Can not say enough good about this place or the vet and staff in it. My pitbull injured her leg a few weeks back and the medical service he received was amazing,we live very far from are vet and had to drive during a snow storm to get him there, they made him their first priority when we got there,they had 2 very nice assist help carry him in and due to covid I couldn't go in but the vet kept me updated on everything she was doing or planned to do.They checked in on him the next day by phone,then 5 days they called again. When I had concerns or questions they were right there to assist. I love the fact that they don't judge pitbulls, 1 girl working there has 5 of them herself and she understands how these babies have a bad reputation but they never discriminate breed. Very welcoming place with great compassionate people.

Have had my little guy in to Kannon so many times in the last few months they know him well. They always treat him so nice that he actually looks forward to going! yep gets out of the car and pulls me up to their door. Great friendly staff and the vet is very well spoken and informs you of everything. Very clean and looks better than some restaurants. I would totally recommend them.

Well either they are amazing at there job or they don't give a damn because we had a cat that was very sick so we called then and had to pay 80$ just to bring her in and then when we brought her in she held her and then they said she had to be put down just from feeling her they could tell she was anemic so they killed my cat and charged us 300$ extra $ for the juice to put it down thanks for killing my cat kannon

In my view, this is the best veterinary hospital in Saint John. I bring all three of my fur-babies there for optimal care. Dr. Gehrig explains everything and shows a type of genuine compassion not truly seen in any other animal hospital in Saint John. The fees are more than fair for the services provided. They will not push for unnecessary treatments to line their pockets. Full service with compassion to the pet parent as well. So glad I found them.

I was calling around looking for Vets taking new patients when I stumbled across Kannon. I had the pleasure of speaking with Amber over the phone, she advised unfortunately they were not taking new patients. This really wasn't a big deal. But what was a big deal, was Amber spent 10 minutes on the phone with me answering in full detail and with options any question I had. To be 100% honest, after this interaction any Vet I end up taking my 2 kittens to will have a lot to live up to. I was so thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and kindness Amber showed. They are not avian vets, but they always make sure to do their best to look after birds since most vets in SJ don't accept anything but dogs and cats! I took 2 birds and a rat there over the last year and I've always gotten in in less than 2 days, I have no complaints! Keep up the good work!

Her new place helps is in a great location, the hours are great, and most of all she really cares for animals. This is the best veterinarian hospital I have ever been to! The staff are all extremely knowledgeable, kind and honest. I had wasted so much money at other vets trying to diagnose an eye issue and within our first visit at Kannon, they had identified the issue. Their prices are beyond reasonable and they do not try to "push" you to buy unnecessary stuff! If you have the opportunity to get in with this animal hospital, I highly recommend it!

The first time that I had a problem was after I took my cat in to be spayed, she ended up with an infection. (no this was not the vets fault) but when I asked for a cone I was treated like an idiot because it wasn't something they had advised.. Recently my cats had contracted worms from eating their flees when the revolution had worn out.They gave me Brevecto ( which hasn't even been on the market for a year. ) I have four cats so it was a bit pricey, but they assured me this would solve the problem. The first time they told us that we would only need to buy the flee medication and it would eventually clean up the worms.The second time they told us that we needed to wait a set amount of time after treating them once to give them the worm medication.The third time they told us that they needed several treatments before the worm medication should even of been administrated.. I was told the brevecto would last for up to three months, but then was told that it was only up to a month. Now after about $253 on flee medication and about $40 on worm medication they told me that I would just have to retreat and that there must of been some miscommunication.. this is not how you run a business.. Transferred my records over yesterday and took my cat over today.. will never be returning to kannon again.

The absolute BEST vet in the city for cats and dogs, hands down, but if you have rats, mice and other small animals, this is not the place, their knowledge isn't kept up to date and tbey do not run tests at all, if you have a cat or a dog, this is the hospital for you, but if you have a small cages animal, please look elsewhere.

The entire staff at kanon animal hospital is outstanding. We typically go to Dr Gehrig as we feel extremely confident in her ability and judgment. She has neutered both of my dogs as well as my cat, she also performed a surgery to correct entropion in my Doberman. The entropion surgery (performed on the lower eyelid area) left him with no detectable scar! She has extensive knowledge about sphynx cats, which many veterinarians aren't as familiar with. A point I feel is important to note is that they are the only vets office that I have encountered that has said my animal doesn't need to come in and to just monitor them for ____ and call if something worsens. That really makes you feel like they care about what's best for your animals, not just what's best for their business financially. Even when we lived in Fredericton, we still drove to kanon because they are trusted, knowledgeable and incredible at their job.

Love Kannon, the staff are amazing,! Absolutely love the app, so nice to see pics and updates when your pets are being cared for!!
