They have been looking after my pets for years. They were there for the loss and help with my newest arrival. When they spayed her, someone took the time to clip the hair out of her eyes. She's a Shih Tzu, I take her to the groomers because I can't get near her eyes. So thank you so much. Just great care.

I will never visit another veterinarian ever. This is the best veterinary clinic, by far, in Ontario. And since I haven't done any owning a pet in any other province. I cant say they're the best in Canada. But they're pretty darn close! Definitely a clinic that is in it for the animals and not the money.

We have been with them for probably close to 10 yrs, if not more. Most recently with a new momma in distress. I can't remember her name. But she met us(Miss D and her 11, yes11 puppy's) at the clinic, It was a bit of a drive and it and it was also 2am ! Now that's what I call excellent care. She gave our Miss D a shot and a prescription for more. Gave the litter a quick check and sent us home feeling much better about the whole situation. We couldn't imagine better care and concern.

Dr. Madeleine Consentino has my highest reccommendation. The techs and support staff have outstanding customer service and are very knowledgeable and helpful. Every vetrinarian I have dealt with there has exceeded my expectations. I have only been going there since 2019 COVID, so I have never been inside yet, but I presume the service is just as good, if not better and the facility is clean and prestine. They are also decently priced. Great place for my kitties care.

New to the area and the Mildmay Clinic was recommended by a local grooming service. We have a 12+ yr old Rotti-X who needed a long overdue checkup. Mildmay got her looked at in One Day. With the Covid-19 issues the whole team was very professional and caring. Our beloved family pet was thoroughly checked out and received the attention she deserved. Without a doubt the Mildmay Clinic would have gotten 10 stars if it were possible. They will be highly recommended to anyone that asks. Enough praises can not be stated. They care for every animal they see and take their time to ensure no detail is missed. Great job.

We started dealing with mildmay vet about 6 yrs ago. My collie/Sheppard C.J. was 12 yrs old and her health started going down hill very quickly. I took her in and they did a very good check up and found a sist on her stomach. I had never seen it myself because she never would let anyone touch her belly. After the tests they diagnosed her with cancer and explained the only thing that could be done was chemo in guelph and it was no guarantee and very expensive. The only other option was meds which would hopefully keep her comfortable. Aftet a couple days she had gotten worse and would not eat her food. I was cooking her venison steaks and ground burger which she would eat a little bit of, but not enough. After a week I had to make the hard decision to have her put down. The staff was very compassionate and caring when we had this done. We had her cremated and a staff member even called the next day to see how I was doing. We now have a 7 yr old yorkie who was taking seizures. The doctor and staff dropped what they were doing right away when we rushed her in. They got her out of the seizure and got her on a daily med which has stopped the seizures for the 3 yrs or so. They are very caring and compassionate and are always there to answer any questions no matter how long it takes. I defiantly recommend them to everybody looking for a vet clinic.

After our dog was diagnosed with pyometra, we got several quotes for the pyospay surgery. Mildmay gave us a quote for a low cost and a high cost. We chose Mildmay as they were significantly better in price and in our budget. Time is of the essence with this illness, and unfortunately we were delayed in getting her there based on their availability. When we showed up for the appointment prior to surgery, the quote changed significantly. Now it is not within our budget. We are forced to put our dog down. Such a horrible dishonest way to run a practice. Shame on you.

Recently had the experience of losing our beloved baby Riley. Have been using this place for 11 years. First off when our dog was in distress on Frriday am, I immediately called the vet at 8am, only to be told that I can't bring dog in till 1. Receptionist was very rude, abrubt & uncaring. When I went & seen the vet the dog was given 2 needles, pills, & medicine. To no avail. He passed away at 5:30 on Sat morn. My husband took our baby to vet at 9 Sat to have him cremated.Went in today to pay my bill, and it was as if nothing took place. In my opinion, now that I look back over the years of using their services, it was always about the money. Running business only to make a fast buck. No compassion whatsoever. I am very disappointed & will never use their services again.

