For my first and last visit there they were super friendly and took care of my bird, they were gentle. They diagnosed the problems, sadly had to put him down, but they were really empathetic and gave me the time I needed. Thank you guys! We decided to stick with our current vet because he has been going there his entire life. But just based on this one interaction I can tell what a professional place this is. Thanks to Dr. Pocha, I finally have my Pug on the right path (she has IBD). No unnecessary treatments or expenses. I was able to meet with her and go over Penny's history and come up with an action plan. Changes in food and meds resulted in immediate relief. I am beyond happy after spending thousands at other vets, trying to find help. Rest of the staff is fantastic and everyone is very friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend.

The staff are very knowledgeable in rabbits and were more then helpful in finding the proper treatment for my bunny. If you are looking for a savvy small animal vet this is definitely the one. Unfortunately they do not provide vaccinations for rabbits however I will ask for a referral and can possibly get it done at OVC Small Animal Clinic.

The staff at Southdown Animal Clinic are genuinely some of the most amazing people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I've been here quite a few times for my two cats and you can tell that they care about what they do and the animals they work with. My job consists of working with people of many walks of life, and it is a breath of fresh air to still be reminded that genuine, kind and caring people still exist out there. Even when one of my cat's was going through a major diagnosis, they were there to answer all of my questions, provide any support that was required, and I always end up leaving the clinic knowing that I, and my pets, are in good hands. I remember being referred to this clinic years back, and I'm honestly really glad I was. I just wish my family doctor was as good as my vet.

Recently I have gotten a kitten and needed a lot of help to give my kitten the best care I possibly can, and I swear these guys- every. single. one. of. them. have been and still are there for me at the second that i have reached out for help. The staff here are nothing but friendly and truly compassionate to take care of your little fur baby and will do anything and everything to make sure he's healthy and properly taken care of. I honestly cannot recommend any other clinic but this one. Extremely overpriced. I called years back to ask how much it costs to neuter a rabbit and they told me $500-$600. I went to another vet and paid $200. Now I called to see how much it is to help my hamster with an impacted pouch and they said $215 and he would have to be sedated. I went to another vet and paid $125 with no sedation and it took a couple minutes. I'm not sure on their care of animals. But the other vets I went to treated my pets amazing and had lots of knowledge.

This is the best vet clinic I could ask for. It is not common to find veterinarians who treat small animals (in my case, a dwarf hamster), but Southdown Animal Clinic does! Everyone at the clinic is extremely compassionate, professional, and very good at their jobs! The vet who treated my hamster, Dr. Jankovics, is remarkably good at her job. She was so compassionate towards my hamster and was very knowledgeable on how to take care of him. He had many problems in different areas of his body, and the fact that she knew so much about how to take care of him amazed me! I have had past experiences at different vet clinics where the vet was not gentle with my hamster, but Dr. Jankovics handled him very well. My hamster was definitely a medical mystery, and even when unsure about something, she knew to do research and ask proper questions. My hamster also had an appointment with Dr. Warren who diagnosed my hamster very quickly. He was also very easy to talk to, and it’s very evident that he gets along with the animals (as well as their owners) very well. All the technicians at the clinic are a huge help, and know so much! Mary, Nancy, Emily M, Emily F, Rhiannon, Tatjana, and all the staff are phenomenal at their jobs. The clinic replies to emails and phone calls very fast, even on weekends. After my hamster passed away, they called to check up on me and make sure I was okay. It really stuck out to me that they cared to see how I was doing. Not only is the level of care from the doctors and technicians exceptional, but the compassion they show to the owners of the animals is incredible. Everyone at the clinic makes such an amazing team. Their hard work is recognized and greatly appreciated :) Southdown Animal Clinic is the only clinic I will ever recommend (especially if you have a small animal!!).

This is one of best clinics I've ever been at with our little birdie.. they actually care about your pet and provide you with top quality service. All stuffs and doctors are super professional and anything have to be done they solve it super fast... we had our bird super sick and he needed wing amputation, the doctor was calling us almost every day and asking us how we doing and how's recovery process going, unfortunately our little guy passed out few weeks ago ???? and I called them to close his file, receptionist was super nice. Last night I was surprised find in my mail box card from them with all stuffs signatures in it... that almost made me cry... I'm so much appreciated for all what they've done for us and definitely those small details are making hudge difference which makes them stand out from other clinics I've been at... again, thank you alot for your care and for support u provided us in this hard times..I'd highly recommend this clinic out of any others, also when we get any new furry family member this place will deffinatelly be our one and only choice.!With love Tina.????

