I went to Vet-Champlain for a 2nd opinion on some lumps for my dog as they came highly recommended by many of my breeder friends. I like information and if you suspect a, b, c or d and have options x, y and z to try, I like a vet that talks to me and explains why they recommend something and gives their honest opinion. From the very fist visit the staff were very open and welcoming and the vets highly knowledgeable. We went ahead with the surgery which was a good thing as one of the lumps was (thankfully) a benign tumor. We hit a little health snag to actually get to the surgery part at first but in all the visits and follow-ups, the knowledge and care portrayed was first class. This was even more apparent on a follow-up late night call when I was thinking my dog was bloating but, from his symptoms, sounded more like a back/spine pain. A subsequent visit with x-rays confirmed it! It was an expensive month for my boy but he's healthier and happier for it now, which is all that matters. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Drmac and his team at Vet-Champlain!

Extremely knowledgeable and efficient clinic without being cold and clinical. They have a lab on site and can diagnose blood work in 15 minutes. Not judgemental about breeding and extremely well equipped for breeder requirements including artificial insemination. Owner breeds shelties. The vets do not try to upsell on products nor do they push yearly vaccs and insecticides or anything unnecessary. Very honest and upfront with fees.

Front end receptionist is rude and don’t care much about you or your pet , experienced two times within last two weeks that they were rude. It’s all about the money and not your pet. There’s your dog/cat and here’s your bill. All about give me the credit card number and leave. Told us it’s this much and then it doubled in price. Check your bill people. I sincerely wasn’t impressed with your Service and the bill was double. I love my pets and was expecting that you would treat them better. Disappointed that’s all.

Best bet I've ever been to!! Hands down!! We brought both our dogs here for a teeth cleaning and we were beyond satisfied. The vet (Dr. Drmac) greeted us in the waiting area when we first arrived (before the receptionist even had time to greet us) and then again when we came to pick up the dogs to give us an update on how the procedure went and to talk to us about post procedure care. I have never been to a vet where the actual vet came out to see us. It was both professional and also very personable. I could tell right away that the vet was super caring and there for our pets. I was also pleasantly surprised with the bill as it cost less than what we had been quoted by another vet, by a long shot. I will be switching my file over officially and will be sticking with Dr. Drmac from now on! Thank you for such great care!!!

My male cat Mojo was acting very strange, lethargic,and crying. I called and they saw him in right away, diagnosed him with bladder issues.,very thorough and friendly staff. They also did his neutering a few months back, and saved my female last year with emergency surgery when she almost severed her leg off. They also call to see how the pet is doing. I moved to NB a year and a half ago and Vet Champlain is the 3rd vet that I have been to now. The first vet that I tried to go to wanted nothing to do with my GSD, the owner of the place told me that I had to take my dog for training because he barks. My boy has been through so much in his short 2.5yrs of life so far. He has had to have surgery on his teeth (overbite) at 8 months, he almost died at 11 month and was in and out of the hospital in Ontario, at 1.5yrs old he was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia, then had surgery on both of his elbows then a second surgery on his left one which has left him not able to walk properly. His barking to me is completely understandable, because when he goes to the vets he is on edge and high anxiety. The second vet clinic that I went to (the one that did the surgeries on his elbows) made me feel like they didn't care about my dog at all, that they only cared about my money. They never even attempted to make him feel at ease. They kept just telling me that I had to do another surgery, I spent 9000 in 3 months at this clinic trying to get my dog to be better and to walk normal again. After I told them that surgeries were simply off the table at this point, the next suggestion that the surgeon had for me was to euthanize my dog. This was appalling to me because he is only 2.5 years old! I decided to give Vet Champlain a try, as they were highly recommended by a bunch of people I had spoke to. Within one minute of Dr.Drmac meeting my dog, my dog was taking treats from him (he doesn't take treats from people he doesn't know) and Dr.Drmac was on the ground at face level with him getting kisses from my boy. I was so happy I was in tears, because since moving here everyone has treated my boy like a monster, but not Dr.Drmac! I cant say enough good about Dr.Drmac he is amazing and I am over the moon happy that I have finally found someone that will treat my boy with love and care while checking him over. I will never go to another clinic now that I have him! I cant express enough my gratitude for him and how he treated my dog! My dogs are my babies and they mean the world to me, so finding someone that is good with them and treats them the way I do, means the world to me!!!

Upon arriving to this vet and being made to wait 20 minutes past my appointment time, after being only 2 minutes late myself, the vet came in to criticize me, my personal medical condition, and my dog's appearance, which is a cropped Doberman. I was summarily shamed me for having or wanting a show dog, while being condescending and flashing nasty looks. After I asked to just please start the examination without the cosmetic discrimination, I wasn't met with any apology, but more rudeness. Go to this vet if you enjoy being disrespected and judged. The vet's name was Christina Chong. IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER's RESPONSE: No, the doctor was NOT complimenting the dog, she was showing disappointment in my decision, your response is a lie, from a rude doctor unwilling to admit that they were unprofessional. Also it is NOT mandatory to ask for proof of vaccination at a vet clinic, but thank you for publicly posting the details of my medical condition online for all to see.
