I'm not the brightest at some internet things, so i called the help line and they were incredibly helpful and friendly. Very reassuring that our pet could possibly get the assistance we need (emergencies are never fun!) while being able to pay it over time which is something not many places do. I HIGHLY suggest if you have an emergency and are coming up short on funds to look into this amazing program. Being able to help our cat and not have to sell a kidney right then and there is wonderful.

If you are looking for a company to borrow some money from, make your payments as agreed on the contract and move on, keep looking. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH IFINANCE My experience: in the month of my last payment, they took more money than what they were supposed to from my account. I contacted them and they admitted to a mistake on their side and that I would receive a cheque after 20 business days (I wasn't happy about the 20 business day to return my money, which they should not have taken in the first place, but I let it go). Long story short: it's been 51 days since they took my money (unauthorized), I've had to waste my time in 4 different calls with them, and I still don't have a cheque with what they owe me. Would you want to do business with a company that takes more money than you owe or agreed to, and then lets you wait for more than 51 days to return you that money? (and that is counting on the fact that they will, at some point, actually give me my money back. Because after what I've been through so far I'm not confident about that anymore). Not reliable, not honest company. Just bring your business somewhere you can trust they won't take money from you that don't owe them.

Am only in the "Application" stages of (hopefully) dealing with "iFinance Canada" for some upcoming (pending financing) Dental Procedures. With that being said, I found the "Online Application" process to be very "user friendly" with a rather welcome (and Surprising) option to leave "Special Instructions" and/or leave a request for an expedited decision. Nice to be able to have a spot for personal thoughts and remarks, very rare to an "online application". Well done iFinance Canada with that section. Hoping to deal with iFinance Canada in the very near future (at which time, will update review). Thank You.

Their monthly rates at first glance seem reasonable, but their interest rates are one of the worst I’ve ever seen. On a $6700 loan the interest was over $3000, but because the surgery date was coming up quick and because they claimed there are no fees or penalties for paying off the loan early, we continued with the finance. We were advised to contact this company to finance a medical procedure —not by choice but because they work with the clinic. When our surgery date was canceled by the clinic (due to unforeseen reasons; a death in the family of the surgeon), we were given new date options, and this meant the start date for financing was going to change. In order to change the date you have to basically reapply altogether, and all of this was extremely inconvenient. However, because the surgery date changed to something far enough away that we could afford to pay it ourselves without the need of a loan, we canceled the loan. Despite cancelling several weeks in advance, they still sent us a $410 balance fee, for literally nothing lol. We did not use their services, we did not even begin the finance period at all, yet now we’re expected to pay over $400. This should be waived and I find it disgusting that this company would penny pinch customers who literally never even began the finance and canceled the service. They have told us they will not waive this fee, because they’re vultures. Will absolutely never recommend this company, and will go out of my way to tell people not to use this company. I have many friends who will be consulting with my surgeon for services, and they will not be financing through this company because of our experience.

Less than 1. Promised 0% loan.. ended up at 23%. Given a secondary wrong quote for paying the loan ASAP and trying to be charged additional amounts I've already covered and cleared with a second person there. So apparently 2 people providing SIGNIFICANTLY incorrect information to a person in a vulnerable situation right before and right after surgery. Can't even rest to recover because I am not panicking about money and the loan that is about to ruin my credit. Not to mention every time I called the "message and info left by the employee was never fully conpleted". So I constantly have to be called back or calling back since no one has a straight answer. Try to avoid using this service unless you are too desperate and are willing to suffer more because of horrible service.

If you're not fluent in English you're unable to obtain a loan from them even after being approved. If they feel you aren't fluent they tell you you no longer qualify! This company bases their final decision on your language skills not on credit worthiness, worst experience ever with this discriminatory company.

I tried to co-sign on a loan for my mom. I answered ALL their questions, most of the same questions over and over. I am 21 with not a lot of credit but the credit I do have is good and I make decent money as I work two jobs but that still was not enough. They talked to my employers and that wasn't enough. They took pay stubs and that wasn't enough, you guys just want more and more. I was told to give you guys my bank statements but why were my PAY STUBS AND THE CONFIRMATION FROM MY EMPLOYER NOT ENOUGH!!! I am beyond frustrated with the hoops they try to make you jump though. All I wanted to do was help my mom but you guys make it impossible.

Once I got back to work I was paying my loan as well as a bit of what I had missed every month and they constantly harassed me and keep pulling my credit even when asked to not do it! My Veteinary Clinic uses PetCard for our clinics. Its helped out alot of clients and the approval right it relatively high. We recommend it for major surgeries but we have quite a few clients who also use it for expensive monthly medications. I also really enjoy how fast we get approvals, usually withing the same day, of not within a couple of hours...after approval, the verification system is quick and we get paid by iFinance promptly. Definitely recommend to low income clients!!

