Seriously I have met a lot of vets in my 30 years of animal companionship and now the total count of vets truly concerned with animal welfare and the reality of what a person can afford is THREE. This clinic provides exceptional health care for cats and dogs and is, in my experience, a much better choice for pets than some animal clinics in the area that specialize in farm animals. Prompt, friendly and sensitive service at the front desk is a big plus. Short waiting time.

Way too expensive. Also charge $50 to get a phone call from the on call doctor. If they feel you should bring your animal in, its $200 for them to just look at your animal. That's not including any testing or medication.

Wouldn't help me when my dog was bleeding profusely on a Saturday after cutting himself on the trail. Ended up having to drive over 2 hours and have part of his foot removed at another clinic. Not very nice. (Used the pandemic as the reason they couldn't help us, since we weren't regular clients there... They must know something I don't about the risk of getting covid from pets).

Drs McKibbin, Murray and Harris are simply the best. From the time I was in elementary school to today (in my 40’s) we have taken our babies to this clinic for care. Dr McKibbin holds an extra-special place in our hearts as she’s been with us many times when the time came to say goodbye to our little furry family members. I have had to take my pups/rabbit to other vets in the area for vet-on-call appointments, and although they’ve always been very kind and caring also, we keep returning to OS Vet in Rockford. They really make a great team!

We took our new puppy here. They will not allow people in the building despite having a large waiting area that could be converted to allow social distancing when one client enters at a time. The tech took my puppy from me without a leash. When I voiced my concern about this (since a vet clinic in the area recently lost a dog and they are right on the highway) she replied she had a hold of him. I was not impressed and this caused me anxiety. I then had to sit in my car for an hour with it running because it was too cold outside to turn it off. I will not be taking my cat here because it will cause him too much stress and me too much anxiety. He has been going here for 10 years and always had an okay experience. However, how they are handling things with COVID was a terrible experience. I wish they would consider accommodating their space like every other business has in the area.

My Golden Retriever had a stroke plus had vertigo! The clinic was awesome to deal with . Very understanding when Tobey couldn't walk. I did massage on his spine and legs !
