DESCRIPTION

We've got the information of real people like you who purchased the products of Wag Hotels (Veterinarian) near Moose Factory (Canada).

Currently the business gets a rating of 4.6 out of 5 and the rating was based on 127 reviews.

You must have seen that the average score it has is nearly the top, and it's based on a very large number of opinions, so we may think that the score is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they are pleased with the service, is that it works.

As you know, we don't usually bother to place feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

Very convenient for boarding dogs. The dogs seem happy to be here and are happy when picked up. You can also get a full range of services from them too.

I am the owner of a young puppy named Penny. She is only 4 1/2 months old. I have read that dog parks are not the best place to socialize pups because you never really know the temperment of other dogs, so we had never taken her out. Our pup had been around my cousin's dog, a big black lab, and my sister's dogs, two schnauzers. Since Penny was fine around these dogs, we felt comfortable leaving her at Wag Hotel when we went out of town and couldn't take her with us. I love that they have cameras place in the play room, so when I miss my pup I can look and see her. They took great care of her.

You know the term "puppy love"? I finally found it. Walk into Wag in West SAC, and it's there. It's a plush, comfy spot for your pups. All the fun treats, and toys, beds, and gear you could ever think of. The staff, and I mean all the staff, are kind animal lovers that have made us feel welcome everytime we arrive, as if each time was the first time. Our dog loves going there and getting tons of attention both human and canine. The have gone to puppy social, which is FREE, on Saturdays. We've also used their trainers, day boarding and overnight boarding. Have not been disappointed yet.

All day play is walking around a person wiping up the floor. I watched the web cam and it does not appear they interact with the dogs much. My dog is sneezing and does not seem well. She was boarded from Wednesday to Sunday. I am concerned. Update: vet prescribed antibiotics. Rice and chicken diet for the diarrhea. My poor puppy. She is feeling better now.

Took our two babies to get them “officially groomed”! See before and after photos. Wag Hotels absolutely delivered! Very nice facility (Sacramento). We could not be more pleased with the outcome of their grooming sessions. They are very reasonably priced. You can tell the staff love doing their job!! We have found our fur-ever groomers!

We love Wag! I have been bringing both my dogs (one being a puppy) to Wag for all day play and boarding. The level of care and commitment is outstanding! The communication is also top notch. Whenever I have a question, they return my email within minutes. Truly fantastic service. Our dogs love Wag too! We can tell by their happy demeanor via the nest cam, during all day play. Though the prices are quite high, I believe the services are well worth it. We will continue to bring our dogs for many years to come!

We love Wag and they do a great job caring for our two boys when we go on vacation. We've used this location for their puppy socials when we got our 2nd dog, for the Everyday Dog training, grooming, and of course boarding. Our boys love it here and we feel confident they're well cared for. We took a tour years ago when they opened and the facilities were clean and well maintained. We've never had an issue and will continue to bring our furry loves here.

I have used Wags for grooming for over a year. Breanna is the best!!!!! She's extremely professional, does a fantastic job and pays attention to detail! She is great with my fur babies and we love her!!! They're actually excited about their spa day!!

I was evacuated from my home because of the CZU fire and needed a safe place for my cat. The owner offered free boarding for fire evacuated fur families, which was such a God send. The place was so clean and didn't smell like most kennels do. The staff are friendly and loving towards all their guest. My cat was very well taken care of. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate the help.

I really appreciate the care they give to our maltipoo, Mia! We’ve had Mia over at other dog hotels but no one can meet their level of care and attention to detail. They always answer our calls at odd hours (international travel), send photos, and are super responsive to Mia’s needs. We first tried Wag Hotel in Sac during my last deployment (4-day pass in Dubai). They were incredibly friendly and warm when we’d call. Their cameras and videos worked when we’d check in on Mia—unlike other places we’ve tried in NorCal. Since then, we’ve become regulars! They never fail to meet our expectations. Thank for coming to my TED talk hahaha... this was inspired by them recently sending us detailed notes on Mia. I should’ve wrote this review a long time ago. Warmly from Turks and Caicos, Saamon and Eboni P.S. - do ensure your doggo or pupper has daily play and one-on-one walks or play time. It’s worth the extra!

My husband and I were looking for a safe place to board our dog while we were out of town. We were always really concerned with boarding him, as he does not do well with hyper dogs. We found Wag Hotels online and decided to go check it out. They gave us a tour and worked with how our dogs temperament was. They invited our dog to do a trial day. We took him this last Saturday. When we picked him up, they told us our stay had been comped and he did a great job. He made a friend and loved Wagkiki Beach. Everyone there is very friendly and very much animal people. My husband and I no longer feel unsure about boarding our dog and will board our dog there here on out. Highly recommend!

