lack of feeding for the fish because the fish eat eachother. ;( there was one fish I saw and it was in very bad condition. It’s side fins had been eaten off and it was trying to swim by flipping its back fin. A LOT of fish were dead in the corner and the employees hadn’t taken them out. A lot of fish had gotten stuck in small spaces and were crushed by the giant cannon. Petsmart, I really hope your reading this. It makes me sad to think that this is happening. Fish have feelings too ????

I find it is a great store with many great supplies, excellent grooming facilities, etc. But I find it a little on the low end of care when it comes to care of the live reptiles and fish. While some were in great conditions, others were not. Such as, for example, the hatchling Chinese water dragons being housed with the mountain horned lizards. They were put in the same enclosure because thy looked "similar". Mhl's (mountain horned lizards) and CWD's( Chinese water dragons) should not be housed together , due to the fact they both need two different temperature ranges to be healthy, mhls need a lower temp, while cwds need higher temps. Leopard geckos are housed together as well although they are a solitary species, and when housed together, it leads to fighting, stress, and a host of other problems. Siamese Fighting fish are kept in tiny cups, now this may seem okay, but this leads to waste rising to high toxicity level, nitrite and ammonia levels getting high enough to fatality, and oxygen depletion. Some other species of fish are sickly as well....

They are always so friendly at PetSmart. I find the groomers to be very good at their job and make my pup look super! The store is also pet friendly, so as long as your pup is on a leash, they can go in with you to pick out their own treat or toy. Everytime I pull into the parking lot, my pup gets excited because she loved going I to the store and being social.

A good store for pet needs. Our dog needs vegan food and this is one of the places we get it. I wish they allowed to order food over the phone because of Covid. You have to order online to pick up at the store. I think pet stores should have been part of the essential services. One good thing is that they are still making appointments for grooming. Staff is always good and helpful during normal times. There is plenty of parking spaces.

Large pet store, lots of selection and reasonable prices. They have educational events and promotional seasonal events. You are encouraged to bring your pet to these events but beware, the owners have to supervise their pets and sometimes they don't. I was standing in line waiting for Easter bunny pictures with my baby English mastiff and a mean old bulldog in front of us went after her while the owner just laughed. I had to carry her the whole time. Also I went to collect the free birthday treat which they couldn't give me because they didn't send me the email even though I signed up months in advance so there's definitely some glitches there.

Not happy with the service at all! Booked an appointment over a month ago on line to get my dogs haircut. Booked for 10 a.m everything was fine wake up today to take my dog but i have some voicemails. Petsmart had moved my appt an hr earlier. They called me with no time at all. 9:05 they left a vm stating if i cant be here before 930 they will not be able to take him. Weird right! I know since my appt was for 10. I wake up call them and the response well you booked 9 a.m nope no i didnt and read my confirmation email back. Annas response sorry our online function isnt working we booked you for 9! Well thanks for the heads up petsmart. Then incase we didn't know she had too make it clear we missed our appointment and they cant fit us in again till the end of July! We waited a month yes i know crazy times a hair cut for a dog isnt important but now we are waiting 2 months maybe longer. We won't be back and wont recommend them they wasted my time and had no consideration or even care

Couldn't get the dog food I needed in Niagara was willing to travel but the website makes it difficult to online shop at other locations instead of Niagara. The website kept sending me back to Niagara location. Also my 4-year-old granddaughter's fish died tried to replace it I know it's not essential but to a 4-year-old it is ???? it didn't matter what one they brought me I just needed them to sell me a fish. If they sell them we should be able to still buy them they are still open even if only for curbside bring him in a bag.I spent quite a bit of money there before the lockdown getting a nice big fish tank all the supplies for the fish tank snails and now all I have is snails that have no ALGIE to eat cuz there are no fish

I bought 5 fish and a snail the snail ate 2 of the fish. I called one petsmart who said the snail shouldn't even love with the fish i bought and i should go to the petsmart i bought them at and have the fish replaced. When I get to the store the CUSTOMER service girl was so incredibly rude. She told me I needed to have the bodies. Ahahah the snail ste them how would I get the bodies? Well thats our policy ill give you 2 new fish this time hut next time we will not honor this. I'm like I don't think so 1 fish was 13.00 and the other 9.00. Should I take the snail apart to get the body for you? One store says one thing another store something different. Same petsmart store. Be kind i wasnt rude or hostile towards you till you had an attitude and trust that gets you know where

They refused to cut my dogs hair because I don't have paperwork saying she has her rabies shot as I got her as a full grown dog from a few hours away I was unable to get the paperwork. I have never had any issues getting her hair cut before so it was rather annoying. The store itself is great. The staff are very nice and helpful. They always have what I am looking for.

