The vet (older woman) is dishonest, and does not give the best advise for your pet, but rather for her pocket. The young ladies at reception are nice, however, the vet herself is what i would consider unfair, dishonest, and simply there to rack up your bill. My dog broke his nail (the top one). I took him in to have them cut it really I am unable to do that. Next thing I know, it will cost me $350+ tax!!! Thank goodness I asked how much it would cost. 62.50+tax for the examining the dog, what exam, she looked at the nail and said it's broken!! Are you kidding me? She then informed me that I had to pay for her 5 years of study!!! She literally looked at the nail, 2 seconds. Finally, I just walked out. She does not really care about pets, the next vet asked that I just make sure I keep it clean and that withing a few days it will fall off. This vet was ready to put my dog to sleep, then give him more meds to wake him. What a charlatan.

I brought my 7 year old dog to get her teeth cleaned on a Monday morning at 9:30am, only got to pick her up at 6:30pm. They told me that they irritated her esophagus and she would have a cough till about Friday. Well, my dog ended up coughing all night and found her dead at 6am...so I automatically rushed her to the nearest 24h emergency vet, but it was unfortunately too late. She never properly woke up from the anesthesia. I did pay the extra money before the procedure for the blood test, and they did find an underlying health issue, however I was told that it was okay to go forward with the surgery. They were wrong!

Unfortunately, my beloved dog had degenerated to a point where he couldn't walk properly anymore and became incontinent. I resisted euthanizing him for a long time but it eventually, especially with a pregnant wife, became clear that he had to go. The clinic did a wonderful job of letting us ease our dog's pain and move on to the afterlife. We miss our boy dearly, but we can at least be sure that he didn't suffer for a moment.

I have been using this vet for a couple of years but I just became sick and tired of bringing my dog here despite the location being almost right around the corner from my house. First, their open hours are horrible, NEVER let you walk-in for anything and basically always have to miss work to take my dog for anything. Second, come on... you're in RDP where it's full of Italians and Anglophones, why on EARTH do your receptionists not speak a word of English? VERY annoying. Next up, WAAAAy too money hungry, they try and sell me shots, medications and that crap vet food every time I go. It costs me a fortune for anything I want to get done. As of last year I switched to a vet in Saint Leonard... everything is bilingual, the office is nice and clean and looks new, great doctors, open until 8PM every night of the week and cheaper!! Go elsewhere, save your money and time.

Dr Cote is the most caring vet, she takes the time to talk to your animal and offer different alternatives of treatment depending on your budget. Her and her clinic have helped so many foster dogs, abandoned dogs and always done with compassion. I have personally brought her puppy mills dogs saved from euthanasia and seen the sadness in her eyes as she comforts them and gently examines them. How anyone can says she does not love animals is beyond me.

Pick your vet properly. Last year, Dr Beauregard took her time and did a complete check up on my 11 year old dog. Found some lumps and determined (after testing) they were just fatty tissue. Fast forward to last month with a new yearly checkup and I wanted them to check a cough that she developed. Dr Boyer literally took 5 mins and rushed me out the door saying 10 times "oh today is a full day of urgent cases" Sent me home with pills for acid reflux. Had seen him before a few times and does not take time with the animals at all. 2 weeks later, went back as her cough was getting worse but asked to see another Dr. Got Dr Baronello and she did a full once over and suggested X-rays which showed inflammation in her lungs although not sure from what. We did 2 weeks of antibiotics. Dr Baronello called me on a Saturday to see how she was doing. Seeing as there hadn't been a big change, she recommended another medication. All in all, make sure you don't ask for Dr Boyer

J’ai payer pour une échographie à une autre hôpital veterinaire qui eux n’ont rien trouver et ont même passer une radiographie à leur frais pour voir si ce que les vétérinaire de rdp avait vu en radio, et il n’y ont rien trouvé. J’ai du dépenser 800$ pour rien mais ce n’ai pas ce qui me fâche le plus, c’est toute la semaine dont j’ai stresser car j’ai déjà perdu un chat a cause d’une tumeur. Je ne conseille pas cette hôpital vétérinaire.