Horrible customer service! The person I dealt with by the name of Christine Poirier has absolutely zero customer relationship. Be careful with this company as the moment you apply online for information reasons only! They immediately check your credit and that lowers your credit score. Apparently the moment you sign up for info, they automatically without asking you will check your credit, that’s fraudulent and a breach of privacy. I had no choice but to fully commit on this application since my credit was pulled up. I will be sending a full report investigation on this company to better business bureau and the CRA. A bunch of incompetent liars.

i have been dealing with this company for the last year as my pup needed surgury and this was my only option. All i can say is try everywhere else before you go through this company. Their interest rate is higher than credit cards and you cannot make extra payments or they will charge you a 30.00 fee. And tbeir customer service is zero, rude and smug. They sure take advantage of people in their most vulnerable state

First called to get finance for a beloved family pet who needed emergency surgery. I waited HOURS with a lot of back and forth. Was told I was approved, then wasn't. again a lot of back and forth. HOURS later got the confirmation and by then it was too late and my family pet died on the table even after I stated it was a dire situation and I needed it fast. It took all day to get an answer. Second time. It was for my tooth. I needed an emergency rooy canal. Took over a week to hear anything. Finally 3 days before surgery I get told I needed MORE papers and I was only told this because I had been calling wondering what was going on. So now instead of a root canal I had to have it pulled because as a mother of 3 children I couldn't just drop the 400 on my own at a last minutes notice even after they stated I was approved and good to go.

I will agree that the application process is easy and they were very responsive with me. In fact, they called while I was in the dentist chair and had a frozen mouth... but she wanted my master card number now. I got approved for an amount. What I didn't know (and don't understand) was that I would get a different account for each dental company I visited. The dentist and the Denturist are different companies. I am a senior with no dental insurance. My issue is / was that I was short of cash for emergency dental work. If they had given me one loan - it could have been spread out over a period of 2 - 3 years. But one loan is for $800 and has to be paid in 12 months and the 2nd one is for just over $2000. This really messed me up because - the two payments started before the dental work was finished Plus I was paying the shortfall to cover the amount over $3000. So now I have to wait a month to come up with more money before I can get my teeth. While I am grateful for getting what I did get, a little bit of empathy and understanding would have gone a long way. The person I dealt with the most, demonstrated no desire to help at all and knowing my cash was low, she didn't give me the option of taking the second loan over a longer period of time. Another person did that. I have decided not to post the names of the people I dealt with.

This may be long — warning. Initially I was advised to go to this company by my medical provider for financing. They told me the approval process was fairly simply and quick. I spent the first two weeks waiting for someone to contact me to tell me that I was not approved by myself and that I needed a co-signer. I had to contact them to find out this information. Then I found one who has amazing credit, great income, and had actually used the company prior as a co-signer without any issues. So I used them. From the beginning it was non-stop issues. I provided more information and more information over the course of three weeks (much more than even traditional banking financing requires for a loan). After FINALLY seeming to pacify the company with the information, they said I was approved but for a lot less than what I originally requested. I figured at least they would cover some so I accepted the offer. I was sent a letter of approval for the loan which me and my co-signer signed. The letter of approval did not indicate whatsoever that they could rescind the offer again. Then my medical provider was contacted and told that they were just waiting to receive the signed documents back and would send a confirmation of payment to them. Seemed like it was done. NOT AT ALL. I was called days after the approval letter was signed to say it had gone under yet ANOTHER review by management. That somehow they now needed even more information from my co-signer. At this point it’s been well over a month since I originally applied and had already been sent approval paperwork. So we AGAIN supplied more information. Then it went for another review in which I was told that should be the last bit of information management needed to finalize and sent confirmation of payment. I asked several times if they were sure prior to getting off the phone. They assured me everything was done but they just needed this last thing and then it’ll be for review and confirmation of payment would be sent. A week later my medical provider is calling me telling me that they spoke to the finance company and there were issues. I tried for an entire week. One whole week to contact the finance company. Finally when I got ahold of them at the end of the week I was told I no longer qualified for the loan I had originally been approved for based on new information management had not had for the last month and a half. This company is down right ridiculous. I will make sure I honestly tell anybody and everybody about the experience I had with this company. It was absolutely horrible. I had gone into reviews more than five times. Everything they said was vastly inconsistent — a different thing from each person I spoke to. After asking to speak with management, I got no replies back. While they did tell me that my co applicant had great credit that they could not approve him all of sudden because of him having a seasonal job. Go to a bank for a loan.

I had applied and gotten approved for $7, 500 over a 60 months term, I had asked them to reduce it to 24 months. I had been making my payments on time, every month for 13 months until I lost my job. I asked them to hold the payments for a month or two until I was able to get myself back on my feet. They refused and told me they would still withdraw the money and if it doesn't go through, then too bad, I'd have to pay NSF charges. I called my bank and stopped the payments for 2 months (as I had originally requested Medicard). They started calling and harassing me 2-3 times a day asking me to remove the stop payment immediately. I politely told them each time that I am in between jobs and will pay as soon as I land another one. They accessed my credit file (no problem), saw that I have a car financed under my name and asked me to stop making car payments to pay them. I told them, I will lose my car, how does that make sense? They told me to sell it then (???????). Fast forward to a few weeks later, I found a new job and updated my LinkedIn. Within a few days, they must have been checking my profile, they called me at my office to see if I work there and when I asked them how they got this number or how they knew I worked there, they hung up on me. I called them back and asked to speak to a manager, I landed on the famous Jenny, who threatened me by saying if I don't make payments today, it won't be good for me. Needless to say, they are a horrible company and ridiculous to deal with. I had another year left on my term, so I cashed out my investments to pay them off and get rid of them. At the end of the day, it's their loss. Had they been a little patient, the payments would have resumed and they would have made more money (interest) off of me. Too bad for them.

Terrible. Interest rates are a scam. They are ruthless and won't listen if you have emergencies where you can't pay. They try to constantly restructure their loans for more money. If I could give zero stars I would. Terrible service. Don't get wrapped up with this company or you will be paying more interest in the long term than what your loan is actually worth.
