Staff is friendly but I service is not satisfactory. I ended up spending a lot of money and had had no diagnostic at all, my dog was just pushed to do useless exams and treatments, and after all she still have the same problem and no diagnostic. In a panic, I ran after a new clinic - which was very difficult because - they - they no longer take new clients and to get a place quickly I should have been a client. Si votre animal tombe malade et que sa vie est en danger, ils n’auront pas de place pour vous car ils auront remplis 100% leurs plages horaires avec des vaccins et des ouvertures de dossiers (choix plus rentable pour eux mais dramatique pour l’animal) J’avais ouvert mon dossier avant la COVID, tout allait bien pour les RV de vaccins et de contrôle. Mon chat est tombé très malade et devait être opéré rapidement (dans les 4-5 prochains jours). On m’indique qu’il n’y a aucune dispo avant deux semaines que je devrais aller au DMV (l’opération coute 4000$ de plus!) J’ai appris à ce moment que la clinique ne se gardait aucune plage horaire pour les urgences moyennes. En panique, j’ai couru après une nouvelle clinique - ce qui fut très difficile car - eux - ils ne prennent plus de nouveaux clients et pour avoir une place rapidement j’aurais du être cliente. J’ai heureusement trouvé une clinique qui elle, se conserve des plages horaires vides pour les urgences.

Do not take your pets here. My two year old dog nearly died here due to negligence. My dog had been puking all night and would not eat any food in the morning so I took him in to Dr.Belleville to get looked at. He told me that my dog had a flu and to wait a couple days and it would go away. By the next day my dog was still not eating, not drinking, and was so lethargic he would not respond to his own name, so I took him in again. Dr.Belleville ran a blood test and the test came back showing a high white blood count and low chlorine (sign of dehydration). He sent my dog home and told me to wait a couple more days. I asked him if there could be anything wrong that did not show up on the test and he said NO unless it is a rare disease. This made me very uneasy, it felt like I was watching my dog die, I did not understand how he could send my dog home who was not drinking water and told me to wait. I called two other vets in the area to see if this was common practice. Honestly, I was hoping they would tell me I was crazy and just to listen to the vet, but they had the opposite reaction. Both receptionist told me to get to the emergency clinic right away. They said they could look at the dog the next day but were afraid it may be too late by then. So I took my little guy to the DMV clinic. The vet techs could immediately tell something was really wrong due to my dogs severely low energy level. The vet took a look at him and within three minutes diagnosed that a foreign body was stuck in his small intestine. She could even feel the object (a large clump of hair) while she was examining him. She also let me know that he was extremely dehydrated. They did an ultrasound, and an x-ray that proved her diagnosis was spot on. They gave him I.V. fluids and he was on the operating table two hours later. The vet bill at the emergency clinic ended up costing me $4000. It was 3x more expensive than at a local vet because the surgery took place on off hours (1am). The next day I went back to this clinic to explain my story and was hoping to at least get the money back from the two visits that were of no help. They refused and I was told that my dog wasn't dehydrated and that the foreign object must not have been stuck in him four hours earlier when I had taken him in. I get angry and sad thinking about my story because I fear for other dogs who may not get taken in to the emergency clinic. I understand that dogs can not communicate what is wrong with them, but I felt the vet ignored loud signals that my dog was not okay. My dog did not have a rare disease, he had swallowed something he was not supposed to, something dogs do frequently. TLDR; Went to this vet twice in two days because my dog was puking, not eating, and not drinking. Both times told me it was the flu. Ended up going to the emergency clinic and had an emergency surgery because my dog swallowed a hairball. The surgery cost me $4000 because it had to be done at 1am (3x what it had been if diagnosed and treated when I initially took the dog in). This vet refused to compensate the two useless visits.

Par contre, je trouve que les consultations se déroulent un peu trop rapidement, pas assez d'explications et d'informations sont données, pas assez de questions me sont posées pour véritablement chercher à comprendre le quotidien de l'animal dans le but de s'assurer de la santé de ce dernier. Tarifs très élevés, ils facturent tous les actes dans les moindres détails alors qu'ailleurs, ce n'est pas toujours le cas. Par exemple, lors de mon deuxième rendez-vous à cette clinique, (pour faire le suivi d'un problème oculaire de mon chien), afin de pouvoir l'acheter en pharmacie, j'avais demandé la prescription écrite du médicament car ils vendent les produits deux fois plus chers que le coût réel.Le vétérinaire m'a donc chargé un montant d'environ 10$ pour m'écrire la prescription alors qu'il savait déjà avant ma visite, quel médicament mon chien devait prendre et ce, même si j'avais déjà payé pour la consultation, la première dose de ce médicament et les tests qu'il a fait à mon chien. Bref, je n'aurais aucun problème à y retourner en cas de force majeur mais disons que je suis beaucoup plus satisfait avec l'autre vétérinaire que j'ai trouvé dans mon quartier dans Villeray. J'hésitais entre 2 ou 3 étoiles. Si j'ai opté pour 2, c'est parce que ma dernière visite surfacturée m'a laissée un goût amère.