Natalie at the front desk of the Wag Hotel was great. She was kind, receptive, and professional. Would definitely recommend bringing your dog here for doggy daycare or boarding.

Extremely disappointed in my interaction with customer service. I had a confirmation email for my dog to be boarded and called customer service just to be 100% sure. I’m so glad I made the call, because they had no record of my reservation despite going through the wag hotel app and receiving a confirmation email. The woman on the phone was very short, sounded as if she were driving in a car and rudely stated to me that my dog could not stay at the facility without engaging in group play. I told her he is anxious and I prefer to have him not participate in group activities. I even offered to pay the extra $45 fee for the “specialized plan” so my pup could have one on one attention. She let me know they do not have availability for the specialized plan (though it is offered as an option when making a reservation through the app). The call ended with this woman condescendingly telling me I should book dog boarding reservations with wag hotels a month in advance. Super rude. Super misleading advertising for accommodations. I’m disappointed in the way they handled my request. I’ll be looking elsewhere.

Brianna @ WAG in West Sacramento has been grooming Kimmy for almost over a year since she was a puppy. Always professional, I’m amazed she got this monster to sit still long enough for a cut. I’d highly recommend WAG as an option for grooming.

I send my dog (85lb, German shepherd female) to daycare here when I have to go into the office. She gets her excited whines when we pull up to the building lol. They have a variety of options for daycare: all day play, 12 hr day stay with 2 1-hour play groups, or 1 on 1 play with a handler to keep the pup active. All day play cameras are on after 10AM so you can watch your dog play and interact online from their website. I've also boarded my dog here for 4 nights when I went to a wedding out of town. The room I got her was $85 a night, came with a 24-hr webcam so I could check on her in her room at any time, 2 feedings a day per my instructions, morning and evening walks, 2 1-hour play sessions in the play groups, and a peanut butter Kong snack. My dog loves it here, prices are reasonable, & buy the prepay daycare bundles to save a little money.

I have been a customer of the Wag for years. I take both my dogs to all day play and board them at the Wag occasionally. The staff is exceptional and they know my dogs by name. I feel very safe with my dogs at the Wag and I know that they will always be treated like royalty. I have also purchased grooming and have bought the upgrades you can get when they stay over night like a special bed, extra walks, special meals. My dogs love this place!!

I love WAGS and so do my pups! They are always nice and tuckered out when they get home, which tells me they had a great time! The staff is nice and truly love their clients.

Mari Haro-Kolosov

This is the only boarding location for our pup. He is always safe and cared for here. The facility is clean and staff is friendly. We have boarded our pup in a camera and non-camera room. I have been happy with both. Our pup does not enjoy all-day play. The staff recognized this fact, and communicated with us about it while we were in Maui. I appreciate their attentiveness during each of his stays. We have also utilized the grooming services for our pup. He is an Alaskan Husky and looked fabulous and happy upon pick up! ????

Our dog had been to all day play at the Sacramento location a few times, and the last time we went I was told about an incident. My dog came home with a huge scratch on his face. The staff were very kind about the whole thing and told me that he just got a little rowdy, but that he wasn't being aggressive and that no other dogs got hurt. (Which was my primary concern.) They told me his day was great otherwise; I thanked them and went home, but got a call from the manager the next day saying that our dog was not allowed to be in all day play anymore. No other dogs were injured, just ours. The incident began off-camera. Their reasoning is that he "wasn't backing down" after the incident. (The incident where no other dogs got hurt and he had a bloody face, and was hurt.) He has been in four different daycares in the last two years (since he was a puppy) and had never had an incident. Never gotten an injury, never injured any other dogs, never been in time out. He has been to plenty of dog parks, sometimes he needs redirection, but has never displayed any dominant/aggressive or otherwise concerning behaviors. My partner works as an behavior specialist in an animal shelter and used to work in the dog daycare business, mind you, so he knows what he's doing and knows what red flags to look for. So we were confused. I didn't say much on the phone, but we emailed back to get some clarification. They didn't answer any of our questions (was the other dog who hurt our dog also removed from all day play? This happened two hours before I picked him up, where was he for the last two hours? The manager said that since our dog was near the door when the incident happened, he must not have been having a good time in daycare... Why didn't they call beforehand if there was a concern? Why do all of his report cards, including the one from that day, say he was high energy and had a great day the whole time? Including pictures and names of dogs he got along with? Why did the staff tell me he wasn't being aggressive and that it wasn't a big deal?) The manager I spoke to mentioned he could come back for one on one care, which involves twelve hours of being in a kennel with two short play sessions. Our dog would be happier, have more interactions, and be let out more often at home than this, even with all four of us in the house working full time. Anyway they stopped replying to our emails, we won't be coming back or recommending this location to anyone. I really don't like leaving negative reviews, but I'm appalled at how my family/dog were treated here. I'll include a photo of the scratch by his eye, taken a few days after it happened, already healing up.

