With Dr. Bev, her practice truly is about what is in the highest good of the patient. This is why after a really bad experience at another local clinic I began going to Dr. Bev. She has seen our family of cats through illness and minor issues with kindness and compassion and I'm grateful that I know fully well that I can trust that she always has what is in the highest good of my cats in mind at all times.

I was recommended to take my schnauzer to OVH by my son in law. The place was a beehive of activity but despite the "frenetics", the staff (Kim especially) was able to balance customers, patients and phone calls marvellously. My dogs teeth and snout was cleaned up, patched up, and healed up in a short order with dignity, professionalism and care. We will be returning and spreading the word about this great clinic!

i live in hubbards and find this a bit of a drive. However I find it worth it. The vet, the staff are all beautiful caring people. The vet listened to all my concerns without blowing me off, she went in depth explaining things with books and everything, all the while making sure my dog was content. She's not the kind of vet to throw unneeded drugs at you and try to suck your money. I look forward to working with her again over the life of my Service Dog.

We were traveling from Dartmouth to Lunenburg with two dogs and made a stop in Mahone Bay. Our elder dog had a seizure in the parking lot. ( her 4th in just a few months) we needed help. Called this vet. They said they were not taking new patients. Told them we just needed a one time visit to euthanize . Sorry, can’t accommodate. Asked where we might go. No help or sympathy. Wow, how unempathetic was that. Left us high and dry with a sick dog in a town we didn’t know.

I have worked with Dr. Beverly Greenlaw and her staff for the past four years. I actually live on the other side of the province but travel to this Vet Clinic because I like and know the compassion they have for animals. They do my spay/neuter and care for a TNR program as well as maintenance of any cat that ends up in the Sanctuary. To me , this is the highest place of respect. These cats are unwanted by people but are treated by this staff as individual critters and every one of them matters to this staff. There is NO SUCH thing as unwanted in the eyes of this wonderful crew. They have also helped me look after my own personal pets as well with just as high of standard. Every critter matters. Thank you for all the kind and caring work you people do at Oakland Veterinary Hospital.

Visited the hospital for an ill chicken. I called on a Friday, and they were able to see me on a Monday. The vet was to the point, professional, ameliorated my hens discomfort, and was able to prescribe medication to help with the condition. I have no complaints about my service, and will continue to use and recommend this vet hospital.

Just had our poodles teeth done here, I must say, they truly know what they're doing. Rolo was a bit loopy when we got him, but he was just the happiest little guy the whole time. If you're on a budget and need some dental work for your furbabies I would definitely recommend here. Just wish they were a bit closer to hrm. ????????‍♂️

Prices here are amazingly good without sacrificing quality of care. My senior Shihtzu was spayed had a cyst removed and 15 teeth extracted in the same operation. She was then happy and healthy just days after the procedure leading me to believe they had the utmost care to be gentle and clean during the procedure. I won't mention the specific price but the teeth removal was 1/4 the price I was quoted in Ontario. Thank you!

We've been using Beverly's service for over a year now and she and her stafff are a true god send to this area. Our first few visits with her were very stressful and emotional and her compassion not only for our pet but for the both of us as well went far beyond what any other vet service that we have used has ever done for us. She is in the this profession for all the right reasons. We have now just adopted another furbaby and she will now be his doctor. We can not say how much we appreciate her abilities and professionalism that she shows for all parties involved. She reasonally saw our new baby and the next day her office called to see how everything was going with our Baillie. They are all a truly great bunch of people with the love for animals. We couldn't be happier than with Oakland vets. They do a lot of work for the SPCA and try to find homes for abandoned and unwanted animals - everything from rats to cats. Their prices are reasonable, the vet Beverly is so good with cats I call her "The cat whisperer." (She's great with dogs too.) Her prices are reasonable and she doesn't provide the most expensive solution first or insist on a bunch of unnecessary tests as some vets have done. Her staff is compassionate and caring. They know how to talk to clients and use sensitivity - unlike another nearby vet's staff ! I would recommend Oakland to everyone.

This place was recommended highly to us by several friends with pets. We found the veterinarian to be very knowledgeable and straightforward. She told us exactly what our rescued cat needed and did not try to sell us any unnecessary tests or procedures. The price for an examination, a distemper shot, nail clipping, and treatments for worms and fleas was quite reasonable. We had no information on our pet's previous medical care, which we suspected had been nonexistent. The staff was very helpful as well. We would recommend this veterinary service because of their honesty, knowledge, and reasonable prices.
