Dr. Padma is awesome, she’s attentive, VERY patient, (my kitten is actually insane and she’s still so good to her) she’s informative and you can tell she loves the animals she cares for! I am super pleased with their client care and services. The staff is great as well, Dallas in particular is extremely helpful and awesome!

Dr. Banger and vet tech Helen performed the spay surgery on my almost 6 month Chihuahua x Shitzhu puppy who only weighed 2.3 kg. I booked my free consultation with Dr. Banger 1-2 weeks prior to the date of the spay. He was very thorough and made sure I understood what was included in the surgery (price, pre-op, post-op). I cannot thank Dr. Banger and Helen enough for keeping Pepper safe throughout the entire day. A few things to keep in mind: 1. The staff are so caring and you can really see that they love what they do 2. Very reasonable prices! Thank you!

I recently had grooming services from Dallas and she was amazing, she made my cat look and smell so good! I can’t say enough good things about this vet office. Not only is the entire staff friendly and considerate, but they have always made accommodations and appropriate recommendations to me regarding my dogs health without being pushy or selling me on a product. My dog is now 3 1/2 and we have been taking him here since he was a puppy. Dr. Padme is truly great and always gave us the best options and advice. Another star in the office is Dallas. When the office is closed and we had emergencies after hours, she made her self available via phone to provide us with knowledge and experience in the beet interest of our pet. The other main doctor (forgot his name) is a super patient, positive fellow who always looked after our pet when we brought him in. The entire team here works together for the best interest of your pet and they always provide knowledge and expertise when offering their recommendations. This is a great clinic for any Pet and owner.

They seem to be knowledgeable. First time I took my kitten for shots they gave us a bag of kitten food for free (43$ value) and it was excellent for my kitten, her fur got better and she loves it. This is where we get her food now - lasts approximately 2 months. They seem to be affordable as well.

I am a first time dog owner and they have made us both very comfortable with all of the services so far. Amazing service by all staff! I am a very anxious owner with a very difficult dog. They have always been incredibly patient with both myself and my dog. He went in for a dental scale and polish this week and they took care of everything top to bottom. Dr. Bangar was extremely thorough took many x-ray views of his teeth to make sure that they were all in good condition. Special mention to Dallas for all of her help, and for her patience and gentleness with my dog. She scaled and polished my dogs teeth and they are absolutely beautiful. My 4 year old dog has the pristine teeth of a puppy again. I would 100% recommend their services! Thanks again!!

Mohinder Bangar is one of the most ignorant “Vets” I have ever encountered. I strongly feel he is someone who just wants to turn a quick buck and cares very little about the animal. Went in a week ago and was charged a consultation fee which was ok but they forgot to update us on him being due for his rabies shot. Ok, still no problem because they say come back. We come back the next week and he walks in- gives him is rabies shot and then charges me 95 dollars after the 3 minutes we spent in the room because it included a 80 consultation fee even tho he should have just got the shot the week prior. PLEASE GO TO A VET THAT HAS YOUR PETS HEALTH IN THEIR BEST INTEREST!

I was referred to Rivergrove Animal Hospital for my two cats Luke and Leia by the rescue where I got them. From the start they were very attentive and considerate of the both of them. They really do think about the well being of your pet. For example, knowing that separating my kittens would cause anxiety - they let them both stay at the hospital overnight without an extra fee while one remained in observation. They are also very accommodating with appointment timings and try their best to schedule you in when you need without turning you away. This is true even during COVID - when it is hard to get appointments. Today my kittens are nine months old, and they are happy and healthy bc of the care they received (vaccinations, neuter and spay, etc.). I would recommend Rivergrove Animal hospital to you for your pet's needs, they will be well taken care of. Thank you to Dr. Bhangar, Dr. Mullick, Dallas and Connie and the rest of the staff at Rivergrove!

I had the greatest experience here! My dog (Maltie) started screeching at night and I googled affordable vets because as a student who also has to pay bill I have like no money! But they immediately took my dog in and that afternoon doctor Mullick squeezed me in between here back to back appointments and turns out he was very ill! It was a surgery that my other vet tried to charge me 3000+ for and I only paid 800 for the surgery! Absolutely fantastic and the service and staff are absolutely amazing!!!!!!