I go here for all my pets needs (dog, cat and breaded dragon). The staff are super friendly and some of them has an animal or 2 themselves. The dog trainer there helped me with training my puppy when she was a puppy and helped my boyfriend to understand the pack order with having a puppy in the house. I would have given all 5 stars, but a couple of times while looking for my dog's needs the staff that day wasn't aware what I needed, which was strange because over 90% of the time they are super knowledgeable. I really enjoy the fact that they allow pet owners bring in their pets to enjoy the shopping experience too. My dog hardly ever leaves without begging me for a new toy. The staff all smile and laugh when they watch her walk out of the store with her new toy or bone in her mouth.

We love how we are treated when walking through the door my pup butterball feels so loved by his friends “stuff” at the store we feel like family each and every time we enter them doors, to be honest we are moving from Niagara Falls ont as of may 1/2019 but I can honestly say we will make the drive to this store only because we have enter other store before and we didn’t feel as loved as we do before he even get his paws though the doors at well what we call butterballs store “pet smart”which is located in Niagara Falls ont on oak wood drive. If I could leave no stars I would. Petsmart is literally the worst pet store ever. For almost a year they have been out of stock of the type of food we need. Their excuse is that their hands are tied and nothing they can do. Our dogs can only handle one type of food otherwise we would have switched. Avoid this store at all costs.

Prices are to be expected from corporate but it's very dissapointing seeing prices like $500-$650 for a green cheek conure. Typically for one of these, breeders will charge 150-250 depending on color. It's sad seeing them sit for so long, spending a lot of time alone due to its insane price tag.

Read the great reviews here and loved my Kingston PetSmart location so booked my doodle in for a bath when we moved to the area to try it out. Got to the groomers and was turned away in the most degrading and hurtful manner. I explained that in criticizing my dog they were criticizing me, the owner. I knew his coat was getting matted and had planned on booking in shave in the next couple weeks once I had met the staff and saw their quality of work with the bath. The manager of the groomers back peddled and tried to take back her words however I was already hurt and on the verge of tears. The store manager offered free services but I feel I couldn't ever leave my dog in the hands of someone who was so rude and degraded my dog in front her staff member. Businesses should not turn away their clients especially new clients. Clearly this box store doesn't rely on clients satisfaction. I hope to find a groomers in the area that is respectful to all dogs no matter their condition and offer services to improve a dogs coat as oppose to turning clients away.

Okay place to visit for premium pet supplies, but the prices are quite high compared to PetValu, for example. Their cheapest 156 g canned cat food was $1.89, which is a lot more than the cheapest cans elsewhere. For premium cat foods, I prefer to go to Global Pets. Bad customer service, called this store to ask for an inventory check on my dogs food. When I asked if they could put it aside for me to pick it up within the coming hour and they told me they couldn’t do it and my only option was to buy it online so I did, after 40 minutes from my online purchase I still had no confirmation for pick up so I called the store again, the staff who answered told me there was a 3h window and they were so busy that nobody had time to bring a bag of food to the front, I asked if I could just pick up the food myself as I didn’t wanna wait 3hrs and if I could cancel the online order after purchasing the food in person, but the staff told me “it’s not that easy”… Do not! purchase online orders from this store.. this is not the first time this happens to me here, you will be treated like a “second class customer”

Had a bad experience today went in to buy some toys for our dog from the ad that came out today b2g1 when we went up to cash it didnt ring up that way after about 10min of us sitting waiting for the people in office to figure what to do. They came out a d still didnt have a answer until I pulled flyer up on phone then they honoured the ad. They didnt even have access to there own ad. The service was absolutely atrocious and how they stay in business is beyond my perception. Place an email order that states the order will be ready for pickup within an hour and get there an hour and a half later and still not ready plus items are out of stock. Waited another 45 minutes and than I'm told to get to the back of the line when only 1 cashier is open. They will never see me again. I would pay double to receive decent service and be treated like a customer and not an intruder.

