I will give a 2 as the staff are lovely, my cat was cared for but I was quoted $350, with 3 x-rays and only had 2...left with a bill over $650. I went on a recommendation, as my vet was on holidays, and I will not return as my vet is AMAZING, and charges appropriately. Instead of taking whatever they can from people that care for their animals....sad.

I have been bringing my pets here for years now, at least 10 years. Unfortunately this past week we had the hard decision to put down our old puppy. The team there was so supportive and caring. I tell everyone to go to Matthews here in London they honestly are the best.

My family's dog had a fall and couldn't get back up, so they took him here to get looked at, because the doctor was in surgery, they refused to give my dog x-rays despite stating he is in obvious pain, they instead gave us pain meds that costed us $600, our dog died the next morning, and it costed us another $200 for him to be cremated. This is also the vet that wanted to make the same dog permanently deaf because of ear infections which happened to be cause by allergies. That they didn't want to test for and sent us to a specialist, who was shocked that they didn't bother to test him for basically anything that could have cause the ear infections and kept blaming it on bacteria to get more money out of our family for ear cleaning supplies. Be prepared to be priced gouged for basic needs for a pet.

The staff at Matthew's are all lovely, and we greatly appreciate that they seem to give you all the options available without pressuring you into any specific course of action (i.e. they don't seem interested in pressing you to spend the most money possible!) We absolutely love Dr. Eric, we moved out of the area a little while ago but continue to come here because of how great he is

Amazing vet. Prices are not too expensive. They can often fit us in to see our dog in an emergency or if we are worried. The staff are amazing - great with the animals and very caring. They always call to follow up after any appointments to see how things are going and if we have any questions. I drive across the city to attend this vet and it is very worth it. All of the veterinarians are great!

I Took my Yorkie here as his teeth are really bad. The front receptionists were very friendly, and even the techs that came out and received my dog. They even had my dogs name on the chalk board, with a little welcome. One of the Dr's came in, and was very informative, and friendly. They gave a diagnosis, and was able to fit my dog in for surgery within days. The day of the surgery was also great. The tech came out and held my dog, while I asked some questions. The Dr. even called after examining my dog while under Anesthesia to give me an update of what he saw before doing the work. Great Dr's, techs, receptionists! Recommended.

Been going to this vet for well over 20 years. Dr. Cox left and all they do now is up sell . Never the same vet. The last one bent the needle when giving my dog a shot. Another vet was there and I asked her to give her the regular shot to strengthen her back leg. Her comment was why are you wasting your money this is no help. Have I been wasting my money with these shots for the past 9 years ? I honestly do not think Dr. Cox was wrong. The staff is great/ now they should get a regular vet that knows what they are doing and stop trying to sell me all your unneeded services. When I walk in now I have a attitude re the money grab.

Dr. Becky saw our Lita through her final moments in the most empathetic, amazing way possible.my husband and I were both beside ourselves but she was amazing throughout the hardest day of our lives. Overpriced services compared to elsewhere. $500 for an xray to examine a possible blockage in a cat that revealed nothing. This same service was $120 at another vet that I'm now a loyal customer to. I was pressured into the xray which I knew was not needed as there was no chance of a blockage but they wouldn't perform a blood test and/or refer me to the emergency vet hospital without me paying for the xray first because my cat had one past blockage surgery. After all of this in the heat of the moment of my cat being very ill, I realized how much I was ripped off and pressured and I was told their manager would contact me. I've still never received any call, avoid this place.

My mom and I put down our dog Bella last night and I've never met a set a staff members with such amazing bed side manners. I only got the names of Sarah and Kristen (who were absolutely amazing) along with the vet & the receptionist at the front desk. I already have different a vet for my other dog but I would definitely consider switching and I would absolutely recommend you! Thank you all for making this difficult time easier.

I've had a great experience at Matthews Animal Hospital. Dr. Eric performed my dog neuter and the technician Kristen came out to go over everything with me. This is my first dog I've ever owned on my own and she was very patient and knowledgeable with everything she went over with me. She answered all the extra questions I had and was beyond kind and caring. I highly recommend this clinic if you're looking for people who genuinely care about your pet's well-being.

HORRIBLE NEVER TAKE YOUR PET HERE !!! Every time I took my dog here there was a different Vet. In case of emergency better hope there is no Apts if there is they will turn your dog away. Staff not very nice. One older lady that answer always has attitude when you call.

I recently had my dog in to remove a lump. The staff gave him the royal treatment. Dr. France did an amazing job removing the lump and keeping him comfortable. The tech, Kristen, did a fantastic shave job. I can tell they cared about him. The staff there are consistently great. Highly recommend Matthews!

I have used the veterinary services here for many years! Sadly as I am not in the area at present. I had to call and tell them. My dog had became suddenly ill! I had to rush him to a 24 hour vet hospital where he was placed in an oxygen chamber. Upon xrays and blood work they had found cancer. That had spread rapidly closing part of his esophagus! To which they told me euthanasia was beest for him! Hardest thing ever as he jad been a long time companion and best friend!! Just received in the mail a letter from Guelph! That Vca Maatthews Animal Clinic made a monetary donation in then name of my best friend Royce!! Thank You VCA for helping Royce to allow to live on!! Will see yous in the future again!! :) Everyone in your Clinic has always been amazing and awesome people to deal with!! Thanks Again Dave & Royce Dresser

We have been taking our pets to Dr Cox and associates for over ten years. Our pets are always well treated, and our concerns addressed. They have gone above and beyond in the care of our dogs, the staff greet Emma and Bella, and are genuinely glad to see them. Dr Cox and the other vets take the time to thoroughly examine the animals and to answer any questions that we have, the appt is never rushed. When we need an appt we are able to get in quickly, and the care that they receive is second to none. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone and wouldn't take my pets anywhere else

Cat was showing obvious signs of hyperthyroidism. Brought him for exam, tests. However, they didn't even run a thyroid test. I got the results and specifically had to ask them to test the thyroid level as well. My cat passed away shortly after they put him on too strong of a dose of thyroid meds. My other cat I brought for just his vaccines and exam. They didn't even check his teeth which turns out are in bad shape. Unless you can diagnose your animal yourself and instruct them on exactly what to do.. Don't even bother. Most recently just requested them to fill a prescription sent directly to them from my dogs vet (just closer location for pickup) and they refused with no explanation after letting me know they do carry it. Just completely useless.