I used to come here before the with previous management and that doct was amazing. She was so sweet and not overly priced. I needed to get updated shots for my dog and when I went in they started adding more tests and blood work. Worst part if it all I didn't even say yes but I was forced to do these test. After that when I went to see the bill they charged me $25 dollars to wash my dogs ears, which by the way can be done at Pet Smart for significantly less. And then they charged 160 to do blood work, and then added a $25 charge for collecting the blood but you know don't worry because they give you a 25 dollar credit for being a new client .... I was being sarcastic Incase you didn't see that. The obviously over charge and try to find everything that is wrong with your pet. Would not recommend. We are switching vets.

I have a very fixed feelings about this place. The doctor is patient and attentive but she also tries very hard to sell her products. I took my cat to them when she had an eye infection. I picked the medication and eye drop from her. She charged me $45 for the eye drop when I could get it for $10 from a pet value pharmacy. When I asked her to write me a prescription, she mentioned that there will be a $25 prscription fee on top of her $60 consultation fee which was never mentioned before. She claimed that it’s the law of Ontario which sounded very funny to me. I wish they focus on our pets’ well being rather than using their expertise to sell the products.

Finding the perfect vet can be a difficult task. I am happy to say that we have found ours. The Doctor and staff at River Grove Animal Hospital are always a pleasure to deal with. Dr. Z is friendly, straight forward and always upfront about his fees. He is always willing to provide options for our fur-babies. We have a ten year old cat & a 1 - 1/2 old dog. LISTEN UP EVERYONE PLEASE: first of all, we called this hospital several times to double check the price to get our cat spayed and they gave us false information and a totally different price and fooled us to pay more than what we were told. They will scam you, and the people that work there are very rude and will give you attitude for asking a simple question! Overall, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had and this hospital is not reliable at all. Please save your time and don’t go here. Unprofessional and unreliable.

I absolutely trust Dr. Bangar and the team at River Grove. I have a slight distrust in vets from past experiences.. but from the first day I met him, he was so reassuring and I have never felt scammed or overcharged by him. When I found out that my dog was unexpectedly pregnant, he could have easily convinced me do expensive tests. Instead, he gave me lots of support and only charged me for what my dog actually needed. It’s almost an hour drive, however I happily continue to return to him with my dogs. I love the way he explains things to me and nothing ever feels gimmicky, guilted or forced. They just show exceptional care. After my puppy needed a more complex procedure, the staff was so reassuring, and they showed me pictures of the issues that my dog had. They also let me take him home in a warm blanket for the car ride home. I never feel pressured and I always feel supported by Dr. Bangar. I truly couldn’t ask for a better veterinary experience than that! Thank you thank you!!

So I have been going there for 7 years now. And now I’m very upset at there customer service. I haven’t received any notification for my dogs overdue vaccinations. And I was spoken to so rudely by the receptionist. So usually they are so good but how she spoke to me was ridiculous. I hope the manager or owners see this review and contact me. Update: they contacted me and fixed the situation. I will give 5 stars now.

Extremely impressed by the ethicacy and compassion of this clinic. My dog has been sick with kidney cancer and since we’ve been to this clinic and followed their treatment plan along with their optimistic advice our pups is doing so much better!! I am really hoping we are able to save our baby girl. thank you Dr Padma , Dr Banger , Dalles and the rest of the team for the hard work and effort you guys put on a daily basis! P.S River Grove was a second opinion doctor the first thought we should put our dog down considering the state she was in( she did pull through) and I am so I glad i didn’t, river grove was the best choice for us. I would always recommend a second opinion for people struggling with the decision to euthanize their pets.

My two kittens had their spay surgery. Dr Mohinder did everything nice and clean and the staff took great care of the kittens. On 3rd day one of them took off her cone! and by the time we got home, she ran so much that gotten herself hernia!!! We were terrified when we saw it and rushed to hospital immediately. Dr. Mohinder assured us that it is easily fixed and did so next morning. The price we got charged was a fraction of the cost we would have paid elsewhere and the service provided was pleasurable. I was amazed about the results I got from my fur baby . She has the worse allergy and the staffs and the doctor who handled her did a wonderful job. Not only her allergy is gone she's back to her normal behavior now. Dr. Bangar is so nice and very compassionate. He knows how hard for me to see my poor dog suffered and he rest assured that everything will be fine. These words are very comforting for the dog parents who has to undergo an emotional roller coaster for their pets. i would NEVER recommend this place. no folowup on dog's vaccinations. Did a visit for dogs ear infection. They looked at the system and said all up-to-date. Then I go for grooming and find out that dogs rabies vaccination has expired. then I call them and get an appointment for the vaccination. My son goes there and is there for 17 minutes and they want to charge 67$ for consultation plus of course the rabies shot. My son refuses to pay.....their definition of 'consultation' is they ask you 'how is the dog' and my son said 'all good'. that's what they said they are charging him for. Its a rip off. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN. Now I understand why they did not tell me of his vaccination record when I went for hi ear infection checkup...Cause they want you to come separately so that perhaps they can charge you consultation fees just to tell you update the status of his vaccinations. they want to send to credit collection...good luck...you can expect me then to complain about this to consumer protection.