My cat only 7 months old had major surgery to take 2 hair ties out of his stomach. I knew there was something wrong with him because he didn't eat ,drink, or even go to the bathroom. He was in the hands of Dr. Warren and Dr. Jancovick, they have saved my charlys life after undergoing surgery to remove the hair ties. It was the most scariest thing I ever had to experience. But in southdowns hands of the professionals,I was able to have Charly home in 4 days. Boy it sure was lonely without him ,but he's is back to himself ,and u would never know that he had surgery because he heeled so great. Southdown has saved my ???? Great service today... was greeted by two friendly dogs when I walked in the door! I went in looking for food for my dog Hank, and they didn't carry what he's currently on. She suggested that Clarkson Village Animal Hospital might have what I'm looking for, and she took the time to call them, and ask if they had it in stock. They did, so she gave me directions down the road to Clarkson Village Hospital. Great to see a company putting a customer's needs first and sending them to a different business. I am really happy with the service by Dr. Pocha and the girls at the front desk. They are so nice and friendly ALL the time. Dr.Pocha is excellent with the medical treatment of my little pup Indy. If i call with a worry or a question, she will answer it and then follow up 2 days later with me to make sure everything is good. When she has to give a needle to Indy, he doesn't even know it happened. Even Gabriella gave a needle today and Indy didn't even feel it. Thats impressive. Thank you !

My family and our cats had been going to this vet for 18 years. Unfortunately, when my cat got very sick he clearly was in alot of pain and discomfort. Due to these unprecedented times I did not have the finances to have my cat be put to rest so I had contacted the veterinarian right away and had asked if there was any kind of financial assistance that could be provided for myself especially during this difficult time. They had said that they did not supply that kind of financial assistance and directed me to another vet which also directed me back to my original veterinarian office and they had said that my vet should be able to assist me. Not only again did they inform me that they could not help without insurance but they also sent me to another vet. I understand that times are tough, for businesses and families, but my family member was suffering and I had been going to this vet for 2 decades. I never had any previous issues paying my bill and had always liked to bring my family members to this location because they were friendly and helpful. Now, I just am so disappointed and unfortunately will never ever bring my future pets back there again. It gives me great sadness to have to write this, and I never ever go on reviews and have my say. But I feel so disgusted by this experience that I feel I need to write this review. I hope no one else suffers the way my cat did because of financial hardships. May all of you and your families have nothing but peace and happiness in the coming days.

Now that I have my own furbaby, it was only automatic to bring her to Southdown! Whoever you speak to will always give you the time for any questions or concerns. I first saw Dr Warren in 2003. Even though I once moved 2hrs away, I would try to go to him. Due to lack of time however, I have tried several other vets closer to me. I've had 9 dogs since my first visit there, so I have a ton of experience with vets. I had a few years where I spent $10k+. There are some awful vets out there. After a few botched operations and misdiagnosis at other vets, I will stick with him. If he doesn't know something, he will say so and refer to experts. His "fees" are higher than most other vets I've been to (many), but I trust him the most. Dr. Pocha is my alternate vet there, and she's great. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable themselves, especially Mary.

We've been going to Southdown Animal Clinic for close to a year and have nothing but fantastic things to say about them. They are always so helpful and so good with our dog. My bunnies have seen Dr. Warren, Dr. Letic, and Dr. Jankovics. All of them are very knowledgeable with rabbits. They went above and beyond when treating my bunnies and suggested what is necessary to ensure the health of them. They offer blood test for bunnies which is so far the most well-structured/ more database compare to other clinics. Other clinics I have asked are very surprised when I inquire about blood test because they barely do them. The blood test, pre op exam, and stool test are all mandatory before spay/ neuter surgery to ensure they are healthy enough for the surgery. Based on this, I would choose to do spay/neuter surgery with them. The only downside I would say is that the price is a bit high. Anyhow, I will continue to take my bunnies to them for their professionalism and care. Thanks Southdown Animal Clinic!

My original doctor has changed over the years. I now see doctor Jankovicks and she is absolutely amazing. I bring my guinea pigs to her and she is always amazing with them. Takes her time, listens to me, and is very caring. I live in Bolton so I am about 1 hour drive one way without traffic! But I still go to this vet clinic because I trust them!