This is a great location for all your pet needs that is close to the highway with ample free parking and an awesome selection of cat and dog food, treats, etc. They also sell tank fish, small birds, and pet supplies for virtually every type of pet imaginable. We have a bearded dragon and regularly pick up live insects for her at this PetSmart. The company also has a good rewards program for regular shoppers. Highly recommended.

In and out without a lineup on the day and time that I went there... The friendly staff member went and got me the merchandise I requested from the back quickly... Other staff members smiled and said hi as whizzed passed them. The cashier was friendly and efficient... Disappointed to have to write this review. My personal experience with staff in the retail section of PetSmart has been exceptional. Grooming, not so much. I had made an appointment for my dog for June 1, 2020. I made this appointment 4 weeks in advance. As the date rolled around, I was informed that my dog's appointment had been cancelled. I did not cancel this appointment, nor did I receive a call from PetSmart explaining to me that his appointment was cancelled. Although I was upset I decided to re-book with them given the current COVID-19 circumstances. His appointment finally came (after 3 weeks of the original cancellation) and he was cancelled AGAIN. This poor dog is covered in matts despite our daily brushings. The groomer I was dealing with was professional, I know this is not her fault, and I thank her for her profuse apologies. The manager offered me another appointment on July 7 which I declined. I will be finding a new groomer.

NEVER BUY FISH AT THIS STORE!! Had my tank running for 10 months without any problems!!! Buy one fish from this location and the women there puts just enough water to cover the fish and that’s it!! We get home next day the fish dies. So we bring it back and get another one since things can happen. Within a week my whole 55 gallon tank is infected with a bacterial infection!! So upset paid tons of money and spent numerous hours on this tank!!! My shark fish is now acting funny and the treatment isn’t working on them :(

First time at this Petsmart location. Everyone is very welcoming. We visited Alicia at the grooming salon and she is fantastic!! She's so detail oriented which I was glad to see, being such a detail oriented person myself. My experience from start to finish was nothing short if amazing. Alicia takes great pride in her work and it shows. We have found our groomer for life!! Thank you Alicia for all that you do.

Do yourself a favor - go elsewhere if you can. This use to be a great store. The past 3 -4ish years it's gone downhill with issues too numerous to mention. They range from very bad advice (telling people to feed kitten food to a grown cat) to spoilt food, cans with popped lids, ordering online with shipments that looks like a drunken monkey packaged the items - to items never in stock - to poor employees and employees that lie - just bad. I absolutely dread going there. If it wasn't for the one item I need that I can only get there - I would not go back - ever. That time will come, and I'm looking forward to no longer giving them any business. With 6 animals - you can imagine I spend a pretty penny. That money been slowly going elsewhere - and will continue. I believe in protesting with my cash. Clean up your act Petsmart - and clean up this store.

Went there to see their fishes and the lady told us that she can’t sell us more fish as we only have a 20gallon tank. Most of our fishes are neon fishes that are really really tiny and we only had 8 of those. We are planning to add 6 more or buy another tank. Just decided to leave the store for the poor assistance and bad customer service here. So sad, that we were just at pet smart st catharines and all the people there were very very nice.

Made the mistake of using Authority, PetSmart store specific brand of dog food, and now half the time I go to the store they are sold out and it's a wild goose chase to find a store with it in stock.

We were just at Petsmart looking for a change in our puppy food. So many brands and unsure we asked or assistance. I wish I would have gotten her name. She was a dog trainer previously. She answered our questions and gave us a recommendation. We were very happy with her help. She put my mind at ease and we are very grateful to her. I hope she knows how much she was appreciated.

Staff are incredibly knowledgeable and always helpful. Friendly greeting and customer recognition are amazing retention tricks and the staff at Petsmart have nailed it.