I've bringing my dog Buster here since it was recommended to me by the breeder and it was hands down the best decision. RGAH is really detailed with each visit and explaining everything clearly on what needs to be done and what the problem is. I've worked with Dallas from the start and she always been A1 and she goes the extra mile all time to ensure I know what's got to be done and clarifies any question I have to the full extent. Both the doctors (Dr. Bangar & Dr.Mullick) at the facility are very responsive and take the time to explain why they are suggesting what they recommend you do and I've never felt rushed out in any situation. The staff overall is very professional and always follow-up after the visits to ensure everything is going OK. I would highly recommend them !

Dr. Padma Mullick and Dr. Bangar are the most caring vets that I have ever met. They are fabulous Drs and want what is best for our pets. Dr. Banger is also an excellent dental surgeon who performed dental surgery on my dog and removed 7 teeth and gave him a good cleaning. He is like a puppy again and had no complications and recovered very quick. (Also very reasonable prices for dental work). Most recently my cat got very ill, I thought it was hair balls but Dr Padma did X-rays and blood work and uncovered that he had severe pneumonia. He is currently being treated for this and they follow up frequently to see how he is doing. She even taught me how to check his temperature in his rectum and it really is quite easy. She definitely saved his life. They have always fit me in, as well, when We have had emergencies with our pets. I recommend them 200% and drive from Burlington to mississauga just to come to this clinic. I also know of a time when Dr. Padma was so worried about a sick cat that she slept beside his cage overnight to keep an eye on him! The techs and staff are just as caring and wonderful with our pets. Hope this helps if anyone is looking for a new vet or looking to switch.

We brought our cat, Chico, to River Grove Animal Hospital for a grooming. He’s a big fur baby who had some pretty big mats on his back and behind his ear. Dallas was so considerate and professional in explaining the procedure and everything to us—making sure we were aware and understood everything. Our 12 yr old cat Oreo was diagnosed with diabetes in Dec 2017. We chose not to hospitalize him. Instead, Dr Mullock provided us guidance through consultations and messages. She taught us how to take blood glucose readings and to administer insulin. Today, Oreo is in remission. We are so grateful to Dr Mullock for her kind heart and excellent professional advice.

Dr.Mullick and Dr.bangar are amazing and very patient with my crazy kitten. I was referred by a friend to come to river grove because I have tight budget. They are super reasonable and not pushy. Poor customer service in general...I would not recommend this vet to any friends or family. Receptionists are rude and don't seem to understand the customer's priority over theirs (we are the ones paying the fees here!). Not coming back here once our puppy package is expired. Update, Response to reply: You have two staff at the desk that have been helpful in trying to find us information (though one was not listening because the advice was something we already told that person we knew). The vet doctors there have been nothing but dismissive and/or rude and have not done anything to try to help. We were just dismissed by the vet when asking how to give our overly aggressive dog his medication (can't get close to him) with him saying "not my problem, after the surgery you have to take care of him." Thanks for the help. Don't try to reply and say you all have been kind, we count two front desk people there that have been. Feb 11, 2021 Update: This vet decided to cancel our puppy package as soon as we our puppy's neutering was done. We prepaid for a year's worth in advance and still have a couple months of coverage left but they sent us an document stating cancellation of the contract. I've reduced the rating to 1 star for this reason.

The vets don't care about the pets at all, they are simply there to profit off of your pets health to the fullest extent. They never tell you anything in advance to help take preventive measures. It's not clean nor professional. There are a lot better vet clinics around the area that are also open later. I highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs, definitely trash, you and your pet(s) deserve so much better.