Not very impressed with the service, my family has been going there for years and didn’t have very much issue, so we started taking our Dog there. Have had numerous appointments for issues with our dog, with very little answer. I understand that it’s not always easy to diagnose issues that may be occurring but when we’re told that they couldnt get a clear x Ray of the issue and that we’d have to pay to get another set of x rays done that doesn’t seem very fair and professional. We have also had issues with vets telling us that we should not use a choke chain on our American Bulldog as it “crushes” the windpipe. I understand it’s not the most conventional way but there are not a lot of options out there to control a dog of his size and strength that are effective. We were recommended to use the Haltie by Dr Eva instead of a choke chain which a family member of mine has used and has not had any luck with. We will be looking for a new spot to take our Dog for his vet appointments from this point further. There is definitely some very good staff there but we seem to be getting stuck with bad ones every appointment so we’ll be carrying on.

Generally a great place for your pets, but individual vets vary greatly in the services they perform. Originally 4 stars because of the inconsistency. Otherwise a caring place for your cherished little family members. Lowering my rating as they continuously want me to drug my dog before visiting. While he is nervous being there he has never been anymore aggressive than to nose away your hand. Someone working with animals should be prepared for nervous animals and know how to deal with them without asking the owner to medicate. I also fail to understand how to fully investigate an ailment if the medication is masking the symptoms???

We have been going here for years with six pets, they are now changing their ways! Prices are going up! Trying to talk over your head and putting fear in you. They will ask you if they have your permission to do "tests" .. then if you deny they say they can't help .. then they make you feel like a bad pet owner. Then if you deny the tests the threats begin that may have to call the "authorities "..!! Going to another vet! Nice job guys .. loosing business by the day!

Disappointed that miss after a week of initially having Maverick checked out he had to be sedated again to have a drain and stitches done because of a big gapping hole that was infected on the inside by the hock of his other leg. Maverick doesn't do well with sedation. Other than that happy with the care that Maverick and us recieved. All is good now!

This vet clinic diagnosed my dog with Lymphoma cancer and gave her best case 4 - 6 weeks with prednisone or i had to start taking her to Southampton and Guelph for cancer treatment; since she's 11 we made the very hard decision to go with prednisone. She's been on this heavy medication for over 2 years now. Since i live 30 min drive away I've been getting the medication slip transferred to at a local vet, but i have to pay Mildmay every time to get this transferred. They keep telling me to keep her on this medication. Today they told me i have to bring her in and pay again for an examination just to get the same medication. She has 3 days worth of medication, stuff you can't just stop taking. They won't give me her medication unless i pay for another examination which i would have to take work off to do. I requested they give me 1 weeks worth of medication so i can get her into another vet clinic and examined to get the same medication they have been providing for over 2 years. This vet clinic is terrible. My experience with this vet clinic has been terrible.

So I reliaze that the GB has never been a great option for services, and I know with COVID things are different so please dont go on about it. But this is the 4th time Mildmay vet clinic receptionist has turned down seeing my animals and I have been a long time client. I was literally told with our dog that they will not fix her until she is 1 (ok cool), but then go on to tell me that the prices are going up, so is it just the wellbeing or is it the revenue as well? Today I was told, eventhough I am a client to look somewhere else near port elgin. Noone is taking patients, and I wouldnt be taking an animal to the vet now unless there was a good reason. I am tired of the lack of support provided in this area, seem to be great at saying no and washing their hands of it. Thanks Mildmay Vet, overpriced and useless.

I would not recommend Mildmay Veterinarian Clinic We had our dog there for surgery and he made it through the worst part of it but as they were stitching him up his heart stopped he was only 3.5 years old they pretty much killed our dog he was having his right eye removed because of a very bad ulser

I brought in my sick cat for an emergency visit. They prescribed some antibiotics and said that he would be just fine in a couple of days. He died in my arms the next day. The vet said he had clear lungs despite my wife and I easily hearing the congestion by putting an ear to his side. They said his symptoms were minor despite all other sources describing them as very severe. My cat should have been kept over night but the staff just didn't want to take him in. Take your pets elsewhere if there is a serious problem. The vet we saw with was either untrained to the point of unbelievability or just couldn't be bothered to spend the time needed to provide proper treatment. This clinic is trash and your pets life is reliant on the whims of people who would rather not be there.

My family recently had a scare with our 13 year old dog Scooter. Throughout the difficult decisions, surgery, and nights spent worrying about our pup, the staff was supportive, kind and very informative. Dr. Catherine and other members of the team went out of their way to comfort us, and our Scooter. They were thorough and very caring, as they called us multiple times to give us updates on how he was doing. The staff took the time to make sure our little guy was happy, healthy and safe. We are so glad to say Scooter is home and back to himself! Thank you so much everyone!
