Friendly staff but I would not go back again. Brought my puppy in because she had hives and the vet convinced me it wasn't allergies because according to her.. puppies don't get allergies. So she gave me a quota for a scrape test, plus for the evaluation and it was fine, around 70. Still expensive and i didnt think the scrape test was necessary. I was strapped for money, stressed out enough over what I thought it was.. turned out to be 160. Went to a more experienced vet and told me right away it was allergies. He was even kind enough to let go of the charges because he felt bad I had to pay 160 for literally nothing.

I don't go there anymore for multiple reasons. 1) Not once but twice I realized my ferrets had cancer before the vet did, even though they both had full checkups weeks to a month prior. 2) on one of the ferrets, they tried to push for a $1,500.00 surgery even though the survival chance was only 5-10%. Medications were not offered in lieu. 3) when asking about financing for said surgery, no one in the building knew anything about the company they work with for it and the receptionist handed me the phone and told me to ask the financing questions to the financing company directly. 4) I ended up having to put down that ferret because the quality of life was too poor. 6 months later I got a happy birthday card and shot reminder for that pet and I had to call and remind them that the pet was put down by their vet in their building and to not send me anything again.

A shady vet. They try to scam you so you better be fully informed on your pet or they will milk you. I caught their vets lying to us through the inconsistent information they were giving. Not only that but they did not provide a vaccine sticker when they allegedly vaccinated our dog. Find another vet to go to because these folks are only after your money.

My hedgehog appeared to have some respiratory issues and SCAH is one of the very few vets that deal with exotic animals/hedgehogs. Great people. Recently had a promotion that waived the exam fee and we just had to pay for the medication which was mixed and dispensed in house, so we didn't need to run around afterwards. Aside from getting our hedgehog brought back up to health on very short notice and a good price, they have even called every so often to check up on how our hedgehog is doing during the medicating process. Very sweet. Recommended.

Went there once with my new puppy just for her vaccinations. As soon as the vet had seen us she seemed very judgemental. Telling me how I should train my puppy and what not, it was multiple things she apparently had a problem with.. but I mean she was a new puppy.. she's not going to be trained and well behaved in 2 days.. other than that it was an alright experience.

Doctors are very approachable and makes sure I understand what I need to understand. They always keeps you updated on everything as well. Went for a nail trim for dogs and was told price was 21.50.After the first dog came out, they told me it is now 30$ for the nail trim because they were difficult. Then they tell me that they only did the front paws because the back paws were not needed? Stay away from here! Prices are never what was advised.

My little dog has been through a lot. Diabetic, lens implants and sady, the loss of both eyes. I have seen all three vets and they are all carng and wonderful people. Dr. Aslan has spent lots of time on the phone with me and Harlow is doing very well. I am thankful for them.

I brought my dog, Matrix, here recently and they took really good care of him and were very patient (he gets really excited when meeting new people and is a very curious dog). They also phoned the day after the appointment to double check to see how he was doing since he got a vaccination done. They care a lot about Matrix's well-being and provide excellent care! Definitely recommend taking your pet here!

Sage Creek Animal Hospital has great receptionists and protocols for covid. They always handle my food orders well and are very nice. My issue with this place is the veterinarians. They are kind and will find a solution to your pet’s problem, but I find they don’t look at the long term options. Took my cat here several times for blood in urine and they gave him medication and it went away, but it would always come back. It wasn’t until I took him to a different vet that he was diagnosed with FIC and was recommended special food to prevent problems. My cat also has constant constipation, which I brought him here for. They cleared him up temporarily, but became constipated again months later. At another location they cleared him up as well but also suggested a powder I can give him that will help prevent future issues. So if your pet is having a medical issue that doesn’t seem to be a chronic thing, or if you need to order special diet food, Sage Creek is a great place. But in my experience long term issues are not always assessed here.

Brought my 8 month old shepherd mix in due to an ear infection, our local vet was booked up and wouldn't be able to see him for over a week so... I made the mistake of taking him here. Keep in mind I drove from my workplace in Transcona, to my house an hour out of town, & back to Sage Creek for this appointment. Staff were very kind, knowledgeable and service was quick. Vet called me for the appointment and listed the possibilities of what may need to happen during the visit. Well, when he evaluated my dog, he called me to tell me what he found AND what he had ALREADY DONE to my dog without my consent. I know the vet's office usually is costly, but I did not expect a $229.18 bill including a $40 charge to simply flush my pups ears out.. nevermind the $80 medication (MIL got for under $50 at her vets office). Considering the misconduct of preforming a procedure on my pet without notifying me of the cost and getting my consent beforehand.. I will NOT be returning here nor will I ever recommend this money-hungry veterinarian's office to anyone.