Truly from the bottom of my heart I am so thankful to Rivergrove Animal Hospital for giving Melo a second chance. When other clinics declined to operate on Melo the Doctors at Rivergrove took on this grave challenge and it was a huge success. Melo is now almost 4 weeks post-op and is doing wonderful. We took our Siberian Husky to get groomed for the summer here and the staff was amazing. Huskies have notoriously thick hair and a crazy side and our boy came home looking and smelling fantastic. We also have a 15 year old jack russel with a litany of health problems and the clinic was very accommodating in terms of allowing us to have a payment plan (he’s needed a lot of surgery, medication and careful attention). Dr.Banger was a godsend and the staff always treat us like family.

I have been taking my pet to River Grove Animal hospital for years. I would never take my animal anywhere else. Even though I am no longer living in the same city as the clinic’s location, I will make the drive to see them anyways. They have very caring veterinarians who I trust completely. In fact, when my 19-year-old cat recently passed away at an emergency clinic, Dr. Z called me the next day, just to see how I was holding up and to offer his condolences. A couple days’ latter, I received flowers to my house for the memory of my cat. I have never found that their goal is the money but the wellbeing of both the client and patient. While they always give the options of any tests or procedures available, they are always very clear about what they recommend and what they do not - I have never experienced them recommending a test that was not essential. Over the years, I have lost count of all the extras or small procedures they have done for free. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone who wants the best for their pet yet not break the bank!

brought ginger to get first time doggy dental. i was mega stressing out, knowing there wasnt gonna be any good news . Unfortunately at age 6 ginger had not gotten her teeth brushed or even looked at , i was unaware of the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene for my dog , Gingers teeth were in baadd shape ! like i could just gently pull on a tooth , and it be coming out , as if they werent even really attached to her gums. So on the verge of a full blown anxiety attack. Obsessing over the fact , her teeth were bad because of me , not paying attention to her teeth ever ! along with the understanding that ' its gonna cost alot of money to try n fix all the extremely damaged teeth she had. thankfully the staff were very understanding ,and patient .helping me through all the anxiety i was having , It would be okay , and that everyone including my self ,were just trying to do what was best for ginger. After the vet had examined ginger they calmly went through my optians in regards to treating gingers dental and over all health. we created a payment plan . (fix exam was free which was amazing ) it included cost of anibiotics ,anistishia ,ex ray, extraction ,stitching, cleaning,(super white teeth afterwards!!!) Another thing is that they allowed me to pay in parts ,over cores of several days , any way i could, ( cash , debit, credit card,e transfer) instead of worrying and stressing out over how i was gonna save the money to get this procedure done , honestly thank god because if i had to save up and pay in full ,ginger probably wouldnt of gotten the health care she desperately needed. Again the staff were amazing , the vibes were amazing ,the surgery and physical went smoothly.Every thing was upfront and honest .I felt not only the concern they had for ginger ,but also the concern they had for me , and getting me through this financially and emotionally. It was very stressful on ginger and me. but as of today me and ginger are happier then ever , thanks to river grove animal hospital !! sooo happy i went,and will be going back next time ginger needs a visit to the vets!!!!

We brought our 10.5 month old puppy into the clinic near the close of business on Tuesday as he was vomiting blood and had very runny stool. We were obviously very concerned about our boy. It turned out that he needed urgent care and that his condition was life threatening. All of the staff and doctors were extremely caring and compassionate with our pup and after 2 full days of IV and hospitalization, it looks like he will make a full recovery. The doctors were very kind, patient and informative. All of the staff were loving, knowledgeable and patient with us and our pup as well - in particular Dallas who took considerable time to answer our questions and ease our concerns. We are beyond grateful for the whole team.