My experience with this vet: I walked in to their office with a tiny kitten I found no more than a month old, the kitten was clearly dying, gasping for his breathe, crying, I asked if they can put him down as he was suffering, but we had to go through all the formalities, my name, address, postal code, telephone number, etc.....then I was told there was a charge, I was prepared to pay it, but when I saw the bill $101.00 for a tiny kitten which would require no more then an amount of less then 1ml, I told them they were CRAZY, how do they justify a bill of $100.00, for a ten second administering the solution. Worst vet ever!!! DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT, ever bring your pet there because they will only make your animal more sick! We probably have to put down our dog now because of 300 different mistakes made by Dr. Cote. We went to another vet and he said he was flat out shocked by the incompetence of this clinic. They charge a fortune to explain nothing. They don't tell you about a bunch of things you need to do and then what happens is your dog worstens because you didn't know you were supposed to do something important to help him out. But the worst of the worst is they lie to protect themselves and cover up their sheer incompetence. My mother went there with her dog because he had a herniated disk and she did not tell her that his bladder had to be emptied nor did she explain how to do it. So he then got an infection which then caused him to be unable to pee on his own so now he is on pills (that she never even suggested or mentionned) to contract his bladder and he has a 50/50 percent chance that they work, if they do not, he needs to be euthanized! She also told her that she is not for "clingy" dog owners, that sometimes you just need to let go, this being when he had a good chance of getting better. Clearly this is not an animal lover. Not to mention she did not mention that it would be better to leave him at the vet for a few days so that they could empty out his bladder until he gets better yet she flat out LIED by writing this in his file to protect herself. She also sold a catheter to my mother and told her to empty out his bladder 2-3 times a day without explaining to her how to do it (just doing it herself in front of her) when other vets have said that they would NEVER tell a client to do so since it is very hard to do and you could cause more damage than good. She then also lied in his file by saying she had explained the dangers of using the catheter to my mother doing it herself but that my mother understood and still was willing to do this. My mother came back home that night and cried the entire night because she was so traumatized and afraid of doing this the next day and hurting her dog. When I checked online and noticed that it said it was dangerous since it was not done by a professional in a sterilized environment, my mother freaked out and stopped trying right away and I started calling other vets to get a different opinion. They all agreed it was abnormal and couldn't believe a vet would ask this of her. It is flat out disgusting to me that a person could lie to cover up her tracks like this. That she would dare lie about what my mother said is terrible. This shows that she has no care for animals and all she cares about is more money. Had we brought the dog to a different vet from the beginning, he would be better by now instead of being in a situation where he might be euthanized. She wrote the report of lies that she put in her file after my mother left and when i went in later on, i was read out loud what she had written. Needless to say, we were flat out shocked that anyone could write such a thing to cover their mistakes. I was then very angry and told them so and they told me that maybe my mother in her sad state misunderstood the vet. That aggravated me even further because they kept contradicting themselves. First they tell me that the vet almost begged to put my moms dog in their care for a few days but that "they couldn't force her" since my mom kept refusing. Now explain to me if they had a full conversation like this where my mother kept refusing, how is it that she misunderstood because of her sad state. I know this is the only vet in RDP but believe me, drive the extra 5 minutes to st-leonard (there are about 5 vets there amongst which a veterinary hospital that is great) it is definitely worth not having your dog in the hands of such horrible people!

Malgré tout, je m'attendais tout de même à avoir un certain niveau de service à la clientèle. C'est le pire service que j'ai jamais reçu. Pas un bonjour, à peine un regard. Il y avait trois filles à l'accueil et aucune ne me regardait alors qu'elles essayaient de voir s'il y avait de la place (enfin, j'imagine, puisque personne m'a rien dit! ). J'avais l'impression de me retrouver devant des étudiantes de secondaire. Petit conseil : même si un client est en retard, sachez que ça peut arriver, personne est parfait et des fois, des accidents arrivent. Je me serais passé de leur attitude et j'aurais apprécié un semblant de compassion. Heureusement, vu les autres messages dans les avis google, c'est peut être mieux comme ça vu que leurs vétérinaires ne semblent pas mieux. J'irais ailleurs ou je n'aurais pas l'impression de déranger et je vous invite à en faire de même.

Par contre, ce que je trouve ahurissant c'est que pendant que j'attendais dans la salle... une cliente mécontente parce qu'ils osaient la faire attendre (elle n'avait même pas de rendez-vous...et voulait passer devant les autres...) c'est mis à les insulter, à les traiter d'incompétents, etc....Wow!!! Ils sont restés polis....Bravo! Moi, je l'aurais fait sortir de force... je peux pas croire que de telle personne existe...malheureusement il semble que oui.... C'est sûrement ce même genre de personne qui écrivent des commentaires médisants... quand on vient au monde fustré, on reste frustré... Je le répète...j'ai eu un excellent service, un très bon suivi et ce, à un prix moindre que beaucoup d'autres cliniques... Je les recommande sans hésiter...