My boy cat Archie required quite an extensive dental procedure - two extractions & cleaning. He's a very nervous & anxious boy at the best of times so I was very worried going into the appointment. He has just been a little super-star since he came home & has bounced back so quickly. They did just a wonderful job taking care of him & ensuring he received the best possible care!! So thankful for the staff at this animal hospital. Our cat was not well, not eating and obviously suffering. Our regular vet would not see her and the emergency vet would only possibly take her at night. Sage Creek were so kind to take her as a drop-in and took such wonderful care of her. Thanks goodness because she had pancreatitis and was close to being very, very ill. So very grateful for their care of our Phoebe, she is now home and happy.

So pleased with this animal hospital & Dr. Alsani. My 13 year old cat Isobel had been depressed, isolating under the bed, hissing at my other cats & cringing every time she came out from under the bed for the past 8 months+. She was also falling frequently even with short jumps. She got so insecure & reclusive I thought I was going to lose her. I had taken her to 2 other animal hospitals - blood work was fine but no answers or treatment. Dr. Alsani listened so carefully to everything I said & was the first to swab her ears. She had an ear infection, had antibiotic ear drops for 10 days & that evening after the last dose she walked into the living room with confidence & made the 2.5 foot jump up to her favourite hang out on top of the bookshelf for the first time in 8 months! Since then she pretty much back to herself walking around & hanging out just like she used to. I am so grateful to have my little (has to lose some weight) girl back! Cat Mom x3

We have been going to Sage Creek Animal Hospital since it opened. The vet and owner of the clinic has been so good to our dogs. He is loving to the animals as well as compassionate to our family. He is always willing to take the time to make sure we understand what is going on with the dogs. I wouldn't want to take our animals anywhere else. The staff at this clinic have always been warm, welcoming, patient and loving towards our animals and always follow up with us later.

Staff is unhelpful countless times I’ve been there. Not submitting claims properly. I had to call 4 times to get the same claim submitted. The veterinarians are rude when examining my pets on multiple occasions and on one visit she was unable to run an exam because he was moving too much as he is a young puppy and didn’t bother to ask an assistant to help keep him still. She said “I can’t do this” I was charged $75 and got no results. Very pointless visit. Vet Clinics in Steinbach are much better and cheaper highly recommend.

I was referred to sage creek vet clinic by a friend. I was hesitant since I've had a terrible experience at the previous clinic. But my dog coffee needed her shots so bite the bullet & made the appointment. Maryam, Dr. Aslani & his staff are professional, kind & genuinely caring. I have avoided writing this, but I think the situation was just unfair... I had brought my dog in for a dental costing approx 600.00 A week or so later I noticed a large lesion on the back of her neck. I brought her back paid an additional 150.00 to find out the needle THEY gave her during the dental caused a bad infection. I then needed her on antibiotics for two weeks and though Dr Friesen called and checked up on us(appreciated) as I sent photos of the lesion, she then asked me to bring my dog back because SHE wanted to check it in person. I was then charged another 54 dollars for a visit I didn’t request! This issue was clearly caused on their end, and though I fully appreciate medicine is not a perfect science, it would have been admirable for them to take responsibility for the injury caused by them, as any other business would do. I appreciate what they do and acknowledge that they have been wonderful with us.. however this just doesn’t sit well with me.

I just started bringing my boy here during the pandemic, so I haven’t really had a chance to go in and meet the staff yet. I first brought him here because their price was more reasonable than where I had been taking him and his previous vet wanted me to sedate Charlie before bringing him in to see them. This vet said he was fine during the exam and Charlie did not seem traumatised for days after his appointment as he had at the previous vet. They always phone while I’m waiting outside to let me know how it went etc and seem very patient and kind to Charlie!. They have also waived the cost of a wellness check as it had been done fairly recently. I am very satisfied and happy so far with this veterinary office and Charlie seems to be as well!