The Wag locked my pup in a crate for hours until he pissed himself. Very cruel, don’t fall for their marketing. Would give 0 stars if possible!

Mark N

They took great care of our dog Lily, very friendly and it was great to see her live on camera when we were away.

F/U: After four months of frustration with the operations manager, the general manager, Charlotte Worrell, reached out and made good regarding the injury to my pup. I'm revising my initial review as I do believe that she will put measures in place to avoid this type of occurrence moving forward . This supports good business practice by taking care of their customer base. If all aspects of their business were as conscientious regarding their customer care, Wag Hotel could potentially be a top facility for the Sacramento area. I was excited to try this venue, new to me, and I took my two dogs for grooming. I was happy with one of my two dogs cuts, my second fur kid was marginal and has been a horrible experience. The first problem I noticed was that my pups private area was "nicked" and she was in pain and miserable for a week, needing pain relief salve daily. I was told that the groomer was "new". I wasn't aware that I needed to request an experienced groomer! Three weeks later I discover that my pup has ear infections in both ears! First time ever in eight years. This seems much too coincidental in conjunction with her grooming. I cannot recommend Wag Hotels.

I've taken my dog to Wag for both boarding and all day play a couple of times each since relocating to Sac. My dog seems to have a good time at both -- and he's always exhausted after his visit. I've also gotta mention that he's pretty vocal and kind of extra in general, and they seem generally unphased by that, which I appreciate! I'm knocking a star off because we've had an issue with an upcoming reservation. The reservation was made over the phone, for about a week after a couple my dog's vaccines are due to expire. He's scheduled for a vet appointment the day they expire, so he should be all set for when the actual boarding date rolls around. I let the person I spoke with when I made the reservation know I'd send along updated records when I had them, and she said that was fine. So, imagine my surprise when I received an email a couple days later (again while the vaccines are still active) that the reservation "couldn't be approved" due to expired vaccines. This seems like a weird quirk for a dog boarding facility to have, since I can't imagine I'm the only one who's attempted to make a reservation close to the end of a vaccine efficacy window.

My puppy absolutely loved the hotel. She got pretty homesick but loved playing with all the dogs everyday. They sent us daily notices on how she was doing and the facility looked very clean. I would definitely recommend sending your dog here while on vacation.

Jon Ruiz

Love this place! Our dog has stayed a few times overnight. She always seems happy and excited to be there. Some dogs actually seem sad to leave after staying. The faculty are extremely pleasant. Clean facility.

Sue Bailey

The wag staff is always friendly and professional. They really care about the animals. My dog is happy when I drop her off and tired and happy when I return. They have a nice array of extras that customize the boarding experience. I never worry about my dog when she is in wags care. I highly reccomend wag for boarding and all day play!

Warning... RUN! DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! This is a horrible establishment. I'm honestly shocked that they are still able to operate seeing as how they mistreat dogs and aren't kind to owners. They were rude to me while bringing my PUPPY to puppy play. Their training program is pretty much a joke. Check out Albree dog training instead! We left a true Yelp review stating what we experienced. The owner called me, gave me attitude, and literally said, "so there's NOTHING I can do to make you delete your review?" Are you serious? How about; what are you going to do FOR ME since you mistreated my puppy and me?! Check out their Yelp too - there are horrifying accounts of dogs not being let out to pee, not being taken out on walks that customers PAY for, and not getting play time. Do not board your dog here, you will regret it.

Most establishments when you enter you get welcome in can I help you. I didn’t get that at this facility. I went to this facility to check it out and to get my dog groomed and to see about boarding her there for a week. When I walked in, first of all they looked at me like they had never seen a black person before and why was I there? I stood there for awhile even before I was even acknowledged. Cold and not very helpful never offered me a tour of the facility just kept telling me what they don’t do. The website is not user friendly either, nice facility not very nice people to bad. If I could I’d give them 0. Sacramento location!

My little Whiskey loves Wag! We moved from SoCal and were looking for a place to board him which can be very difficult because a lot of places seem like they don’t really care about your pup and they are just number. A friend of mine recommended Wag and we couldn’t be happier. Whiskey gets super excited when we drive up to Wag and is so happy (and tired:)when we pick him up. He has never seemed so happy at any of the other 6 boarding places we took him to. The staff is super friendly and attentive to all his needs. They are very responsible and will call immediately if they have any questions or concerns. Highly recommend Wag Hotel!!

Before I sent my little dog knopa she was in very bad condition overweight, heart disease, and hard to breath. She also wasn’t allowed to go upstairs but she did so anyways. After her stay she was a completely different dog. She became more social, easy for her to breath, not over weight, and she is well behaved now. Overall best doggy daycare and great staff.