I have brought both of my dogs here, as well as made my family and friends bring they're animals here from other clinics. this review is not based on one experience or a tragic incident but a continuous of amazing experiences every single time i go, with every single animal. i have been to about 8 other vets in mississauga, including those in the surrounding areas, and i can promise you, they are only about the money. not to disembark on peoples passions or careers, however when there is a refusal of service when an animal is in distress due to outrageous fees or hidden fees in the billing or unnecessary up sales of things not needed, it makes trusting them and believing they care almost next to impossible, when they are okay with watching animals suffering cause they cant cash out. My dog was sick with kennel cough and an ear infection. My regular vet was booked for the day but this clinic Was free and able to help. Dr M. Was very courteous and her staff were very kind as well. They made sure I understood all instructions and also offered a complimentary 1 week follow up to ensure my dog was healthy. My only concern was when I got the bill I felt the ear medication was expensive BUT I realized that the price Was market price for the medication so it was my misunderstanding. We have been taking Willow to River Grove Animal Hospital since she was a puppy. She was spayed and had her dew claws removed. There were a few issues with healing of the dew claws but the staff were fantastic and were genuinely concerned about her well being. I've waited to post this to be fair and not speak out of anger and pain. However, as time has passed I feel the exact same way. Although I feel the intentions of Dr Mullick and maybe Dr Bangar are good, I feel their lack of execution/experience is incomprehensible. If you have a loved furry member of your family who expresses fear at the vets and acts somewhat aggressively, do not leave them unattended with them. I was promised no agressive actions would be used towards a procedure with my sick pet and was ultimately lied too. How two trained vets collectively could not sedate a sick 8 pound pet without causing extreme stress and to use an overly aggressive approach (when promised not too) to a very ill animal blows my mind. They have no idea how to deal with upset pets nor wish to deal with them after when they have no idea what's going on with them. (Did not even discuss the full blood test results with me) They are dismissive and do not wish to deal with a pet they cannot control, when in fact, that's their job. Are they not trained to do this? My pet always went in for yearly shots but was never fully physically examined due to them not knowing how to approach my pet. I trusted that he always left the clinic in good health and was brought in immediately after falling ill. I strongly feel their actions ultimately led to the early death of my loved one as my pet entered their clinic one way and left entirely different. It was utterly heartbreaking and devastating for my family as I feel they dismissed my loved one. Watch and think twice.......I wish I had.

I currently work at RGAH and have been for almost 4 years. I would like to thank everyone for the positive reviews on behalf of our team. We really strive to ensure that everyone that comes to our clinic has a positive experience. Myself included, I really do my best to make sure our clients feel like they are getting the best care for their pets and they aren’t being cheated. It hurts when I read negative reviews that aren’t honest or just straight lies because then I feel like I have failed at my job. Clients do not see how much hard work Dr.Bangar and Dr.Mullick Work behind the scenes. We stay 2-3 hours after closing working on patients and their files, the doctors make personal calls to our patients after hours even after working a 10 hour day. We stay late making sure we didn’t miss anything or we come up with new treatments to better provide for the clients. Being a vet is not easy and is extremely tasking, they are faced with hard decisions every day as well as the unseen pressures from the pet owners. People do not give them enough credit and expect that everything should be free even when our pricing is as affordable as we can make it, not actually knowing how much hard work goes into the care we provide for their fur babies. It is hard to find a workplace that you actually enjoy and respect your bosses. I hope that reviews can stay honest and fair. Thank you to everyone who supports us!

I recommend it to all my friends as it is a very nice place. What I like the most is that they are available 7 days a week. My previous vet was not available on weekends. No one knows when you wake up and find your pet sick. Prices are affordable and the technicians are nice and kind with my kitty. The vet is knowledgeable and recommends what she sees needed and I make the final decisions for my cat. I also like that they have boarding for when I travel and they also they have grooming. Very nice place and I am happy with them.

This veterinary clinic has been an absolute godsend. The doctors and staff are genuinely empathetic and will go above and beyond to ensure the health and wellness of your animals. Unlike previous clinics I've visited that only care about $$, RGAH are transparent and ethical within their practice and make themselves available around the clock for any and all questions/ concerns that you may have. This is particularly true with Dallas, who we rely on heavily when ordering medical supplies and monitoring the health of our fur babies. They've helped me respectfully grieve the passing of my senior lady, Chloe, and bend over backwards to ensure that both my boys, Oliver and Gatsby, (the latter being medically dependent) are healthy, happy and comfortable. I will never go to another clinic and happily drive from Richmond Hill to this location purely for the service and level of care offered. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

We have been taking our dog here for 2 years. I cannot say enough about the excellent care and education they provide. Flexible appointment times, never waiting. Our dog had dew claws removed which can end up being complicated. Given our concerns Dr Mallick supported us by letting us come by for a few days in a row and had a quick check just for our reassurance as a novice dog family. The nurses are always knowledgeable and provide excellent care. Especially Dallas - everything from explaining the puppy package to meds to what is affecting your pet and how to care for the pet and yourself. Reasonable pricing for services. There is no hard sell to buy products or extra treatments. Just genuine support and care for pets and their families.
