Make sure the wellness check is done BEFORE getting your pets vaccinated. Especially if they are old. Why spend $800+ in vaccines and arthritis meds only to have to euthanized them 2 months later due to muscle detoriation?

Hi,this message is for Dr Doug , we would like to say ty for being such an amazing Dr and always having our dogs best interests at heart and always being 100 percent honest with us whether we want to hear it or not sometimes pet owners always think with there heart and not there heads, we have had to let go of 2 of our pugs in 10 months ,you have made that process so much easier. Absolutely love Dr. Pickering! She is so great with my pets. And she doesn't try to push anything on you that isn't essential for your pet. She looks out for the well being of your pet, and is not all about the $$$...unlike a couple other vets there that I would NEVER take my pets to again.

I love this place! I took my miniature Wiener dog in on an emergency and they were supportive, friendly and didn't take advantage of us. They were able to solve his problem and we left feeling cared for. Would recommend this place to anyone. We don't actually live that close to this vet but because of their amazing reputation and low prices were now going to be Salisbury veterinary clinic clients. Thanks again for everything. The first vet that I had do the procedure directly in front of me. No hidden cost wonderful treatment checked up a sufficient amount and actually seemed genuinely concerned. Not a routine protocol phone call from this place :-) animal lovers work here

We take our two dogs here, and they seem to enjoy it. Staff is very friendly and concerned with the health of their patients. Prices seem fair, and they've got great hours so those of us who aren't available during normal hours can still get their pets in.

My wife and I have been talking our pets to Doug for 14 years. As a veterinarian Doug and his staff are the best we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. My wife and I consider Doug and his staff friends. The services provided and the friendship offered are second to no one. If there is any Veterinarian deserving of a community award it has to be Doug and his staff at Silver Fox.

Staff are amazing, and our vet Dr. Pickering is amazing. Knowledgable, professional, honest, and kind - they have kept our three pets (two cats, one dog) healthy and happy in the recent years that we've been patients at Silver Fox Veterinary Medical Centre. We feel so fortunate to have found such an excellent team - we're confident that our pets are receiving the best of care. We feel a deep gratitude for the genuine compassion that Dr. Pickering and the team demonstrated on one of our most difficult days this past year, when we had to put one of our cats to sleep. They have also shared in our excitement with us during the happy times, such as when we got a new puppy. I've always felt listened to, which I think can be so important when a pet is demonstrating different types of behaviour. I don't make many recommendations on google, but feel it's important to share how wonderful this place is. (Also - good spot for healthy treats, quality hygiene supplies such as shampoos, and they usually have locally made dog collars available in a variety of very cool patterns) If only our human health care system could be so consistently competent, accessible, and caring!

We our German Shepherd there a couple of years ago for an emergency and there was no one but a receptionist to help. We had to go to Riverview, and by the time we arrived he had died. So I don't know if it has changed but was not impressed at all.

The vet named Doug was awesome and showed me more than one procedure for my dogs knee surgery. My dog is doing great and we're only two weeks in. Doug left me feeling like all my questions were answered and with more money in my pocket than if I would have gotten the surgery done in Riverview. Well worth the drive to Salisbury and I will be giving my business to him from now on.

I wished the next day I had got some ashes, but at the time I didn't want to deal with losing him, so the print is a wonderful gift. I have framed it and am going to put a picture with it . We’ve been bringing Walter to this clinic since we got him 5 years ago. Dr.Darcy and Dr. Kristi are outstanding as are all the staff. I walked out today after being insulted and mocked by Dr. McGrath, the owner, in what was a truly bizarre interaction - especially considering I had never met him before. I asked to reschedule with another veterinarian and was summarily fired as a client because I was not “man enough”???. To let a dog suffer because of your swollen ego, Dr. McGrath , pretty much sums up that animal care is not your primary motivation. Everyone should feel 100% confident of the abilities of this clinic and two of its doctors. Unfortunately part of every dollar you pay goes back to McGrath because he is, as he pompously proclaimed several times, the business owner. My sympathies to the staff and employees who have to work there.