Had a tour of the facility on Sunday morning and was thoroughly impressed! I brought my quarantine puppy (10 months old) for daycare from 9am - 9pm on Tuesday and it was free! Your pet's first stay is free. Pick up and drop off was a breeze. I will definitely return! The person who brought my dog out said she was timid during play groups but my dog has never really been socialized so I plan to bring her here at least once or twice a month to meet other dogs :)

Highly recommend!!!! My husband and I recently had our dog groomed at Wags. What a wonderful place. When we walked in there was a board with the names of first time visitors and Finch, our dog, was on the list???? We told the groomer, Mickey, that Finch had only been professionally clipped once before (we weren’t very pleased with that result). She told us since it was Finch’s first time with that she wanted to take her time with Finch and get to know her better before she started groomIng her. That made us feel good to know she cared enough to make Finch less anxious. They gave us a courtesy call and let us know that Mickey would need more time since she hadn’t realized Finch’s coat was so dense. They also called us and let us know Finch was ready for pickup. When Mickey brought Finch to us, she was gorgeous! Mickey did a fantastic job on her coat, ears, tail and nails. We could tell she took her time and job seriously. And Finch did not seem stressed out at all from her experience. We will definitely use Mickey at Wags again. Top notch and less expensive than the previous groomer we used. Everyone at Wags was just great!

I love taking my animals to Wag! They are very knowledgeable and friendly. I love getting the report cards about how my dog was during his stay. Both of my current dogs attended the puppy social classes and they are now both social and frequently go to the dog park where they have a blast. I appreciate all of the options there are for when our dogs have to be boarded. I have peace of mind that the dogs will be well cared for and it helps me feel better about having to leave them while I am away. I highly recommend Wag for other people's pets!

Jane Theuer

I have been taking my dog Bella here for the past two years. I wouldn’t trust any place else. She has always been very well cared for and she has a blast. She does well in both “All Day Play” and the two-hour play sessions. I love the flexibility that this place provides, allowing me to choose all day play one day followed by a two hour play session the next day, etc. I also love the fact that you can pick up and drop off 24 hours a day and the fact that someone is there 24 hrs (very few places offer this). The staff is very experienced, calm, and passionate about what they do. We live in Roseville and often drop her off on our way to the airport. It’s a quick 7 min detour to West Sac so we just have to allocate an extra 15 minutes to our trip and it works great. The check-in process is very efficient as well. I have tried boarding her in several places near Roseville but have just not been happy. The safety of my dog is #1. With Wag Pet Hotel, I always have the confidence in knowing that she’s safe and happy.

Melissa Mitchell

My dog LOVES The Wag! He gets so excited when he figures out where we're going and even crazier when we arrive. The facility is super clean, the workers are awesome and the groomers do a wonderful job. When I pick up my pooch, he is exhausted after All Day Play. I've also boarded him there for a couple of nights and it was a smooth process. I definitely recommend The Wag Hotel. My dog gives it four paws up.

Elaine K

Still waiting for a call back from Wags regarding my dog's daycare visit on Thursday; today is Tuesday. My dog had diarrhea, but do not yet know the cause. I wanted to know if they served my dog the food I brought in or their own. That will help determine the cause of the diarrhea. So far, I am out $500.00 in vet bills; primarily because Wags won't return my call.

Mike McGrew

We pay a lot of money to have camera access to our puppy. Unfortunately the cameras don't work more than 60% of the time. We have tried to call to find out if our puppy is ok and have had little luck getting ahold of anyone. We are very disappointed and will be seeking answers. Update....we did speak with their staff and they were very helpful and have offered an alternative room to rectify the camera situation.

Marilyn Ferguson

I have been taking my dog to The Wag for years and would not take him anywhere else. They are so organized and have a menu of options for your dog while he/she is there. The handlers are great and my dog has been treated very well. I love their All Day Play as opposed to just having one's dog in a kennel 24/7. I can relax when I am on vacation knowing he is safe and sound and having fun as well.

Kathy Stephens

I took my pup in for grooming, first time at Wags. I'm very pleased. His fan club thinks he looks amazing and he seemed very relaxed and ok with his experience.

Christopher McQueer

We love Wag and our dogs do too. They wag their tails when we pull up. I trust this company and they allow you to pickup your pets at any time. They give a complimentary bath when your pets stay over a week. You can watch your dogs on the wag cam during play sessions. They give you a cute little report card about how your pet did. They have an employee monitoring all the dogs during play sessions. It's a solid place. Some of the add-on prices can be a bit weird. It's really strange to pay for someone to spend extra time petting your dog while away...or for bubble time.
